Rang ahead to check if ceoliac catered for and were reassured fully ceoliac compliant Travelled to Ferry Boat inn only to be told no ceoliac options available nothing guaranteed Ceoliac safe Vegan option ordered was not available either Early in day on weekend so would expect fully stocked as very busy every weekend unfortunately guests I had invited who had travelled to meet me were let down Staff were defensive and said, obviously, if the fryer breaks down, we have to use the second fryer that we normally use for coeliac food?

Nice pub on the river serving a good variety of food. Staff were friendly and helpful when engaged. Beef and venison pie definitely a recommendation!

One of the worst Sunday Lunches ever. Beef that tasted metallic, vegetables baked to death, gelatinous gravy, and a "venison pie" that might have been taken from a can of dog food. Overpriced, humdrum, terrible. Don't waste your money.

It’s the only place where I’ve bought a Sunday dinner and it’s so bad I’ve left the lot. Nobody asked me why I hadn’t eaten the food which tells me they only want your money. Another thing which shocked me is that people queued up to buy a drink. I’ve never in my 60 years seen people queue up for a drink! The food is not fresh and I wouldn’t recommend it. The fish and chips are not cooked fresh! Positives are it’s a lovely pub with lovely gardens.

Sunday lunch for 2 people . I had the Fathers Day special - short rib beef with pig in blanket . Serving was huge with lots of veg and unlimited roasties and Yorkshire puddings. Drinks menu extensive . Service was efficient and polite . Excellent value.

I'm not a 'reviewer' really, but wanted to highlight our experience here - it's a local pub, but stood out to me... My friend and I popped in on Wednesday after a long dog walk for a quick drink, but ended up staying for a pub quiz...the team here are THE BEST! All so friendly, professional, and literally awesome at what they do. The Quiz Master was absolutely great (and hilarious), and the two Bartenders were super helpful and kind. Your guest service is outstanding. Apart from a small Thursday hangover, I'm so glad I visited for the first time - you're now my fave local.

Lovely place for cozy dinner, yummy new seasonal menu! Also live their roast dinners. Can't wait for summer to sit in their beautiful garden sipping cocktails! Definitely recommend! Staff is super friendly!

Service was shocking. Incorrect food order, double charging for drinks and when pointed out we were told to “speak the manager, she’s over there innit”. Weird hybrid pulled pork sausage roll thing was barely edible and sausages (nuked to the point of being weaponised) and mash with the texture of reheated regurgitated wallpaper paste completed the grim experience.

This pub is great. The location, car park, bus routes. They have a 2 or 3 course meal deal! The 3 cheese mushroom bruschetta was way too cheesy, plus cream. The taste was great but not so much cheese needed. The prawn and calamari could be better quality (I wasn’t too keen on it, deep fried). Fish and chips always a good choice, however if u don’t eat peas then why not offer salad? Not salad instead of chips (didn’t make sense). It was a great evening catching up with a friend and I’ll be back soon x

Booked a table for 4 for a work trip. Arrived early and were still able to sit at our reserved table - my name on a mini blackboard was a nice touch. Very good service from two servers - both of whom were friendly and efficient. The food was good - I particularly enjoyed my simple but very tasty mushrooms on bruschetta and my colleagues enjoyed seafood starters.
