Five Guys in Leeds

Staff were friendly a helpful, explaining to my friend (first time in Five Guys) how it all worked and even gave recommendations. Food was great and exactly what we wanted - some good quality food fast and without pointless frills. Sure its pricey but you can taste where the money goes and the staff were cheerier and more helpful than a lot of restaurants in Leeds.

Ordered £60 of food and were delivered just two milkshakes. The driver then left. At time of writing, I have called the restaurant 15 times with no answer. My partner has just left to go to the restaurant in person to find out what has happened. Absolutely useless.

It was my first trip to a Five Guys and I am not particularly a fan of burgers but Five Guys has certainly changed my thinking. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady called Ana who kindly explained the options and delivered excellent service. Although there were only two members of staff when we arrived during a bit of a rush, we were served efficiently and with lots of smiles from both Ana and Jess, who was busy preparing the food. I ordered a burger with lots of fillings including bacon, mushrooms, onion and mayo which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the hotdog and we shared a large fries. The food was excellent quality and in my view it justifies the prices charged. I will definitely be visiting again.

It was my birthday and I didn’t catch his name but he made a very nice gesture towards my birthday and it made my day. Thank you so much young man!

Great burger, fast, friendly service! Cajun spiced fries were awesome! Would definitely come back for a quick, easy meal!

The lady who served us at Five Guys Kirkstall on Monday 14 August was so helpful! She advised me on what burger size to buy for my nephews, slipped us a few extra chips when we couldn’t decide what size to get and helped my nephew remove an overly tight wristband from his arm that was causing discomfort. Such a lovely friendly lady who made our trip much easier and more relaxed! Only docking a point as - as a vegetarian - I’d like a veggie burger on the menu but the branch itself was lovely! Thank you :)

We ate here back in August. We had hamburger, bacon cheeseburger, hot dog and a child's hamburger. We shared a large chips. We also had refillable drinks. It was all fine, but nothing special and relatively expensive for takeaway food.

Ordered a lettuce wrap burger, absolutely disgusting. Sad, flimsy lettuce wrapped around a cold burger with cheese that I didn’t ask for - I ordered plain. (Very worrying for people with allergies). For two burgers and fries cost nearly £30 - appalling quality and price. As I had driven there I was unable to go back to the store to get a refund / replacement and unable to get through on the phone number for the store. Please can I have a refund for my incorrect order? I am coeliac so was looking forward to having a burger that I could eat. Sadly this all went into the bin.

My first visit to Five Guys. A little underwhelmed with the decor. Burger was really good. Fries were delicious but portion size was too big.

Really great food today - delicious. Even more amazing service from Aleksandra very patient and attentive. Gave great recommendations and explained how the menu worked. Very smiley team of people. And very clean. Thanks.

Really nice shakes, Staff were friendly. However nothing could quite prepare me for the disappointment ahead. Completely tasteless meat and that's before we even get to the pricing which is absolutely laughable!. I have had better microwaved burgers. Maybe this is an isolated case or purely down to personal preference but for £9 a burger I expected great things and not to throw nearly £5 of it in the bin. I feel sorry for people's taste buds that eat this regularly!

Today I had my first Five Guys experience with my friend. We just came in to get a milkshake as we had already eaten. I got the biscoff milkshake which was very tasty. It was reasonably priced too and we were served by a very friendly man. The whole place had a very relaxed, American feel to it. I would love to come back and try a burger. Only thing I would say is there aren't many veggie options - it's a very meaty place (luckily I love meat) with even one of the milkshakes being bacon flavoured. Also there was a burger left out on the counter where the staff were working which kind of put me off, but otherwise jt was a very nice experience!

The best five guys around. We've been to many five guys around the country and found this one to be the best one we've ever had! The burgers were cooked properly and not rushed. The lad on the till took our order and even told us roughly how long it would be. Really nice and will be back again!

Burgers great as always but what stood out was the amazing service. Chloe and Conner were fantastic, professional and friendly. Gave a very good impression of the business. Also the girl dressed in black cleaning was lovey as we left. Said thanks a lot and have a lovely day. Well done team.

1 cheese burger, 1 fries and two milkshakes, £25. Thats fillet steak prices in a nice restaurant with table service, not cheese burger sitting on plastic seats and food served in a brown paper bag. The quality of the food is good though.

