First visit but won't be our last ,the welcome was warm and friendly, our dog was allowed in which was perfect for us.Our food was hot and very tasty I will highly recommend this for anyone visiting with their dog

Food very good for the price, staff very friendly, clean and dogs friendly parking across the road .

Initial impressions were good, the cafe was busy and after reading the reviews we decided to give it a go, however eating breakfast here was a big mistake. The sausage is the cheapest on the market, grissly rubbish, it wouldn’t be fit to feed a dog. The bacon had a lot of fat. The whole breakfast was swimming in grease..The coffee is awful. This is a cash only venue, clearly avoiding taxes. If you like cheap poor quality food this is the place to go. Where these excellent reviews have come from is beyond me!

Visted this cafe on Monday29th August 2022, I know it was a bank holiday and the cafe was busy, ordered scampi and chips, other people came in after us and got there food before us, when I asked one of the staff in a polite manner how long our food was going to be I was spoken very rudely to, the manageress came out and said that ours was in the fryer and shouldn't be to long,the reason given was that there needed to heat up the fryers, for our food, I told the mangeress that we had been there for nearly an hour, she apoligesed for the wait, I said I think the member of staff who spoke to me in a rude manner I thought she should apoligse, no apolgy given, we were given another pot of tea to compensate. People had been getting breakfasts, roast dinners. If there's a long wait customers should be informed.

The best cafe in Brid. Love the food. All freshly cooked at time of ordering. The staff are so friendly and happy. We have been going for a, few years now and it is wonderful place to go. We always recommend it. And is dog friendly as well.

This cafe is the best Iv ever been to,the food is unbelievable and so are the staff and the owner Suzie she goes out of her way to provide the best service…. I’m a returning customer for several years now HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

First visited Suzies last year, couldn't decide where to eat until we stumbled on this little gem, it looked really busy so that's always good to go on. We weren't disappointed, lovely friendly welcome. Homemade quiche, WOW it was delicious, generous portions and very good value for money. We decided to return on our recent five day holiday to Brid. Homemade mince and onion pie 😍 was gorgeous. We also tried a cooked breakfast, just excellent, great portions and not swimming in grease. Tried many cafes in Brid but Suzies has just got it right. Wonderful homemade food at great prices and staff serve it with a smile, it shows they really appreciate your custom. Looking forward to returning.

My husband and myself visited here again this weekend. Suzie who owns it is a lovely lady and a brilliant cook. The staff are all really friendly. We booked a table as it USA really busy cafe. The food was delicious as always. The prices are really good value. We will be back again in a few weeks. See you soon.

All in all I would say it’s a 10/10 job suzie is a great cook and an all round good person to talk too, the waitresses are unbelievably good at their job, I would recommend coming to the cafe, I will be visiting again soon

Simple cafe, good service, excellent food, open for breakfast and lunch only. Busy little cafe, with obviously plenty of regulars eating when we did, which is always a good sign.

Had breakfast here which was clean, well presented and excellent value. The staff were on the ball as far as COVID safety was concerned and they were very nice. The service was quick, the food lovely, and would recommend.

I'd suggest that any recent reviews about rude or brusque service are from people who didn't bother to read the notices before entering the cafe, or had gone to Brid to 'get away from this nonsense' (in general we saw plenty behaving as though this is all over) These lovely ladies are taking things seriously, and good on them for it. This was the only place our temperature was taken, and the only one that it was clearly being recorded for Track and Trace WHEN we were in the building. If I'm eating breakfast, I don't want to be at risk of getting a call to self-isolate because a lunchtime customer has tested postive!Onto the food, good choice of breakfast sizes and options, cooked perfectly and served quickly. Prices great too. If we'd have been stopping any longer, we'd have been back. Will be the first place we head for breakfast the next time we visit Brid.

Simple the best outstanding staff and ones made to feel so welcome took our temperature and got us to sanitise our hands not an issue keeping everyone safe we like that the breakfast was amazing thank you 🌠🌠🌠🌠

Visted today and was served by a very unpleasant staff member, who lacked basic manners. I can quite honestly say I have never been served by such an ignorant and rude staff member. She put the whole party on edge and made up feel belittled!However I must say the food was absolutely fantastic, great quality and great value for money. Hence the disappointment that the service wasn't up to the same standard.

