Fish Machine in Croydon

I'm so sorry, but I think this is the worst Fish and chips restaurants that I've been to. Their burger patties are hard and tasted so bad. Don't really recommend the restaurant. Not at all. My burger is still better than them.

Awful and terrible place, I bought some chips, they were old and hard, she told me she had to make fresh ones but instead after making them she gave me the old ones, I could eat only a third of the portion and almost vomited and throw away the rest, moreover there were all those tiny black dots on the chips, they use the same oil over and over again to save money, zero health safety care. Don't waste your money here!

Just bought a saveloy from here and it was rock hard! Instead of the usual reddy-pink colour, the skin was dark red/almost brown. Completely inedible. I can only assume they have re-fried leftovers. I won't buy anything from here again. Also, the female server/owner needs to wear a net or hat over her hair when handling/serving food

I don't know what they fry their fish etc in, but not for the first time I've been left with stomach cramps and the runs. Stay away, wish I had now.

I asked for a large cod only to be given a somewhat rather small looking fish for my money's worth. The portions are very small to the point I asked if the fish and chips was given in the bag. I will not be going there again and explains why the shop is always empty and not busy at all.

Chips were all rock hard, when I was eating them you could tell they had been left there and then just put back in the oil to warm them back up. Would not recommend this shop

Horrible! The health department need to shut them down. Me and my son both got really bad stomach aches as a result to their unhygienic food. The restaurant looks so dirty and unhygienic. I

Been there today and excellent service ,fish nice and flaky and homemade chips plus beautiful lady to chat to while waiting . Will be back soon

This is the dirtiest fish and chips shop, saw a dead roach in the corner. Need to be shut down asap

Wish I could of gave it NO stars, disgusting avoid at all costs, me and my son was so ill after eating it, they literally could make a killing but ewww the old oil they use is nasty (I can only wonder what the hell it is) it's always empty in there for a reason, I was wondering why people were looking at me funny when I walked in there, but I wish they told me before I made me and my son ill, I should of sued really, but environmental health needs to pay that establishment a visit, anyone saying it's nice they're lying or have ties to the shop, smh nearly ruined my love for fish and chips, SORT IT OUT SKETCHY!!!!!!!

Great Fish &Chips, Cheap and freshly cook unlike other chippy all ready made, takes a little to cook but its all worth it. The place just need a update décor but the owner was friendly and helpful. Can even pay with my credit card. Can't wait to go back again

Food is always fresh and cooked when ordered, large portion sizes with good prices. No problem with bad oil taste like others have suggested.

Obvious smoke showing that cooking oil is old. Fish & chips cooked in it meant the batter was left with this stale burnt smell. It did make me feel not well, and a large fish, would have been small in other fish shops. I love fish and chips, and after 60 years, i can say this is the most unsatisfactory visit of all. It isnt a nice shop, as it looks like it needs a good clean. The menus have been up on the wall since the year dot. Abysmal. Keep clear.

Probably some of the worst food I have ever eaten and I will be letting the hygiene department know about this as I have terrible stomach ache due to this shop and it's under cooked food DONT EAT IN THIS SHOP PEOPLE it's not worth the risk

Fish was cooked immediately and though the chips weren't, I could tell they would've been tastier than they were. Fish batter was crunchy and the fish was tender. The decor and machines are old but the owners could turn the place into a 70s retro place.

they are ruff n very discustin there hygiene is very poor n dirty surpriseing they are still open with there dirty shop and poor hygiene i never eat from there again food is horrible taste like the oil never gets changed
