disappointing. food was mediocre. very understaffed. the staff that were there absolutely tried their best. needs some managing.

Food was poor and very small portions. We were lured in by the offer that kids would eat free but the prices of everything for the adults was ridiculously expensive for what it was. On our return we opted to go into the city to eat.

2nd time here, 1st time last year it had just opened and was fantastic, was really looking forward to it again. Really great service and food, and at a reasonable price for an airport hotel, free for kids! Any time we go to Manchester Airport we will come here. 10 per cent service charge was auto applied (optional to remove) which is what I was going to give anyway and did as the service was great, but so you are aware. Hope it goes to your lovely staff

Sona's hospitality during my visit to Firin restaurant was outstanding. She greeted me warmly, was very attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Her friendly demeanor and prompt service made my dining experience truly enjoyable. I look forward to being served by Sona again

Service quite a bit less than adequate and my burger was well done. The desserts were somewhat off-putting. Ridiculously expensive for what you get. Also didn't apply the happy hour discount until we asked.

A surprisingly good burger and chips, with a very tasty Turkish larger to wash it down. This is a busy place, and a reservation was needed. I stopped by at 7 pm on a Wednesday evening and got a table for 7:30 pm

Airport restaurants are invariably average so expectation levels were not high, however, the food was actually good and pleasantly surprised. I did not expect to find a Turkish restaurant and we had the eggplant shakshuka (quite spicy) and the lamb shish, both highly recommended. We also tried the Turkish wine and was very acceptable. Only disappointment was that most of the staff did not look like they wanted to be there, and was a lovely end to the meal to have our bill served by a cheery and pleasant waitress, Lavanya. Thank you. If you are looking for a meal at Manchester Airport then this is as good as anywhere. We went to the Raddison Blu restaurant last time we stayed overnight at the airport, which is also worth a visit, but Firin edged it.

Pleasant staff but got my drinks order incorrect twice. Food was expensive and mediocre at best. Coupled with the fact the portion sizes were tiny made it a dissapointing meal.

Absolutely fantastic. From the time you walk in to reception, the staff was so professional, food was great. The place was packed yet the staff was whizzing around with smiling faces. We had our server check up on us and that was so nice of her even though she was so busy. Seems like the staff really enjoy their work and cooperate with each other. Highly recommend it.

Surprisingly good for an airport hotel restaurant. Turkish food was fresh and tasty and service was excellent once I got a table. The wait for a table was 45 minutes and it was a tad noisy with kids but the food and table service by Meghana made up for it

Our server Cherry was exceptionally friendly and an absolute delight. Her customer service is fabulous, she is a credit to the company. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are very generous . This is the second time we have eaten here and would highly recommend it.

Food was ordered as room service - falafel with cacik, afyon pide and raspberry frangipane tart. Everything looked good but was very average in taste. I did not enjoy. Extensive menu with vegan, gluten free and halal options. Quick service and helpfull staff.

Couldn't fault the food it was delicious. However sat next to a brat watching their electronic device without headphones. NO adult wants to listen to this. It's ignorant and neglect. Try talking to your kids. Also 12.5% service charge whacked on bill. In the day of minimum wage this should be banned. Quite expensive for what it is.

My partner and I had an unexpectedly good meal at Firin. We were impressed by the menu and the food came very quickly and was super fresh with quality ingredients. We were also pleased to see Cloudwater on tap - nice that local businesses are being represented. Service was friendly but rather slow in clearing the plates and bringing the bill.

Arrived tonight at 8.15 and had to wait 30 mins for a table.it was really busy as it services both hotels. The service was really good and friendly but the food was average at best and overpriced. There is nothing else around so no real alternative but I would only return for a drink

We enjoyed a lovely evening meal. The food was tasty and hot. Service from the staff was good, they were very attentive. The drinks were a little on the slow side coming to the table and we had asked for water, but theat didn't come. We cannot complain about the food though... delicious! Nice atmosphere and the staff were very smiley and pleasant.

