Don’t bother placing your order unless you’re prepared to cancel and walk out. It won’t arrive in the next hour and probably not logged into the system. If you’re lucky you’ll get your drinks served. No comment on quality of food / drinks. After an hour of waiting and asking a few times about it we didn’t get any and cancelled. Waiter & waitress kept telling us if we ordered it should be coming. No apology or ask what we ordered to rectify the situation. Recommendation to the restaurant, consider closing your business as you don’t seem interested in serving your customers anyways. If anyone after reading reading this review wishes to visit. I would strongly recommend being prepared to leave if your order hasn’t arrived within the first 20 minutes after placing your order. If your drinks don’t arrive in the first 5 minutes, be mentally prepared to fight the good fight but reading other comments, the reward you get for waiting won’t be worth it. We ended up just going to Jollibee down the road after cancelling.

Burnt sisig meal. Soup kalderetang kambing. Soup laing with lots of fresh garlic. Not special pansit that says in the menu special. Swimming pork in sinigang na baboy. The only bit okay is the daing na bangus. Not so friendly staff(maybe tired, idk). I hate leaving restaurants with food leftovers but not in this occasion. Overall; terrible food and experience. Never again and will not recommend.

Visited London with my family as a birthday treat and discovered this gem of a culinary antidote for homesickness. Tucked in between a Lebanese resto and another Filipino restaurant, Lutong Pinoy is a no-frills, down-to-earth, no gimmick oasis for Filipino expats to make them miss less the lupang tinubuan. It is manned by predominantly Ilocano workers and it was a treat because I am. We ordered a bilao full of pork dishes (see picture) aptly called Jeproks on the menu ( meaning Laki sa layaw- ergo, less veggies compared to the meat!) it was advertised as good for 2-3 people but the portions are VERY generous. We had sisig, crispy pata, sinigang and Leche flan as well. The service was quick ( have patience when they’re full- the food is worth the agonising wait), very hospitable and politely casual. Just noticed that they do not have sili. But that act of omission is just trivial compared to what they have on the menu. We’ll be definitely doing our gourmand pilgrimage here each time we have the opportunity to be in the area! Trust me. I’m bitchy with my food because I cook too and I would definitely not mind having them do the hard work. Kudos to the chefs and big virtual hugs to all the staff! Bravo and MABUHEEEYY!🇬🇧🇵🇭

We were made to wait for our order for an hour whilst everyone who came after us were being served. None of the staff bothered to check on us. I politely asked the waiter to follow up on our food and was told, "your food is on the way". 10 minutes had passed, but our food did not arrive. We were then told that they had a "technical difficulty" wherein our order did not move up. We decided to leave and cancel. We still paid for our overpriced soft drinks. Don't bother eating here unless you're prepared for their appalling service.

Glad that Filipino restaurants can be found in London. I really miss eating filipino food, and good thing we found this restaurant. It’s near Earl’s court station and is easily accessible. The interior of the place has this Philippines feel, especially the reception counter that is decorated like a bahay kubo (traditional houses in the Philippines). The food was also delicious and also 100% legit!! We ordered their sisig, which was sizzling hot, we also ordered their dinuguan (i really miss this viand), and also their lechon kawali which did not disappoint. I just a bit disappointed that when we entered the restaurant, we where not greeted with a smile - although i understand she was still young, but in order for us to feel the hospitality of the place, she could’ve smiled while she welcomed us- also when taking our orders. Hope this’ll improve next time. But then again, the food was great!

We ordered 3 different dishes from the Menu; Pakbet, Batangas Lomi and Kare Kare na lechon. Pakbet was the most disappointing one, it looked and tasted like sinigang na gulay! Sorry to say but that order was a waste of food and money, we only had a spoon of it. Batangas Lomi was completely misleading as it was not anywhere close to Batangas Lomi (my partner is from Batangas). It was missing the bola-bola and liver, and the important condiments, like toyo, calamansi and chili. Kare Kare tasted okey but it was also missing the basic but important condiment; the bagoong. The service was very poor, after around 40 minutes our order arrived. The young waitress didn’t have any eye contact with us and our plates were roughly put down on the table. No glasses for water were provided, such a basic need in a restaurant.

