Ordered the special of Chicken Chorizo Wrap at £9. After waiting over 15 mins I asked what had happened to my order. A very unkempt woman said” it takes time for the chicken to cook. I had watched this same woman eating and drinking through the serving hatch. I worry about the level of hygiene

Shocking service. The woman who seemed to be running the cafe (Eastern European?, fair hair, middle aged) was unbelievably rude. At first I thought it was some kind of set-up. The rest of the staff - poor young people just trying to do their jobs - were terrified of her. Food was ok, if a bit pricey, but you'd have to drag me back there to put up with that kind of treatment again.

We ordered a breakfast (which we were only allowed to eat outside) that took ages to arrive. They were so disorganised that they didn't give an order number, and gave me no update, so I had to keep asking if our breakfasts were ready? When the food arrived, it was not very hot nor tasty. The service was not friendly, almost rude Very expensive all-round and not good value or experience.

Nice little place in the park, perfect if you need a quick bite or a drink. They have good choice of soft and warm drinks, nice cakes and some other food options. I've only had a slice of cake, so can't talk about other food, but it was very decent and moderately priced.

Cafe inside Finsbury Park. Smart exterior but interior worn (tiles missing from floor). No children's area but popular with small children who make a lot of noise amplified by the poor acoustics of the interior. Mediocre coffees that are not very good value and it is difficult to have a conversation because of high noise levels. Best avoided.

This place looks nicer on the outside, the coffee is vile , the service is so slow , the seating is uncomfortable, the place has a certain smell that’s not nice at all , I often wonder if it’s the toilets adjacent to the kitchen ( I could be wrong ) not a nice experience,

I went here with my mother and 2 year old son for lunch on a Friday afternoon about 1pm. The woman serving at the till was the rudest woman I’ve ever had the displeasure to be in the same place as. I had a question about what the kids menu sausages came with ‘I don’t know’ was the reply after I asked the same question 3 times. My mother asked for a cup of tea, and she ACTUALLY ROLLED HER EYES at this request! She’s got black hair and long false eyelashes. Absolutely not the job for her! The food was ok, my pasta was cold though. Please get rid of workers like this, there’s no excuse for rudeness.

We had brunch here. The food and service were fine, and the setting overlooking the park is nice. However, there’s a cage crammed with exotic birds in the garden - it’s exceptionally cruel. As a result I would t visit again.

We enjoyed this place so much we made sure of visiting again the next time we were in London. We were looking forward to the lattes as we walked through Clissold Park as well as Finsbury Park itself. Found them just as good as before. Missed the croissants but the muffins and cake were delicious. Best of all though is the relaxed atmosphere with happy children and parents. One of us said to a regular customer with a small child "It's very nice" the reply was "Yes, we love it here". We would be regulars too if we lived locally!

I lived near Finsbury Park in the 1950s but had never been back until yesterday! The Park has changed much meanwhile, and recently with an update extensive 'makeover'. The Café at midmorning was busy but service friendly and efficient, excellent Latte and croissants. A musician was leading a group of toddlers singing, enjoyed by others including ourselves. I warmly recommend this café and hope to visit again. NOTE: do not confuse this café with one called The Park which is not inside Finsbury Park!

Came here Saturday afternoon whilst on my travels around London to chill and have a cuppa tea and biscuits. Literally the whole time there were about 3 kids constantly running around screaming and it was really dangerous as their were other guests around trying to eat and drink in peace. Real shame as i was thinking of coming here for the summer but now no way. If i want to go to a school playground i may as well go back to schook. I dont come here for it. If you dont like school playgrounds and running kids avoid here.

Good location, overseeing the park, ideal to sit outside with your friends and order what looks great from the menu. Sadly the food lacks professionalism and the staff lacks customer service. First they don't understand what you're ordering, making you repeat it three times, then the food tastes cheap and the cooked dishes aren't even tasty (oil dominates the surface of he plate). Secondly it takes them 25 minutes to bring your food, which ends up being served cold. Shame though, because it could have been a flawless day but we all left uninspired by this place.

