Ferrari's cafe in Peterborough

It has closed down don’t waste your time going to this cafe I will remember next time to check cafe are still in business by telephoning prior to travelling to save myself time and expense

Just ordered from the Foodhub app, said 1 hr 20, we were waiting just under 2 hours Only half the food turned up, fried bread burned through the plastic container Will never be ordering again

Hi. I have been to ferraries a number of times and the food and service is excellent.good Value for money and would recommend to anyone. Great place to go.

Very very bad. Worst place i’ve ever been too. Foul mouthed staff. Horrid smell in the air. Customer came in to pick an order up and was asked to fetch some rolls from the Co-op to fulfil their order! Food was so greasy i kept some back in case i need some grease for some machinery. Tomato sauce tasted god awful. Bacon and egg cremated rather than cooked. Staff cooking looked unhygienic. Chef ( i use the term loosely, more like a bloke she hired who happened to need a job) was coughing over food. Sitting at the tables listening to woman serving using bad language to other customers. Unbelievable! Also showing films on a TV. Do they have a license for this? Sooner it shuts the better. Food bad, staff worse, place: shut it down! What a come down from what it used to be. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Overcooked, greasy, muck. Will not be going back. Some tables gone and a sofa in its place, weird. Asked for coffee, got horrible tea.

Great time renewing contact with this great cafe many happy hours grabbing food then disappearing off in the van! We had some of the best cheesy chips ever! Good job done by the new owners very friendly and good munchies what more could you want!

Been in before with work mates but rarely have the time to visit when at work, so thought I would go in with the family at wk-end! Didn’t disappoint and family loved it to! Very friendly owners, wife’s now addicted to haloumi cheese!!

If you want a no nonsense hearty breakfast then this is a place to visit, I would highly recommend it

Went in for a nice breakfast with my partner only to be abused by the owner when I asked where the old owner had gone. She was very rude and we will not be going back EVER. I felt for the lady in the kitchen as she was trying to cook for everyone in the cafe. The owner was more interested in telling me and my partner that she had been there for almost a year and that we were not loyal customer if we did not know when she took over. We loved this cafe once upon a time. New owner is awful and her language is disgusting. I WILL NEVER GO BACK IN TO FERRARIS.

Sadly after going for breakfast for many years and having great service and food I no longer go as the new owners have turned it into a greasy spoon over cooked covered in grease

all the really good reviews are old when previous owner was there . been twice since to give it a chance . very disappointed quality has slipped and not the same buzz anymore since the two girls have gone .. I used to go twice a week but wont be returning again . how sad time to find a new venue .

Seems to have changed hands , standards unfortunately seems to have slipped terribly also , used to be great not sure how this is so different hopefully it will improve to where it used to be

Sadly the old owner/chef has gone and the place has gone down hill fast. Food, service, atmosphere have all noticeably deteriorated.

What has happened to this poor little cafe the food under the previous owner used to be great ok some of the staff weren't terrific but the food was always good but now under the new owner the food has gone downhill, I had to wait 25 minutes before I got served as the owner had taken an external order for delivery to a local factory and then the fry up I ordered was not only short of what I ordered but burnt bacon which was dry and horrible burnt sausage that was old and weathered then I heard another customer say that would be his first time and last time he would eat in the place and I will agree it's going to be the last time I eat in the place so if I give an honest review under the Old ownership 5 star Food 3 star service under the new ownership 2 Star Food 2 Star service.

Freshly cooked food at a great price! Wife and kids also loved it which is a bonus, my youngest won't normally touch anything that doesn't turn the milk chocolatey!

Food is great and good size portions. Really good value for money. The staff and owners are really friendly and welcoming.

Popped in on valued recommendation. Absolutely fantastic food and service. Very friendly staff and owners. The food was hot and well cooked, very tasty. Didn’t have to wait too long either. Serves all day breakfasts and even does take away. Great prices too. Highly recommended. x

This is a proper cafe, I went with my family. The breakfast was spot on great price for real, hot, freshly made food. Staff were excellent plenty of banter they made us feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble. I'm fussy with food not wanting certain items with my breakfast. Micheala simply said let me know what u would like and I'll get it for you. Couldn't ask for better. Thank you to all the staff for making breakfast bright and cheery.

Had a really nice breakfast here. Freshly cooked and piping hot. Only real criticism from me would be that sausages were bland and somewhat tasteless. Nice Cumberland or Lincolnshire would have been a finishing touch for me. The difference between a 4 & 5 * breakfast.

