Pret a Manger in City of London, Westminster

The prices are quite affordable, I had a coffee for 99p, the best price I have paid for a coffee in London, since it is not far from important places in the city. I totally recommend taking a break, having a coffee and recharging your batteries to continue.

The staff is friendly and the food is good. But the cleaning could be better. I have been to several establishments and the tables were always sticky.

Had a nice lunch. Wide choice of freshly made sandwiches and salads. Unfortunately only 1 toilet.

I actually really liked the sandwiches here, even though they are obviously not freshly made.

I've used the Too Good to Go app. They always provided me with such good amount of food and variety.

It was the usual Pret experience – quick and efficient. I just grabbed a coffee to go, but it was nice to see they had a toilet available and plenty of seating inside if I'd wanted to stay.

One toilet for customers. 15 minute queue to use it. No toilet paper, no soap, hand dryer not working, paper all over the floor. Staff attitude surly. Cafe not very busy.

Prêt-a-Manger is a network of 498 UK sandwich & coffee shops is Starbucks style. Prêt King William is located close to the 62m high column Monument of the Great Fire of London, near London Bridge. The café offers coffees, soft-drinks, pre-packed sandwiches and salads. Furnishings and decoration provide a no-nonsense atmosphere. Service is not more than adequate. Tables aren’t cleaned. We went for a sandwich and a baguette accompanied with a bottle of mineral water. The food was average.

I've been visiting this Pret A Manger for about a year now, and unfortunately, the experience has consistently been disappointing. Every time I go, there's always a long queue, so be prepared for a lengthy wait. Despite the rush, there are usually no more than two servers working, and most of the staff seem to have their backs turned, which only adds to the frustration. When you finally get to the counter, expect to repeat your order multiple times. You will often have to repeat whether your items are to eat in or take away, if you have a loyalty card, if you want a bag, and how you would like to pay. The servers are often slow and inattentive, making the whole process more tedious than it needs to be. Overall, the service here leaves much to be desired. I hope management takes notice and makes some much-needed improvements.

I enjoy the falafel halloumi wrap from Pret, and at my local branch, they always ensure it's fresh and heat it up for me. However, when I recently visited the Pret at London Bridge, my experience was quite different. The wrap I received crumbled apart and had a burnt taste, indicating it had been left in the heated cabinet for too long. This particular store seems to neglect proper food handling practices. On a previous visit, I requested a fresh wrap as the one on display looked old, but the floor manager rudely responded that they wouldn't make a new one until the current batch was sold. The customer service at this location is consistently poor and unprofessional.

Pret a Manger at London Bridge is a great spot for a quick, tasty meal. The sandwiches, salads, and coffee are always fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient, making it perfect for a quick lunch or coffee break. It's also clean and has a nice atmosphere, great for a quick stop while exploring the area.

The staff of this place is horrible. I went to take a coffee inside, after 2 min drinking the coffee they told me that they were closing, but in the “opening times” on the door said they will close 30min later to that time. I asked if I could have my money back, because I bought the coffee to stay there (it was really cold outside) and the manager told me in a really bad way no,and that I should leave now. I said in that case I’ll stay here until finish the coffee. After arguing with her, she took me from my arm, and of course I told her to don’t touch me and that she could call the police if she sees it necessary because I didn’t want to leave until finish the coffee. After 15 min, I finished my coffee and of course I left.

Went there every day for breakfast. Great coffee, fresh food, free wifi

Ordered a soy matcha latte, it was out of some sort of a tea bag and brown color, didn’t even taste like matcha at all. very lazy and disappointing

You know what to expect at a Pret!

With a arrogant rude lady working there asking customers to order first before you sit in there.

I asked the staff to let me use the washroom but they didn’t allow, asked me to order first and I was there to have coffee but after the staff’s behaviour I just left

My favourite! The food and drinks quality and the price, all of them are way superior to starbucks! Not to mention the good deeds this shop does at the end of the day! They donate the food to those in need, not throwing it away in the bins. This shop is the first to do this kind gesture.

First time visiting this store of Pret. Had a peppermint Tea and a children's cheese sandwich. VERY dissapointed with the sandwich because the bread was clearly stale. Hard like a brick !!! Not sure how long sandwiches are kept in the selling area? But I just didn't want to be that person to state the same sandwich was NOT nice at all. Will I revisit this pret in Monument again, probably not...

Quite nice but way to expensive

The food didn't seem fresh to me, so I only chose a coffee. The only restroom (1) is quite filthy and needs more frequent cleaning.

The best coffee in London, fresh and healthy options! The best part, the people! Getting my coffee everyday from Pret in the Strand next to Waterloo bridge, my favorite morning routine. It is a happy moment when you live in a such a big city to be genuinely asked of your day is and a wish for a great one. Thank you!

Very negative atmosphere and anger staff. I don’t know their names the ones seem have Eastern European background I think. Shouting at you and complaining if you asked for tissue or something never say hello or thank you or they use their hands to direct you to the payment or using membership. No words no communication no smile no thanks you no hello. Very rude and arrogant. I did not pay money to be treated like this. 16 February 2024, 13:00

Food and drinks exactly the same as any other Pret so no problem there, but the staff here have no manners. No please, thank you, smile or eye-contact.

I visited the coffee shop around 6pm today, and unfortunately, had a negative experience. The barista seemed preoccupied, taking orders while making other drinks, making it difficult to understand if she was just shouting or taking my order. The overall service was quite rude. It’s a busy touristy area, you need better staff.

Just don't go there! Staff are rude and unhelpful and dont like disabled people. Refused entry to the disabled toilet. Never again.