My partner and I use 5&2 every time we visit Bridlington, sometimes the only reason for visiting Bridlington. The food is filling, and always perfectly cooked. We have big appetites, so usually go for the large breakfasts (the other half gets the super whopper) and we don’t need to eat for the next two days! We think they’re the best breakfasts to be found as they’re not greasy, come in good portion sizes, and the staff are really friendly. Heartily recommend

We were greeted with a friendly smile and had explained to us their Covid conditions, which were handled wonderfully.There was 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children who arrived on a Monday lunchtime when it was tipping it down with rain.We were greeted with friendliness and warmth. Drinks came quickly, our lunch choices were freshly cooked and arrived piping hot! Such amazing value for money! Despite the weather, we enjoyed our half day in Bridlington, and the highlight was coming into this cafe for lunch. Me and my husband visit Bridlington quiet often and always go to the Five two cafe. We went again on Sunday 2nd August and the first thing we noticed was the changes that had been made. At the door there was a lady taking your temperature and hand sanitiser had to be used before being allocated a table. We had to fill out a track and trace and our table and menu was cleaned before hand. The food here is always delicious and the portions are very very big and the cheapest anywhere in Bridlington. The lady who owns it is Sue and very friendly lady. So if your ever in Bridlington I recommend you visit here, you won’t be disappointed.

We go here every now and then as a treat and one of the best cafes in brid! Really cheap food and decent quality, you definitely get alot for your money, service is always really good aswell. Highly remmomend

When here cuz the place we normally go was closed thank god it was as we when here for dinner and boy was the food good and you get lots. They even do real chips made fresh not the chip frozen chips you normally get. This place is well worth a visit

After a long walk from north beach on Sunday we popped in for lunch. Our little dog was welcomed and the 4 of us had a great meal with fabulous customer service and lovely staff. Very good value for money and a large plate of tasty food for all of us!

There are many breakfast places in Brid and we’ve tried many of them over the years from the downright overpriced poor to Suzy 5 and 2, one of the best. Large portions with good quality ingredients, well cooked. Great value for money including ingredients others charge extra for. Small and cosy, so don’t be surprised in high season that you may have to wait !

My wife and I called in there recently nice clean cafe, friendly staff and always someone in there, we had a whopper breakfast each with tea, and it was very nice and plenty on the plate, my only concern was I am not keen on ash browns or fried bread you get 2 ash browns 1 slice of fried bread and 1 toast next time will just ask for toast

Cant believe the last review we go in often & it's all home cooked lovely food fresh & good quality & very reasonable priced. It is a very busy working cafe & never waited an hr for food.

Waited nearly an hour for three toasted sandwiches and a beef sandwich. Beef sandwich was on dry old bread when the chef came out of the kitchen in his dirty trainers and chef's trousers didn't feel hungry anyway.

Been there a couple of times they do a really good breakfast there. The new owners are very friendly the place is immaculately clean and is well suported by locals which speaks volumes for the place.

Had breakfast here as it opens quite early (8am). Ordered the big breakfast which was very good value for around £5 two of all the usual items all cooked well and tasty. Slightly disappointed that sausages were your basic catering type but happy with them at the price. Popular with the locals as well always a good sign. Staff pleasant and efficient. A good experience.

Such a friendly welcome. Nothing too much trouble . Good choice of menu , even for Vegetarians/Vegans. Food was very quick to be served and was so tasty. Proper food at very reasonable prices . Can't wait to revisit with our dog who apparently will also be made welcome.

We visited here for breakfast on the last Bank Holiday Monday. We ordered scrambled egg on toast and a full english breakfast. The place was beautiful and clean and the food was hot and plentiful. We are still talking about this breakfast and cannot wait to go back, cannot recommend highly enough.

The cafe is spotless serving nothing but the best on all choices of food, plenty of drinks on the menu, the staff are friendly and helpful, One young Lady goes out of her way to make your visit one to remember, having a chat and laugh with you. The cafe is open 364 days a Year so no excuse for not paying them a visit.

It has been a while since our last visit but we visited this cafe again twice this week once for a bacon buttie and once for the Whopper breakfast. On both occasions we were not let down. Friendly staff serving quality food at a very reasonable price. Again one of the best cooked breakfasts I have had even when the cafe was very busy. Will be back when in the area again.