Came here on the strength of Trip Advisor reviews. They were not wrong. Friendly and polite staff. Breakfast was cooked to order and came out piping hot and full of flavour. Fried bread spot on and not over greased! One suggestion I have would be is that I would have preferred Cumberland sausage as an option if offered. Nothing to take off quality but would hav3 been icing on cake! Thanks for a great start to a good day!

He conocido la familia ferrari por 25 años pero para mi vergüenza nunca en la cafetería ferrari's.

El servicio y la comida presentada en horas de la madrugada fue excelente. El ambiente era animado pero no entrometido. .

Great little place - bit out of the way but worth the walk! Substantial breakfast served by lovely ladies at a reasonable price!

I came in here after a long night shift and was instantly offered a very nice cup of tea! The breakfast menu is extensive, I had the big bite (with haggis!) which was well cooked and not greasy and the ingredients were top notch. The place was quaint and traditional and is obviously a regular haunt for local. There is a stock of papers for solo visitors and I will definitely be making this my new regular place for the big cooked breakfast. Plus to top if off the waitress was stunning, if is worth coming back again just to see her.

I went to Ferrari's after being recommended it by a friend, I was not disappointed This place is great, it’s a no frills café but still clean and tidy just the way a cafe should be and I had one of the best full English breakfast I have had for quite some time.The served and staff were excellent

Service is fast and friendly. The mega Breakfast is Tasty and filling. The cafe is simple and clean with pictures of Ferrari on the walls and a few toy model ones aswell.. Opens from 5am which is great when finishing a night shift. Well worth trying.

If you want a good proper breakfast then head to Ferrari s, just outside the town centre, good no nonsense cafe serving excellent grub, nice clean tables, friendly staff, very reasonable prices & opens at 05.00, highly recommended.

We can't rate Dave and his team high enough!! Amazing food, served quickly and efficiently by pleasant staff....we try and go every Saturday

Called in for breakfast Saturday morning on way to passport office and breakfast was good plus excellent staff!Would recommend. Parking up to an hour along this road so ideal.

If you want a proper English breakfast then head down to ferrari's cafe at mayors walk just outside the town centre, definitely the biggest and best breakfast I have ever had. Once you have been I know you will return. Staff are great and love to have a chat, only one problem for me is the lack of parking.

A friendly welcome with a lovely breakfast- hot & a lot. A real cafe experience. Recommended if you can park nearby as there is residential parking only.

This is a down to earth, no frills cafe; but if you're looking for a well cooked traditional fried breakfast then this place fits the bill perfectly. My impression is that there are a lot of regular customers and I can understand why. This place is now a must for me when passing through the area

Great little traditional greasy spoon . Great friendly staff, hot fresh food. Only slightly let down for me was as is lacking with most cafe breakfast's a proper Lincolnshire sausage instead of the cheap pork ones. They should offer it as a breakfast upgrade then it would be perfect:)

Dave, Michaela and Ro are a fabulous team who deliver top quality food in a friendly environment. Highly recommend the mega breakfast as you really don't need to eat again all day!!10/10 all round

So, we eat out a lot...pretty much breakfast, lunch and dinner...every day! Partly because my cookery skills leave a lot to be desired but also because we're very busy people and spend a lot of time out and about on business. We eat breakfast at Ferrari's often (fried egg, beans, fried potato, tomato and bread and butter) and we're never disappointed. We eat at a lot of places from high class restaurants, to fish and chip shops to burger vans, chain restaurants and we're pretty good judges of good food. Ferrari's is the place for a good old fashioned breakfast, properly cooked by down-to-earth people who greet you as friends and who it's a pleasure having a chat with. It's one of those places that has stood the test of time with the owner Dave and his family being there over several decades. Yes they have regulars and they have people who have heard about the legend and visit for the first time - everyone is warmly welcomed and well looked after. If you want a good old fashioned plate of warm-your-belly food, then this is the right place. Down-to-earth, friendly and keeping it real. Perfect.

I'll be honest and say until this morning, I have been driving past this place for years and never fancied trying it. However, this morning, after a friend had told us she'd been going for years and how good it was we thought we'd give it a go. The food was great and served red hot, a brew was offered as soon as we stepped in the door. It's an old school cafe, old school hospitality and 100% better than any chain of cafes modeling themselves on French bistros.We loved it and we'll definitely stop in again

Looks dismal from the outside and even more dismal inside with air thick with stale frying smells. Arrived shortly after 1.30 and they told me they had stopped serving. I'll not bother trying again.

