Fab fish and chip shop . Best in the area . Staff are lovely , always friendly even when rushed off their feet. You don't have to make many returns visits for them to remember you and remember how much salt and vinegar you like . Brilliant .

Big order today nice chips, sausage, fish cake and cod feeding six. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Can be a bit of a challenge if the girls behind the counter are not feeling it. They can be top of the league for rudeness and have witnessed some scathing verbal assaults if you mess them about at the front of the queue. Today in hot temperature and a queue snaking down the road they were in complete control and were polite and efficient.

Don’t know what we expected by the cheap prices but I can say it definitely reflected with the quality of food. We couldn’t finish it half went in the bin. Fish was very dry the chicken was grey. Dog even refused to eat the fish. Those puny packets of sauce wasn’t worth even a penny. now worried we will get food poisoning. Soz guys 2 stars for effort tho I respect the grind

Cash only. Very important that you known it is cash only. Remember, it’s cash only. It’s also worth noting that they ARE open on a Sunday evening, not all nearby chip shops are. Remember to take cash though, otherwise you’ll leave empty.

Fish portions were very small and my wife's place was literally only skin and batter. We were going to take it back but didn't want to spoil our afternoon with the children. Chips were the only saving grace

Weordered two potion of chips . Got out and opened them, the potions were half bulked out with fish scraps ( scraps are the batter that comes off from when frying items such as fish) . It was obvious they tried to give our portion of chips with 50% chips and then rest all scraps . One portion was so bad my sister returned it to the shop and said we paid for chips not chips and scraps!!!! The woman had the audacity to say the scraps were new potato ! She must think we are idiots ! My sister said this wasn’t new potatoes the are clearly just fried batter !!!! She also said how come the woman next to me when was given her portion of chips wasn’t give any of this scraps !!! We do feel we were picked on as she thought we wouldn’t speak out as we are Asian and wear headscarf ! Need to say we ain’t going back there again

Probably the worst ive eaten never tasted such cheap sausages i wouldnt even feed to a animal tbh chips tasted like old oil had better on a night out at a cheap burger van

Great place for day visitors and holiday makers

Got to be the worst food I've ever had definitely yesterday's re heats outside was dark inside was hard and foul tasting

OK got a large fish and chips which were nice. Fish could be bigger

came here with my partner as i used to come here as a kid a remember it being very good. got 2 sausages chips and gherkins. the gherkins smelled moldy and were very bleak like that had been sat there for years opened. sausages tasted cheap frozen and wernt even battered properly may aswell have gotten a plain sausage. chips where hard and wernt that amazing. oh and the curry sauce… it was seperated which makes me wonder how old it is to have got like that. will not be coming to here again.

Used to love it here but recently they’ve changed to beef dripping so are unsuitable for anyone on a vegetarian or vegan diet :( such a shame

This is by far my favourite fish and chip shop in Felixstowe. It has always been the best one in my opinion. I've visited them since I've been a little girl too and I'm now nearly fourty. I've tried all the others a few times but this is by far the best. I haven't found one actually that has beat it for me unless I get myself to St Ives in Cornwall! I appreciate the little touches like salt and vinegar sachets being added separately so your chips don't go soggy with vinegar if you need them wrapped. Yes the main lady is loud, but they get really busy sometimes so to me it seems she may shout and seem abrupt but actually I think she is just trying to get all the orders done in good time. They have all always responded politely to me once I've been polite to them anyway. Highly recommended!

Fiores is on the road across from the beach, near Mannings. So it is ideal for a take away to eat on the beach or in the gardens. We usually buy our lunch at the chippy down the road, but have been trying other take aways after they were closed on the day we come to Felixstowe. This was our second time here and it won't be our last. We were met with a smile and the fish was cooked to order. I waited outside until it was ready. We took our lunch down to the docks, and it was still piping hot when we got there. The batter was crispy, and the cod was thick and chunky and tasted beautiful. Quite the nicest cod we have had for ages. Chips were lovely too. Next time, we might try the battered sausages, because they looked amazing! We will definitely be back. The shop looked clean, there are two doors (entrance, exit), and the only disadvantage i can see is that at the moment it is cash only. I'm not sure why.

