Amazing customer service. An item was forgetting and before I even got a chance to say anything they called me apologetic and sent me a refund. Overall the food is amazing definitely recommended

As good as the chippies in Scitland!

I strongly recommend this fish bar,the cod and chips I had were absolutely delicious, could not possibly fault it. Although I would prefer if we had the option to add condiments ourselves. Also, the restaurant itself is clean, modern and clearly well look after, very reasonable prices, I would suggest to a 2+ customers look at the family menu. Thank you Golden Fish Bar for the excellent dinner, see you soon.

Unfortunately delivery driver could not find my address. After phoning the fish bar, they kindly cooked and resent my order. Food was if a little cold by time I received (not really surprising as they were further away than I thought) was good and plentiful

The food is really good and the customer service is excellent. The staff always seem happy, polite, and very helpful.

Usually on point, made the mistake of being the first customer on a weekend and got half cooked chips! Wait until they fully up and running to avoid disappointment

I went for my dad, who is an inveterate lover of the national dish, and who has become dissatisfied with his regular chippie. He thought the pricing, £6.50 for a regular cod + £4 for chips was a touch steep, but found the batter crisp and not soggy, the flesh succulent, and the chips also crisp. Will go again

Fish alone was crispy tasty and well worth the money. Chips nice fluffy chip shop chips.. not undercooked. Everything I ordered was next to perfect. Owner was a respectful, kind man with great pride in his shop. The shop alone you could tell it has been looked after with great investment. Very clear 5* hygiene standards. Best chippy in Peterborough in my opinion. Fully recommend. I will most definitely be returning.

Last time i ordered from this place food was fresh piping hot i do like my chips so do prefer a nice portion plenty of vinegar and salt on the fish and chips cant complain

i am a regular customer here and it is always lovely but today they somehow managed to mess up a margarita pizza. the cheese has fallen off the pizza and the tomato sauce tastes like curry. very bizarre

Ordered through just eat. Ordered a large chips , chicken strips, mushy peas and a Fanta. The large chips came half filled 3/4 at best. The chicken strips where from Iceland and the whole thing came to a staggering £22.69. Save your money and don’t ordered from these.

Thanks to Harry for amazing service, we’re not local but chose it because it was near to where we are visiting. Gave a massive order and all cooked fresh in good time, even gave us a couple of drinks while we were waiting. Food was delicious too.

Friendly staff who remember you and follow up previous chats that you have had. Busy and will cook your food and inform you when it will be ready.

Took over an hour to arrive, and then me and my friends felt very ill after eating. It was delay after delay, restaurant said there was a road closed which is BS!

having problems with just eat drivers tonight so he got ahold of me to say it had been sat on the side for 25 minutes so he would remake it and get a driver for me. best customer service i’ve ever had, especially as someone working in fast food i know there’s not a lot he can do from his end in regards to just eat. thank you so much man

Ordered fish and chips, couldn't finish the fish because of how greasy and hard the batter was. Pretty sure it gave me food poisoning as felt ill for 2 days after, unable to stomach anything. All of us who ate it had the same reaction. Will not be ordering again. Very disappointed.

Ordered food via food hub at 8:40pm and after calling at 10:06pm having received nothing, I was told it would arrive in the next 15mins, when it didn’t I called again at 10:30pm and again at 10:56pm but no answer. Food hub apparently spoke to the manager who lied and said the delivery driver had been knocking at our door and we didn’t answer, when he finally arrived at 11pm he admitted this was a lie and we sent him away as it was too late to eat. Despite calling twice to cancel the order, they won’t give a refund because we didn’t tell them to cancel the order… So apparently you’re expected to pay for food that take over 2 hours to arrive… that you didn’t eat… and that you didn’t cancel (despite calling and being ignored) food hub have been no help at all. Appalling customer service. Won’t be ordering from here again!

Im in hospital so ordered from golden fish bar today for me and some elderly gentlemen in here they delivered it hot fresh and tasty to the hospital i tried other chippys they said no so thank you for ur fast friendly service and good tasty food

First time ive ordered from here and the fish is so moist and the customer service is spot on im afraid of eating meat for reasons im not disclosing and the man on the phone was reassuring and patient bless him defo be going back bits for everyone on the menu

Bad beer, manager refused to change for another drink. 25 mins waiting after ordering drinks. I would not go to the College if they paid me.

the fish and chips in this place is 9.9 out of 10 - 9 out of 10 on a bad day. however they have a new menu item- the BURGER PIZZA - absolutely amazing and value for money. great treat for all. I have been so impressed with this family outlet and you can see they care about their customers. quick delivery, parking. great place.

