Fish & Chips in Blaby

Having recently moved into the area we decided to try the local Chippy as we had heard it was under new management. What a treat. The fish was delicious, chips were thick and chunky and both were freshly cooked while we waited. Will definitely be back for more! There is no phone number for them at the moment but were told this was in hand. No hesitation in recommending. Friendly staff.

Stoney Stanton Fish and Chip shop, is now run by new owners, they cook the fish from fresh, so the food is pipping hot there's always plenty of customers too, the food tastes very nice and can recommend them to you if your passing by.

Shop was empty, staff were not friendly. Didn't say hello when I said hello, just blanked me. No eye contact, no please and thank yous, no pleasantries. Could hear staff stating they just wanted to go home. Was clearly putting them out turning up an hour before closing. On top of the poor customer service the food was rubbish. I won't be returning, there are much better chip shops, just a short drive away, where the staff are friendly, the food is fresh and your custom is welcomed.

New potatoes chips, absolutely delicious, Fish so fresh cooked to order, the best in the area no doubt.

Opening time said 4:30 did not open till about 4:50 was waiting outside for 20 minutes. Got into the shop and ordered 2 medium chips. The chips where undercooked and some where still like potatoes. They had no crisp and where hard to bite.

We moved to Sapcote 2 years ago from Cosby. This fish and chip shop is fantastic and we are so pleased to have it on our doorstep

This is the best chippy I’ve been to genuinely for years - the fish is always cooked to order tastes so fresh and the batter is perfect! Would recommend!

We’ve always loved the food here, freshly cooked fish and golden crispy chips! There’s been a new set of staff recently who are all so so lovely and very helpful too (definitely an improvement on the last ones LOL). Would highly recommend; great quality, great service, great food. Our favourite!

We thought we'd try a kebab, it was a miserable night & my husband didn't want to travel too far as home late from work. So he ordered one with chili sauce, the other with garlic mayo, which I love but the little salad I got was swamped in this gungy, sloppy mess. The meat was lukewarm. Surprised to say that the chips my husband had were not the usual uncooked standard they usually are. He decided it was worth travelling a bit further next time, in search of warm chip shop food.

Really nice quality food. Not dripping in fat, but very tasty! Reasonably priced. Always busy whenever we have been, so thats a good sign!

5 minute wait, quite busy but food freshly cooked and tasty. Decent sized portions, reasonably priced. Good, basic chippy.

3rd visit to this fish n chip shop and on each occasion have been met with rudeness. This evening I purchased 2 large fish when home one was stone cold, also ordered 3 savaloys which were also cold and a large chips let me add that were £2.70 when I asked if they were a large the reply was "yeah" I commented that it was to feed 2 adults and 4 kids to which I was met with "so buy some more" will not be using this low quality fish shop again, staff really need to brush up on their customer service skills, they get away with it being the only chip shop in miles.

So I know it's a chippy and not fine dining but I'm a firm believer in service with a smile. You won't get that here! I politely ordered my food and to be honest I felt like I was putting the woman out in doing so!! Not once did she smile or attempt to be friendly, if you are taking someone's money you could at least be pleasant! As for the food the chips are dry, the fish was greasy. Pieces in earl shilton does miles better food and the owners are friendly! I'll drive the extra couple of miles next time!!

Cuando la situación ha dictado, hemos tenido que usar este chips y cada vez han sido muy decepcionante. No puedo cocinar en esta gente del condado de patatas fritas? ? Buscando, grasa están plagadas de anémicos, floppy. . . . . . . Podría seguir, pero yo diría yo lata! Dos personas sin mencionar los Coby. Intentaríamos allí.

Por alguna razón, siempre hay que esperar, cayó el chico, que debe haber sido de 15 - 20 minutos para que nos sirvieran y no había tanta gente, no estoy tan impresionada con la comida, seguramente estas personas deben saber lo que utilizan aproximadamente un día! ! Así está listo! !

Me he comido aquí en un par de ocasiones cuando estamos desesperados, pero las patatas son tan insípido y seco, no entiendo cómo están siempre tan mal. Los palitos de pescado. al papel tanto que es difícil llegar a la placa. El scampi es realmente agradable, pero vamos a Cosby chippy tanto como podamos. Tienda real. y exterior es muy limpio y bien cuidado. estoy asombrado por todas estas buenas críticas. .

Popped in on the way home, friendly service and have to say they were the best chips I'd ever had. Will be going back for sure.

Great scampi and chips. As im lactose intolerant i cant eat normal batter so they cook my fish without batter. Always friendly service

Great fish and chips,kebabs etc.the owners are a good laugh.clean and great tasting fish etc.If you are in the area of stoney Stanton give them a try.

Being new to the Village, it's only right that we tried out the local Chippy....and we are soooo glad we did! Prices are very reasonable and the food was to die for. Fish was cooked to perfection and the batter was nice and light. Nice variety of Pies and a good menu for kids too. Top marks Stanton Chippy!

As our local chip shop we visit regular, the quality is always very good and very consistent. They are freshly prepared and always happy friendly staff!

I have only used this chip shop on a handful of occasions,mainly due to the fact it doesn't stay open very late in fact even on Fridays I have known it shut by 9!! Unfortunately where it is situated doesn't help as its not in the centre of the village. The plus points are that the staff are friendly and helpful and the chips (not the biggest portion ) are quite good as is the fish. It is what it is which is a small chippy which serves fish and chips with no frills.

Having just moved to stoney stanton we were keen to try out our local chippy....good portion sizes the fish is always cooked from fresh as you wait which is a plus ....lovely clean premises lovey food

I have visited on many occasions and can honestly say that the quality of the Fish and Chips are outstanding.The portion size is adequate giving you value for money.The premise is always clean and tidy with a top Food Hygiene Rating of 5. Parking can be a bit tight to park outside the shop, but you will find parking along the road.Looking forward to the next visit.