Opening hours seem to be out of date on Google. And most importantly it's cash only, which feels outdated now, especially given the price of a meal for a family. The Saltwater (2 mins away) does take cards if you're stuck.

Best in town for chips and there sclopped potatos are great

Nice tasty food, all part of the seaside atmosphere.

Disgusting meal. The cod, what there was of it was very thin and welded to the batter, so no nice white flakes that you expect with cod. It tasted dry and stale with no flavour whatsoever. The chips were greasy and had a green tinge to them. They weren't even peeled properly and some had black bits on the ends. I won't be eating there again. It could have been a nice meal but they wasted my money with their apathy.

Best one down the sea front, was shut one week and we tried the one down the road towards the pier and it was DEAD!

A lovely fish and chips lunch to eat in the beach gardens. Very quick and efficient service by the friendly staff.

Good food, veryclean, very efficient service.

Saveloys are half sized and not crispy. Chips cooked in same oil as other items so our chips are full of batter. Can barely taste the food. Other chip shop up the road is far better.

Wasnt impressed. Cash only. Only had 'Large' cod left, which were obviously more expensive, but they didnt seem large compared to other cod we have had. no forks or napkins available. Bit of a let down to be honest.

Lovely food however the 3 times we visited the large portions are more kids portions

Shouting across at customers with no eye contact, absolutely no manners and throwing the order on the side once ready. Rude comments also made to us when we had to ferry only part of the order out of the door to small children, then come back for the rest. We we’re made very aware that we had to get out of the way quickly for the other customers. Food was ok.

Greasy chips, stale overkept fish, to point batter was chewy. Dried up fish like a pancake. Threw it away

The cues are long and the wait is long all for good reason the food is amazing and the quality is very good, nothing is Greecy or soggy and its soooo cheap

Best fish and chips in the world

Just had the misfortune of eating fish chips and mushy peas from this place!.......an absolute insult to fish and chips!!! the batter was awful the chips still managed to be undercooked even though we had to wait over 15 minutes for the peas to be cooked aparently!....and as for the peas when they finally arrived!!! i've honestly never seen anything like them.....when we saw how nuked they were we realised these people didn't have a quality control department or a 'chef'......also to top it off the service was abysmal and borderline rude, we should've known better really, rule number one, never wait for stuff to be cooked to order at a chippy......there's always a good reason they're not busy........never again, especially since Felixstowe is choc full of good chippies.

Use this chip shop a lot have always enjoyed

I ordered cod and chips from here and a large haddock for my husband. The fish was thick and chunky and the batter was crisp. Unlike the ones further down the road who gives you thin fish and stodgy batter and Chips are really tasty to. Wish I had ordered extra chips now. Staff friendly and place looks really clean. Very happy husband and wife

Disgusting chips dripping in grease. A lot of them black. However, the worst part was the customer service. The woman serving was so so rude. No manners, rushed me out the door. I asked for salt and vinegar and she put some sachets in the bag?! Also I asked for an extra tray and she said “10p” and I asked for a bag and she continued ... “15p”. Her manner was so bad. To be honest the shop stunk so I should have gone with my instincts

The regular size fish and chips was cooked while we waited and to perfection, we found the portions to be the right size for the 3 of us. (We had some chips left so these went in the freezer). The takeaway had Covid measures in place with queuing and waiting outside (a bit cold in the sea wind). Surprised it was a 'cash only'.

Perfect food on a sunny day by the sea

Always fresh cooked fries and not frozen type chips, but the real potato. Staff are always pleant and helpful and the flavour of the chips never changes. I make a point of having chips from there everyti come to Felixstowe.