Just seen an employee of this fish bar in the local co- op. Not wearing a face mask and ignoring no entry signs. Not a good advert for indicating Covid responsibilities. Won’t be using them anytime soon

Every good food quality delivery

The fish was really really good. 👌 They cooked it fresh for us so we had to wait a little bit before it was ready but it was 100% worth the wait. Getting it cooked fresh makes a difference for sure. Also, the chips were perfectly done as well, nice and thick and not oily or soggy. We bought a large portion of chips to share between two and it was almost too much, so their portions are pretty generous as my husband and I are big eaters. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this fish and chip shop!

Today I bought chicken and chips the chicken was discussed not for eating chicken it was blurry dry not cooked probably like someone make southern fried chicken for the first time of his life so the tase is not nice .so it’s waste of money I am very disappointed today . 👎🏻👎🏻

Kebabs, burgers and other. Not a traditional fish snd chip shop but best I've had yet in Peterborough and south of Peterborough.

1 star is too much. ABSOLUTE JOKE. Order was placed at roughly 7pm.. they are 9 minutes away from our home address quarter past 9 still no food. After calling several times to be told ‘he’s just round the corner’ finally we were told the driver did not want to come to our door now so they preferred to give us a refund ... over 2 hours wasted only to receive the worst customer service.. rather poo in my hands and clap than deal with them again to be honest. And to make matters worse, trying to register a complaint and claim a re-fund through just eat is like trying to get blood out of a stone.. all automated bots, no people with no brains, much the same as the chip shop.

Nothing Special fish was not cooked properly,

I ordered a takeaway yesterday to be delivered at 1930. It still hadn’t arrived at 2030 and it said on just eat it had been delivered. I rang the shop and they said that the delivery driver had knocked on my door multiple times and no one answered so they left and went back to the shop. There were 4 people who could confirm that no one knocked. Also my dog would have barked like crazy, and she didn’t. The man I spoke to said that it is their policy if the food goes back to the shop and the customer rings back, they send out the food that was originally sent out. They sent the same food out again which had been sat around for an hour. 2 hours by the time it got to me. It was revolting. Stone cold and soggy from being sat in the grease for so long. Great way to run a business, happily sending out food to customers that was cooked several hours ago. Surely that is a serious food hygiene issue. Would not recommend.

My first time here few weeks ago,Had kebab meat and chips. Lad was really polite and the kebab meat and chilli sauce was bloody lovely,Chips were perfect too. Will stop using my regular chip shop and come here in future. Good work guys.

Ordered fish & chips for the family,7 fish & chips. Waited 10mins and all was cooked to perfection. Service was very good despite the shop being very busy i had great experience.

The fish was nice and evenly marinated and fried the chips were nice and crispy the shop had 5 star hygiene

A well designed shop with great staff. Been here few times with my mrs. They have a big variety of menu with good meal deals for 2! Me and mrs always get the mixed kebab meals! Highly recommended

Fantastic Staff and lovely food.

The food is what you’d expect. The wait can at times be unbearably long. For example over my last 3 visits I’ve had to wait anywhere between 15 to 45 minutes for a large fish and chips. It’s a clean neat little place. But just be weary of a potential wait.

I still rate this place as the best place if you want a chicken kebab!

The food was disgusting!! AVOID!! , the pizza turned up in a broken box all squashed and not able to even think about eating , 2 potions of chips had about 10 chips in each portion , the nann bread was like rock! , and the pie was like mash all stuck to the paper rapper!! Upon contacting the restaurant was offer 25% off next order or nothing! I will never order from these again beware stay away , I wouldn’t of even fed this food to my dog

Has to be one of the best takeaways in Peterborough. Delivery drivers are always so friendly and polite. Literally always smiling! Food is always bang on. Personal favourite is the half pounder. Bun is never soggy. Salad is always fresh. Chips are always great too. They have a great range of food and you will always find something you want. Have ordered from them a few times now and food is always consistently great. Nothing to complain about.

Grasiest fish batter ever, all the batter comes off into the paper when they wrap it

The fish batter was very soggy and the fish was a bit over cooked but everything else was ok

Food tasted nice, a little on the cold side even though it arrived 15 minutes early. Paid for 2 large kebabs, received some meat in a tray (no salad, no pitta).
