We were in the town centre and decided to get something to eat from here. The place was quite busy but managed to find a table. We ordered food and drinks which didn't take too long to be ready. The food was good, I had the chocolate milkshake which was good, it might be best to get a couple of straws as the paper straw breaks easily. Overall the place seemed clean, the food was good. Nice place to get something to eat

Don’t usually do reviews, but this one deserves it. I ordered a delivery - two burgers and a large chips. Both burgers turned up wrong (1 worse than the other for what it’s worth). I called the restaurant and after some back and forth, the manager conceded they were wrong - no real apology at any point. I was under the impression, as I’ve paid for delivery, it would be re delivered - I waited an hour, no burger, and called back. Turns out, despite already paying for delivery, I need to go collect my new burger from the restaurant - this could have been communicated more clearly but the end of the call was abrupt from Five Guys - really bad customer service. I turn up to the restaurant and ask the manager why he couldn’t redeliver the order, he explains ‘they can’t, but I could get a refund’ - thanks Mr Manager but if I do that I’m still back to square one… hungry, genius. Still no real apology by the way. I’ve taken the liberty of bringing back the wrong/unwanted burger - but ‘he can’t accept it’, what do you want me to do with it Mr Manager, I didn’t ask for it in the first place? I start thinking this must be a wind up surely? I ask for the correct burger and sit/wait - no offer of a drink or anything whilst I wait for this burger I ordered 90mins ago and paid for delivery for which I’m now collecting, just a hostile environment - where is the customer service? The most frustrating part about this is Five Guy’s answer to them delivering the wrong food is ‘get a refund’ - no attempt to correct their mistake or apologise. Absolute shambles really. I recommend you try another place to get your burgers - it’ll save you some money, time and effort

We were in the town centre and decided to get something to eat from here. The place was reasonably busy but managed to get a table. There is some seating directly outside the restaurant in the middle section of the walkway inside the Touchwood building. We ordered food which didn't take too long to collect. The burger was really good, we also tried a hot dog but this wasn't the best and wouldn't recommend ordering it. I had a chocolate milkshake which was really good. The chips were good. Overall the place seemed clean, the food was mostly good. Location is good. It is pricey but it is worth visiting here

Staff are great. Me and my son visited Sunday afternoon following a trip to cadbury world. He has wanted to try five guys for so long and wasn’t disappointed. Wasn’t sure how itordering worked but Ella explained everything, so helpful. Ordered a cheese burger, small cheese burger, fries and orio milkshake. Burgers delicious could choose from as many or little toppings as you wanted , I had lettuce grilled onion relish ketchup, all so tasty, got a regular fries and could have managed with a small to share between us both. If we are in the area again will definitely return.

Me and my husband rolled in at roughly 9pm after catching a movie ordered the five guys style milkshakes fries and 2 bacon cheeseburgers all the way the food was hot and fresh the restaurant was clean and we received the upmost quality of customer service by a young man called Alfie he was informative on the origins of the food and where to arrange transport after the meal(though irrelevant to the quality of food and service) making us feel welcome. Overall I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family.

Been to a Five Guys at Merry Hill, that one is far better, Solihull branch music far too loud, turn it down please, food average, expensive for what it is really, tomato ketchup was in difficult to open sachets, useless, over salted fries, why can't you salt your own, won't go back again to Solihull branch but Luke deserves a thumbs up, the chap on the counter, as he was good.

We bowled in at 6.15pm on Friday 10 Feb. We fancied a burger before going to see the Upbeat Beatles Show at the nearby Core Theatre. We were immediately struck by how cold & stark the place is. Very large, with no atmosphere whatsoever. The tables are cheap & bare & the seats uncomfortable as if they don't want you to stay & eat in. There are no table menus available, no condiments, no cutlery, you have to eat with your fingers. You order at the counter, pay & are given a number. You then wait for a member of staff to shout out your number & then collect your meals in a tall brown paper bag. Your burger is wrapped in foil. The burger was nice but they are unwieldy & break up & that's why you need cutlery. The prices overall are ridiculously expensive. A small portion of fries £3.45, milkshakes £5.45-outrageous! A beaker of coke £3.85. The only bright spot was the help given to us by a young male member of staff called Tom. He is a hard worker, always clearing up & attentive. All in all, very overpriced & disappointing. We won't be rushing back. Q

We had come out of the cinema at about 10 and were looking for something to take home with us to eat, this place looked empty so came here. It is expensive, but I’m not a fan of the other big burger franchise which I feel I too cheap, so hopefully it would be worth the money. All of the toilets were locked, there was only one other couple in there so they weren’t full. We received our food and went to the car where I dipped into a like warm, half spiced bag of chips. Our journey was only about 10 minutes, and when we opened the burger (which had been wrapped in foil) it was also like warm. It looked like a nice burger, but for the price it should at least have been heated up. Half spiced chips were ok once heated up. This was the first time I had been to Five Guys so won’t be coming back to this specific one. They can’t ask be this bad?