Myself and my boyfriend were after a burger before going home and Cameron (we assumed he is the assistant manager of the Leeds store on Boar Lane) was so kind, funny and really helpful. We could tell that he was stressed as it was very busy and they were so close to closing, yet the doorman seemed to just keep letting people in. He apologised that it would take a while, which we were totally understanding of and really didn’t mind at all as we could see how much pressure they were all under and there were a lot of people in the restaurant that were drunk and removing their face masks. The burgers were lush. The fries were amazing. And the milkshakes were out of this world. (Chocolate, caramel and biscoff is a massive shout. Excellent recommendation) Massive massive thank you to all the staff there, but particularly Cameron!

Ordered a click and collect for the first time. Received it freshly cooked snd hot. The burger was nice and I enjoyed that. The chips however weren’t edible, the amount of salt on them was crazy. Such a shame as it could have been a nice meal and generous portions

Food excellent as always, but I won’t be eating in for the foreseeable future as they’re just too casual about hygiene, examples include - So noisy that the guy taking our order leaned around his Perspex screen to hear us - had to ask for table to be cleaned before we sat down. It was just wiped with a cloth. When I queried the lack of cleaning product I was told it was already on the cloth - I wasn’t convinced. Also no attempt to clean the benches - no cleaning of the self serve drinks machine, which is a touch screen. Saw some kids playing with the ice handle and had to call someone over to clean that too. Clearly no routines in place for such a high touch item

Popped in during the eat out to help out scheme and was really impressed. Restaurant looked very well maintained and cleaned, all standards were being followed. Cheeseburger, fries and a drink went down an absolute treat. Big thank you to Trev and Adam for having me well looked after. Thank you so much.

So Five Guys isn't the best for gluten free and vegetarian so I usually just get the fries as a snack on the go, which are really good and worth the money. With the government £10 off I decided to try the veggie sandwich in a box to make it gluten free. I didn't point out my allergy until after I had already paid I was asked if it was a gluten allergy. Then, they realised I couldn't have some of the ingredients as they would normally be cooked because of cross-contamination. One staff member in particular was concerned it wouldn't be that great and essentially a cold salad because of this. I'm used to paying full price and not getting meals as they should be as I am gluten free so it didn't bother me too much and I was getting the government discount. However, this one staff member (and I assume a manager making the final decision) went out of his way to make it the best it could be. I should have checked before paying what I could and could not eat but when they knew I had an allergy they did everything they could to make it a good experience for me. A heads up to those who are gluten free and veggie, I wouldn't get the veggie sandwich in a box because the ingredients cannot be fried due to cross-contamination and it endes up being a basic salad - as I was told by the staff when they knew my allergy. Therefore, I wouldn't pay full price for it, which is why I was happy to try it out using the government discount. However, this is not down to the individual restaurant and I cannot fault the staff for their help and being gluten free it makes me confident to go back there. Thank you, especially as it was a busy restaurant during lunch time.

The price is very high but you get what you pay for! The staff were very lovely and friendly. The food was excellent and massive portions of chips!!!!!! Definitely will be returning soon🍟🍔

Los precios son bastante altos, y la comida no es tan buena como solía ser. Solíamos visitar aquí hace unos años, la hamburguesa estaba deliciosa, y tienes muchas papas fritas por el precio. Ahora parece haber habido un recorte y definitivamente no es tan bueno como solía ser.

Realmente nos gusta Five Guys, y este es nuestro local: siempre está impecable, siempre es rápido y siempre excepcionalmente sabroso. Lo que distingue a Kirkstall de los demás para mí es que el personal siempre parece estar realmente disfrutando de su trabajo: siempre hay sonrisas y siempre un gran ambiente. No es barato, pero parece que siempre se usan ingredientes de calidad y la comida está bien preparada y es muy sabrosa.

Ordered via Deliveroo. 1 burger + cheese and delivery £15..... Tiny burger arrived, no cheese, no hot sauce. Not worth that cash, not worth the wait. It tasted good but was tiny.

The burgers a tasty and filling. And you get loads of chips. Always full from 1 meal. The only let down is the price its alot of money for fast food

No soy un gran fanático de las hamburguesas y no puedo comer Macdonalds o Burger Kings porque son muy grasosas, pero aquí las hamburguesas son buenas, se fueron con la familia y a los pequeños les encantaron las papas fritas sazonadas, cocinadas en aceite de cacahuete, muy secas y no grasosas. Las hamburguesas eran carnosas y no grasosas, tenían una buena comida. El único inconveniente es que no sirven bebidas calientes.

