Cooked exactly how I asked. Friendly staff, huge portions. Proper job! I made my own breakfast which was stunning! (Not your usual fry up but was what I needed!)

Popped in for a takeaway breakfast this morning on my way home from work. The young lady that served me was very welcoming and friendly, the food didn't take long and i have to say it was the best breakfast i've had in a long time. Will defo be going back again.

My self and a couple of close friends decided on having breakfast and didnt know where to go as there is so much choice in Bristol. We decided on Filton feast, the cafe its self was empty and dull needs some colour to liven it up. The menu was quite good but not a lot of options to choose from. I opted for the £6.50 large breakfast 3sausage,3 bacon,2 eggs, black pudding,mushrooms,beans,2 hash browns, tomatoes, fried bread, toast, with the option of tea or coffee from a machine and a wide variety of cold drinks. I had a cappuccino which was not really hot but was the best tasting cappuccino I've ever had. My friends ordered the same as me,when our food arrived it was enormous and I we all cleaned our plates it was by far the best and best breakfast I've had. Since our first trip ive been a regular ever since. The service is always fantastic, warm and polite, very nice people 10 out of 10

Filton Feast Ive seen this Cafe many times but never managed to stop and sample their wares, primarily because its so difficult to get to, being right on the junction of Filton Avenue and Station Road. You have to take a left just after Mackie Road and go around behind the cafe to the parking area at the front. Its a bit complicated and Im sure it puts some people off. However, I was hungry and I hadn’t had a proper Fat Boys Breakfast for the last three months. I’ve been living in Spain where they do offer Full English or some times a Full Irish, but its not always good. . I tend to save myself for when I get home. There isn’t much to look forward to back in dear old Blighty but a good fry up is one of them. So fate took me to the Filton Feast. The venue is a bit spartan though it is probably a typical greasy spoon with lots of Formica, stainless steel counters and sadly a selection of Low end news papers. There were plenty of Empty tables as there was only one other couple eating. The staff were juggling managing the shop and looking after a young girl who was obviously bored. The Menu was on the wall behind the counter and there were three different Full Breakfast options, as well as some other variations. On a board by the side of the counter there were some special items that appear to be a lunchtime menu though I ignored them in favour of a Fry up. When I gave my order I asked for extra Bread and butter but this never materialised and to be fair, they didn’t charge for it so I guess they just didn’t hear me. I decided (as this was my first Full Brekkie in ages) to go for the medium at £5.5o including Tea. I could chose between Tomatoes and Beans and fried bread or Toast and I chose the latter which came already buttered (it may have been Marg) on the side of my plate which i dislike as the toast gets soggy. However, when the meal came it looked reasonable enough. Sausages were the usual commercial brand with little or no flavour and they had been (I think) deep fried. The Bacon tasted surprisingly good given it had been pre-cooked and reheated (it kind of dries out when you do that and the fat is crispy which isn’t too bad). There was a larger than normal portion of Baked beans which filled the plate and gave the impression of a larger meal and the mushrooms had started out as fresh but were soaked in fat as they had been deep fried. The salt, pepper and sauces were on the table but they look like they had been thrown there from a distance, they weren’t arranged neatly, but they all worked. My tea which came from a machine was only lukewarm and they left the tea bag in the Mug, which is fine but they didn’t provide a saucer so I had nowhere to put the soggy ‘T’ bag when i removed it. I was forced to go up to the counter and get a serviette to wrap the bag in. All a bit messy. No one asked me if my food was alright (they missed a trick as i would have ordered more Tea) and the staff seemed preoccupied with domestic chores of keeping the young lady busy and, annoyingly, Sweeping the floor whilst i was eating. Sadly this wasn’t a great Breakfast experience. It shouldn’t be too difficult to serve up a Fried Breakfast. It doesn’t have to be posh or pretentious but you do have to get the basics right.

I ordered some food for collection. It was ready on time when I arrived. The food was delicious. The lamb was so tender and broke apart easily and the mushroom rice was fantastic. I would definitely order from them again and recommend it

Our family has been regular visitors here for over a year. With complex dietary requirements (gluten and dairy free), we can be a bit of a challenge when it comes to food. Recently, there was an unfortunate mix-up with the menu, which prompted us to reach out to the team. The manager responded exceptionally well—handling what was actually a fairly serious issue with great professionalism and care. To make things right and rebuild trust, they generously invited our whole party back for a complimentary meal. This isn’t the first time we’ve encountered issues like this at restaurants, but The Swan truly stood out in how they managed the situation. They went above and beyond. The food was outstanding, and even with the hiccup, we felt incredibly welcome and included—no small feat given our dietary complexities. It’s a real comfort to have a local pub where we feel confident dining. Thank you again to the pub Manager for handling the situation so well and not shunning us away.

We had an amazing Sunday Roast at the Hollybush. Staff were welcoming, helpful and so accommodating for my food needs and our dog. However, the food was amazing and the best meal out we've had in a long time. Just wish we didn't live over 150 miles away, as without doubt we would have returned.
