Absolutely brilliant service, breakfast is plentiful, Molly and Dean make you feel very welcome and they always make time to chat with you no matter how busy they are. We have now made going for breakfast on a Friday a regular thing, looking forward to catching up with Molly.

What a absolutely brilliant morning at breakfast today, it was great to see so many old and new faces. we meet every month for Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast club, and are always made welcome by all the staff,

6 of us came over to have a Sunday lunch and it didn't disappoint. 5 of us had the Carvery and 1 had a burger, the Carvery selection was great had most of it. Very tasty too. The Staff that served and helped us was Dane on the bar he is fab with people, Leah and Katie were also very tentive. Matty was very pleasant too.. Great Staff, great food, great day. Thank you all.

Had a lovely meal with the family today at The Ferry. Food was good and quick but the service from Caryn, Molly and Erin was fantastic. Will definitely return.

Great breakfast options with plenty of cooked items to choose from + if you could manage it you can refill your plate! We also had toast, jam & tea, yet again, we could've "topped up" if we weren't already so full. Very impressed with the fact one of the employees (Karen) had a lengthy chat with us about the meal and we both felt she was genuinely interested and not doing it because it was her job. We were also impressed with the breakfast bun option basically either bacon and egg as a filling or sausage and egg both in a brioche bun. Price was very competitive against other establishments serving a similar menu which are considerably more expensive. We shall certainly return. Dave & Brenda

Dean and his team were amazing on Christmas Day. Their hard work and friendliness made the whole meal fantastic. Food was top quality and the servings plentiful, quick to be served and not left waiting for anything. Will definitely be going again. Thanks for such a great Christmas Day dinner!

Here on holiday. Thought this pub looked good with lots of choice. Our teenage boys were keen to have the stone bake pizza. Arrived at 7.05 for a 7.20 table and was allowed to sit and order immediately. My husband and I chose the carvery, but as we wanted to all eat together, we waited until our boys pizzas arrived. They eventually arrived at 8.10, despite being told half an hour earlier that they'd be 10 mjnutes. We watched lots of pizzas be collected by uber eats and we were left waiting with no explanation or apologies. When we went to collect our carvery, things were being put away. We were told the kitchen shuts at 8pm. We were never told this earlier. What was left was minimal, dry and cold. The veg was over cooked and mushy. When we went to pay af the end, we told them how disappointed we were and he apologised, but I don't think he really cared. They clearly make their money from take aways and football fans in the bar and we were clearly not a priority. Don't bother eating here. Order via uber instead.

It's a really good place for a quiet lunch with friends and family, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is cooked perfectly. We'll be going back soon.

Had a really nice roast dinner! Obviously a large. Great selection of meat which all taste great. The roast potatoes are top notch. I wish I could actually eat all the mountain of food I want to get but unfortunately my stomach just aint big enough which is gutting because it's really nice. The staff are friendly, welcoming and great to talk to. Really good price and the fact there is a pizza oven is great. The atmosphere is light and friendly. Matty is a pure legend. Had a really good crack with him when I was there!

Lovely Sunday carvery friendly and attentive staff good value for money. What's not to like? Quick service but not losing quality of the food . Will definitely be back. Didn't get his name but the young man waiting tables was so lovely kept checking in and greeted us with a smile.

We had a good evening here, the staff are excellent and to be credited, the app based ordering is rubbish and to be avoided, go to the bar. The pizza and carvery are great, the other food is a bit more so so, but the service is good and makes up for some of this. Good value too, especially when you go in the week.

Absolutely beautiful morning in the ferry! Went in for breakfast before work, the food was beautiful, the staff were absolutely amazing. There was a lad called Jordan, and a lad called Tom and they were both lovely, both went out of their way to make our visit extra enjoyable. There was also a girl called Molly, she so sweet and professional, she made sure to ask if we had any allergies and just made our visit all the more lovely ❤️ don't ever let that girl go! sun was beaming in, beautiful views, music was brilliant and we just had a lovely morning. Highly recommend, all you can eat for just £5.99 👍

O.K .Ish Staff seem to use this place as a social hub for themselves. As a customer you feel second best! Management please note.