I visited this take away fish and chip shop this week to indulge in an early evening take out fish and chip picnic in the car. It was 6pm and the staff were getting ready to finish, I was just in time though. I was with my Partner and we both had large cod, to accompany the fish we shared a children's portion of chips, The chips and fish are cooked in beef fat and everything was cooked fresh to order We took our fish and chips to a local viewing spot next to the docks and our fish and chip supper was still piping hot. We will take out from this fish and chip shop again when next in Felixtow.

Best fish and chips for miles around

Enjoyed the fish and chips (good batter) and service was pleasant, polite and efficient. Only offering take-away and felt that it was clean which is important during a pandemic (covid-19). Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Went here on Friday night with my friends after a stressful day at work. We picked here because it’s usually really good. Although the food was okay, the staff were incredible rude. They never created us or even bothered to make eye contact with us. They kept tutting and sighing when we asked a couple of questions and when my friend asked for extra forks for our friends outside the girl answered with attitude saying she’d already given us some. I understand it must be busy for them but there’s no need to rudeness.

Smallest large portion we have ever bought!! We have two young children so buy large and share with them, not possible with the portions here, absolute joke! Had to go home and make extra. Chips were pretty terrible, only plus was they include salt and vinegar sachets.

We drove up and down the sea front all the chip shops were closed which was strange as this was a seaside town ! But this one was open we stopped grabbed two lots of chips and headed back to the caravan for chip butties lovely ,I also gave it 4 stars for many an afternoon been sea fishing in the front and once again this one has been open when others have been shut ! We have tried the fish and pies sausages in the past and these were also lovely good health to you all thanks for making our day and being OPEN !

We went to the chip shop just a hundred yards away. Nearer the arcades and has a seating area inside. Well the owner calls it a restaurant. I think you will be hard pushed to find a worse place to eat. His employees looked fed up. He was rude and dirty looking. Constantly wiping his nose with his hand. The burnt cooking oil stings your eyes and the food is abismal Avoid it it’s terrible

This shop sells amazing fish and chips. You can buy small fish and chips for a fiver and there's plenty. Really tasty. We visited the award winning restaurant near the pier which was awful, would much rather come here and eat it out of the paper. Yum!

On their menu they say Rock eel and Plaice but all they have is Cod. If you cross out the fish you don't have perhaps people will make their decision before you ask. In our case we would have not bothered to wait. The woman behind the counter is not very pleasant all she wants is an instant decision to get your money. Anyway we had the Cod which was placed on top of the chips it obviously had not been drained so when we opened the carton a minutes walk across the road the chips were sloppy wet in oil. The fish was horrible not fresh as you would hope at the seaside, it was wet and tasted of nothing, like it was old or badly frozen/ stored. It had lots of bones. Just because there is a Que doesn't mean there any good. GIVE THIS ONE A MISS.

In the window they claim they do the ‘best fish and chips in Felixstowe’ .... well I wonder why any are still in business then! The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had and I’m not joking. The cod was so thinly cut I hardly had any fish inside my batter. There were so many bones! My children were put off it. The batter was not nice. The chips were nothing to write home about. Avoid at every cost!

Terrible staff, stale fish, hair in food. Dont even have napkins.

Went here with a group of ex work colleagues. I had a Medium Cod & Chips with was enormous and very tasty.

Used to get a good portion here, it's literally halved, the chips were obviously reheated as had gone hard the fish was so dried out it was inedible greasy batter will not go again

Popped to the Fish and Chip shop today and the chips were lovely. Lovely little shop and has a restaurant also. Toilets clean however one was out of order. Very accommodating and good prices would return

You can't miss this choppy on sea front it's shaped like a castle with turrets.!,fish and chips where good well cooked and hot . Quite a queue. Waiting so very popular .staff where very friendly .one word of warning is that I believe they cook in beef dripping not oil .(for the weight watchers) however probably accounted for the great tasting supper

Probably the most southerly of the fish and chip shops along Felixstowe seafront, in front of what used to be Manning Amusement Park.
