Fellinis in Middlesbrough

My husband and I visited Fellinis for Mothers Day…our booking was at the very last minute as our plans had to change suddenly. So grateful to Eammon and the team for another excellent experience in their restaurant. From the warm welcome to the excellent food what started out as a last minute change of plan turned into an amazing afternoon. The quality of the food was delicious , I had the slow cooked beef rib which was divine , followed by home made blueberry and franzipan tart served with cream and ice cream, accompanied by a top quality glass of Prosecco ….Fab U Lous!! The stand out feeling you get from this restaurant is one of genuine warmth from the staff who serve you to the stand out quality of the food and its presentation. Thank you to you everyone who made our day so special. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves good food and excellent service.

Me and my girlfriend had a date night here we were told by our friends to go here to try so we booked and tried it and we are not happy with it. Not worth the money the food was bland and tasteless. Me and my girlfriend had to put extra salt and pepper just to get some taste but still didn't help it. For the price it's not worth it. Me and my girlfriend agreed we will never come here again.

Decided to try Fellini’s for a date night as it was recommended to us by a number of our friends. We wish we hadn’t. A once great restaurant seems to have lost its spark and gone downhill. We decided on a bottle of wine & 3 courses. All of the food we received was cold, greasy & tasteless. The garlic bread starter was literally dripping with grease & was so thin you’d miss it if you blinked. The prawn pasta starter was unimaginative, tasteless, & far too heavy. The parmo mains were again tasteless. The ice cream was okay but not worth the price. We both agreed that this was the worst food we have ever eaten & we won’t be back. Spend your money wisely by visiting one of the other restaurants in the area like Oven, Central Park, or Olivello.

Had a really great evening here, the food was superb, and most of the service was excellent, it was badly let down by the attitude of one young waitress( long dark hair) who was rude and abrupt and literally plonked orders down on the table no where near the person that they were meant for, such a shame because the other staff were a delight, we weren’t the only table that noticed this either, would suggest some re training as she is badly letting down this otherwise delightful place .

Not Sure the price is justified for the parmo ..very small for £17 .50 and extra potatoes very small for the price

Great to book with then changed numbers which was fine , we had quite a large gathering so I think we all understand the need for head count. However the space we were allocated was a bit squashed , asked for an extra chair from one of the girls ! However the owner I presume came over with quite an attitude not impressed by the request saying you were told final numbers were asked for I told him final numbers were given that day. The food was ok , lovely meals for some and not for others. Felt we were rushed on courses , had 2 birthday cakes , these were presented even before requested so not all guests were at the table when these were brought over by the staff !! One of the cakes was not even put in front of the right person , In my opinion if you can’t fit the group in comfortably then don’t take the booking ……… £500 bill was quite an amount ! The bill was not the issue as such but they must have known it was gonna be high by the amount of people so make time for a comfortable meal

Visited this weekend for a family celebration and had an unremarkable experience. Decor of establishment was rather nice. Admittedly, we were a large booking of 17 individuals and this can be challenging to manage and organise for such a small establishment. The mature gentleman was rather rude to our host whom asked for an additional chair for the party as we were one short despite finalising numbers as agreed earlier in the afternoon. This is no way an appropriate manner to treat guests and clearly set a bad example for his staff as well as the wrong tone for the evening ahead. Guests were not even properly seated before being hounded for their drinks order despite not being given a drinks menu. Upon asking about cocktails to the waitress - whom was pleasant - she was unable to give the full selection just the three she knew of the top of her head that were the standard run-of-the-mill selection. To give full credit to her fo honest regarding the diaquiries before we ordered them in. The cocktails (passion fruit martini and cosmopolitan's) ordered were disappointing as they tasted watered down and lacked a bang. Don't understand why one of the passion fruit martinis was brought out in a drinks glass which was rather random. Drinks orders were taken on an ad-hoc basis with the waiting staff not taking a full tables order walking away as people attempted to give their drinks order, unintentional maybe? We were rushed to give our starters/mains orders all of which came promptly and all guests received the correct order. The waiting staff shouted out food orders from the top of the table to identify who's order was who's. The pasta-based dishes were pleasantly enjoyed yet the pizzas and parmesans proved to be somewhat vanilla. Not all guests had properly finished eating their meals before the gentlemen asked if he could remove plates before receiving an answer from the full table resulting in some guests to not finish their meals. We were not offered a deserts menu once they removed dishes from the table. We had second hand embarrassment for an additional family party whom were having a celebration meal at the restaurant. The party had started to get settled at the table putting out their balloons etc when the mature gent stormed over barking at them to move as he shoved table and chairs across the restaurant. This clearly made them feel uncomfortable as was noticed and commented by the service users of the restaurant. The waiting staff plonked the celebration cakes on the table one of which didn't even go to the correct individual. NO SPECIAL MEMORY OR MAGICAL MOMENT TO BE HAD FOR A 18TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. It would have been nice if they had asked before bringing it out as some of our party partially missed out on the occasion. The bill was given to the wrong individual instead of the host which allowed for everyone to see the bill when this was an private affair. To be perfectly honest we visited a few months earlier and had a disappointing experience but with better service. Linthorpe Road is bursting with alternative, superior, independent eateries that I would highly recommend instead.

