Amazing staff good food good price

Very family friendly pub with sports on Tv's. Great food at very reasonable prices. A good day out with the kids or to watch the football. Also dog friendly and a nice covered in smoking area with TV. We use this place a lot although we live 10miles away.

We walked there for a drink and meal whilst staying at Sandhills (Park Holidays) in Mudeford. Had the 'Signature' dish of Jamaican Chicken Stew which was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend a visit for a bite to eat if staying nearby.

Loved that this pub is dog friendly and has outside seating areas too with plenty of parking. We weren't originally going to have anything to eat but when we saw the plates coming out the kitchen and heard the pleasing comments from people seated near us we couldn't resist. Glad we ate there. Reasonably priced and tasty and slipped down just as easily as the drink did. We love to support our local pub/bar/restaurant and acknowledge the lovely staff who also added to this great experience. We will be back very soon.

What a great find. A Sports bar but definitely not what you expect. Perfect for family dining and meeting friends and a friendly atmosphere. The food was hot and tasty and great value. Lovely friendly staff who were helpful and clearly well trained. Well done to all.

We went for an evening dinner , booked in advance so easier. Was very doggy friendly which is a must for us. The food was very good nice & hot . The staff were very nice .

Being a 'man of a certain age', I've come to expect certain things from any new pub I happen to visit. I don't know if this makes any sense, but you can 'feel' what a pub is going to be like as soon as you go through the doors. So when I took my wife, daughter and grand daughter to the Sandpiper, the minute I entered the place I knew I was on a winner. It is a big, sprawling, friendly pub. The staff are fast and efficent behind the pumps, but more importantly, they are friendly and welcoming, greeting you as if you were a long time regular and not a new customer. I had called ahead to make a reservation ( something I would advise, as the Sandpiper is VERY popular ), and we were quickly shown to our table, a baby chair fetched for our 2-year old grand daughter, and menus distributed. The food is what i used to call 'sizzler' meals, and I strongly recommend their excellent mixed grill. It comes in two sizes, and I found the smaller of the two more than adequate. The children's menu is also very good, with meals to suit all tastes and ages. The meals arrived quickly, were beautifully cooked and well worth the money. And the drinks? They stock a wide selection of wines: the house red and house rose found favour with the two adult females of the party, while the youngest member happily dealt with a Fruit Shoot. I indulged in an excellent pint of Greene King IPA, one of a wide range of beers and lagers on offer. It was altogether a great experience, and I would strongly recommend a visit if you are in the area. But if you plan to eat there, especially in the evening, as I said earlier, it is best to book in advance.

Visited here a couple of times for food and drinks , on a short break away staying at Hoburne Park. Found it to be good value for money ,lovely meals .Not too busy always got a table . Staff were friendly and attentive .

One of the family members has just purchased a new house locally & we called in for brunch. Breakfast was good & the gammon steak was lovely. Good ingredients, cooked well & priced extremely reasonable. Definitely be calling in again soon. Good Atmosphere & obviously very popular and can see why.

The sandpiper is always our first choice when out for a drive, as theres always a friendly welcome and the food is delicious and has good offers. It has nice a large garden and is 🐶 friendly.

Ate here twice & both times great food & piping hot. Lots on the menu to choose from lots of tables & reasonably priced 🙂

Came for lunch only had the 2 4 1 excellent value and service. Told friends and they enjoyed it it took seem nothing is too much trouble, cheaper meals as good and care taken over as more expensive meals .

I like this pub. It's large and has areas for everybody, including outside and is 100% dog-friendly. The food is good, the service friendly and efficient and right by the 70 bus stop. Sports on big screens and gets busy but relaxed at other times. Still selling drinks for under £5.

We normally go here once a week., on my sons day off. Today we had Hunters Chicken on the meal deal. This is good value for money. Well worth going here. Childrens meals and meals for the elderly. Nothing is to much trouble. See you next week....

Nice food, nice staff. Bit of a spots bar, that's to say there's always sports on the tvs. Recommend for anyone young and old.

Came here the other day with my partner for a bite to eat. Was greeted in such a friendly manner by every team member that saw us. The food was quick and hot! Had a lovely gammon steak. Lovely atmosphere! We will back definitely!

Regular visits to the Sanpiper don't disappoint. There's plenty of room in and out and tables for food are plentiful. Good choice of drinks on offer and a wide range of food at very competitive prices. Plenty of attentive, friendly staff. It was busy footy week, but great atmosphere. Our food was very good.

Really enjoy this place, tend to use it during the afternoon, when it's a little quieter, but food and drink are of good quality and service is always efficient and polite.

Bar staff very friendly and accommodating, food average, although had run out of scampi by 6pm! Extremely busy family pub, the staff cope well and efficiently.

Spacious local pub with lots of atmosphere and great value for money.

Grey tissue paper found in my food. Also my sister had a bit in hers. Tortilla (?) bread seemed microwave-reheated. Very tough. When the tissue paper was reported to staff, response was apologetic, but no offer of free drink or anything...Update, I did get an offer of credit if I go again, but didn't get around to taking them up on that.

