Fish & Chips @ Pizza Village in Derby

I wouldn’t even give it a one star they tried telling me that oil went on my pizza ,, when it’s clearly moldy. Not happy about this at all so NEVER get pizza from here!!

It’s lovely they give you free stuff every now and again and food portions are massive and prices are low

Wouldn't recommend. They sent cold food, fish batter undercooked. Potato fritters were difficult to snap, was completely overcooked and inedible. Only thing worth ordering was the tray of kebab meat. Took them an hour and a half to deliver from a store that's 10 minutes away in the car. Absolutely vile food considering the price and time it took to deliver it and the standard it came in. Disgusting.

Food arrived cold, chips where half cooked and still hard in the middle. Fish batter was uncooked throughout. It took a hour and a half to arrive. Orderd once before and it was lovely. Very very disappointed and will never order again. Avoid if you want to waste your money on cold hard undercooked food.

Good all round takeaway. If you fancy chippy chips on a Sunday then this is your place.

Ordered doner,shish and tikka kebab. The doner was absolutely disgusting, thin, hard, horrible taste, chicken tikka was no better. Shish was okay though.

this place can get really busy some days because it's worth it. they usually are early for delivery so it's no problem to wait 10 mins occasionally. prices are good, food is delicious.

Had fish and chips last night from here whilst visiting my dad, they were really nice. The staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Great selection of food too

Really good but noticed the chippy side has changed. Sausage wasn't chippy type..tasted like beef and beef battered burger was really poor so won't be ordering again. Pizza side though is still excellent, will just avoid chippy side.

Very nice garlic bread with cheese, delivery £3.50 when I’m literally 2 minutes away in a car !!! Have had deliveries from miles away cheaper !!

I have ordered Hawaiian Pizza, Cod and chips, special kebab and I'm very disappointed. Pizzas crust have been tasting like very thick white sauce, i expected to bee cheese ( disgusting ), Cod was dry , chips soft ( may be due to delivery time over an hour ) and was look like leftovers from deep fryer . Kebab was uneatable, doner meat salty as hell, shish hard and everything has ridiculously strong lemmon flavour from chicken tikka marinade ( worts kebab ever) , one plus for sallad , looks fresh, but still taste lemon.

The food was late. The peas were watery. The battered sausage was somehow overcooked and tasted burned. The warm brownies were just lumps of cookie dough baked into the cardboard. The ice-cream was delivered in the same hot box as the cookies so it wasn't just melted, it had curdled. This was the single worst meal I've ever eaten from a chip shop, and that is saying something

Pie hard sausage cold disappointing

We like to order from here as the food is spot on. The last order we had, we tried something different. I ordered a small pizza with a note saying we’d like a bbq base. I also ordered a peri peri chicken wrap and an order of chips. What I got was a tomato base pizza, a plain chicken wrap and a portion of chips that had seen better days. So disappointed

I have tried this place so many times. The pizzas and kebabs are lovely. (Usually) The chips and garlic bread was awful. The garlic bread was iceland special (I should have cooked some myself) I ordered a cone of chips. Was more like 3 cones soggy in a plastic carton. I was hoping by now they would learn to cook chips properly. Hence why I ordered a cone. The Pizza was nice. Aways my fave pizza here but I could taste previous cooking I.E fats etc. Dont think they have had an overhall clean. Sorry if im wrong but when paying almost £17 for a meal I expect quality

Bad attitude when i rung to complain, lied to me about delivery driver. 45 minutes late without an update or apology. Very poor.

Waited over an hour for food, when it turned up it was someone else's order. Rang restaurant and was told by delivery driver 'it wasn't his fault' when he turned up to swap orders. My order was stone cold by this point after sitting in someone else's house for god knows how long. Restaurant lied when approached about this and told me my food was 'good' and 'hot'. They also refused to refund. The fudge brownie ice cream contained more frost than brownie as it had quite obviously been thawed out and re-frozen. Will not be ordering from here again and recommend others dont either uess you fancy receiving someone else's order and being told your food is hot despite it turning up stone cold.

Great food, donner cob 10/10, always on time

Tikka tasted like it was marinated in washing up liquid. Chips were soggy and sweaty. Sausages were cold in the middle. Won’t be eating from here again in any rush

Honestly I don't review often but these guys rock, man... They are advertised as Fish and chips and first off their chips rule - always golden brown, not that damp stuff.. Also - their burgers are so generous in terms of size and also the salad they fill it with - honestly people are sleeping on this place they clearly care about quality and it shows. Massive respect 5/5

Great food and always still hot. The only advice I have is to please stop placing heavy items onto weak pizza boxes. The pizza’s are always crushed.

