The food was nice. The service was very considered. The coffee is truly awful. Change the beans/machine or whatever the problem is. It's very expensive at 4.25 an espresso which makes it even more disappointing that it's so rank!

The resturant has really gone downhill. Food really bland, expensive, small potions. Soulless, tired dining room with cheap paper table cloths. We had eaten at F&M many times over the years and always enjoyed it. Today was a real shock to see how awful it’s become.

We had such a great time there. Everything was perfect: from the food to the the ambience and the staff that was friendly and professional. I highly recommand this restaurant in London for a typical british meal with locally produced quality food.

The food was very nice, but the service was not what I expected from a place like this. Very rushed never asked if we wanted to see dessert menus but yet others around was. It felt like you had to be of a certain standard if not you were. Brushed off. We were spending the same amount of money as anybody else!

Great location to eat and meet friends. The restaurant has a light and airy feel, the staff are excellent and very attentive. We ate lunch, the food selections and portions were perfect leaving you room to eat dessert.

Loved this restaurant! The food & coffee are great. The staff is professional and quick. The location in the store is quiet and cozy.

A lovely in-house restaurant to have tea and scones and biscuits after a day of shopping at Fortnum and Mason's. The service was excellent. The waiter was friendly, helpful and extremely helpful. The food was excellent as well.

The food was really tasty and good. I would recommend the pork. It also has gluten free options! The service was great and Moussa, the server who attended us, was very kind and helpful. I would 100% recommend

Extremely disappointing given the expectations of a luxury dept store. You have hired loads of young staff - many who you clearly haven't invested adequate training in. I asked 3 staff members to please take my order. The first guy asked me if I wanted the bill. It was clear I had not even ordered yet as there was absolutely nothing on my table !? The second staff said hang on I will get someone else. Then disappeared totally. The third staff member could hardly speak any Engliah and could not understand what I was saying despite being fluent in English. Even when I pointed to items on the menu he couldn't understand. Finally when my order was taken it was apparent at least half the items on the menu were "out of stock". What an absolute joke. Small portions, soggy food and also overpriced. The customer next to me was also upset,,saying it took 20 minutes for his bill to come. Because of this he asked them to take the service charge off. Come on Fortnums, get your act together. This is embarrassing

We really enjoyed our drinks and food. The staff are absolutely great, very helpful and were happy to recommend different wines.

We are visiting from Melbourne Australia and had lunch here on Wed 28th Feb 2024. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting; the staff were tremendously attentive and friendly; and the food was absolutely *divine* (we had the lamb shoulder and pork cutlet with fries, followed by apple pie and custard). Although this may have been a bit more expensive than we usually pay, it was *definitely* worth it and I would recommend this establishment to everyone!

Good food but the service needs refining Fortnum's has always been a favourite for lunch while doing a little shopping, but this was the first time to eat at the Field and not one of the other 'in shop' restaurants. We explained to the waiter when he bought the menu that one of use had a lactose problem, this was not a problem and he said what we could order. A good selection of options and so we ordered first the salmon and then the duck. Order the wine and waited. The food arrived before the drinks even though as it turns out we saw the drinks waiting to be delivered. Salmon looked wonderful and then I noticed the bread had what looked like butter on it: called over the waiter to check what it was and it was instantly taken away, after a few minutes the bread arrived without anything on it, no apology just this one has no butter. The duck arrived for the main course and was almost dropped on the table with the words 'no dairy' and he walked away, Again waited for the second wine to arrive. Overall the food is good, duck a little over cooked, however, the greatest let down was the service for somewhere that was not that busy needs some work. In honestly I think as my friend and I talked about is not through lack of enthusiasm or joy but to do with lack of training. The service lets the food down and it does not equate to nearly £200 in two.

The place is certainly beautiful to look at and the quality food creates the right atmosphere, what ruins everything unfortunately is the staff without any experience. We were brought white bread to accompany the Salmon after 15 minutes, same thing for the coffee so we had to wait further time for the milk. The only thing they were quick about was the bill... and I feel like saying 'at least this'. So summary: super nice place, high quality food but staff absolutely worth seeing again.

The staffs are very kind, and the mood is warm and fancy.

Stopped here for a pre lunch drink, loved the place, staff were lovely and engaging and wine was great too. Will definitely be going back.