The fries are cooked in peanut oil so are different in a crispy good way and burgers looked good. I had a hot dog but it was beef and strangely red coloured so l left it. Burgers looked juicy. Kids liked the refillable coke machine

Amazing burgers. Great service. Definitely great place to eat. Easy to park. House made buns and patty. Fantastic hot dogs and chips.

I first tried Five Guys in London a couple of years ago and so was really pleased when they arrived in Leeds. I was not disappointed either as the burgers are fresh tasting, the toppings are varied and plentiful (and not extra cost either - other than for cheese or extra patties). The staff are great - always smiling and welcoming and have never got an order wrong (something I wish I could say about other burger places with golden arches). The chips are handcut, still with skin on and delish! If you like them spicy, go for cajun - my spice-loving hubby loves em! They do not have a freezer in the place so everything is fresh and not frozen and you can see even the chips are cut on the premises as the bags of potatoes are all around the place. There's also free monkey nut peanuts around to nibble at while you are waiting for your order to be cooked fresh - there's no heated shelves for things to sit on for ages. If you are a burger lover, you have to try it!

I have heard a lot of great things about this place from friends and I finally got around to trying it and I'm so disappointed. Effectively this is a more expensive McDonald's and I'm truly astonished that it's got this reputation as an amazing place to get a burger. The beef is of a low quality compared to many other places that I've eaten at and the bun was average. I paid £12 for a burger and chips and I felt ripped off and left with a bad taste in my mouth. The only plus were the fries which were excellent and you get a huge portion. Maybe the other items like hotdogs or milkshakes are excellent but I'm never going to find out because I won't be going into Five Guys ever again. Do yourself a favour and go to McDonald's for the same taste and you'll save £5 in doing so.

Tap water: n/a. Everything else: the burgers here are delicious! The service is really great, and staff really do try to make your visit as nice as possible. Speedy service, great food.

Wow ! If you love a burger this is the place for you .simple . Got to go . A must if you like American burgers.

Our first time in a Five Guys and the service was great, they helped us through the options and we were all very pleased with what we received.

I had just arrived on my very first visit to Leeds. Hungry, I saw this place and it looked so clean and neat I went in. Red and White spotless tiling and staff ensuring no table is left littered for more than a few minutes after the occupants have left. I just fancied some chips. These were so good, had to exercise supreme self control and not go back for a truckload. The farm from which the potatoes have been sourced is advertised and all ingredients are local and fresh. The food may be fast but no corners have been cut to ensure a high quality range of products. Thank you guys. Next time I visit I will head straight to you!

If there is anybody that does a better burger in Leeds I would like to know about it. It's expensive, but if you can't afford it there is a McD's 50 yards away. They tell you the prices before you order!

The little cheese burger at 550 calories tastes delicious and is really filling. Great choice of toppings. The fries are really good too. Really good friendly service too. Fast food isn't really my thing, and this tasted nothing like your typical fast food

Went with 3 friends, never tried the place before but was pleasantly surprised. Had the cheese burger and about 8 toppings. Burgers were good quality, cheese was cheesy, service fast and I even got asked for identification (I am aged 38) when ordering beer, which was nice.

Rare afternoon weekend lunch without the kids so I managed to avoid the usual being dragged to BK and McDs, so I tried 5 Guys which had been recommended. Certainly better than McDs and BK with a good burger (which actually tasted of meat and not the usual cardboard) and decent fries- it was perhaps a trifle pricey but portion size was generous and I think will become my burger chain of choice until Wendy’s returns to the UK

I was pleasantly surprized with this place. Not much of a fan of burgers but the choice of the varied menu got me hooked. A little pricey but well worth it.

I visited with my girlfriend and her parents as it's nice and easy to park at Cardigan Fields. When I received my burger it contained tomatoes I had specifically asked not for. And no jalapeños or bacon which were asked for. The receipt showed my correct order and so did the ticket on the bag but the burger was just wrong. When I raised this I was told to "pull the stuff out" and was chucked a box with some cold bacon and some jalapeños in it. Not the best service... the guy just chucked it at me then walked back off so I ate it and it tasted alright after my DIY work. I recommend you go somewhere with a bit of atmosphere, equal quality for the same price!