Changed delivery time as was busy which is fare enough and did let us know, but then when food came was horrible. Savloy went straight in bin. Fish, and peas mix tasted like plastic or some sort of chemical.

Ordered from here previously and was great. Unfortunately this order was wrong. Ordered chicken tikka wrap with chilli and a pepsi max got grilled chicken wrap with mayo and a fruit shoot!! Food itself is nice unfortunately I don't like mayo so had to scrap it off which spoilt the meal. Didn't complain as was an hour wait and we were very hungry. Partners meal was good and exactly what he ordered.

Absolutely love this takeaway great food every time great value for money always freshly cooked and hot friendly owners very welcoming every-time , our first choice for pizzas mainly as my children love them kiddy pizza meals aswell as my son loves the biggest pizza again freshly cooked , I never used to be fond of kababs untill I got one from here and I absolutely love it very happy with the service our first choice when it comes to takeaways many thanks

Cheesy chips arrived minus the cheese, rest of order was really good and early by 20 mins.

Gent was nice who delivered and It came within literally 10 mins of making the order, fastest order I’ve ever received. However I ordered doner meat, chips and salad. The meat was like thin plastic and there was no salad. I did request cheese though and that was added to my meal.

I said no red union instead you gave me no sauce on the kebab and covered it in RED ONIONS so it went in the bin.

Maybe sort out the kebab section, really disappointed when it says all donner kebabs are served with naan and salad and you don’t provide it.

Food turned up on time no issues with that but cold when turned up had to warm up ourselves. Didn't want to eat cold kebab didnt look appealing would certainly not order a kebab from them again

fast delivery, food delicious and hot

Order was late, but restaurant notified if delay. Only one delivery driver so understandable the food was piping hot and the portions were huge. Large fish was immense and the cod was beautiful to taste and really chunky. Small chips were big enough for 2. No complaints at all will definately order again as food was faulted well done to all.

I don’t usually leave reviews! I ordered chips and cheese with salad and mayo, a regular chicken tikka kebab, chocolate cake and drinks. The food is well priced and you get lots for your money. The food was absolutely beautiful!! Ive ate from many takeaways but this food didn’t just taste amazing but it looked like it was out of a magazine it was perfect. I can’t fault the food at all. Like I said I don’t leave reviews but I had no complaints at all. The delivery man was extremely polite, 10/10 from ordering the food to eating it 😍

Have to admit, I've avoided this place for a while after a bad delivery but I risked it today and this time they made up for it! Food was quick and hot. Lovely chips and not tight with the cheese. Excellent sides and good quality sauces. Strawberry milkshake was to die for. They forgot a pie which I didn't even remember but they still sent the guy back to drop it off. Delivery man was lovely. Might risk ordering again...😄

Well I felt I had to write something on this review. Not because I’ve been tempted with a lovely ☺️ fudge cake nor the handsome cheery guy who delivers the food on a regular basis. But the superb way they cook everything to perfection. My number 1 takeaway. I’ve never had a bad delivery and I’ve ordered many times 😁

I love this place but this order was one Luke warm, great for the sausage for my son as he could eat it without waiting for it to cool but not great for me to be eating barely warm food. I didn't enjoy it today and left most of it. It was a waste of money for me today.

Food was late, and when it arrived wasn’t very warm, which was disappointing. However the ice cream shake was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed that. So okay overall I guess.

Pizza was 25 minutes early, it was so hot it was like I'd just taken it the oven. Food was good I would recommend this place.

First time we ordered from here (fish and chips) it arrived on the dot and was delicious. This order was almost an hour late (55 minutes). The sausages looked and tasted like they were two days old and had been deep fried at least three times. Phoned the restaurant when 50 minutes late and they said the delivery guy’s car had broken down, even though when I messaged at about 30 minutes the message back said they were very busy. Asked for a refund and got £3, but that’s off my next order from them. Won’t be happening. If you can’t cope with the orders don’t be on Just Eat. Poor quality, poor service.

Asked for deep pan & got thin pizza. Overall ok but just disappointing. Collected at specific time and had to wait for them to make the 2nd order up for a while.