The memory is from the service. The welcome and follow up impeccable. Great retreat from the busy shops. Little queuing and a nice plate of food and glass of wine. No upselling either.

I can’t be more thankful for the amazing staff, professional, extremely friendly, and have all the time to help; I did like the starter nor the main course but definitely loved the cake with cream, ended up ordering twice same sitting :D

All we wanted was a cup of tea. Not much to ask in the tea and coffee section. Got seated at a high table with stools. Waited ages expecting someone to give eye contact or come and serve us. Eventually we had to approach someone. Served us quickly and Tea was OK but Sencha wasn't the best. We then had to wait ages for someone again so we could the bill which came to £14.73. No mention of Street Smart donation or the service charge of 12.5% for two cups of tea. We asked for an amended bill as the service was non existent. Check your bills as nearly £15 for 2 x tea is extortionate even it is Fortnum and Masons.

Booked ahead for our lunch so was a smooth operation from reception desk to our seats. Food was good, modern twist on traditional British food. Nice place for a casual lunch.

Restaurante dentro da famosa loja de chá Fortnum & Mason. Já viemos antes, mas desta vez Paramos apenas para um lanche. Ambiente muito agradável. Garçons extremamente educados e eficientes, com boas dicas para quem tem dificuldade em escolher entre as inumeras opcoes no menu. Pedimos chá gelado, excelente, muito refrescante, um dos melhores que já provamos. De entrada pedimos a burrata com caponata, muito bem temperada e o queijo fresco, otima. E de sobremesa o cheesecake com mel, gengibre e frutas vermelhas, ótimo também, diferente de cheesecakes tradicionais e não muito doce. Para finalizar, tomamos um chá quente , sabor tradicional queen anne, mas tem opções para todos os gostos. Recomendamos a passagem para quem estiver visitando a região e, principalmente, a loja. Obs: da ultima vez almoçamos e comemos o nhoque e o risoto, ambos excelentes também.

Excellent food, starter and main were so delicious. Dessert the biggest disappointment (cheesecake half frozen) and the service, very slow and careless.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren hier zum Lunch. Das Essen ist fantastisch im Geschmack und Darbietung. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt. Das Ambiente modern und sauber, gemütlich. Es war alles perfekt für uns. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

Enjoyed the updated take on the Afternoon Tea using local ingredients (Woodland Tea)- I wanted a uniquely British dining experience while visiting London, but was getting tired of the “classic” spread. Their menu was a great lunch and shopping interlude. The dining area has a view of the shopping area, so you can people watch while dining.

Quick pit stop at F&M for lunch, quite busy but food was flavoursome and we were served quickly. We had the roasted cauliflower in a caramalised sauce as well as the scotch eggs, could’ve done with more as a portion but we did enjoy the experience despite it being so busy on a Saturday.

Amazing food, great service. Menu clearly identifies gluten free and vegan options and the gluten free options tasted lovely (some places gluten free tastes like cardboard!).

Everything was so nice. Just a really lovely place to dine.

Good place for afternoon tea or coffee with wide selection of desserts

We stopped by Field by Fortnum's and had a coffee even though they wanted us to eat there. The service was ok but the coffee prices for this bad quality is just too much. We paid £20 for 3 drinks with service charge. This is just too much. Price would be ok if the quality of the coffee is good but unfortunately it was not. They have a nice ambience and that's basically it.

Very interesting main and smaller plates, with seasonal ingredients and fresh fish of the day. Decor seen better days and staff seemed a little rushed, but a great place for a light afternoon meal after shopping

Empfang war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Scones und Tee waren sehr lecker. Service am Tisch könnte aufmerksamer sein :) Preise sind ok aber natürlich der Lage und dem Namen geschuldet erhöht.

Ein idealer Ort für eine Pause inmitten der Stadt oder während dem Shopping. Schön eingerichtet und freundlicher Service. Preis/Leistung völllig in Ordnung. Lediglich etwas laut und stets gegenwärtiger Geruch von Fisch in der Luft.

Slow service, food is nothing spectacular. Not saying it’s bad, the flavors are well combined and the ambiance is nice. Being food the most important thing, it’s overpriced for what it is. Attention from waiters is very good though.

Amazing food at a very good price. Lovely Staff and very modern feel. This has to be the way to go for future dining. Incidentally, quite probably the best chocolate cake I ate in my 49 years. Outstanding. Love it. Amazing.