My partner and I called for late night food. Staff very friendly and service fast. In my opinion it's the only way to have a burger n fries. At least it tastes real.

came to 5 guys with my friend after watching a movie. the burgers are delicious, the drinks machine has over one hundered different flavours of drinks. but it is expensive.

Thought I'd treat the 2x kids to Hotdogs and milkshakes after being at the trampoline park nearby. Wish I'd not bothered. They serve either beef burgers or beef hotdogs. (I accept that our preference is pork hotdogs so the kids weren't as keen) However, my 'eat any junk possible' kids didn't like the choc milkshakes and asked for water instead. My BLT was made from pre-cooked cold hard ruler shaped streaky bacon, probably that is usually thrown on top of the burgers. Not my idea of a £5 BLT. The fries had a few 'green ones' in there too. But my main gripe is that no where on the menu overhanging the tills did it say that tax was NOT included. So once you place your order you get a 20% charge slapped on the food at the end. (Is this legal, I'm sure you're meant to clearly state it) I understand this is the American way (where tax is less) but I am not in the US and like to know what I am paying upfront.

Burgers with free toppings, perfect fries and just love love love the peanuts. Staff friendly helpful and quick! Has an American feel , clean with loos in the basement. Not cheap but still feel its good value as very enjoyable food!

We visited on Sunday when we walked in lots of uncleared tables. Placed our order for 3 x burgers, 1 x soft drink and 1 x milkshake costing around £36.Food was ready fairly quickly but they forgot our milkshake had to go back for it.To sum up the burgers and fries were delicious but I do think Five Guys in the U.K. Is way too expensive and won't be eating at Five Guys on a regular basis.

As per the title, Five Guys sell the greatest burgers available. On my first visit I remember thinking it was a lot to pay for a burger.....once I had tried one, I would pay double! And try the milkshakes.....please, try the milkshakes! :)

Had a few issues online with orders but the staff inbranch always try to go the extra mile. As a regular customer i do enjoy a good burger. Always found Fabian very helpful and always a has a cheery smile when i visit and he's working.

Absolutely not worth the money. Reasonably good hot dogs and burgers though hideously overpriced. I'm not sure where the money goes: it certainly isn't spent on branding. Stick with IKEA next time I think.

Created the American way- this place is well worth very pound! I love getting a chooclate banana shake and fries (chips) and love the added detail of free peanuts :)

Went having been bowling locally. Have been looking forward to going for some time but the experience didn't live up to the reputation. The food was expensive. Although put together promptly it looked like it too. The burger fell apart in my hands when first picked up. I just felt let down and not just for myself but for my family too. I'm sure the crew that work there are very hard working so I wouldn't want to point the finger at them

So my wife and I decided to finally try the 5 Guys restaurant in Leeds after our kids were saying how wonderful it was.My first impression on seeing the menu was...HOW MUCH??Anyway, after I'd got passed that I ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers, their fries and a drink and milk shake....that'll be £36.95?!?!Wow. Is this the most expensive burger joint ever? Anyway the food didn't take long to arrive and the burgers are lovely. So juicy and moist and the toppings are great. The fries are tasty and still have their skins and are fried in Peanut Oil. All very tasty.Is it worth £36.95 for 2 burgers and fries and a drink and milkshake? I don't think so but try it and see what you think. It just wasn't worth £20 extra than McDonalds.To summarise: lovely food but too pricy for my Yorkshire taste.

After a sad day of revision, myself and some friends chose to go to Five Guys. What a brilliant choice that was! To be fair, we did have to wait around 15 minutes for our burgers to arrive, and they were fairly expensive but the burger itself was 100% worth it. I had the Cajun fries, which was only a regular portion but were absolutely huge. I also had the salted caramel milkshake which was so good I didn't want it to end. I've been craving five guys ever since!

The burgers are good. The fries are good. The surroundings noisey and basic. The wait anything up to 10 mins for a straight forward order. Service is non existent......sounds like a MCDONALDS tastes slightly better might even be slightly better for your health but........£15 quid for burger fries and a drink, eaten out of a paper bag ignore the hype save your money McDonald's is 50m away and has cool touch screens and will bring the food to your table!!!