We arrive in the place and seated straight away in the table (first table) good for 4 people (we are only 2, my son and I), i was impressed. After few minutes we were asked to move to the next table because a group of 4 needs it. I’m more than happy to do so, of course. The group of 4 was immediately asked for orders like drinks, etc…they were very well entertained and we were left behind. While we are still waiting for somebody to take our order. I decided to call the attention of the server (slim lad) for we are ready to order….. After at least 20 to 30 minutes, the table next to us their food were served and started to enjoy their food and drinks. After 50 mins our order arrived, the ice cubes in our drinks were already melted for the long wait. Then our table is not enough to serve our order (Bilao), so we have to move again to another bigger table to accommodate our order (second table). We started to eat straight away we’re already hungry. I wasn’t impressed with the food to be honest this time compared to the last time, that’s the reason we decided to come back because we enjoyed our food the last time we visited your place. I’m sorry to say that I’m not coming back anymore. The customer service needs improvement. The place is small and over crowded especially with the pandemic situation. The food quality didn’t meet my expectation. Thank you.

As a Filipino eating in a Filipino restaurant, it's hard to truly appreciate they way other folks prepare the meals. I'm used to the way my mom makes it, and therefore the way I make it. So, for me, the food was a bit bland maybe because they are being safe. But I appreciate how clean the place is and how people from different backgrounds go here. My hubby who was not Filipino, enjoyed the food here very much so. He discovered a new favorite which is Bicol Express (it was not spicy enough for me). This place does take out too and the 2GBP rice is a looot.

Right, to be fair, the impression I got was that this restaurant is a product of a family that wants to introduce Filipino food to a London clientele and show Filipino hospitality. And I think they've done that successfully. The food was good, the price was reasonable and the ambiance was cosy. It's the sort of place one would want to host some friends over simple and honest food. The place doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a Jamie Oliver restaurant nor a team trained from a top hospitality school, but some restaurants are just there to serve a meal and not the customer.

Visiting London, I was really looking forward to take my boyfriend and show him traditional Filipino food so before heading home (3 hours away on the train) I decided to take him here. I was hesitant due to the negative experiences I've heard about the restaurant, however I decided to give it a try. We arrived at around 6pm and was seated by a young gentleman straight away. After looking at the menu, a young woman offered to take our orders, not very friendly or smiley but at that moment, it didn't really bother us. Service was prompt and our drinks arrived first followed by the starters. However the young lady served me with lumpia shanghai when I ordered siomai. When I said she got my order wrong she then insisted that I ordered shanghai and not siomai and that she even repeated the order when in fact she didn't?! As if she had the audacity to argue with me when clearly it was her mistake and I think I would know EXACTLY what I ordered. I refused to take the dish as I didn't want to pay for something I didn't ask for in the first place. She didn't even apologise for the mistake she made. Previously working at a restaurant, I know that the customer is always the priority. I would have just accepted it however being treated like that was just wrong. She then came back with the siomai and slammed it on our table. How rude and embarrassing, she couldn't even look us in the eye! You can really tell when someone hates their job. Please hire people with good customer service as it has a big impact on your business. Filipinos are known to be hospitable and friendly however we experienced something completely different during our visit. If you're planning on visiting the restaurant, please look elsewhere to avoid disappointment.

this was to be the last of t a current series of trying various eateries around the earl's court - fulham broadway area and i was determined that we would have the kamayan feast option. this was in no way a disappointment! you are required to pick 4 dishes from a list of 10 options and managed to have one each of fish, chicken, beef & pork. as such is is not an option if you just want to drop in.the thing with the feast is that it is a traditional filipino thing and it's all about getting together, sharing food (and beer! get the red horse) and having fun. Oh, and there is no cutlery! i was particularly intrigued as to how the no cutlery thing would work when it came to eating the soup which, along with rice, veg and salad, comes as a standard part of the meal!bottom line is that this was great fun, enjoyed by our party of 6 and ranked highly among the many places we have eaten in the area.one thing that i always think is a good sign is when you go to a place like this and it is full of native filipinos, and this place was!

