A bit expensive but always great food

Always freshly prepared and tasty food - worth that little wait. Best chippie around. Cant say there's much atmosphere when you go into buy a bag of chips but wouldn't expect anything different!

Been a few times was grear popped in today got some food went over the beach and all these eyes were looking at me think i'll skip Finegans for a while

Ordered online, collected the food without issue and staff were nice in the shop - But later found the fish was EXTREMELY salty, it was just covered in a ridiculous amount of salt and was awful to eat; Threw most of it out

Food was nice here I had large chips with Irish curry sauce and a chip butty with two cans of coke this came to £12.56 witch was a bit expensive TBA but I would eat here again

Unbelievable prices. £4.10 for a beef and onion pie with chips extra. The chips are of good quality but who would pay £4.10 for a pie? I didn't even look at the fish prices but walked out angry. Thank God Baglan fish bar is reopening and we c an expect value for money

Reasonably priced and tasty. Can’t fault them.

1st time in a while we used Finnegans,went over 8.20pm not a thing in the display,so I ordered Sausage and chips and Rissole and chips for myself,well its put me off going there again,the Rissole was taken out of a pack of 4 and plonked in the micro,found it unedible cold in the middle terrible Rissole,sausages my wife had dried and overcooked.

Used to be my fav go to chippy they do the best chips with a ron evans pie,,, sadly now it seems they have removed the best pie you can eat with a lewis greasy tastless gloup of yuk pie,,,, fair to say wont be back no matter how nice your pies are

Honestly, the tastiest Fish & Chips I have ever had. Methodically prepared and cooked fresh to order by the very friendly and conscientious Susan & Deb. Very impressive presentation in a box with a lemon, cutlery & serviette all provided.

Staff very friendly and who ever cooks the fish should be in a Michelin star restaurant

4 stars reflects the price increase and valie for money. The price's have gone up but portion size seems to have gone smaller. That being said its still nice to go for a treat. Sausage in batter is very nice👍

All good. We had a massive order for 30 people which was ready on time, tasted great, and they even helped carry it out to the minibus

Used to love erring here every week, but over time the prices have gone up while both quality and portion size has gone down, the food is a slightly above average chippy, but you’re often paying twice the price for smaller portions. Currently approaching £4 for a portion of chips and over £8 for some Cod. I personally would rather pay the extra if the food was better than I’d get at other places, but sadly it’s not the case anymore

We had the Tuesday fish deal and a sausage special. It was all very nice, the chips aren't too greasy. It's our new favourite chippy.

Our order arrived wrong. We had gravy instead of chip shop curry which we didn’t realise until poured over the chips. My wife doesn’t like gravy and when we phoned up were told they would change it if we travelled down there to change it! I will never use them again what poor customer service

Superb fish and chips the chicken is also great from here! Order ahead though as it’s fresh cooked and saves too waiting around, don’t expect to walk in walk out as fresh cooked food takes time.

Disappointing, food pricey and chips 🍟 not that great this time

Having had many nice fish and chips in the past, I went again last week and was totally disappointed with the fish we had, I don't know if there's a new fish fryer in there now, because the batter was very pale and very undercooked, it was very thick and soggy, not at all crispy as fish batter should be, it really put me off going back for a long time!

Continually very bad warmed over chips.Been customer for years as its local. However we have seen it go from good to absolutely disgusting.Every meal ends up in the bin.So no more we will go elsewhere even if we have to travel for a takeaway.

Called at the chip was served by a trainee who unfortunately could not hear me over the mask, this was not an issue until an elderly lady I assume to be the manager stepped in , I asked to correct my order to regular chips and a rissole which I was told was £5.05, I had given a £20 note and the elderly lady asked if I had the 5p which I gave here, she gave me £13 change, I tried several times to explain I should receive £15 change but could not get through to the elderly lady, we tried starting over where by I was given my £20 back but the elderly lady still couldn’t understand even though the till was displaying the price and change she continued to argue aggressively that she was correct, in the end I left without any food, I would strongly recommend avoiding this chippy if there an elderly lady ther.

Over priced, expensive portion of chips which were hard, bland and stale!! Very disappointed. The portion size of chips at nearly £3 is disgusting!! Far better around in the area like Fairfield Chippy, much better value for money.

Very Dissapointed with the fish and chips which we thought we were having delivered paid £15.00 for 2 opened them up only to find fish phoned up and said there was no chips in with the fish lady told me I only ordered 2 fish I would never of paid £7.50 for just a fish absolutely disgusting the fish wasn't even that nice would never but anything else from finegans again what a rip off

The price to portion ratio is really bad. I noticed that the size of portions are really small. Well prepared food clean inside. Just Can’t be paying them sort of prices in South Wales, Maybe London.

Mixed bag, tried Finnegan's a few times, and the main issue I have is the cost v portion ratio. I was offered a deal with small portion of chips to save money, but I feared there would be more salt and vinegar than chips. Enjoyed the food but it didn't represent value for money.

Lovely meal here. We had cod and chips and my friend had scampi. Fantastic quality with very friendly staff. Fresh, crisp and well cooked. I think all seaside town sit in fish and chip places are slightly expensive but well worth the treat. Very clean place and immaculate toilets. If you could possibly be hungry after this meal then you can get a refill of chips for free. Terrific place.

Best fish and chips you can buy, no doubt about it. You will have to pay the price for higher quality food like this though.

Visited finnegans again and enjoyed again and gill promised me a job and some freebies. ( lol. Not really .) Friendly staff def be calling again.

Walked in cue of people waiting for food to be cooked . Saw the chips and thought they don't looked cooked enough. So walked out . I think £2 50 odd is well over priced for reg chips lol

Nice fish and chips to be fair, kinda pricey but I don't really mind as it was nice. As is to be expected with decent fish, there was a wait for it to be cooked but I'd be more concerned if there wasn't. One negative, the box it came in leaked ink all over my shirt. Please fix up those inky boxes.

Over priced, small portions and plain tasting, nothing special. Battered Sausage was hardly battered.

Only ever been in this place three times: The day it opened, worst chips I've ever tasted. A few years ago, had a pasty which had all the flavour and texture of damp cardboard. Last night, soggiest chips ever, mediocre battered cod, and a large sausage which just tasted like poor quality luncheon meat. There is often a terrible stink of rotten fish which is really obvious at the back of the premises where you walk past from the car park. All in all, avoid this place like the plague.

Used to be a nice chippy , you could always be sure of a nice fresh fish and lovely chips, but over the last couple of years the quality has gone down and the price has gone up .the last time I went there I ended up throwing most of it in the bin,will not go there again.

Chips are under cooked lately and I've had to trow away won't be going there again!