This is a gorgeous little café tucked away from the city centre, but still within walking distance on Mayors Walk. Probably the best place in town for a full English or vegetarian breakfast, or plenty of other hot or cold breakfast items. The service is quick and Dave the owner is always really friendly. This Café opens as early as 4am, so a great place if you are an early bird or have just come off a night shift. It stays open till around 2 Pm, so late risers worry not. It also serves lunch, although I haven’t had lunch there myself yet. Best Café in town by far – they don’t come like this anymore!

I been here a few times. I went here today 27th October 2015 for a very good value cooked breakfast.Was going to my more local Harvester as it round the corner but they put there prices up. So I thought I would go back to Ferrari's cafe this morning.Proper traditional English cafe and cheap! I had a look at other things on the menu and they cheap too. Bacon cooked to perfection and running egg yokes just how I like them. And a very good cup of tea.I will go back again for sure! :)Many thanks to the chef and waitress :)

Small and steamy eating area. The woman serving was half my age and worked through several endearments I haven't heard since my nab died. Very friendly but not expected or appreciated these days. On street parking is very limited but food (breakfast) was ok.

Easy to find, not easy to park - most is resident only. Small café, but great service, fast service, freshly cooked food, quality breakfast. A proper mug of quality tea, good strength, and available on tap - for a fab price. That gets my vote every time!The mega breakfast was just that. 2 of everything, incl toast and tea. only thing missing was hash brown - available as an extra at just 60p.Couldn't fault it, would go a bit out of my way to go again.My only other comment for here is that it is an awesome traditional breakfast café, not a full service restaurant, so not sure Number 1 Restaurant in the whole of Peterborough is fair

Whilst in Peterborough and wanting a good cafe to visit found this place as number 1 cafe for the area. Had the breakfast special and it was great and not greasy at all and tasted good.Well worth a visit.

I read with interest the email from TripAdvisor (see image) with a link inviting me to find out about the #1 Restaurant in Peterborough. So I followed the link and established it was Ferrari's Café on Mayor's Walk, in West Town. I read all 19 reviews and most suggested it was "Excellent" although the reviews were quite short and lacked specific detail, and the reviewers had relatively few previous reviews and a couple of them shared the same profile picture?Keen to make-up my own mind, I visited for a Coffee and a Sausage & Egg Breakfast Roll. I received a warm friendly welcome. The food & drink were hot, representing good value for money and the restaurant itself was clean, with a definite Ferrari Theme.In summary, this is a good local cafe for passers-by wanting a good-value fry-up for breakfast and for local residents to meet, chat over a coffee. What it is NOT, is the best overall Restaurant in Peterborough.

There are not many decent cafes around nowadays but Ferrari's is still a great place for a great breakfast. Great value for money and always a smiley face to greet you. My favourite cafe in Peterborough.

Found on Internet opens at 5 am great service, go over & beyond to help nothing too much of a problem.

This place is great no frills just the way a cafe should be and the beans are always hot, which you can't beat I hate cold beans, My husband first took me a few years ago and would be glad to recommend it to anyone who likes a good start to the day.

Been recommended by lads in Landscaping business. Got to have a cooked full English breakfast before hard landscaping. Use to go to a place next to City Market. Yep that was good but this is simply better bay far. Cooked while you wait. All fresh. Could do better with the bread though. More like home baked is better. Apart from that, here's the place guys and dolls.

We have eaten here 3-4 times and always enjoyed the food. A cooked breakfast with fried haggis as an extra! Opens early and is well frequented by the hungry traveller, workmen and passers-by. So you know it must be good for you

my husband has been going to this place almost Dailey for more years than I care to remember! Whether it's just tea and toast to the fabulous breakfast and much more on offer Dave and the staff are great at doing what they do, food is simply lovely and never greasy or fatty.

Without doubt THE best breakfast in Peterborough. I have used pretty much every cafe in the area but have been coming here regularly for 15 years. Always recommend the place to my friends, many of whom are now regulars. Aside from the quality food on offer, Dave and his staff are friendly and great fun, always making time to talk to old and new customers alike.

I took a colleague from the Netherlands plus my 6:year old son for breakfast at Ferrari's this week. Fantastic as usual. Great food at a very good price and excellent friendly service. Highly recommended.

Have been going to this cafe since it opened in 1988 - it still tastes the same , great value and alsways fresh and hot !!!

Have a big breakfast here about once a month, excellent value. 3 bacon 2 Eggs 1 sausage tomatoes/beans, bread/toast and a MUG of tea all for £5.

All food freshly cooked to order. Food was well cooked and hot. Prices were very fair. Very friendly & welcoming. We will certainly call again
