Five Guys Liverpool Street in City of London, Westminster

We visited here having been to see The Snowman. I was with my daughter and twin 3 year old granddaughters but the whole experience was disappointing to say the least. My daughter ordered and I wanted to use the disabled toilet - it's easier with 2 little people but it was locked and staff couldn't find the key. We were sent upstairs to use the toilets there, but had to wait for our order because we needed a code! Having washed their hands, my granddaughter sat on the floor so we needed to wash our hands again, but I couldn't remember the code. Yes, this is my fault - but it certainly doesn't help the experience, phoning my daughter who was downstairs with the receipt (and the code). I gave my daughter £50 for our meal and was surprised when she said it wasn't enough. My daughter and I had a burger and chips and the girls SHARED a hot dog (no chips). We had three drinks between the 4 of us. That's 3 meals - £53.80 !! Dirty table, dirty floor (if your granddaughter decides to lie on it), no disabled toilet, codes for the upstairs toilets and overpriced food presented in a piece of foil. Chips were pale and flabby and not hot. Service was quick and staff were polite. When the boys at school asked about my week-end, I told them about my experience. Why didn't you just go to Nando's, was their response. Why indeed?! There's another fast food place round the corner that would have been £30 cheaper.

快餐中算是不錯的。但是在倫敦⋯⋯ 昨天第一餐（这里已经夜里10点半），来回快走25分钟买个FiveGuys充饥。內容物：上中下三片面包、二片牛肉、二片芝士、洋葱、生菜、蕃茄=11苵磅。饮料及其他如薯条都约另加4～6英磅。

Avoid this place!! Before I elaborate, I should say that I am a fan of Five Guys and have used other Five Guys franchises without issue and very much enjoyed the experience. However, on my one visit to this place my experience was dreadful. My order was prepared wrongly, the toppings were not what I had ordered. And staff were surly when challenged about it. But, this was the least concerning thing. The person placing toppings on the buns was not wearing gloves and was using her mobile phone intermittently between orders (mobile phones are, of course, sources of bacteria!!). If I could have given a zero rating, I would have!! I did try to provide feedback directly to Five Guys online but it's not exactly user friendly and I gave up in the end! And then I witnessed the grill person (who seemed more concerned with chatting than doing her job) drop another customer's hot dog sausage on the floor. So I'm thinking "that's going to cause a disappointing delay while she cooks another one". But no!!! She simply picked it up off the floor and placed it back on the grill. 🤢🤮 Disgusting!!! I'm sure this sort of thing happens in some other restaurants but pretty shocking to see it happen in an open grill restaurant in full view of customers. As I mentioned in the title, avoid this place!!
