Fishtastic in Peterborough

Surly member of staff. Placed the order to pick up told 20 mins. Went in after 15mins and food was wrapped up (I said I would put S/V on myself. Got back to car and food Luke warm at best. I have been coking here for years, and I am known there. This however WAS my last visit. Shame as food and staff usually spot on but the attitude today and couldn't care less demeanour....not for me sorry.

I ordered regular chips and plain large sausage which should have cost me £4.70 but the server took £7.20 off my card , I only noticed when I got home and the receipt said £4.70 , I will not be going there again as it seems the staff are helping themselves to extra money…. Avoid this chippy

Terrible customer service . Ordered to colect but was shut before I got there...Still charged rude person on the phone saying its my problem....swaful...avoid at all costs

Each month I wait for the gluten free day to come round due to my allergies. I wish it was available every day because it is absolutely delicious. The batter on the fish is lovely and the best I have ever tried. Thank you fishtastic 😍

ordered fish and chips and got an environmental conscience packaging, tools and great fish and chips. really impressed. taking fish and chips to a different level.

The grandchildren enjoyed sausage and chips, quickly served and tasty. There is nowhere to sit, definitely a take away.

We ordered online our Fish and Chips for Christmas Eve. As this was the first time we also received discount! We rang to see if they could prepare our order any earlier and they were more than happy to The fish was fresh, crispy and hot and the chips were delicious The service was great

Probably the best fish and chips we have had away from the coast. The cod was delicious and the batter was just the right amount and certainly not greasy. The chips were perfect "chip shop" chips.

Whenever I have visited this shop I have eaten various sizes of cod chips sausage in batter. Always enjoy the food, customer service is efficient and friendly, we will continue to return

Had a SFC fillet burger, chips and coleslaw for tea and it was lush can’t wait to have it again! Find the staff great.

Fishtastic is our local chip shop, so convenient for us but I’d be willing to travel for it as they do so much more than just fish and chips. There’s always something on the menu for everyone. So much of what they offer is homemade and tastes so much better for it, from the coleslaw with their new SFC burger to the tartare sauce with their fish. They offer healthy options too, such as Mediterranean chicken with salad and grilled fish. We’ve always been pleased with our food from there. Everything’s always tasty, fresh and hot and we would definitely recommend it.

After recently moving to the area, it's taken a few disasters to stumble across this little gem! Excellent fish and chips that never fail to provide on taste and texture. We've also dined from here on gluten free night, having never tried gluten free before we were a bit sceptical it wouldn't be the same standard but it actually surpassed on texture and flavour of batter. We've found our new fish n chip supper :)

fast service and a clean looking fish and chip shop... guess that is all you need to know! The fish was tasty and the chips were good.

Fish was okay but we ordered a leg of chicken, first it was deep fried which had been previously cooked then Zapped in the Microwave, we got hole and couldn't even cut it. would have taken it back was carpark was busy for Morrisons so didn't bother, Never been back.

Although they do a gluten free day one a month not keen that they use Palm Oil to cook in, gives food a weird after taste. Only eaten from there on two occasions, the first time not too impressed so gave it another chance but still not that impressed, sausage in batter not very palatable.

Used this fish and chip shop for family meal to take out. All portions cooked when ordered so we're fresh and batter crispy. Not too busy when we attended which was five thirty on a Friday evening. Waited about 20 minutes for order and when eaten was very tasty.

This is our local and usually go often bit haven't been in a few months. Both me and my husband ordered the cheeseburger and neither of us could eat it due to hard pieces in the meat which put us off. Really disappointing as the food is usually good.

I visit this chippy around once a fortnight, probably the best in Peterborough. High quality well portioned food. Very clean all cooked for you so very fresh. Happy to wait 5 minutes. Keep up the good work.

I usually visit the Woodston branch and enjoy the fish and chips served there. So when visiting Morrisons I spotted a branch of Fishtastic, so my dinner was decided. Fish and chips were well prepared and tasty, excellent service and food.