Truly the worse meal I have ever had. The place looks nice until we began service. First they never came to offer drinks? Why? Surely that’s the first thing you do to settle us in? We had to ask for drinks which then came. We then ordered food and chaos really started!!! My wife ordered the fish dish and I ordered Pide with a side of chips, the fish came and the chips but no Pide? We waited, and waited, my wife pretty much finished her meal, chips were cold and then the pide turned up luke warm? What a shambles? Shame because the hotel is well located for T2 but won’t eat there again!!! The girl did remove the pide and chips and I asked her to remove the service charge… another chap walked in and sat on the next table,,, ten minutes later he simply grunted about lack of service and walked out? Come on Firin, sort this chaos out or people will simply give you a miss!!!

The service here is AMAZING, not to mention the presentation which was absolutely on fleek. I came to this restaurant whilst staying at the hotel, and I was blown away by the talent of the chefs and waiters/waitresses. Fun environment, friendly staff and delicious food.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn and ate here for dinner. The service was fantastic, very helpful and enthusiastic staff, and the food was delicious. Can't fault it in anyway. You do need to book as it gets very busy.

Good Turkish restaurant - surprised to find this at an airport hotel. Excellent vegan options - wild mushroom soup (changes regularly), hummus both with freshly made flatbread and a very fresh mixed salad. Service was at the right level of attentive.

We had a very good evening meal while. I had the Sri Lankan vegetable curry which was excellent. We also had a baked halloumi, be careful because the tomatoes are very hot. All in all a friendly and agreeable restaurant.

Shockingly bad. Service really slow. Then all the food came out cold. Replaced, in fairness without question, with a still cold lamb dish that was just connective tissue and no meat. Inedible. Pide was passable without being enjoyable, but even fries weren't right. Frankly, it was just embarrassing. A shame, we have been here before and really enjoyed it.

The menu was a bit limited we had fish and chips. The fish was very dry and tastless. Drinks overpriced and the place felt like a barn and was not very warm.

I enjoyed my meal at the Firin, service was excellent no wait for food or drinks. Little service charge added to bill but is highlighted on menu, and can be removed if requested, suites me save’s leaving a tip..👍

Service was first class;friendly and attentive. The food was excellent- Baba Ganoush and Pide washed down with a couple of glasses of Turkish red wine. The 12.5% service charge was less than I would have tipped so no complaints there. If you’re trapped at Manchester Airport you could do worse!

Food and service are excellent at Firin, which made for a great experience. We had the Afyon Pide, a Turkish style pizza, fries and feta salad to share, with every element being fresh and tasty. With a drink each, plus added 12.5 % service charge, the bill came in just under 50 pounds. Prices are above average which you’d expect at a city airport and is the only negative.

The chicken grills are overcooked. The pide and lamb was decent. Service was bad though

I would like to say a big thank you to ‘Suzy’. I had a fantastic experience at FIRIN. On a bustling evening, she made an extra effort to find me a table, even though they were full. I was apprehensive to visit here and previous reviews but had nothing but impeccable service and food. The burger was the best I've had for so long, succulent and delicious. Baklava is delicious too.

Onsite at the Holiday Inn, Manchester Airport, so you are a bit of a captive market. Food and service was good, but two starters, two mains, two desserts, two glasses of wine plus 12.5% service charge came to nearly £110 pounds.

My partner and I had a fabulous meal here, in fact one of the best meals out we've ever had! 🥰 We definitely weren't expecting such a lovely setting, fresh authentic food and great service in an airport hotel and it made our stay extra special! We had the hummus to start, then the half chicken and lamb and were blown away - everything was cooked to perfection, so tender and tasty. Also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Turkish white wine 👌 Looking forward to returning in future!

For what it is, where it is, it's very good. Perfectly fine Turkish (and British) food - it's not going to win any awards but that's not what they're trying to do. Service was quick and polite, the atmosphere was nice. Just across the way you have places charging similar prices for what looks like frozen food...