We ate here just about every day whilst working on Finsbury Park. The food never ever disappointed. The service on the other hand really needs to improve. The staff seemed to have difficulty in understanding food orders resulting in incorrect meals being delivered every time. Really frustrating. No complaints about portion size, presentation or freshness of food though. Excellent value too

After a bracing walk in the park - which, on a damp, misty morning, is very atmospheric in a peaceful, wintry way - the cafe servd me a first-rate full-English breakfast, plus cappuccino. Not at all busy; just a smattering of 50-somethings, laptop-driven homeworkers, and mums and toddlers. Clean, bright and modern atmosphere.

Here mid-week, early afternoon, with Spanish friends passing through London who wanted a full-English breakfast ... at 2pm. My previous experience of the cafe here has been at weekends when it is a chaotic pitstop for a jabbering jumble of joggers, cyclists, dog-walkers and families with small children. My over-riding impression is of noise and a cloying fug of overheated frying leaving clothes smelling of burnt cooking oil.But hey ... it's 2pm and its midweek, and my options are limited. So, how delightful today to find the place a haven of calm and atmospheric pleasantness. Well, I guess the youngsters must all be in school, and the parents and joggers 'et al' at work, and there was no cloying cooking smell. The full-English breakfast offering was great (scrambled eggs and fried eggs perfect), great coffee (cappucino, flat-white, Americano), tasty moist flapjacks and brownies. Other diners seemed to me to be thirty-something homeworkers takng a break, others using laptops, and a smattering of seniors taking advantage of the fine weather. The menu here also offers pasta, homemade burgers, fish and chips, sanwiches, cakes; all hearty and unsurprising 'park cafe' fare, but seemingly nicely done. There is a web page with more detailed information:http://m.finsburyparkcafe.co.ukSo, mid week, on a fine day, when the kids are in school and everyone who is in employment is at work, Finsbury Park (London's first municipal psrk, btw) and its cafe make a pleasant unpretentious destination. The park itself is a pleasant place to stroll with nice views from the highest point across the valley of the River Lea towards Epping Forest. Did I say that the young team running the place today provided prompt, courteous and good-looking service?

We took my grandson to the park as we were staying in a hotel across the road. Near the play area this café served good and quite copious food. Seven of us ate there, my mushroom omelette was excellent, being at least a three egger with plenty of mushrooms and some chips on the side, others had filled baked potatoes or the all day breakfast. My grandsons sausage on his sausage beans and chips wasn't quite cooked enough but this was rectified. Service was reasonable given that the café was very busy.It was definitely better having a snack here than going down to the cafés around Finsbury Park station.

I used to go to this cafe a lot when I was looking after my grandson, as it is conveniently placed near the children's play area. Decided to introduce my friend to it, as she is always on the lookout for suitable places to take her adult son with special needs for lunch and a walk. When we got there it was busy and the staff were waiting for a food order which luckily for us arrived. The Cajun Chicken Burger had bacon in it, which hadn't been mentioned in the description. I wanted to point this out to staff as my friend is a Muslim, but she didn't want me to as there were several people complaining. I had chorizo and avocado salad. It could have been very good, the dressing was excellent, but the salad consisted of lots and lots of rocket and tomato and nothing else. A disappointment.

Nicely situated in the middle of the park, near the boating lake and children's playground. Service extremely slow (on a Monday afternoon! Ok, it is the school holidays!) and I objected to having to wait while one of the 2 staff served the ice cream queue. Omelette, salad and an iced latte was in the region of £8.50. The omelette was fine, the salad distinctly tired, with wilted leaves and no dressing. The latte was ok, but Costa's is much better! Went back for a caramel ice cream, what a disappointment! It bore no relation to the picture on the poster, it was a cone with about 1" of ice cream on top...for £2.50!! I had a "99" yesterday from an ice cream van which had 3 times as much ice cream, plus a flake and sauce, for £1.25 only! All in all, a disappointment. Bring back the old cafe and family-member staff, which had loads more atmosphere, more basic, cheaper and less pretentious food and where ice cream was home-made and delicious!
