Despite the good quality of coffee, we were astounded by the rude and unprofessional nature of the staff. Throughout the whole experience, from placing our order to walking out of the café, we felt like an inconvenience. Our server was rude and abrupt and throughout our entire visit the staff complained about their shift. We will not be returning.

Recently stopped for a cuppa and cake. Unfortunately whole experience was a disappointment. Charged £10 for two small drinks and very small pieces of cake, that tasted of sugar and not much else. Made to sit at a sticky table, staring at a brick wall, sucking in diesel fumes. Whilst indifferent staff complained loudly to each other. Live locally but won’t be returning anymore. Avoid unless very thirsty is my advice.

We arrived after a long journey and despite the doors being open and people still eating, they refused to serve as they were ‘closed’. I politely asked if we could at least buy a cake that we could take to the car. The response from the young lady was ‘we are closed’ I asked politely again, if we could at least purchase one the many cakes given people were still eating and drinking. Again she merely repeated her comment. If this the climber of staff, who appear to have no understanding of customer service, then they do not deserve to do well. Terrible

With a relaxed, easygoing vibe the Finca coffee shops are all good places to spend time. The Coffee is expertly and lovingly made and the cakes something special. The craft that goes into the coffee does mean it is not a quick process and if I had a complaint it is that the coffee can sometimes be a little cold. Used to be... but I've had too many consecutively poor coffees. It depends a lot on who serves you, which is all down to quality control - easily fixed I would've thought. I am certain that their espresso delivery is too hot, as my americano drinks have been PIPING hot. The staff are lovely and it is very hard to complain! I don't feel they would actually change the temperature of their espresso machine if I queried it. Call me a coffee snob if you like...! I'd happily return, but it's not nice to keep taking that £2+ gamble only to end up with... another watery and boiling hot coffee.

We nearly gave up or rather my wife did! But persistence paid off and just at the end of the main high street and round a corner we found this jewel in the crown. As soon as we entered the whiff of intense coffee hit our nostrils and we thought, this looks good! The place is shabby-rustic-chic, with a very diverse clientele. They only had four main Toasties on the menu. We both had the toasted sourdough bread with chorizo, cheddar cheese and onion relish, I was in heaven as I love toasted bread stuffed with tasty fillings. Almost immediately after I finished, I ordered another one of the same, just in case the scientific research that says you have to wait 20 minutes before the brain registers satiety (ehm… your tummy is full) kicked in and I was determined not to let that happen! The espressos, one using Colombian beans, the other using Ethiopian beans were so good we had to go back for seconds. My wife described the flavours sensation to me as dancing on her papillae' ehm …taste buds! According to her who is probably into coffee more than I am, she thought this was the best coffee she had ever tasted! We only had one cake to share, I believe it was the salted caramel brownie which was sensational. This is a place where you can easily spend quite a few hours and it makes it hard to want to leave, run by young staff who are efficient, polite and engaging. Definitely not to miss. 5 Plus

The staff were nice and polite and the atmosphere is lovely despite the road work outside. My only thing is that the sandwiches were small and there was only presented with a small side of crisp. We did not fancy any of the desserts. So it was not bad,it is that although it was nice I was hungry after eating the sandwich and a few crisp (no fun of crisp either) and we did not find any dessert that was interesting enough to try. I am just a visitor in Dorchester so I think we might have a different expectation in what we expect when we order sandwiches-lunches .

Finca A elegant cosy coffee hub in a central position of Dorchester, found only by stumbling across it, pleasantly surprised. On initial entrance, not too sure what to do but quickly welcomed with a smile and a good whiff of fresh coffee, a young surgical barista busy bustling in a tiny area all adequately suffice for this tiny cafe, a young cheerful waitress blissfully aware of her surroundings and an older more profound gentleman, finding his paces rather well. Working together seemlessly. Sitting arrangements are quaint, and not too comfy, ironically perfect. No wonder this place is packed, with a nice continuous flow of custom. Music is chilled but the atmospheric echo of conversation really lifts experience of a delicious coffee, well done.

It's not often I find an establishment seemingly faultless but this one was. I was looking for a coffee/ snack and was weighing up the options. I had tried other coffee houses in the town before and was uninspired; Costa was a fairly safe but so mundane. Noticing a sign for Finca It promised quality roasted coffee and great food. Should I stick or twist? I twisted and I'm so glad that I did The staff were friendly, there was a nice ambiance, a courtesy bottle of water welcomed me. But the food and drink made the visit. I had a macchiato which resembled a mini cortado. it was perfect. Smooth, velvety and perfect strength. The toasted chorizo and cheddar sandwich matched its perfection. It's not often I say that about a sandwich, but it was spot on!. just the right balance of ingredients. the bread was good quality and lightly toasted so that the sandwich remained moist while the ingredients inside were heated to the right temperature. A nice bowl of crisps was the perfect accompaniment. Where I live there are many coffee houses but none of them comes near to this one. Shame it's not closer to home!

One is my local, and I love it. But I have to admit, Finca gave me the best flat white in the UK! It really is good here!Nice ambience, simple and rustic decor which is to expected from an independent coffee house. Nothing new or imaginative but that doesn't matter. You come here to meet up with friends over coffee and a cake. Not for the decor. They even have a bearded man behind the machine which made me smile, hipster!Liked the water bottle as I entered, nice touch. And some of the books available to read were great. Graffiti art of the world, I actually had a look while waiting on my friend.Bit of confusion as to is it table service or pay at the till? I thought it was table service but I saw others ordering at the till. Maybe a sign would be good?Cakes looked amazing, small menu which as the food came out looked delicious. Friendly staff and a great feel to the place. One loo which is a bit of a shame, but hey I am being picky.Gluten free, all the usual coffee choices and a warm smile as you enter. Fabulous!

I was excited to try this place after reading all the rave reviews. Popped in for a quick breakfast one Sunday morning and was disappointed to discover they'd run out of bacon rolls the previous day and not crossed it off their menu. Had a chorizo toastie (which to be fair was really delicious) and the famous coffee, which they roast themselves at Finca, was great. There's a nice family feel about the place but it's pretty small and I didn't feel terribly relaxed. Always happier to get coffees in local cafes though so would rather support this place than the Costa down the road!

This place is not only fabulous but it serves amazing coffee and wonderful food. The cakes are delicious and so is the savoury food. It is a quaint and charming place, very homely and extremely friendly. Fresh ground coffee (you can even grind your own!) that is delicious. Well worth a visit.

Had another delicious coffee and my favourite Stilton and chutney toastie. Favourite place in Dorchester.

Great little place with a short but well formed menu. Clearly run by people who care about their produce and customers.

Love this place. I buy my tea just round the corner at the Gilded Teapot and always make sure I pop in Finca for a coffee. Beautifully inhouse roasted coffee, served perfectly. Also check out their light sandwiches for something slightly different for your lunch!

I would come here everyday if I could. The coffee is freshly ground, and smells just as rich as it tastes. The people that are making it are the right kind of friendly and attract a great community of regulars. The food just hits the spots, and if there's room for cake after then even better!
