Chips are nice but 1 small scoupe of chips for 2.60 is disgusting absolute rip off less then macdonalds small chips I didnt wanna say nothing won't be returning unbelievable

We had ours delivered it was delivered by a lovely pleasant man the chips were pale and dry, we've had fish and chips from here for many years and the fish was awful i didn't eat anything,

Overall I have given the place 5 stars. After watching how hard the staff work, the attitudes and behaviors of customers I can see and understand why staff are apprehensive to fully engage with people. I have provided critique for the food and customer service previously but to be fair that was then. This was another day and my visit, based on the here and now was exceptional. By comparison to the other chippies I have visited around the local area, Fryz does not have anything to worry about. That said, I would like to see them reach the heights some of the chippies I have been to in the last year.

I Don't understand how we live in bretton about 5 minutes away , but waiting 2 hours for a delivery.

Food always cold chips cold pies cold mot impressed at all have been here quite a lot and keep thinking it will change but still the same they get your orders wrong aswell not impressed won't be visiting again.

The fish and chips were really good, especially the fish. Batter was perfect and fish was lovely thick and flaky. The service was also excellent. The young lady who served me got straight on the order. Keep up the great quality food and service. Well done to you all

Best Fish & Chips I've had all year - highly recommend it if you're in the area!

I had to wait an hour and a half for the food . I ordered onion rings, chips, sausage in batter and a bread roll. The chips and onion rings were cold and the sausage in batter was Luke warm It would appear that the food was prepared and waiting for an assigned driver. Very disappointed and will not use again

We have used this Fish chip place many times always hot delivered on time . But tonight it was just warm , fish batter not good very dry , usually fish is brilliant . A boy delivered it on a bike arrived late . Was not impressed what a shame normally brilliant

Had Cod and chips from Fryz last night. The cod was flaky and not overcooked and the chips just enough as a small portion for me, again the chips were great.

Haven't been in, but they catered the 'Flying Codman' event at Nene Valley Railway, and it was honestly the best fish and chips I've ever had. Chips were perfectly cooked and had great flavour, and the fish was simply amazing. I'm normally not a fan of chip shop fish as it can often be dry/flavourless, but the fish here was beautiful. Same with chips I often find myself drowning them in vinegar, but these barely even needed salt. I will be recommending to all my friends and family in Peterborough.

How you can tell a good chippy from a bad one? 1. You don't smell the oil and cooking from the door. 2. Staff welcome you with a smile and wear uniforms. ( if they serve you in a T-Shirt, they really don't care what you get). 3. Prices are not written in pen or crossed out/ labelled over). 4. Clean. You can tell as you first step in. 5. If you get a takeaway and your chips are stuck together or oily, the oil is old. You can smell the taste of old oil. 6. Overkill on chips. If you get enough chips for 3 people, they are covering their mistakes. Had the unfortunate experience of a really bad chippy in Peterborough. ( should I mention it?). Came across this one, and you can tell they really care. Nice light lunch and great staff. Wrapped nicely with the receipt. Thanks! Faults? Just put Saveloys on the menu😁

Food is always delicious & I could drink a pint of the curry sauce it's that good. My only criticism is I'm finding the portion size for chips has shrunk lately.

We have large cod and chips almost every week and the fish is always delicious. The single large portion of chips feeds both of us. We pre-order online and the food is always ready on time. The parking is easy and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Thanks Rob, Caz and your team.

Stingiest portion of chips ever 2 rolls and a portion of chips £4 Not worth the money .other much better chip shops in peterborough,that know what a portion of chips should look like .

Food was hot however we asked for extra salt and vinegar but my dad had none at all and mine was minimal.

literally the worst buger iv ever eaten dripping in grease and the meat was mush if it was even real meat ,advertised as a 8oz for £4.50p but wasnt even even 3oz nasty,,chips were nice but the smallest portion iv ever seen

You have to try this place.. especially to experience all it has to offer.. Fish cooked on the griddle is great if you are watching your figure... You would never eat a MacDonalds Burger again when you have had a burger from Fryz.

Cold food despite punctual delivery. The cheese on the chips was not melted, so the chips were not hot before they were sent out. Also, the haddock was not fresh, I have never had an issue before, I have given 5 stars and voted for Fryz in the national awards. I am wondering if there has been a change of owner. Because I highly recommend them if people ask or discuss fish and chips. Very disappointed.

Popped in before a show at the Cresset and was very impressed. They had vegan fried chicken and chips. It was clean, quick service and friendly staff. They have a few window seats in you want to eat in and a sauce station.

Didn't have to wait more then a few mins, the cod was crisp and very tasty, no taste of any oil afterwards, the chips were nice and tasty just as a chip should be, with the salt and vinegar on top and a slice of lemon 🍋 just to give you that just right taste perfect meal anytime day or night, I will be going again and I recommend that you try this place for a perfect meal.

absolutley awful my dad came to pick up fish & chips for the family curry sauce looks like something from the supermarket no salt & vinegar on any of the chips even tho it was requested really disappointing considering the food is normlly good.

Somos españoles y no solemos consumir este tipo de comida. Sin embargo, cuando nos apetece fish and chips, siempre acudimos a Fryz. Normalmente programamos el pedido para una hora determinada, y se nota que siempre preparan nuestro pedido pocos minutos antes de la entrega, ya que siempre está caliente y recién hecho. I think the prices are ridiculous especially on just eat where we order food that comes up to £7 and we pay £12 includelivery it’s an absolute bump

Ordered via Just Eat whilst staying in the city on a busy Saturday night. Particularly liked the way the menu clearly featured all of the vegetarian options, sadly not all places do this. Food was delicious, delivered on time, good to be able to track the delivery via the app. Highly recommended.