We had ordered Sinigang, caldereta and 2 portions of rice as well. So we waited for the rest of our order. After 15 minutes or so i asked when we would get the rest of it to which the server looked very confused. The lady who took the order then confirmed we had ordered more, he apologised and i returned to my table. Another 15 mins go by and still no food. Some meat dishes but lots of grizzle and seems it's all mixed with liver which I hate, they really skimped on the quality. Really disappointed and guilty for taking my boyfriend here who now has a bad stomach. Not a good example of Filipino cooking, would try another restaurant though most seemed to order from the menu. We excitedly made a plan on where and what to eat. There were 2 restaurants beside each other, I chose this resto because of the ambience. When we get to be served our food, I was quite disappointed. Though the pork skin of the crispy pata was crispy, the meat was absolutely tasteless. Whilst the bagoong for the kare kare was not right and the vegetable dish was just bad. I asked the leftovers to be taken away, sadly, I just had to throw it away when I was at home coz I was just not inspired to eat them. I felt really bad for wasting the food and my hard earned money.I say it was really a disappointing meal.My friend told me to eat somewhere else next time.I don't mean to put the restaurant down, but please improve your cooking, i really love the ambience of the resto, it is very Filipino. The restaurant had a large group dining which seemed to be the only concern of the staff. Sadly she didn't discover the this until she had started eating! The dish was replaced but with a minimal apology. My dish, a sizzling pork dish recommended by the waitress, was full of gristle and pretty boring. And the biggest disappointment was that the large group's food looked delicious! The restaurant had a goid ambiance, but that was the only real positive from the evening. We won't be going back.

I used this for my business meetings because it has a good ambiance specially the decorations. You will appreciate the beauty of the Philippines historical roots.Free WiFi. Just ask them.Crunchy chicharon and lechon. ice cold red horse will kick you like a horse!Nice foods and Freshly cooked.... Most of the time the place is busy. Well, need to be patience and book your reservation ahead of time. For those people who keeps on complaining, you need to learn how to wait and stop mocking around.Regards,GTechno

I was here today with friends, we arrived at 13:00 pm, and we are trying to order and the lady said shes not yet ready and it would be busy. And we need to wait for the foods for more than an hour.. If you work in a restaurant you should be nice to the customers, not being rude and explain properly to the customers in a nice and proper way( polite way). And they run out of chicken so they replace pork without any explanation. Just serve the food straight away, so wrong order!!! Not coming back anymore!

Went here a few days ago for a meal. Given the place was not that big and was full so we had to wait for a table. While waiting for a table we asked if we could order so when we get seated we dont have to wait long. 20 minutes passed when we got our table and 30 minutes from getting seated we kept on asking for our food and the lady said it coming. After an hour waiting after being seated we finally got our food. The food was good but not spectacular. It would have been a good experience eating here but the waiting time for the food is long.

booked a table for 7 then were told it would be 20 minutes delay which turned out to be an hour. While the food was good there service is horrible. They only provided complimentary juice for the delay only after our persistent that this is an unacceptable wait. They did not care that they had made us wait.

My daughter and I were staying in a hotel nearby and we discovered this restaurant accidentally when we were looking for a place to have dinner on our first night in London. Having Filipino roots, we were craving for real Filipino food and we had our cravings completely satisfied with kare-kare, pancit canton, fried bangus. On our last night, we had dinner here again, and we feasted on lechon kawali, pinakbet and sinigang. Affordable and delicious comfort food - highly recommended not only to Filipinos, but also to everyone, who wants to try authentic Filipino cuisine.

Came here for dinner before going to work. I was in the front of the queue when the front desk lady keep on skipping on my not even ask what i need. Instead she ask those people next to me in 3 different groups because she knows the people. No justice. Certainly need more staff to accommodate the order. The front desk is always empty of people. The food was nice but certainly need improving on the service...

Went here for lunch and had Bangus which was delicious. My wife had the buffet and she was very happy with the food. Had a halo-halo to finish off. The decoration was simple, the service was fine, and the prices were reasonable. I hope we can return some time soon!

I booked a table for my family for my dad's birthday. I had confirmed the booking via text which is how they contacted me also. But when we arrived got told that they cancelled our booking because we didn't confirm. I had tried to call twice but no one picked up which is why I confirmed via text. They made no attempt to try and get us another table or offered to let us wait. We had travelled an hour and half just for this restaurant. Only to be disappointed by bad business management. The actual booking system comprised of scrap receipt paper with names scribbled down... Not exactly the best system. All in all I'm disappointed with the lack of customer service, I don't even remember hearing an apology for the mix up. No effort to even try and organise another booking or anything. Such a disappointment as I really wanted this place to be something I could tell people about and have somewhere to send people who wanted a good Filipino experience. Bad, bad, bad disappointment!

Nice place. Small and a little dated.Service was ok. Although after we finished no one seemed interested in collecting plates/dishes. They did seem very understaffed considering there was only a few tables in use. Most of the time there wasn't anyone at the front (not sure if they were helping in the kitchen or what..)Food was quite good. Considering it was my first time with Filipino food. There seems to be very few Filipino restaurants in London.