We are are lucky enough to own a chalet near here, found it by chance and will not got go anywhere else now, the young girl who takes the orders is so so friendly a credit to the cafe. They do Sunday lunch so I will be checking it out very soon, I have to say the other lady and gent who work or own it ( not sure ) are really nice as well.

This is a little gem. The food is absolutely delicious and portion size is really good. My husband had the whopper breakfast which cost £4.95 and was superb ,not swimming is grease like lots of cafes do. I had braising steak which melted in my mouth!!

went for breakfast as our last day as on way home we went because it was busy daughter had small breaky I had medium breaky hubby had super whopper the small would of done me couldn't eat it all hot tasty not greasy had to wait a bit but well worth the wait staff lovely

Absolutely lovely food, just a shame we found it late in our visit. The menu said that there maybe a delay as the food is cooked fresh but after tasting these lovely meals you dont mind the extra wait. After having a nice meal we bought the family back to have breakfast and it was just as good. Thank you Suzie, will definitely visit again when we return to Bridlington.

Called in here today for lunch what a lovely place staff are really friendly food is amazing I was shocked that the price was really cheap. My partner had liver and onions with mash and peas I had large Yorkshire pudding with sausage,homemade chips and gravy for afters we both had the homemade bake well tart it was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

This is the best place cafe in Brid. You get great home cooked food, amazing home made cakes and warm, friendly, family felt service. Your missing out if you don’t pay this cafe a visit. We love this cafe and you will too.

Walked in just after opening. All food is cooked fresh so while it might seem to tale a while it is well worth the wait. Would highly recommend this place for good food, plenty of it and very reasonably priced

Nice and hot breakfast even though the wait seemed a little too long it was freshly done and the fried egg was perfect. The only thing to let it down, and this applies to other breakfast places in the town, is the very poor quality of the sausages.

We both had a "Whopper Breakfast" having black pudding instead of hash browns, cooked very well, and hot, Welcoming and in obtrusive. It filled us up for the day and only £11.65 for both of us

Quick re review as previously I stated coffee not that good but I didn’t realise they do the cafeterias (is that spelt correctly!) lovely coffee for one or two. Food STILL great best jacket potatoes and omelettes to die for! Suzie and the team very accommodating x

Visited the cafe this morning for breakfast. Can not get over the value this cafe offers. We each had a whopper breakfast and a pot of tea £5.65. Food was all fresh and served to our table promptly. Sausages,bacon, eggs,beans,tomatoes, mushrooms,fried bread and toast. The 3 members of staff we come across were all lovely and friendly. It is cash only but that wasn’t a problem for us. I think it will definitely become a regular visit for us when we come up north and worth the short trip from Filey. Little gem, I wish our locals were as good value as this.

Passed here one day and returned at weekend after reading enticing billboard for breakfasts. Slightly disappointed with food - not as expected from advert in window but reasonably edible. Sat at too-small table near counter - constantly jostled by staff and people coming in to gossip with staff - not good. Bit put off by very large family who sat with feet on seats, upending ketchup bottles all over their food and mashing it into floor and chairs - grim! Service very slow too, plus, cash only - no cards - had to copper-up - very inconvenient and embarrassing!

We visited here prior to Xmas as usual cafe closed. Glad we did as the food was very good. Small breakfast and omelette lovely. Took the kids back for lunch Wednesday

I popped in here in passing to get a take-away coffee and I got the impression that they were a little put out by the idea of doing a takeaway coffee.

We just had tea here as it was a well located spot we noticed as we walked around the town. It is not far from the harbour.

Great "Whopper" breakfast served piping hot. Very enjoyable and a perfect meal for brunch. The bacon roll was also good and a good strong pot of tea. This establishment appeared to be well used by those local to the town. Recommended. This was one of the best cooked breakfasts that I have had.

Stayed in Bridlington Couple Days self catering .And this was my idea of self catering .Set us up for the day with a Good Old Full English Breakfast .Warm welcoming greeting .And good regular local customers (nice bit of banter)

The Five and Two Cafe is an exceptional place for a meal or coffee. It is located close to the waterfront. They have an extensive menu with loads of selections for vegetarians.

Me and my fiancé visited on Tuesday 24th October for breakfast having been recommended by my parents. We were immediately greeted by the friendly owner and her staff and took a window seat. The food was outstanding and an absolute bargain. All this coupled with first class service, best breakfast I've ever had. Will definitely visit again.
