Very disappointing, batter was soggy, fish was tough, chips were just about warm but were stodgy, expensive for what we received. Called to tell of our concerns which was not worth the call as young girl really didn’t care definitely would not recommend or return

Ordered 1 cod and 1 haddock with chips. Very disappointing. . The batter was stodgy and the fish was dry. Also the chips was just warm and greasy. Phoned up and was told sorry. Waste of £20. Won’t be going there again.

We hadn't been to Fish Face for a long while but it always used to be excellent. Have been three times over the last few weeks . The first fish and chips were not so good and the batter was very, very, soggy. Chips were alright. Last week there was a slight improvement but they were still not up to the standard we used to really enjoy. We thought today might be be third time lucky but, unfortunately, it wasn't. Batter was once again soggy. We initially thought we were a bit unlucky and it was an isolated occasion but three times in a row is unacceptable. Regret to say we will not be coming back, which is a great shame as they were once excellent.

Great service. Hot fresh chips. My mate said the fish was very good... I think he had cod in batter. Best chippy in the area. The portions are also very generous. We shared a medium chips between 2 and there was plenty each. The large chips would feed 4. Great value for money. Don't understand the poor reviews.

1 out of 5. Absolutely disgusting food and attitude from owner was very visible. He clearly wanted to be elsewhere. Fish soggy batter and chips some undercooked and some crispy. These days people don't have money to throw away.

Went to buy tea for family on a Friday night, walked in and was seen by the two people serving behind the counter. Waited in what appeared to be a queue will they carried on bagging food up and placing it in the food cabinets. After waiting about 10 minutes to be served, another customer walked in and was served straight away by the two people behind the counter. Worst customer service ever had, staff need to be aware of who is waiting to be served. Won't ever go back, will use the better fish and chip shops in town

Absolutly loved it. Tried everywhere else locally (they may be good) but always end up back here. Haddock and chips. Perfection.

We always use fish face, the whole family love the fish and chips, good quality batter with a good crunch, beautiful light and airy. The kids love the fish bits perfectly sized for them. Easy to order and collect, always clean and well priced.

Been using for about a year now. Always been nice but tonight was awful. Chips were cold and hard. Totally spoilt it for me. Sorry but won’t be back.

We always keep our eyes open looking for a place to eat, and often Google 'places to eat near me'. Inevitably, we nearly always end up at The Marsh Harrier, St Ives. A tried and trusted venue. Would definitely recommend to would-be diners.

We are locals and go to The Old Bridge when we want something a bit special - today was my birthday so we popped in for lunch in the bar. We both ordered warm sandwiches, but were very disappointed in both. Last time these were served on large baguettes and were full of fillings, today we got small brioche rolls and the turkey was cut so thin I almost missed it, an equally thin slice of dried out stuffing and a bit of cranberry sauce, a tiny tiny portion dried out skinny fries, no basket, and the “salad” was warm and wilted, all edible but I’ve had tastier food in the Olmo Lounge. Two drinks each and the bill was just shy of £60 as they had added a 12.5% service charge, which we were not made aware of. The staff were polite but didn’t do anything special, it’s bar food, I don’t expect a mandatory service charge .We will think twice before returning, I think the cutbacks have started to creep in under the new owners sadly