Really enjoyed our meal. Turkish menu recommended. Halloumi and flatbread starter was tasty and not too salty, nice rich tomato sauce. Mains were equally good , just the right portion size. Very good service, staff are motivated and well trained. Like the open kitchen and design, especially for an airport hotel.

The food was mediocre. Quite overpriced for the amount of food. For example the chicken shish is one skewer of meat and a piece of bread for £18. With two entrees and a side, and we were still hungry. Bill was over £45. Not worth the money. Nice service though.

The best steak we have ever had. If we could eat here everyday we would. Passing through and decided Firin was the most convenient spot. Hostess and waitress friendly, inviting, accommodating and big smiles. Great atmosphere, we will most certainly be back.

We ate here after our transatlantic flight. No other option really if staying here. To our pleasant surprise the food was excellent. Some complained about the service but we were relaxing after our flight and the pace worked for us.

This is a bright and nicely furnished restaurant. The staff are welcoming and very professional. The menu was comprehensive and very reasonably priced. We had the Turkish version of Pizza and enjoyed it so much we came back for a second visit.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here. Our starters, Halloumi and Tzatiki, were delicious. The mains as well were superb. We also enjoyed the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Our party of four commented that we would eat here again when flying in to the Manchester airport.

Excellent and attentive service, with lovely food. I was surprised at all the negative reviews that seemed to havw mixed up the all-day “pub-style” menu with the great turkish food this restaurant offers. Chicken is especially soft and juicy! Desserts are also recommended

Everything was very great. The staff was very attentive, kind and nice. Our food was extraordinary and, although it is a hotel, you felt like you were in Turkey (because the background music is from there).

The restaurant was terrible. Had to chase up for our starters. Kids starter and chips for main came out together. Asked for water which came and no glasses, which again we had to ask for. When they did finally arrive they were hot! Had to ask for one of the main dishes as they didn't arrive. To name but a few . Overall customer service lacking. Won't be recommending to anyone. A Shame really as it's a lovely setting.

Great little Turkish spot if you’re staying at the hotel. Service was friendly and fast and the food was really tasty. We shared the shish, pide and hummus and it was more than enough. Delicious! Please open in Leeds 😉

The reviews of this restaurant unfortunately don't do it any justice as our whole dining experience at this venue was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant was very busy which was expected as it is sited on the ground floor of the very popular Holiday Inn at Manchester Airport Terminal 2. A reservation is highly recommended for this reason, as it's unlikely that you will get a table when they are at their busiest if you aren't staying at the Holiday Inn which is what happened to us three weeks ago. There was an abundance of staff, and it was very clear that everyone knew what their roles were. The management team were very visible, and they were all keen and helped to maintain service levels by pitching in. The Turkish theme for this venue was followed to the letter which was totally reflected throughout the food and drinks menu. This in itself was pure class. The meals were very well prepared and cooked perfectly to order, and the staff were informative about the waiting time for each course and remained fully attentive. The hotel is very lucky to have this restaurant within their building and it's popularity was very clear to see by the high volume of customers that were using it. We were staying at a different hotel nearby, but because of the quality of this venue we will be booking a stay at the Holiday Inn when we next fly from Manchester Airport.

This is the restaurant at the Holiday Inn hotel opposite terminal 2 at Manchester airport. It is a Turkish themed restaurant but they do serve other European foods. There is really not much choice of other restaurants in the area. The clientele is the residents and the Holiday Inn and Premier Inn hotels. I had the Lamb Tandir and was very happy with the quality of the food, the ambience, cleanliness etc. When you arrive they will take your order and your main course will come very quickly. Once they serve this, however, they abandon you. I found it impossible to attract their attention to order dessert, so I gave up and asked for the bill instead. The food is reasonably priced for an airport hotel. Be aware that if you order a coca cola, this will come as a bottle which is 200ml! I never knew they made bottles of coke this small.