Chips were not so good today everything else was great.

Stopped for lunch and glad we did. Food was incredibly delicious. Compliments to the chef and Brett who served us. Staff were friendly. I would highly recommend. We had slow cooked rib of beef, tikka tandoori flame grill with sides of mac and cheese, boneless wings and lamb kofta. Superb. Thank you.

Great time in kids holidays. Pop to Mudeford for a day out and nipped in for dinner on way home. Lovely new menu since we last came. Loads of flags for the Euros coming up which the kids are excited for. Will be back as always

Cheap and cheerful. Can be a noisy place due to the sport playing in the TV.

Lovely friendly staff , the pub has a nice atmosphere to the place . We had a mix grill and the 8oz Gammon meal , they were all cooked beautifuly the food was delicious . Of course we had pudding and even that was delicious, the chocolate sundee and the toffee cheesecake , they were so nice and not sickly like you might think they could be .

One of the best gammon steaks I've had for a very long time.

The Sandpiper was a busy bustling pub when we visited. We had booked a table which had been reserved for us. It took a little while to get served - ordering food at the bar, but as stated it was busy. The food overall was okay but not amazing. Steak and ale pie was over heated and hard crust in places, not exactly packed with steak but what there was was good. Little pot of almost cold instant gravy didn't help. In truth it was an okay meal which should have been better for the price (even though it wasn't expensive) I ate it all except the pot of gravy, so it couldn't have been too bad. Good atmosphere as it was busy, it was dog friendly which I always applaud even though our dog wasn't with us on this occasion. I would go again although I probably won't bother with the pie.

Excellent service and food. We attended an 84th birthday party yesterday for a special friend. Our group of 6 adults and 2 dogs couldn't have been welcomed more warmly.

I always call here for a few beers after ordering a takeaway next door. Nice pub and good selection of beer, very handy.

I found staff rude and not interested. The food was to a poor standard and a lot of the stuff on the menu not available. Would not go back.

Probably wrong time to go on Friday evening but the public bar half was full of tradesmen possibly being very noisy and intimidating. Restaurant half was busy but calmer. Food was ok though.

We had booked a table for 6.30 pm today 13,3,24 no meet and Geat we waited for 10 minutes and walked out will never go again it is now 21,15 no call about no show no stars 🤨🤨🤨🤨

Wow. Stopped here while visiting the area for an evening dinner. A pitcher of pina colada and two mains for £25! The food was good, hot and delivered in a perfectly acceptable time. The staff we met were really friendly and extremely helpful. Well done to the team. Thank you. We will definitely come again while we’re down here.

Come here most months with business clients but decided to bring the family this time. The kids loved the nuggets and dessert of course. My wife and I shared the steak fondue which was perfectly cooked.

Fab place for drinks & menu looks good too! Proper sports pub with a great atmosphere. Will definitely plan to eat next time. Another visit that didn’t disappoint. Not busy when we arrived at 12.30ish, lots of choice of where to sit, staff always really friendly and welcoming, great menu offering a varied menu including gluten free, lots of good deals we chose loaded nachos and cheesy garlic bread to start to share which arrived hot and was really nice. Chose the bbq chicken served on a sizzling skillet with onions peppers and bbq sauce lovely chips and peas it was so tasty and fresh my friend had the steak and ale pie with mash and veg it was a big pie and served with a jug of gravy he said it was really delicious. It was nice not to feel rushed so took our time and thought we’d have a dessert, we had bisciff cheesecake within vanilla ice cream and a very chocolately tart with cream and caramel again with ice cream we decided to share and every mouthful was a delight. This is our 3 visit to the sandpiper and definitely won’t be our last. Highly recommended.

Brought the family here on our visit to the coast. Decent prices for basic food so that was perfect for the family. On the poor side was the fact so many tables had reserved notices on them so where to sit was limited. Having spent a couple of hours here, all the tables with reserved written on them had no one on them for the duration of our visit. Some people even left because they couldn't find a table without reserved notices. Poor management comes to mind. Apart from this the kids enjoyed it.

Really nice friendly local pub we had come from out of town and wanted somewhere we knew the food would be good. Wasn't disappointed three of us all had different meals and all cooked as you would hope plenty of choice as well.

Visited the pub for lunch today with family 18/02/24 and I must say the food was excellent ! All hot and fresh. I recommend the flame grilled cheese burger with a side of Peri Peri wings. Good value for money and worth the 1 hour and 10 minute drive. I’ll be popping in again next time I see family in the area.

Absolutely love this place! We visit as frequently as we can,love the food (especially the wings!),dog friendly,excellent choice of beers and ciders,plus Bex and the team are always pleased to see you. Can't wait for the summer to enjoy the large outside seating area.🙂

Popped in just for a few drinks and ended up staying for dinner. Staff were friendly and food arrived quickly. Gammon was excellent and the fish batter light and crispy. Great value for money will be back.

This pub was a lifesaver on our daytrip to the area. It was the only place open at dinner time! The prices are very reasonable and the food is high quality. I would return here, given the chance.
