We come here quite often and always have a lovely meal. The staff are friendly and pleasant and we always recommend here to family and friends.

Decent ale and the best pizza I’ve had for a long time and great value for £8.99 each on a Thursday. Will deffo be going back.

Lovely Sunday carvery friendly and attentive staff good value for money. What's not to like? Quick service but not losing quality of the food . Will definitely be back. Didn't get his name but the young man waiting tables was so lovely kept checking in and greeted us with a smile.

We had a good evening here, the staff are excellent and to be credited, the app based ordering is rubbish and to be avoided, go to the bar. The pizza and carvery are great, the other food is a bit more so so, but the service is good and makes up for some of this. Good value too, especially when you go in the week.

Absolutely beautiful morning in the ferry! Went in for breakfast before work, the food was beautiful, the staff were absolutely amazing. There was a lad called Jordan, and a lad called Tom and they were both lovely, both went out of their way to make our visit extra enjoyable. There was also a girl called Molly, she so sweet and professional, she made sure to ask if we had any allergies and just made our visit all the more lovely ❤️ don't ever let that girl go! sun was beaming in, beautiful views, music was brilliant and we just had a lovely morning. Highly recommend, all you can eat for just £5.99 👍

O.K .Ish Staff seem to use this place as a social hub for themselves. As a customer you feel second best! Management please note.

Absolutely amazing Christmas dinner at the ferry staff were welcoming and very friendly. They were carm under pressure and the food was amazing 10 out of 10. There were no long waits and got us seated before are time as we arrived early.

We are a group of Riding for the Disabled volunteers & we chose to have our end of term lunch at The Ferry . We were made welcome on arrival & shown to our table. The carvery was excellent with a choice of 3 meats & a lovely selection of vegetables all cooked perfectly. Everyone cleared their plates with some leaving room for delicious desserts. We shall certainly be back.

Sometimes I can't understand the negative reviews given by members of the public about the Ferry hotel. I have been a patron for a number of years and I can't bring to mind any complaints. My last visit ,only a couple of days ago, I had a carvery that, as usual, was impeccable but was most impressive was the welcoming smile of Tom who made me feel I was no trouble. It's a fading thing nowadays. Left, as usual, more than full but with a lovely wave from Tom and Laura. Maybe the fault might lie with the customer rather than the provider. It's only my opinion but I have never been let down.

Ordered a takeaway on the app as they had a deal on 40% off Ordered the food for 8:45pm I arrived at that time to be told that the kitchen closed at 8pm So a 45 minute round trip to collect some food for me and they tell me when I get there Then to further my disappointment this joke of a man called George, looked like some version of a microwave technician dressed as a chef came out and started laughing about the whole thing, when I told him how much I had travelled he found it funny Spoke to someone at head office who said We actually overpaid you on the refund by 3p and we consider this material closed Really ???? Avoid this joke of an establishment Horrendous.

I went with my two boys for tea. The food was lovely, all fresh and tasty. The service was 10/10. Molly was so friendly, really welcoming and chatty. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff at The Ferry for such a lovely meal, today. We were greeted in such a warm, friendly manner, and the staff member made us feel relaxed and welcome. All our meals were freshly prepared, and were hot and full of flavour. It was such a treat to enjoy a meal with no washing up involved. Once lockdown is over we will be happy to return.

From high standing a few years ago with a brilliant compliment of positive staff and a simple but effective menu now is the complete opposite with silly pizza vs carvery gimik and it seems to even make the staff cringe.

Después de leer algunas críticas negativas pasadas y luego algunas más positivas, pensamos en intentarlo. Solo queríamos un almuerzo decente el domingo. Entramos por la puerta principal a la hora reservada, el personal nos dijo que esperáramos afuera debido a COVID, lo cual está bien, luego nos llevaron a un pub casi vacío y nos sentamos. Nos dieron una hoja de verificación para pedir nuestro asador y bebidas. La camarera llegó un tiempo después y tomó el papel, vino directamente con la máquina de tarjetas para el pago. Pedimos una coca-cola y una limonada, ambas planas. Nunca he visto una burbuja. Algún tiempo después salió la comida y estaba mal, incluso con una hoja con cada elemento claramente marcado para cada plato, todavía no estaba bien. Habían mezclado cosas en los platos, las recogieron y rasparon e intercambiaron cosas entre los platos. Luego trajeron el dobladillo con salsa que goteaba claramente del raspado. Y he visto atropellamientos mejor presentados. Fue simplemente tirado en el plato. Les informamos que las bebidas estaban planas, dijeron que podría ser el gas, cuando trajeron los reemplazos estaban igual de planas. Entonces preguntamos nuevamente por las bebidas, esta vez con quien creemos que pudo haber sido el gerente, trajo un tercer reemplazo y una vez más fue plano. La comida en sí era mucho menor que el promedio, un plato estaba cubierto con lo que el menú llamaba zanahorias naranjas, el relleno estaba tan cocido que parecía como si estuviera despertando Blackpool Rock, estaba tan crujiente. Para un negocio que parecía muy estricto con las regulaciones de COVID, no le importaba a una de las jóvenes mujeres del personal que o no usaba su máscara, o estaba debajo de su barbilla o estaba medio puesta, la cebada cubría su boca. Así que, en general, la comida fue extremadamente decepcionante, el servicio fue aún peor. Así que la reciente revisión positiva claramente ha sido realizada por un miembro del personal y sus familias o algo así. Definitivamente no recomendaríamos este lugar.