It was good but I would say more average for Filipino standards than anything else. I live with a Filipina and I could say she cooks way better than this restaurant, I guess maybe because I'm spoiled. I do recommend this place even for the price very good. It's a peaceful humble place with nice staff, If I'm in London again I will be going back here for a meal. They have a small buffet or you can order what you wish. I did enjoy my pork adobo just a little too much peppercorn for my likings but I just put them aside.

Appearance internally: Very basic.Toilet: no choice but had to use it. Again very basic and needs a clean. They need to buy a new mirror in the gents and the toilet door. First time to a Filipino restaurant. Starters were decent but the mains were funny lol. Terrible stir fried noodles. The soup was super sour though the prawns were big.Would not come again nor would i suggest you go.

One and the best filipino restaurant in London. There set lunch menu is very tasty and lots of food to choose from. Chicken soup is the most I liked. There is a mixed fruits with shaved ice as a refreshment. Come to this restaurant and try all there different kind of filipino food. The owner of the restaurant are very accomodating and we met a filipino anchor man in the name of Pheps Villanueva from pinoy radio uk and he highly recommended this restaurant to us. He said this is the best filipino restaurant in uk and if he got a visitors from other place he make it sure to brought them here. He will not recommend any other filipino restaurant in uk apart from lutong pinoy mr Villanueva remarks. Try it and enjoy it.

I have been reading Lutong Pinoy's Menu for quite a while now and that made me convince my friend to go. First impression, it was so easy to go past this place as it is right beside another Filipino restaurant, a mistake that I have done in the past actually. Upon arriving, the restaurant was heaving with customers. We managed to get inside but was not seated right away. Nobody told us what to do or where to go. We just stood there and tried to be friendly. The staff were friendly enough but no explanation on how to get a table. I actually had to ask if it was ok to just stand there, sort of in the way while waiting for a table. It's like try to find your own when someone finishes. Luckily my friends are friendly and managed to secure a a table from people who are just finishing their meal. The staff asked if we are ready to order after quite sometime, we understand as it was very busy when we came. A menu was provided upon request. My friends managed to convince me to try the buffet. There was a fish which we all thought was "tuyo" (salty dried fish) on the buffet and I was craving for that so I agreed. It turned out that it wasn't tuyo but a type of sardine. The fried rice on the buffet was nice, the pork dish which I assume was mechado or could be afritada was nice too (I did not ask for the name of the dish as the staff was busy enough). My friend had the oxtail "kare-kare" and she said it was ok. The noodles-chowmein style was a bit of a let down as I've had better. The Halo-Halo was really good. All in all it was not a bad dining experience. We enjoyed our meal and the staff was very helpful. Although I could not say the same for the other diners as we have observed a lady who waited ages to get her order and 2 more people who had the same fate. When their food was served, it looked freshly cooked though so that's not too bad, I guess. Would I come back again? Yes, definitely! And maybe next time try the proper dish on their menu instead of the buffet.

Despite the comments of the last review this establishment is more than capable of serving up a tasty dish or two and it certainly isn't that expensive in terms of what they have on offer. Agreed, they need to improve on their 'Star Rating' but the restaurant benefits from the support of the local Filipino population who are regulars here. In fact, most evenings you will see that it is full with plenty of people using the service. When we called on a Tuesday evening at around 7 pm we got the last available table. There were two of us and we squeezed in near the main door. The food was very nice and served in a friendly and efficient manor. Whilst we were there a group of people were served with a very elaborate platter of seafood on large wooden boards which was quite spectacular and well presented.Like most things in life you get what you pay for and a tenner a head for a good meal is not really what I would call expensive. Worth a try - see what you think! You be the judge.

Stay at home, even the most amateur of home cooks could do better than this, no effort put into presentation, and very very expensive for the quality on offer, worst restaurant I have ever been to. I have no idea how they can even afford to pay the rent in this area of earls court, if ever a restaurant needed gordon ramsay to come in and fix it, then its this. avoid at all costs.

Ok, the décor is rather 80s/90s, but don't let that put you off coming here for a meal. I found the service to be good, the food well prepared and presented and the taste very good

We ordered beef noodle soup and fired rice. The noodle and the soup are alright but the carrot in the soup is ice cold and the beef needed to be sliced smaller. The fried rice tastes very bad and partial cold too! I believe those are pre-made and not enough microwaves! Pretty bad experience! But the services are ok!