Nice Pret location nearby the river. Great to sit in as there's lots of space and is generally quite quiet.

We were thrown out from the tables at 4.40pm when the pret closes at 6pm, they told us the back is closed go and sit at the front when there were at least 10 tables in the back being used, nearly an hour and a half before closing¿? And they were very rude about it. There was obviously not enough space for all of us so we had to leave. There is only one unisex toilet and a closed disabled toilet, even though the queue was very long at no moment did they offer to open the other toilet. The coffee was also bad, I ended up throwing it away as it tasted like the coconut milk had been out for too long.

This place is located at the opposite side of London Bridge. I used to grab food a few times while on my way to work.

Why are you reading a review about a Pret? Why am I writing a review about a Pret? It's a Pret. The food and drinks are the same here as all the others, and haven't changed since the beginning of time. It's a Pret. You'll either like it (because it's like a Pret) or you won't (because you're fancy). Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk. Oh, this one is large and has a nice view of 2 main roads, if you're in to that sort of thing.

Ordered a cappuccino which was served incredibly fast. But again I don't get why the big chains are serving warm coffee instead of hot. And ordered one caramel blonde shaker for my daughter. It took her few seconds to finish it and all she was left with lots of ice in her cup. 😕 I don't understand what's the big hype about Pret. Sorry, but I was a bit disappointed with the price I paid.

Need a quick bite to get energy levels back up and rest. Nice tasting baguettes and crisps. Not cheap but this is London.

Buy £30 Membership and you are good to go... i was in UK for 22 days ... and haf cofee... shakes... cooller from PRET... This is good for tourist and local both...

Staff are incredibly rude. These are not people who I would recommend of representing the Pret brand. Been to Pret as my "go to" for many years but this one experience has put me off. Completely inhuman with her actions and Candy does not follow the Pret values. Sorry guys, but this was a terrible experience, please train your staff better!

ICE tea, Rhubarb lemonade & a bottle of water 7.50£. They have a toilet here and it’s cold inside. At sunny days with 28 degrees very nice. You can’t charge your phone with usb that’s the only think I’m missing. But it’s very nice here :)

I had a lovely stay at the back of the shop where the sun was shining in. Sat whilst we had our coffees. It was pleasant and peaceful.

Really good sandwiches and the coffee is OK.

Staff are always friendly and hardworking, especially during the morning coffee rush hour. However, the place itself is very noisy and not ideal for on-the-go work or client meetings. Logistics and queueing are also a bit chaotic for morning coffee - expect almost 10 minutes from queue to order to coffee pick-up. 17.00 pm sharp closing time.

Seems like an okay pret a manger and maybe I went in on an off day as they had been extremely short staffed and were very very busy. It was a bit chaotic and there were a lot of people waiting for drinks. Other than that its what you expect from any other pret a manger.

Grea ambience and lovely place to be in - stone throw away from London bridge and the river Thames. A little expensive to pocket but is worth due to posh location and ambience offered.

Typical pret as you know it. However the toilet was extremely dirty. Especially since it also serves as a toilet for disabled people this is a big no no.

Standard Pret food and drink but nice spacious restaurant with view towards the Monument.

I visit this Pret regularly and have always received speedy, friendly service and fresh food. There are many places to sit, eat and work and they always have a range of vegetarian food options (not all the nearby coffee shops do). ☕️ Cappuccino £3.75 (50p discount if you use a reusable cup) 🥐 Croissant £2.10 🌯 Falafel and Halloumi hot wrap £5.35 Would recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite or something to drink while you’re on the go. Also in the area: 🗺️ This Pret is located on the same road as London Bridge and just around the corner, you’ll find the monument to the Fire of London.

I love Pret. Their subscription service is great if you work in London. This pret is nice and spacious, lots of room to sit and plug sockets if you need to charge your devices. The staff as, usual are friendly and helpful. It's a great spot for a hot drink in the heart of the business district.

Quite quiet and spacious considering it’s location at the end of London Bridge! Plenty of booths and tables until they close them at 5pm! Staff were extremely lovely! Food was a little expensive £5 for a sandwich but otherwise was a great! ✨

Busy due to location on London Bridge, good drinks. Spoilt by a queue of people snaking through the seating area waiting to use the toilet. I was there long enough to watch that the majority were not customers using the toilet but people walking in off the street without making a purchase. If you don't mind non paying people using your toilet facilities, you need to clean them ALOT more often! Staff though, served with a smile.

This Pret is much bigger than you would expect when you first arrive, there is loads of space at the back.

Spacious. Quick service. Great location. Tables are not cleaned regularly, so can be a bit uncomfortable and dirty towards the end of the day. Drinks always smoldering hot 🔥

Ordered a turmeric latte, waited about 20 minutes (there was no queue). Asking staff what was going on after about 5 mins but kept being told “please wait”, there was some kind of issue but they were trying to sort it without telling me what it was. Manager comes out eventually to tell me “it doesn’t exist” like I was an idiot for ordering it (I had one recently - didn’t know this had changed). No apology. Why was I sold something that doesn’t exist? “The staff only work weekends so they didn’t know.” Top Tip: if the menu changes, tell the staff (maybe take it off the till). Good practice to change the poster of the thing in the window as well. Didn’t bother taking an alternative drink, not because I didn’t want one - I had just spent enough time staring into the abyss waiting for my non existent beverage to land and had to get out of there.

On vacation and never heard of this place...looked inviting and smelled delicious. My sandwich was amazing. Very much enjoyed the food and atmosphere...will come back again 😁