Absolutely amazing Christmas dinner at the ferry staff were welcoming and very friendly. They were carm under pressure and the food was amazing 10 out of 10. There were no long waits and got us seated before are time as we arrived early.

We are a group of Riding for the Disabled volunteers & we chose to have our end of term lunch at The Ferry . We were made welcome on arrival & shown to our table. The carvery was excellent with a choice of 3 meats & a lovely selection of vegetables all cooked perfectly. Everyone cleared their plates with some leaving room for delicious desserts. We shall certainly be back.

Sometimes I can't understand the negative reviews given by members of the public about the Ferry hotel. I have been a patron for a number of years and I can't bring to mind any complaints. My last visit ,only a couple of days ago, I had a carvery that, as usual, was impeccable but was most impressive was the welcoming smile of Tom who made me feel I was no trouble. It's a fading thing nowadays. Left, as usual, more than full but with a lovely wave from Tom and Laura. Maybe the fault might lie with the customer rather than the provider. It's only my opinion but I have never been let down.

Ordered a takeaway on the app as they had a deal on 40% off Ordered the food for 8:45pm I arrived at that time to be told that the kitchen closed at 8pm So a 45 minute round trip to collect some food for me and they tell me when I get there Then to further my disappointment this joke of a man called George, looked like some version of a microwave technician dressed as a chef came out and started laughing about the whole thing, when I told him how much I had travelled he found it funny Spoke to someone at head office who said We actually overpaid you on the refund by 3p and we consider this material closed Really ???? Avoid this joke of an establishment Horrendous.

I went with my two boys for tea. The food was lovely, all fresh and tasty. The service was 10/10. Molly was so friendly, really welcoming and chatty. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff at The Ferry for such a lovely meal, today. We were greeted in such a warm, friendly manner, and the staff member made us feel relaxed and welcome. All our meals were freshly prepared, and were hot and full of flavour. It was such a treat to enjoy a meal with no washing up involved. Once lockdown is over we will be happy to return.

From high standing a few years ago with a brilliant compliment of positive staff and a simple but effective menu now is the complete opposite with silly pizza vs carvery gimik and it seems to even make the staff cringe.

Después de leer algunas críticas negativas pasadas y luego algunas más positivas, pensamos en intentarlo. Solo queríamos un almuerzo decente el domingo. Entramos por la puerta principal a la hora reservada, el personal nos dijo que esperáramos afuera debido a COVID, lo cual está bien, luego nos llevaron a un pub casi vacío y nos sentamos. Nos dieron una hoja de verificación para pedir nuestro asador y bebidas. La camarera llegó un tiempo después y tomó el papel, vino directamente con la máquina de tarjetas para el pago. Pedimos una coca-cola y una limonada, ambas planas. Nunca he visto una burbuja. Algún tiempo después salió la comida y estaba mal, incluso con una hoja con cada elemento claramente marcado para cada plato, todavía no estaba bien. Habían mezclado cosas en los platos, las recogieron y rasparon e intercambiaron cosas entre los platos. Luego trajeron el dobladillo con salsa que goteaba claramente del raspado. Y he visto atropellamientos mejor presentados. Fue simplemente tirado en el plato. Les informamos que las bebidas estaban planas, dijeron que podría ser el gas, cuando trajeron los reemplazos estaban igual de planas. Entonces preguntamos nuevamente por las bebidas, esta vez con quien creemos que pudo haber sido el gerente, trajo un tercer reemplazo y una vez más fue plano. La comida en sí era mucho menor que el promedio, un plato estaba cubierto con lo que el menú llamaba zanahorias naranjas, el relleno estaba tan cocido que parecía como si estuviera despertando Blackpool Rock, estaba tan crujiente. Para un negocio que parecía muy estricto con las regulaciones de COVID, no le importaba a una de las jóvenes mujeres del personal que o no usaba su máscara, o estaba debajo de su barbilla o estaba medio puesta, la cebada cubría su boca. Así que, en general, la comida fue extremadamente decepcionante, el servicio fue aún peor. Así que la reciente revisión positiva claramente ha sido realizada por un miembro del personal y sus familias o algo así. Definitivamente no recomendaríamos este lugar.