Greasy mess! You will leave with a ringing in your ears and I love music and regularly go to live music but it was so loud the day we went people were walking out .. the lady behind the counter couldn’t hear what we wanted but after a few attempts we ordered .. my daughter loves a grilled cheese sandwich so straight away she went for that .. the rest of us burgers and hotdogs with chips to share .. £80+ with drinks ( one milkshake the rest pop ) We got our food and sat down and sorted out .. what a joke the grilled cheese sandwich is ! It must cost about 20p to make .. a burger bun with a slice of burger cheese in my daughter was gutted and left it her older sister took her to Costa to get a toastie and they ate outside . The burgers were ok a greasy and not worth the price but ok . The hotdogs were small and not very impressive chips were soggy .. if you want to try five guys go to the one at resorts world not this one .. there are loads more restaurants near this one that are nicer .. to be honest the Pizza Hut buffet lunch upstairs from this would be a better choice or any of the other restaurants near by . It was a shame as we were all looking forward to this but it just wasn’t that nice for what you’ll pay .

Came here for the first time in a few years and soon remembered why I left it so long. I don't mind paying for quality but they just don't justify the price. Ordered a 'mini' single burger with bacon and cheese a £4 grilled cheese sandwich' for my daughter, shared a fries and a milkshake and what we got was probably worth about £10 not £22. The overpriced burger started falling apart at the first bite the bun was so soggy. The burger patty was tiny. I imagine it was hot but the two slices of tomato they put on were both ice cold which made the whole burger actually ice cold. My daughter's £4 'grilled cheese sandwich' consisted of a burger but turned inside with a slice of processed cheese in the middle and grilled. How they can justify charging £4.00 for what must be 20p bun and a 10p slice of cheese is beyond me. Fries were plentiful but incredibly greasy and certainly not worth £4.50 and the £5 milkshake wasn't even a full cup and had no cream on like they used to. When you compare where else and what else you can eat for the price they charge you realize what poor value it is.

The walls are plastered with articles from across the world praising Five Guys, and the previous times I’d tried them they were definitely a step up from the two base level brands and close to the gourmet end. This however was very disappointing - the all in elements are a great idea but made for a soggy bun falling apart after the first bite, and the whole meal was way way below burger offerings at local pubs despite being more expensive

I've had Five Guys before both in store and with Deliveroo. It costs considerably more than other burgers but I dont mind paying extra as it's normally delicious. Tonight after paying just over £60 for a meal and milkshakes for three people, we found the meal to be quite disgusting. The burgers were tasteless and the buns were soggy, the milkshakes were still quite nice, but the chips were rank. They were dry, overdone and tasted as if they'd been cooked at lunchtime and left over. I love their chips normally but these were completely below standard. They had also missed a portion of the order, but when we complained they said it was Deliveroos fault. We contacted Deliveroo and yes, they have given is a £5 voucher but that's only to ensure repeat business.I would certainly never order Five Guys takeaway again. What a total waste of money!

Five Guys is one of the nicer fast food restaurants out there. Everything tastes delicious and is clearly fresh, portion sizes are decent. More of a treat than McDonalds because it is at a higher price point. Got to say, I was served by the loveliest member of staff, Alexandra I believe, who was so sweet. £30 for two burgers and fries and one unlimited soft drink....one would hope for great service. The young lady taking our order looked bored, disinterested and was verging on downright rude, barking questions at us impatiently. Couldn’t fault the quality of the ingredients when the food came. However the chips were almost inedibly salty. In all fairness when I mentioned this to the incredibly pleasant and apologetic young man who asked us how our meal was, he offered to make us some fresh replacements. A few tweaks here could make this the super burger joint that this deserves to be.

