Fish King in York

La comida siempre es buena, pero desafortunadamente no recibí mi pedido completo. Le mencioné esto al conductor de la entrega que fue muy grosero y dijo que no era su problema. Debe comprobar que el pedido sea correcto antes de realizar la entrega. Luego intenté llamar a la tienda y no pude comunicarme después de varios intentos. No volvería a ordenar desde aquí simplemente por el mal servicio recibido.

Pedí comida para llevar para la familia. El pato en salsa de ciruelas era pato en piña que estaba cubierto de masa grasienta. Las galletas de gambas estaban cubiertas de sal, los fideos eran insípidos y todavía estoy buscando el chile en mi carne con chile. Estoy deseando que vuelva a abrirse Wing Lee. No impresionado en absoluto

Won't be visiting again! The chips were so greasy. Yuk! They were stuck together and came off the paper in a great big mushy pile. Horrid. Ended up being binned.

Thought we try a different Chinese for holiday tea. Not the best in the world big portions but no flavour. I had sweet and sour chicken very poor and we got some chicken and rice. No flavour very disappointing no way the best in York as others say. Won’t recommend

So I ordered a “hot” box noodle meal and I get a bimf box not even a bloody Eskimo would eat that. Not enough chicken and it looked like elephant mans knee caps cut up and threw into a wok. What a load of 💩

We thought we'd try a different Chinese takeaway for a change, as we'd had a menu delivered through the door. I wish we hadn't. We ordered two different Beancurd dishes, one salt and pepper and one sweet and sour. With a portion of chips and boiled rice. The Beancurd was so overcooked that it was basically like chewing polystyrene. The chips were undercooked and soggy. The boiled rice was okay. So basically we paid £12 for a portion of boiled rice.

The best Chinese in york ! Cheap too, managed to feed 3 people all for £15:50, Fast service time too! Can’t fault this place !

my parents used to use this takeaway for tea . Spot on all the time good portion and quality meal. Definitely Would recommend

A regular to this takeaway for some time, I’m saddened to say since the change in owners last year the taste and quality of the food is not as it once was. We’ve varied our choices from fish and chips to several varieties of Cantonese food and tonight again another disappointment. However the customer service is excellent, always friendly. I’ll not go into the detail re the food as everyone should make their own verdict. For us it’s goodbye for the time being, sadly 😔

As i live locally., i have ordered fish and chips from this place before and they have been ok. However i decided on trying chinese/Thai after a late shift at work. I ordered the Thai style special which was truly awful. Fried in the same oil as the fish n chip fryer it tasted of grease and soaked in a brown sauce thats more like HP brown sauce than tamarind. £6.70 straight in the bin! Went to bed hungry !!

Used Fish King many times. Mainly Chinese food over the Fish & Chips. The Chinese offering is excellent. A good quality product and sizable portions. Prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Worth phoning ahead as they are often busy.

In a nutshell, the best chinese food ever. Always get the salt and chilli chips. Always get Crispy po po chicken. Does really good fish and chips as well. Can't recommend it enough.

Great to find a local for Good Fish and chips, not bad mushy peas, curry sauce need to be a bit thicker, but very good and enjoyable at a reasonable price. If your heading out of York on Shipton road it is not far from here and worth a 5 minute detour for some good old fish n chips, they also have an extensive Chinese menu , but can not resist the Fish N Chips,

Nice chinese takeay. Had it w few times. Good size portions. Tasty. Reasonably priced. Clean place and polite staff. Will surely visit again (as its just aroubd the corner 😊)

No puedo creer que alguien puede encontrar algo negativo, pescado, patatas fritas, comida china. . . fresco y sabroso cada vez. Las patatas fritas son los mejores que he comido! Y todos estamos ansiosos de noche china en nuestra casa. Cocinan las patatas fritas y pescado, etc. justo en frente de usted, así que no estoy seguro de lo que se entiende por no usar aceite? ! ? Ive been here a few times and tried the fish and chips but felt ill afterwards - felt bloated and ill - looked nice but i dont think they use oil to fry the fish and chips

Yo solía usar un caro restaurante chino de una milla de este para mi comida para llevar, y sólo comprar el delicioso pescado y patatas fritas de la Fish King (pescado recién preparado, no se plantó en el más caliente de secado). Alguien nos recomendó la comida china. China de un "fish and chips"? No lo creo, siempre ha sido una mala experiencia en el pasado.

We have been avid fans of other takeaway outlets and restaurants of Chinese and Cantonese food in Rawcliffe area, York. A friend recommended fish King to us for Chinese food and I was very optimistic as they also serve fish and chips. I needn't have been.The food is so fresh and very tasty, it's very clear nothing is re-heated. We have had three take away meals now & the standard of food is consistent. I highly recommend this takeaway.Note - chips with Chinese meal are more suited to fish and chips, not to our taste with the Chinese food, on their own or with fish they are tremendous! If there was a criticism to be had, it is that it is not open on a Sunday, and I suspect they are losing business to other Takeaways in the area because of this.

The food here is absolutely delicious, you must try especially the salt and chilli ribs!Please try it you will not regret

This fish and chip shop/ Chinese takeaway is definitely the best in York. I have been to nearly all in York and this takeaway is a must visit on your to do list. Fresh food, extremely clean and gorgeous Chinese food, portions are massive but most of all quality and service is second to none. Thx all at fish King you have my vote as No1. Had fish and chips here three times in last 2 months. Freshly cooked, large portion, lovely taste,every time. Tonight had their Chinese, a curry & chow mein, large portions enough for two, I thought and really nice. Brilliant, I'll go nowhere else for a take out.

We spent a couple of nights in York and came across this amazing takeaway. The owners were really nice and very polite. The chips were lovely and the battered burgers were really nice too. Defently going back to this takeaway when we go to york again

Frequently go here to get a tray of Doner meat and it's brilliant pricing for a nice takeaway. The staff are always lovely and friendly.