Fui hoy al ferry y me senté afuera con mi hijo pequeño, el banco estaba roto y tembloroso, el hombre fue tan grosero que supervisa o administra el lugar, te habla como tu estúpido y como tu grueso! ¡No hay cubiertos ni servilletas con mi pedido de comida hecho para esperar, hecho para pedir todo el tiempo para recordar! ¡El distanciamiento social es bueno pero el hombre es tan impactante que es irreal! No es necesario ser descortés y no complaciente

El nuevo gerente parece haber tenido un impacto muy positivo en el Ferry. No he visitado en meses, a pesar de vivir cerca, ya que los estándares se habían deslizado mucho. Durante el encierro me detuve para tomar una copa y quedé impresionado por el distanciamiento social y las medidas de seguridad vigentes, por lo que decidí llevar a la familia a comer durante el plan de comida para ayudar. Tuvimos una visita realmente positiva, la hemos visitado dos veces desde que salimos del encierro, ¿cómo no con sus precios y amabilidad? ! el personal es siempre tan encantador y amable, siempre hace todo lo posible y realmente administra bien el lugar para garantizar que sea lo más seguro posible. Las pizzas estaban deliciosas la primera vez y el asador es encantador, barato y alegre. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? ! ! ¡El ferry realmente ha cambiado desde la nueva administración!

Estaba visitando a mi madre en Walney y decidimos ir aquí para un asador. Fue nuestra primera salida a comer desde el cierre y quedamos muy impresionados con el servicio. A pesar de seguir encontrando nuevas pautas y reglas, TODO el personal fue un placer y nuestro servicio fue excepcional. Hubo una espera, como se puede imaginar, un domingo por la noche, sin embargo, el gerente fue muy servicial y siguió controlando cómo estábamos. El personal del bar fue amable y servicial a pesar de la cantidad de clientes e incluso me cambió una estación de pago porque no podía llegar a lo que se había configurado para el distanciamiento social. ¡Un agradecimiento muy especial para Tom en el asador que fue muy servicial y sirvió un asador a pesar de mis molestas peticiones! Muy bien hecho a todos, soy de Birmingham e incluso si mi madre no viviera en Walney, ¡todavía vendría a ustedes para un asador! ! Me emocionó verlos tan ocupados y creo que todos ustedes demostraron que el trabajo en equipo hace que el sueño funcione. ! Visité el domingo a las 5 pm con mi hija y mis nietos. Primera visita desde la reapertura y estuvo ocupado. El personal fue cálido, amable y acogedor y trabajó muy duro para garantizar que se cumplieran las nuevas medidas que habían tenido que introducir (estas causaron un par de problemas menores pero se trataron de manera eficiente). La comida era excelente, muy caliente y muy sabrosa. Los postres eran generosos y deliciosos. El servicio tarda un poco más con las nuevas reglas, pero todo estaba impecable y nos sentimos seguros durante nuestra visita. Muy recomendable.

I have been coming to the Ferry for many years and the carvery became horrendous. But this last year new management and staff have transformed it back to exceptionally good. Well worth a visit now.

We called into this pub just for a few beers as we had a table booked just up the road at the king Alfred and I’m pleased it was just a few as place was freezing even though weather was atrocious staff was friendly and helpful but I don’t think we would rush back in a hurry

This place looks out over the water right by the bridge across to the massive BAA systems building which is quite impressive, we where here at the Ferry on Tuesday for lunch, I had the carvery and my wife had a meat-feast pizza, they where both very good and great value too, the service was friendly and we where well looked after, will defiantly be using this Pub more often even though it is a bit of a drive for us.

Went for a Sunday carvery and opted for the large, no need as the regular would have more than sufficed. All tasty and well priced.Good point the young lad carving was uber polite. Bad point there was only one lass serving which meant had to wait quite a while, all the tongs for veg are too hot to touch. Couple of simple fixes will elevate this spot

Came in here on a Monday Lunch time with a small group, we were well looked after by the staff and nothing was too much trouble, the food was really good and was enjoyed by all, very nice restaurant.

De vacaciones cerca de allí y antes de irnos, pensamos que sería bueno tener un asador a mitad de semana, así que compramos el cupón de Groupon. Llegué a tiempo, después de haber reservado el día anterior, me dijeron que solo quedaba un pequeño trozo de carne seca en el asador. Luego nos dijeron que solo podíamos pedir ciertos artículos del menú. Terminamos sentados en un pub muy frío y poco acogedor comiendo una hamburguesa que no queríamos. Debería haber ido a McDonald's. Para agregar insulto a la lesión, el personal no tiene idea de qué era un cupón de Groupon y dijo que había reducido nuestra factura en 6 y quería que pagáramos la diferencia. Fue la peor experiencia de comida que he tenido en muchos años (y como una persona que maneja 50 k millas por año como mucho) arruinó esa parte de nuestro tiempo fuera.

Popped in for a quick bite today and thought I try a pizza, pleased I did really good with a nice thin crust just the way I like it.