My first visit to a Five Guys establishment. A bit of a shock that you have to pay for extras like fries and drinks, i.e. no meal deals, but at least the toppings are free. Food is good, of that there is no doubt, the portions are large, perhaps too large for those of us wanting a smaller bite. The restaurant seating area always seems to be sparce and maybe that's because it's always freezing in there. It's not a comforting welcoming place, just a fast food burger bar. I have read a lot of reviews about 5 Guys and the main moan seems to be the price. Well yes its at a price that makes it an occasional treat but so what. Its bloody lovely, one of the best burgers ever and the chips are lush, Just go,

I liked... the sheer size of the burger; taste which was far more 'Handmade' than McDonalds; fresh ingredients; great chips; the simple, customisable, no frills concept (you get a burger with choice of standard toppings & sauces, two kinds of chips to choose and that's your lot apart from some free peanuts;) quick & efficient service; cleanliness (I was expecting less.) I didn't like... price. Given this is as stripped down as it comes -self serve drinks, minimal decor, plastic forks, limited menu & condiments, paper bags...) I do feel I paid a bit too much. Given it sits between McDonalds & Handmade, the price tag should reflect this. And the chip portions weren't as big as everyone makes out BTW. Overall... great grub, not convinced I'd come back. If I need to 'get in, fill up and out quick' I might as well go to a McD or BK, compromise on a taste but save half the money and half the calories. If I want a proper treat, I would probably want to spend the same amount and gave more or a restaurant experience (seriously, it's so stripped down it makes GBK and Honest feel like a 7 courser at a Michelin Star palace.)

O Bacon cheeseburger com batatas fritas estava muito gostoso. De fato o hambúrguer deles é saboroso. E como complemento tomei um Milk shake de salted caramel que estava ótimo.

I took a family of 4 here around a week ago. We hadn't been to a five guys before and I wanted to try something different.Firstly I must say I would have much preferred to have a small menu on the table as you have to order at the till while reading off the board and when there are other people in the que it can feel like you have to rush.I ordered 4 burgers, 1 small fries and 1 large fries, 2 milkshakes and two refillable drinks. This all came to £50. The burger itself was high quality and the milkshakes were also high quality, it was difficult to work out which one belonged to who as they all come wrapped in foil. One thing I was VERY IMPRESSED with is that I noticed that the "restrooms" were GENDER NEUTRAL which I thought was excellent and the facilities were clean and tidy.

On average, we (mum and dad and two kids) eat passably at our local branches of the Golden Arches for just under or just over £20. So to get asked to pay almost £60 for lunch out for four - 4 burgers and fries; 3 shakes - is a bit much, especially when our order was wrong - we asked for a little bacon burger and a standard bacon burger but got a full sized bacon and a bacon with cheese instead. Both parents' identical bacon cheeseburgers with specified extra fixings were to spec. Two things: order taker should ask if it's a first visit and advise things like that even 'little fries' serving is enormous; one or two, not four, would have done us. And staff taking break, with shouted handover, mid-burger assembly and order packing, is a guaranteed way to fudge an order, as ours was.The good: burgers are very customisable (assuming order is made up right), taste delish and come much hotter than Maccy D's with much better (all Irish) beef patties and fixings. And the peanut oil-fried fries are to die for, also taste great and are piping hot (unlike at the Arches) and salted just right. Staff are friendly and helpful; our table was cleared for us rather than us putting the trash in the bin.Sticker shock will deter a return, especially after an Anglophile friend up Chicago way tells me the burgers that cost around £6 here are the equivalent of £3 at his local Five Guys outlets.Quality, yes, but at too high a cost. And more attention to getting orders right, please.

As per the title, I love this place. The fresh made burgers are fantastic and the cajun fries are to die for. Never tried a milkshake but I've only heard great things about them also. For me I love the massive variety in the refillable drinks machine. It is pricey though, my only negative. But even so still still a 5 star rating from me

At first glance you might think that Five Guys is a bit pricey for a burger and truth be told it is for any regular burger! but this is not a regular burger!!What I love about Five Guys is that the food is always fresh and you really can taste that you are getting a really good burger. You can even see where the potatoes for the fries have come from that day!. Once you've bought the burger or hot dog of your choice you can load it with as many toppings as you like so it's different every time. The portion sizes are not skimpy either. A small fries would have easily been enough for two and the drinks are huge and refillable. Overall an addictively good burger bar that is definitely worth it!

The first and best thing i noticed about this place was the free monkey nuts. Great touch and good to nibble while you wait. Then i noticed the price. It cost around £15 for fries and a burger, no drink. The burger was good, the fries too. The drinks machine was insane. My friend had some crazy coke flavour that i had never even heard of. The guy that served me was very very good. Helpful, polite and professional. All in all though i cant justify the price. There are a lot of these kind of places around now. Independent and chains so out of all of them this place didn't stand out at all really. I guess everybody should try this place once but it all seemed like a bit of an overpriced novelty to me.