Loved it. Had booked in for a late lunch for 2, finished our mad dash Christmas shopping in F&M faster than expected (it was packed) so we asked if we could be seated earlier and they obliged the change in time. Food was divine and affordable, very hard to do anywhere in places like this. The black garlic butter and bread starter = perfection. The daily special pork belly with cabbage and gooseberries, perfectly cooked and just enough. Portion sizes were normal servings, which was fabulous since there wasn’t any food waste and we had enough food to satisfy us. Flavourful. Side of kale and thrice cooked chips (comfort food) very good. All served up on classic F&M plates. Tables were far enough apart to actually have a conversation. Setting high enough not to hear the shopper chatter below. Service was impeccable, think we had like 4 people brining stuff, cleared as we finished. Well run place.

The afternoon tea here is legit, my wife and I loved it. Although it’s not your traditional afternoon tea what they serve is quite delicious and take you on a little journey. Also the the staff is very friendly & attentive. They definitely helped made this more enjoyable.

Its an okayish restaurant for a quick bite after you're done shopping in Fortnum & Mason. The food and service is okay though portion size is small. They can do better in terms of adding some more flavour to the dishes and having some additions to the menu.

Oh my favourite store, have been going to Fortnum & Mason for many years. We were hungry and wanted just to sit enjoy a great lunch and also take in and enjoy the atmosphere of Fortnum while other go about there day. Service is really professional staff are really on the ball and it’s really a delight to have lunch here. We went for a hummus to start then Welsh rabbit and tomato on toast with anchovies and everything was just amazing this was washed down with a glass of Fortnum English sparkling wine truly a delight. All in all a great experience and will look forward to going back.

Really friendly staff and service. Nice spot to stop by for a short break with some afternoon tea, coffee, scones, or even some freshly squeezed juices that won’t break the bank.

Summary: not worth the cost and I expect a lot better from this store. Longer version: Stopped by for a quick bite to eat and drink during early afternoon service. Took a long time to be seated and then forgotten about for a long time. Eventually a very nice person served me and my tea and scones came very quickly. The scones were steaming hot so I expect had been heated in the microwave or just out of the oven - regardless they were far too hot. The clotted cream was rock hard and a very small serving considering you had two scones. Once the scones had cooled enough to eat I have to say they really didn’t taste of much. I was seated at a high table on a stool which was excruciatingly uncomfortable, managed to find a more comfortable one myself. After finishing my food and drink waited forever again for someone to notice me for the bill. Toilets were small but pleasant. If I had received this somewhere like Patisserie Valerie I wouldn’t be surprised but this was over £15 at Fortnum and Mason and I really do expect better. Pop to Carnaby street region instead is my suggestion or Cafe Royal.

Hidden gem of London. I always make a point of grabbing a casual lunch here when in town. Great service and exceptional food.

Delicious snacks and variety of teas

Very poor standard of food for the high prices. Service terrible waitress forgot my order. The space is also quite dark with low ceilings, at the back of the shop. Definitely catered to extract as much cash as possible out of tourists (much like the rest of Fortnum’s)

Don’t come if you want the famous Fortnams scones. Service was not good and our waitress unfortunately had no knowledge about the menu. But the worst part was the manager. He was so incredibly rude. When we inquired as to why the scones are different- he took it personally and was very rude.

Feels like the place is mostly catering to tourists. Come if u want nice photos, don’t come if u want afternoon teas.

Excellent food and absolutely outstanding service.

Disappointing food. Risotto way over salty and indifference of service staff to this flaw. Perhaps, with a new name standards have dropped! Still, the tea was divine!

The food was okay but the service was woeful. The drinks took a ridiculous time to arrive after being chased twice and, after the order had to be changed due to one meal being unavailable, they brought the wrong vegetables. These were returned to us because they said that the kitchen staff had gone home. When the wine was poured, a significant amount ended up on the table. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was any apology but the staff obviously had has no training at all and no common sense. To make matters worse, the6 came ove4 with a credit card reader where the6 had already added the discretionary service charge of 12.5% added. The food may be sustainable but the restaurant isn’t!

Fanstastic lunch at Field. Creative and tasty dishes. My pork belly was exquisite and a huge portion. Staff were incredibly friendly and lovely, as always at Fortnums. Everything was perfect.