Really delicious food well presented and authentic. Very happily surprised with our choices. Our children were also very well looked after and they enjoyed their choices.

Visited the evening of 6th May 2023 and can say the reviews are correct and should be listened. Food was pretty good but the service was on a next level of poor. We were waiting for agains for both food and drinks to be delivered to the table. then when the food did arrive my partners food arrived 15 minutes before mine so she was left with the dilemma of eating by herself or risk her food going colds. After 5 minutes I asked one of the waitresses about this and she replied explaining they were very busy, the restaurant wasn’t even at 50% capacity. After 10 minutes I asked again and was told it’s their style, what is your style? Shockingly poor service? After a horrendous meal of missing side dishes, cold food and excuses we asked for the bill. To top it off upon receipt of the bill there was a 7.5% “service charge” totalling over £30. I asked for this to be removed and the waitress snatched the bill out of my hand and stormed off to find the manager. Then the bill turned back up with the service charge removed but my god what an ordeal. Advice to the restaurant I would highly advise that that you look to put the staff through some form of basic training. General the entire restaurant is a perfect example of poor organisation and management the chefs clearly know how to cook but have no idea how to run a kitchen.

5/5 Popped across from our stay at the Ibis hotel Manchester airport to sample the Turkish cuisine restaurant Firin for a pre holiday evening meal. The food was excellent and service was very attentive without been intrusive. We felt the food was great value for money but as with all hotels these days the drinks were pricey. The Lamb was perfect and the Turkish flatbread pizza was freshly made as you watched. This was a great surprise and far better than our normal pre holiday meals thank you to all at Firin

Shame about the negative reviews, I can only find positives about this place. Great restaurant if you’re staying in the holiday inn or the Ibis budget at the airport (15% off for ibis guests before 7pm) Pide was fresh and flavourful - recommend the patate and Melvana. Service was great - friendly and efficient. Items ordered come to the table as they are ready. Baklava was also tasty for dessert.

Today's flight was cancelled and rearranged for tomorrow. An unexpected night in a hotel for the 4 of us. However, our spirits were certainly raised by our evening meal. Between us we had: Baba Ganoush (with flatbreads), Baked Halloumi, Grilled Sea Bass, and Tandir Lamb. Everything was beautifully cooked and so well presented. Staff were very friendly and service was fantastic. Thank you!

I’m not reviewing the hotel or the Turkish restaurant, Firin. I just wanted to leave a note regarding the English meals available here. We ordered a classic burger for GBP 16,50 and would like to suggest that they add in the cheese for free instead of offering it as an add-on for GBP 1,50. The burger was very dry otherwise. If the onions had been sautéed and caramelised that might have helped. Overall, the staff were brilliant, very helpful and solicitous.

Ins Restaurant darf man sich nur setzen, wenn man was ist, dann wird man von der Kellnerin auch grinsend bedient. Ansonsten darf man auf anderen Plätzen seinen Wein oder sein Bier genießen. Das türkische Essen ist nicht annähernd authentisch türkisch, aber vermutlich genügt es vielen. Der Kellner an der Bar war sehr freundlich und amüsant.

I visited this restaurant on 15.03.2023. Service was super express, basicaly we didnt wait for anything. Food delicious - perfect way of cooking. Enjoyable hallumi in tomatto-addictet sauce, chicken was perfect grilled and juicy, rice pilav amazing, turkish pizza full of flavour with very light and crispy dough. Staff is very fiendly and helpful.❤️

Waited an hour for a table to be told the chef had said to stop people coming in as couldn't cope in the kitchen despite the fact there was numerous empty tables !!!!! Never again

Had the Shish chicken with skinned fries. Absolute mess of a meal. Flatbread like rock, chicken tasteless and dry as a bone. Few onions scattered around. And to top it off frozen fries! To be fair to the staff they took the price of the meal off the bill. But so much improvement needed.