I went here for a meal with friends. The place was welcoming and clean and it has a huge selection of toppings to add to your burgerThe burgers themselves are quite expensive - a meal for two with chips easily comes to over £20 - but they are worth itJuicy, succulent and full of flavour. I absolutely loved it and I will definitely be coming back for more!

Great burgers... So very very tasty and I've honestly never had better bacon. But do expect to pay the earth and don't expect. The staff to be happy about you being there! Other than those two things it's clean, it's quick and it's tasty and it does keep me coming back!

Took my children here and after the food and drinks for four people the bill was well over £40. Yes the food was excellent - but in my opinion a little overpriced. You could get the same taste at Burger king. All said - the burgers are very good - im just having a moan about the prices

I think this type of restaurant is a bit pass it's time. I really don't see why you would choice to eat here over Nando's upstairs. It's more unhealthy and tastes a bit nasty. It's just a more expensive McDonalds. I have nothing against the service, staff are friendly and lovely. But not for me.

This place seems confused....it's trying to be a fast food joint...but hits you with a complex array of choices and a unfriendly style of service assuming that on your visit you should clearly understand their approach is everything is an extra!! Visited with four kids, Zero child menu options available, so your forced down the root of getting the smallest cheese burger and fries and drinks... all which will set you back nearly £50(Burger, chips & a drink!) Decent restaurants charge less and you get desserts, if the establish wants to charge these prices then please try and make an effort to keep the place clean, tables were just untidy and the drinks area was messy! The wait for food was way too long - as confused customers were all just standing blocking the drinks area waiting for their brown bags of junk food! Various other reviews rave that the price tag is because of the quality, rubbish, this a chain, no one in the place knows how to even make a burger, the burgers are just average, pre purchased and serving them in foil....again an attempt to be 'trendy' just makes the bread bun all damp and generally just puts you off! So will not be going back - first and last visit - far better options out there for the same price and much less!!! Gotta do better guys!!!

Fastfood maar dan net wat lekkerder. Burgers hier zijn erg goed (veel keuze voor toppings/sauzen) en de sfeer is 'authentiek' Amerikaans. Aanrader!

Went to McD's but with queues at the door and lacking any saintly patience we walked ! Five guys is 2mins walk and queues much smaller - if you manage to stay standing when they total your order it's worth waiting for. 2 burgers, 1 hotdog, 1 fries (enough for 3)+ 3 drinks = £32 !The burgers all cooked fresh no microwaves in sight and waiting was only 3mins. Whilst the food is expensive it's a better burger - you should visit at least once just so you can judge all other burgers by this. Don't forget to get a scoop of monkey nuts - caution contains nuts. Staff were all polite and the dining areas quickly cleaned.

As it was my turn to choose the food of the night before the film I really wanted to go here, the wife on the other hand is not a big burger fan so ended up with a subway. My burger was amazing I had a double cheese bacon burger with mushrooms, fried onions, lettice, tomatoes, mayo and ketchup with a regular fries (that serves 2) and a coke (free refills) it all came to just over £15 which is a bit pricy but well worth it.This place is a proper burger joint and well worth a visit if you like burgers.

This place does cook a great burger, it is slightly expensive for the setting and overall type of restaurant. But as far as burgers go these are bloody tasty. The Chips are skin in fries which are tasty and given in copious amounts into your brown paper bag.

It's quick easy and delicious to be honest, there's obviously someone counting the calories on these bad boy burgers but honestly you do not care about that when you are eating here. Staff always seem to be on point and working hard and seem genuinely happy working there and it shows because of how friendly and upbeat they are when you are placing your order. Will be going back here again and again..maybe not to much though, as the pounds with start to show.

Well, let's start with the positives.Loved that there was a certain number of free toppings for the burgersLoved that you could have loads of different varieties of Diet CokeThe burger was pretty tastyThe place itself was quite funThe negatives:Vastly over priced, it cost us £40 for 2 drinks fries burgers and one hot dog. It was especially annoying as there were news paper clippings advertising the $5 burger when there isn't a £5 burger in the place that is not for a child.£5 for large fries is a joke too. The burgers are certainly edible but at £9 for just a burger they need to have more meat in them and should come with fries as £40 for essentially a glorified take away is just laughable.

The food is tasty and warrants a solid 4 but the price holds it back for me. Doesn't do enough to differntiate itself from other burger joints in my humble opinion but nonetheless food is good and the staff help build a good atmosphere

I had my baby shower here as it’s one of my favourite restaurants. I have to say the service was outstanding. Nothing was too much bother and the staff are always friendly. Mario the manager made my baby shower joyful and made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. I always look forward to visiting as the atmosphere is calm whether you’re popping in for a few drinks or food. I’ll be back soon
