Fernandos Pizza And Kebab in Christchurch

Fuming is an understatement. Placed an order for delivery, order was accepted then cancelled because they had no driver… instead of calling me to let me know so I could go and pick it up they just cancelled the order. No refund for 5 days!!! After a 15 hour shift that was all I needed!!

First time ordering and food exceeded our expectations. Pizza was far tastier than big establishment pizza stores and chips were fresh. Garlic bread was also very tasty. Will definitely order from here again

Would only take cash on the counter. Even though they were taking phone and internet orders. Chicken shish kebab was ok, just average. Normally the meat is inside the pitta. However the unopened pitta was in the bottom of the box. The meat was on top the for some reason a large blob of coleslaw. Unfortunately the cold coleslaw makes the meat instantly cold. I did ask for all the salad options but no pickled green chili on the kebab. It wasn’t really bad. Just below average.

Trquestwd a custom made pizza which was delicious and no additional charges for added kebab meat. Excellent service and food. Highly recommended.

We've ordered takeaways over the years from a few places around Christchurch, And Fernando's has always been my favourite in recent years and never been anywhere else since. They are top of the list when it comes to takeaways. Their food is amazing The service is very professional. And they always deliver way before expected, everytime. Never had a problem and will always use. . 100% recommend.

Pizza was nice.... But tight on the toppings.... Need to be va bit more generous frankly especially when a 9'' pizza costing best part of a tenna

We just use this for a takeout and they deliver! Pizzas really good value and fresh curly fries Kebabs and pittas excellent too!

Will never visit again... £8.00 now for just a large tray of doner meat..I appreciate cost of living prices have risen for everyone. But if this is now the result of that..I can see most takeaways closing. This is an extortionate price to charge. What a shame greed has taken over

I visited this place a for a lamb kebab, the kebab meat was dripping with fat & puddled up in the takeaway container it was in. I found that the portion size was small although I ordered a large kebab, i found the meat not particularly tasty & a lot of gristle pieces although somewhat edible. I did not finish my kebab & stored thd rest for the next day, something i regularly do from my regular takeaway place, the next day the meat had soured so i can only assume it was not at its best when cooked the night before. I also had a side salad which was ok nothing but special. I only used this place as my usual kebab house is closed on a Sunday. I will not be visiting here again.

Don't expect much from a place like this but a bucket of lard would work better for oiling the hinges on my doors. 10 out of 10 for an alternative to wd40 but 0 out of 10 for consumable product.

Popped in last night for our after drinks kebab. Weren’t really even that drunk, but manage was so rude & tried to not give us food we ordered!!! Use to be our go to place but won’t be back again trying to take advantage of vulnerable people. 👎

We always have the lamb kebabs and it comes with loads of toppings and lots of lamb. Delivery is really quick. I place order on line then phone to ask for the lamb rare. Wish the new online ordering had a space to ask for how you want the meat like it did on the old system. The staff and delivery drivers are always friendly and food always arrives hot.

Fernandos was my ‘go to’ takeaway all through the lockdown. Absolutely FAULTLESS and really looked forward to knowing I was getting a decent takeaway. Since lockdown was over, I don’t know if they’ve had a new chef, but the portion sizes went really small and the food isn’t as tasty. I’ve tried it a few times since the world has started to get back to normal and it’s just not as good. But I’ll give them 4 stars for how great they were through lockdown.

This is one of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time, I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it, excellent service too for an affordable price. If you’re Nigerian, then you should try this.

If I could give zero stars I would. We've ordered from here multiple times before but today we ordered and when we go the notification saying it was on its way we waited outside. We were outside for half an hour before finding out the order had been cancelled. When we called to ask what was going on they lied to us saying they called 12 times and left 5 voicemails which they didn't do. Completely disgusted by this. Very disappointed.

They do great food there, I really like the chicken strip wraps, I would recommend people to come here

Great and tasty food the kebabs are amazing

Very disappointed, the dona meat and chicken was luke warm at best, and the salad was tiny and there were no pickled chillies. It seems that now you are no longer allowed to wait in the shop, the quality of their take away has gone down.

Food arrived cold, called up to see what they could do and was basically told I was lying. All this after the driver left it on our doorstep without taking cash payment of which we called her back to pay. We also paid more because the driver didn't have change. Normally a regular here but won't be going there again.

I can honestly say the kebabs and burgers are so gorgeous and mouth watering. I haven’t tried a pizza yet but saw one made for a customer once and it looked so yum. The prices are really cheap but quality is great. And I must say the staff are really nice too, so friendly. 10/10

This was our first order and food was delicious, fresh and not greasy at all. Salad was lovely. Little confusion originally where we thought we hadn't been given the correct kebab but was our mistake. Thank you to the lady on the phone as service was great. Sorry again 🙂.

When the delivery arrived, the portion of scampi was still frozen! As if taken from freezer and put into the box for delivery..did replace and give free bottle of pop ..but rest of food was luke warm on arrival..won't be returning to this local takeaway..absolutely disgusted..mistakes like sending out frozen food should not happen..

Ordered a large chicken shish. The chicken was cooked well however the portion sizes are hilariously small.

Took 1 hour 30 min for delivery, when it arrived it was stone cold. Binned it and ordered elsewhere have emailed them expecting a refund.

The food tasted good but the chicken shish felt like a small portion, when I order a large. It also took an hour 20 minutes from ordering to get here and was cold.

Kebabs are great, however the meat portion is large and you hardly get any chips at all even if you go large, they have yogurt mint but no real mint sauce or no option for garlic mayo... however the management need to organise the place as every time you order it gets refused as they are too busy we’ll get more staff or don’t advertise on just eat... “Good when you can get on but little improvements needed “

Was fast but could have been cooked a little longer

Absolutely gross!! Chips were completely inedible and got thrown out. I'm assuming they'd been microwaved from cold as they were totally dried out and powdery with a right farty smell to them. Had to remove all the lettuce from the wrap as it had lost any crunch whatsoever and basically looked like slime. Chicken wings were really wet, with an inch of watery liquid in the bottom. Couldn't even bring myself to taste them. Needless to say, it ruined our New Years and I wouldn't eat there again if you paid me. Ugh!

I had food delivered with one simple request not to knock the main door as there was elderly asleep and it was completely ignored. Pointless having a box for special requests as they are clearly void.

Visiting relatives in the area, being pizza crazy and not too keen on commercial branches decided to go for this. I must say the pizza was spot on, pepperoni all the way for me, wasn't too greasy for a pizza, topping, base, and sauce was good, would recommend to anyone if i was local. Open a shop in north london please! Haha, thanks for the pizza

Really fast delivery always hrlpful

Pizza has always been great, but where they excel is the garlic bread with cheese. The best i've had, and i try it everywhere that serves it. Donor wrap is good, but something not to had too often, it can not be one bit healthy! Usually have delivery, but staff have always been pleasant when i've popped in. The best local pizza place without a doubt.

Most of the food ok apart from wrap and gentleman who we dealt with on phone and when went back up there was very rude when we said we won't be ordering he replyd oh well never mind absolutely appaled by his attitude

Unfortunately the guy on the phone couldn't understand when we ordered a chicken that's what we wanted as he sent a lamb kebab, he blamed us and gave me abuse so I had to go down their and turn it around, his lip was quivering at slightest raised voice, considering he is dealing with customers I wouldn't recommend this place at all, the foods very hit and miss and the state of the bloke isn't good either, unshaven looking like he's been on a all weekend bender, bed hair like a fuzz ball cut unbrushed. Very disappointing all in all. However some of the staff are nice and quick delivery. Just get rid of the old tramp on the counter/phone.
