I'm not a 'reviewer' really, but wanted to highlight our experience here - it's a local pub, but stood out to me... My friend and I popped in on Wednesday after a long dog walk for a quick drink, but ended up staying for a pub quiz...the team here are THE BEST! All so friendly, professional, and literally awesome at what they do. The Quiz Master was absolutely great (and hilarious), and the two Bartenders were super helpful and kind. Your guest service is outstanding. Apart from a small Thursday hangover, I'm so glad I visited for the first time - you're now my fave local.

Lovely place for cozy dinner, yummy new seasonal menu! Also live their roast dinners. Can't wait for summer to sit in their beautiful garden sipping cocktails! Definitely recommend! Staff is super friendly!

Service was shocking. Incorrect food order, double charging for drinks and when pointed out we were told to “speak the manager, she’s over there innit”. Weird hybrid pulled pork sausage roll thing was barely edible and sausages (nuked to the point of being weaponised) and mash with the texture of reheated regurgitated wallpaper paste completed the grim experience.

This pub is great. The location, car park, bus routes. They have a 2 or 3 course meal deal! The 3 cheese mushroom bruschetta was way too cheesy, plus cream. The taste was great but not so much cheese needed. The prawn and calamari could be better quality (I wasn’t too keen on it, deep fried). Fish and chips always a good choice, however if u don’t eat peas then why not offer salad? Not salad instead of chips (didn’t make sense). It was a great evening catching up with a friend and I’ll be back soon x

Booked a table for 4 for a work trip. Arrived early and were still able to sit at our reserved table - my name on a mini blackboard was a nice touch. Very good service from two servers - both of whom were friendly and efficient. My daughter and I are fans of the Ferryboat Inn and it was lovely to return after a long, enforced absence!The garden is spacious, has lovely riverside views ; perfect on a sunny day.We also like the fact that it is baby friendly; plenty of room for my granddaughter's pram.We really enjoyed our lunch ; my vegan tart with salad was delicious. I keep coming back to this place because its location next to the Wetlands and its beer garden are beautiful. It’s just such a crying shame the food is so terrible. I’ve tried ordering food three times now and everything I have eaten is completely disgusting. On Sunday I ordered a burger, thinking it almost impossible to do badly. I was wrong - the top bun was both stale and burnt, the bottom bun was wet, the burger was gristly and tough, and the American cheese was somehow grainy and pasty. Even the chips were terrible. The whole thing was inedible, I am not exaggerating when I say it is the worst burger I have ever attempted to eat. I have had similar experiences in the past with a ‘superfood salad’ (some limp lettuce smothered in sugary sauce) and a pie (frozen in the middle).The staff are friendly and doing their best but the whole operation is chaotic and the place desperately needs new management so they can get a decent kitchen, a reduced menu and a better service offer.I highly recommend this place for a leisurely branded pint on a sunny day, but anyone wanting to eat, enjoy a mixed drink, or sit inside should go elsewhere.

I visited the FBI yesterday afternoon Wednesday 14 April 2021 with three friends. (It's a hostelry I've patronised many times over the past forty years and always had a pleasant experience.) The 'garden' was well set out with good spacing between tables. The beer was good. The chips were good. The coffee was good. HOWEVER it was cold, cold, cold. I could only see two 'patio' heaters, one of which was not on when we entered. (We were told by a waiter it wasn't working, but he didn't seem too bothered about it.) After a while we managed to move to a table next to the one working heater, but it gave out about as much heat as a cigarette lighter. If the FBI expect customers to sit outside on a very chilly April afternoon/evening, surely they could and should provide adequate heating? My other gripe is the service. It took about twenty minutes to secure the services of a waiter and then a further considerable wait for the order to arrive. (I blame not the young staff who seemed to be busily doing their best.) The management need to either increase the number of staff or improve the systems. I'm sorry to make these 'complaints' because the FBI is an establishment I have great nostalgic affection for and on the whole my visit yesterday was enjoyable. But it would have been much more enjoyable with adequate heating and better service. And perhaps today I wouldn't have a cold!

No hace falta decir que ella no estaba impresionada y me acusó de organizar todo para pasar directamente al postre.De todos modos, para mi desgracia, el triple no estaba disponible debido a la falta de carne en stock. Sin dejar de lado este evidente y pesado revés, volví a solicitar el triple, pero en cambio con 2 xPork y 1 xTurkey. Arriesgado, lo sé. El adolescente tardío en la caja me miró con horror ya que no había ningún botón fuera de pista que pudiera presionar para acomodar esta petición inverosímil.Después de una conversación detallada con el gerente para comprender la logística, me dijeron que este tipo de orden no se podía facilitar. Quizás la proporción de carne de cerdo a pavo según mi solicitud desencadenaría un agente durmiente ruso contenido dentro de las paredes del pub y lo estaban guardando para cuando el clima político se ponga demasiado caliente. Independientemente, era un asunto serio y uno que no podía pasarse por alto. Me fui con un recibo medio vacío que mostraba nada más que un asado de cerdo chamuscado.A pesar de mi molestia y la nueva intriga de lo que realmente sucede si pones 2 xPorks junto a 1 xTurkey en un plato, me mudé a mi mesa.Desafortunadamente, esto continuó cuando apareció mi asado. A pesar de sus buenas críticas, mi asado se parecía a los que solía cocinar mi abuela cuando todavía negaba que era demasiado mayor y debería dejar que mi madre se hiciera cargo. Al final, la obligaron a ir a una casa y le dieron un juego de cocina para niños de Argos para permitir que su terrible cocina continuara indefinidamente.Las zanahorias estaban envejecidas y poco cocidas, cada una de las cuales se parecía a la cara de la abuela Willow, lo cual era nada menos que alarmante. El resto de las verduras hizo lo mismo. El brócoli parecía moribundo y triste, como si un conejo mascota hubiera tomado un mordisco y se hubiera movido hacia la cerca de metal para saborearlo. El repollo estaba empapado y sin vida, ocupando un lugar destacado en el medio del plato, pero parecía una pila de pañuelos húmedos usados. El resto de la comida se inundó con salsa caliente para ocultar la verdadera identidad de cada artículo. Fue este detalle el que me permitió terminar mi comida y salir rápidamente.

Cenamos carne asada, así como pescado y patatas fritas. El asado fue una comida muy normal, la carne de res sobre cocida, las zanahorias poco cocidas y, en general, no hay nada que destacar. Las patatas asadas eran lo mejor. El pescado y las patatas fritas se veía mucho mejor y me dijeron que estaba bien. El entorno es la razón por la que vas aquí, glorioso en el río en el sol brilla. El personal era encantador, ¡aunque intentaron servirnos medio spritz de aperol!