Just bought some food from Fryz at bretton cannot fault it one bit great service friendly staff the food was amazing I had jumbo battered sausage chips and curry sauce I can honestly say this was one of the tastiest curry sauces from a chip shop I have ever tasted don't change what you are doing because you've nailed it peeps!!!

Friendly staff and quality food.

Will travel to Bretton even though I live in Orton goldhay as they have the best cooked food from a chippy. My hubby always has deep fried haggis with chips and is the only place I know in Peterborough that does it. I prefer a pensioners size meal as you get a regular sized piece of fish with a smaller portion of chips. Certainly worth the drive and the food is alway worth the trouble plus a good price too.

I recently went in for chips as I was hungry, but my eyes fell upon the fish. It looked luscious and so I ordered the fish and chips (regular potion cod and chips) and a potion of scraps. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and polite. It was very clean and well organised. It was wonderful for the price and well worth the visit. I took my friend in there and the service and food was excellent. I can HIGHLY recommend Fryz. Polite staff, uniforms were very clean and within the health and safety laws, covd19 safeguards are in place, very clean shop and fish was crispy and delicious as was the chips. 10/10.

Had dinner from there last night (3years ago) tonight 19.45 ish , lettuce in my chicken burger was so limp it was dead and tasted disgusting.

Popped in for a quick chippy lunch, absolutely lovely food and service, proper chip chips like how they are supposed to be! nice spot to watch the world go by too! Highly recommended

Perfect fish and chips food it hot and fresh

Go inside, order and pay, you get an electronic device, you then wait outside and when the device peeps you go inside and collect your order. Last time I went there fish and chips twice took 25 minutes. Otherwise small fish and little chips about the size of a finger nail at top price. Not recommended.

Food is amazing, fresh fish and chips, the staff were all so helpful especially when I dropped a hot coffee all over the floor and my wrist they couldn’t of been more caring, defo recommend

Ordered on just eat delivered to wrong house drove over to them to explain what's happened and they where so apologetic and explained they don't have any control over just eat drivers and redid my order free of charge now I have happy kids thank u to all the staff at fryz.

Quality v good. Portions maybe over generous. Senior citizens meals in particular are very sizeable. Too much on occasions even for someone of a younger age group such as myself.

Spotlessly clean restaurant with friendly service and excellent quality chips, not last night’s leftovers re-fried. Sit in at their shiny chrome bench tables and enjoy food served in mini fish frying baskets and paper. Very environmentally friendly

Excellent fish and chips. Ordered online and even though the order wasn't ready when I arrived the staff were helpful and let me know what they were doing and waiting on. The extra wait was not a problem as this meant the cod was cooked there and then. The chips were perfectly cooked. Great service and reasonable price.

Placed an order today for 2x chips 1 large fish and 1 jumbo battered sausage how simple is this order? We received 2x chips great, fish was small and jumbo shrunk to a tiny sausage! AND BLOODY EXPENSIVE!

Great fish & chips - not at all greasy or soggy. Lovely friendly staff with a fast and efficient service. On line pre- order system is great and works well. Cod and haddock can also be grilled rather than battered which is a great offering and rarely done by other fish & chip shops Highly recommended. Would recommend Deliveroo etc drivers collect from a different section to the public as they have habit of pushing people out of the way (I've found) in order to collect their deliveries more quickly

I was just browsing google maps and remembered this place.In 2017 I was simple immigrant from Lithuania, who was working in food factory, and one day after work I decided to try some traditional british food, and this restaurant was closest to my place, so I went there and ordered fish and chips, the result was impressive, I thought what could be so special about something simple as cooked fish, well it was very well made, good price, and of course delicious, after that I came back to this place a dozen of times. It's very nice to remember that food.

Good size portions although a little pricey

We was missing a portion of chips so I called in and spoke to a lovely lady who apologised and was very helpful. The food was amazing and we will be ordering again.

A wonderful experience. Clean premises, pleasant attentive staff, fish cooked to order and didn't have to wait too long. The fish was excellently battered complimented with a wonderful portion of chips with just the right amount of salt &vinegar and a piece of lemon. Made my New Years Eve. I avoid other chippies.

Fryz. What a find. A diamond gem of a fish and chip shop in the not overly salubrious surroundings of the Bretton Centre. During this current period of unpleasantness, where even ordering fish and chips is an experience suspended from normality, the staff in the shop were all upbeat, eager to help and happy to engage in a laugh. I ordered haddock and chips, which I was going to return for after 10 minutes or so. As we general public are not allowed to handle the condiments at the moment I asked for plenty of salt and vinegar; more, I said, than you would think any normal human being could tolerate. I always ask for this and rarely get enough to cover a single chip but this time, what a joy. Got the meal back to my car, opened the exceedingly well wrapped package and the most delightful smell of fish, chips, salt and vinegar greeted me. No chip was left unsalted, no lack of vinegar anywhere. The haddock was cooked to perfection with a superb batter and the chips were perfect in their size, consistency, texture etc etc. I can't praise this place highly enough and if I ever find myself waiting in Bretton for any reason again, I'm heading straight to Fryz. I suggest you do to. Give yourself a treat in more ways than one.