Siempre pienso detenidamente antes de publicar un informe pobre porque no quiero afectar a cualquier pequeña empresa injustamente. En esta ocasión tengo que decir que es justificado. El pescado era fresco y bien preparado, pero las patatas fritas eran suaves, pasada y fría - claramente habían sido tumbados por un largo tiempo. Igualmente los guisantes eran frías y más de un puré de guisantes y el curry estaba frío y como las medusas. . . . . . . . . . . No es agradable a un precio y sin duda mejores para pescado y patatas fritas. Yo le evita este lugar en el futuro

Mi media naranja y yo hemos estado aquí cuatro veces y cada vez es mejor. Los mejores patatas chips, utilizados para la buena maltratada cod. A los niños les encanta su incluso nuestra pechuga de pollo, salchichas y picaduras de pollo hamburguesas. La comida siempre es limpia y nunca grasienta. Es una clase sólo de arriba. Probar la salsa tártara casera. Sigan con el buen trabajo chicos

Brilliant food. Great chatty staff. Convenient and quick. Can't get much better than that! Avoid the apple cart like the plague and go here instead!

Nuestro local "fish and chips", es el único lugar que vamos para pescado y patatas fritas, la comida siempre caliente y sabroso como es cocinado.

Consistently good fish & chips, plenty of choice on the menu and food serve in boxes which is brilliant ( no more squashed fish and chips rolled up in paper ) Highly recommended.

We use this chippy all the time. Never had a problem before. However this time it was substandard. Chips were dry, pie was like it had been kept warm for hours, saying that the fish was very nice hence 3 stars and not any lower.

Have used Fishtastic several times now and it's always been excellent,freshly cooked while you wait and nothing is too much trouble for them.One of the best in the area.The staff are friendly,helpful and very polite.We won't go anywhere.Highly recommend them.

A member of the family recently moved to Cardea and we popped in here one evening for a 'takeaway' We had medium cod & chips and it was excellent. So often, the chips are squashed and greasy. Not here. They were lovely and the cod was lovely too! We would definitely call again. Just a pity it isn't in my neighbourhood!

Having just moved, we like to find our various takeaways quickly. This 'Chippy' surpassed our expectations and we will not venture elsewhere!The Fish and Chips were lovely; no grease, great generous portions all well cooked to order. Phone them or watch while they cook it fresh superb, thanks.

The food is amazing here, the fish is fresh and the chips are lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming, I miss working next door. Lol.

The only chippy in peterborough where the chips are not greasy, the fish is the same, well worth a visit.

Popped on on Friday after work for a quick chippy tea, the staff were really friendly and even though there was a queue I was acknowledged straight away. Once served the food was quick to be ready and wow did it taste good! Would definitely recommend!

I only use this shop for fish and chips. My opinion it is the best in Peterborough. Always get a warm welcome when I walk in. The food is always cooked to perfection. Great taste and great staff

After a long day I called ahead for them to fry me some fish for collection at 19:30 after being up since 4am working and even though I gave 30 minutes notice and confirmation it would be ready I get there and its not, they simply forgot. I did at least get a family amount of fish and chips once if not twice a week either through myself or missus but now I wont bother. Sorry if you cant do a simple thing like this and then shrug your shoulders as if you are not bothered I will go elsewhere and spend my £30-40 a week.

Award winning Fish & Chips. Lovely fresh food all the time, staff are very welcoming and polite. Best Chippy in Peterborough. Have a second branch in Cardea. They also have a food rating of 5 stars.

I have just been to Fishtastic to buy dinner and was severely let down. I've been to a few fish and chip shops in my time but have never been told that I couldn't have a saveloy as they only cook one batch a day! Not only that but when ordering a pie and chips I was told that my pie would have to be microwaved. Bearing in mind that this was 1830 in the evening I was a little surprised at the lack of preparation.Sadly when I got my dinner home it disappointed the whole family enormously. Sad looking anaemic chips, poorly cooked batter, a pie that was little more than soggy pastry and a curry sauce that was watery and tasteless. If I were the manager I would be looking at long and hard at improving the business before people stop coming back. Please get back to how you used to be.