It's not fancy and you wouldn't have an evening there, but the food is delicious.... McDonald's but with super fresh produce, all cooked on site. Cajun fries are unreal and, with regards to his particular branch, the staff were super friendly.

I was a little sceptical about Five Guys as I always thought it was overpriced because it is fast food. I was wrong. The food is much more expensive than McDonalds or KFC but this is because the food is good quality. You can see the team cooking your burger from scratch which is always reassuring. I love this place!! The chips are also great. I also love how the extras are included in the price of your burger - you pay for the burger and then add extras such as peppers, onions etc for free.

You may think they are expensive but wow they are big and really tasty and healthy too! (I reckon) The small five guys style chips are not what i call small either, they are massive. Good Lunch for a tenner!

Fabulous to have this excellent franchise open in the UK and so close to home. Having discovered Five Guys in Tennessee and Florida we were getting withdrawal symptoms, but no more! Inside decor is exactly the same, menu the same, burgers the same but fatter and smaller, the fries are very different though and not as good as USA so this must be down to the potatoes; only the prices are not the same, working out about £4 dearer for the same meals. Interesting to see you can also add bacon to your milkshake (same as USA) but don't think the idea will catch on, although it could be a taste sensation! Very clean and comfortable with great music. Well done and keep it to this high standard.

And that's what it was! Called Sunday wth my partner and my son. Firstly, and despite us being the only people in there, there was not one clean table. I spoke to a member of staff and there were plenty milling around doing nothing and asked if the tables could be cleaned. She duly did this. Burger ok but very expensive for what they were. Average at best. Drinks machine was sadly lacking and had run out of lots of things. First and last time. McDonalds is cheaper, cleaner and much better value. Would not recommend.

I visited this restaurant today by recommendation but will not be returning. Very expensive...order was incorrect and food wasn't good. Cost over £40 for 2 adults 1 child which was disappointing given the quality of food.

As a fast food joint Five Guys is hard to top - the burgers are always top notch albeit I've always thought the chips were a bit too salty.

Very brightly lit and black and white tiling, it reminds me of a sixties chippy except much larger. The burgers are very good, with several garnishes available for the same price. Not really my kind of place to eat , but the burgers are juicy and made of real ingredients, I wouldn't eat a burger in McD's but these are good. The chips are incredibly salty. Lots of different soda drinks , with free top ups. The American style is a bit forced for my liking and I'm not sure of the relevance of facsimilie restaurant reviews from Georgia or Texas, but when you are out with the youngsters and they want to go there, then Hey. They ain't giving it away either .

Friends took me here for the first time, and have to say was pretty good but can be expensive. £4.85 for a milkshake to me is a little pricey. Overall though some good food!

Needed something quick before going to meet somebody and my wife and I though we'd try it. £24 for two cheeseburgers, one fries, a coke and a bottle of water. What a rip off when another well known chain 100m away sells the equivalent for less than half that. The burgers were greasy and the fries dry, but don't forget the gimmick is you can have as many FREE toppings on your burger, like onions, ketchup or lettuce. Give me a break, over priced and you even pick up your order from the counter after it's bellowed out 10 minutes later. Would I go again, NO, would I recommend, NO.

Fast food con ottimi prodotti. C'è da attendere un po, ma l'attesa viene messa in secondo piano dalle noccioline che ti offrono. Poca scelta di hamburger, ma essenziale. I topping sono il giusto. Mi è sembrato di mangiare un vero panino americano. Top, da provare.

Came here on a strong recommendation. We had a burger, fries and milkshake each and the bill came to £35! For this kind of price one would expect to at least have your food brought to you and not to have to wait in line like you're in Argos or a homeless person queuing at a soup kitchen. The food tasted okay if what you're after is a slightly more ethical McDonald's. A very average burger in a soggy bun. The fries were so salty the seasoning resembled silica gel and we almost dehydrated eating them. If you like this place you have more money than taste buds.

Came hear for lunch with the kids and my brother cost us 72 pounds... was nothing special chips was burnt and really dry burger was tasteless not good value for money I wouldn't visit again kids left most of the food said it was to dry and hard only thing that was decent was the refillable drinks machine went bowling and into arcade for abit kids wanted a Mc Donald's when we got out should of gone there in first place would of saved loads....

My friend always told me about this place. So we went after shopping. Yes it is quite pricey but the burgers they make were actually quite amazing! Defo a place to try if you never have. Staff also very nice.