Ordered a few starters, potato skins were nice, not so keen on the garlic bread it was so thin and flimsy and £6.50 ( wouldn’t have again) Main meals very nice, hot and tasty. Quite a few sea food options but as I’m allergic to fish then no good for me so had the chicken. Wine £22 a bottle which was good! Very quiet but was a Wednesday All in all would return

Second visit to this Restaurant as we don’t live in the Middlesbrough area. Had a great meal, my choice was Prawn jambalaya which was excellent both in content and quantity. The other members had different Pasta dishes and were equally impressed. The young, friendly and efficient Staff got the pace of the meal absolutely right. Lastly the prices are sensible for the food the wine and soft drinks. Super evening.

It was our first visit to Fellini’s and the menu looked really tasty. We had only popped out for tea so decided to share some potato skins first, these were fine, served with a nice garlic butter. My wife had the Penne Forlevese for main which we thought was really nice. My Peppercorn Chicken was not so nice. The sauce was extremely salty and not to my taste and the skinny house fries were overly crunchy. It seems a bit churlish to complain about the food being too hot but when one of you is tucking in while the other is waiting for the dish to cool down or burning your mouth, its a bit annoying. Being a typical Brit, I didn’t complain/comment to the staff which I suppose is my own fault. I really should have sent the Peppercorn back and ordered the Blue Cheese Honey pizza which was my 2nd choice. Feedback/suggestions. Perhaps if a particular meal is piping hot - don’t put it on a pre-warmed plate. Salt can be added to taste, why not add the minimum to season the dish and allow the customer to add more if they wish to. Also, it is better to check if the food is good while you are still eating rather than wait until the guest is paying the bill. Overall, not a bad meal, service was quick and efficient and anyone that regularly adds salt to their mains would likely have enjoyed the peppercorn chicken.

We haven't eaten here in a few years and returned for my husband's 40th birthday for a special meal - we weren't disappointed! Our favourites are still on the menu - I love the cajun chicken and the side of vegetable compot, highly recommended!! We shared starters and all enjoyed our meals, which were reasonably priced. The toilets are located up steep stairs near to the entrance. They are spacious (much appreciated when 8 months pregnant) and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. My mum asked for her steak to be boxed up as she couldn't finish it all and this wasn't a problem. The only thing was our table did feel a little squashed. Most groups of 4 persons had 2 small square tables next to each other, but we only had 1 square table so could barely get all our main meal plates to fit onto the table. Not sure why we got a small table in the middle of the floor? As I had requested a table near a wall, specifying on booking that we would be bringing balloons so would be better if had wall to put them against. The 2 large balloons really didn't work having to both be tied to the back of 1 chair, so this was rather disappointing. The restaurant was quiet when we visited at 5.30pm mid-week, but by the time we left was over half to three quarters full. A good sized menu and there is also a specials board, which was mostly seafood dishes. Meals are reasonably priced; desserts are £6 each and a good size. We spent a leisurely 100 minutes enjoying our meals, desserts and drinks. We wold highly recommend and will not be leaving it another couple of years before we come back!

We arrived at the restaurant for a birthday treat for my daughter. At first the staff were friendly and attentive and we ordered our starters. After a short time we ordered the mains which was from the specials which was shown to us from the waiter. After the mains we chatted between ourselves but now we wanted to pay the bill. We looked at the staff and nodded to them and even stared at them but no one came over. All the staff just chatted between themselves and paid no attention to us. This really made our stay unwelcoming and overall the staff where lazy and poor and we’re very inattentive and complete lack of customer service which spoiled our visit. The waiter who served our food did not say bye as we were leaving really summed them up.

We booked a table 8.30 16.4.22 wanted a little earlier no problem .the restaurant was very busy. Could not fault the staff very attentive nothing a problem really looked after us. The food was second to none hot fresh very tasty great time

We opted for a takeaway tonight. Fantastic food and lovely service as always. A slight problem with our order but Aemon sorted it out without any issues. Thank you very much.

my wife and i have just collected and eaten a lovely meal of sanfran chicken and chicken diane can not find a fault with all of it.

After a six hour journey to Middlesbrough it was a great find, the goats cheese for starters was fantastic. All the good was very good.

Could do with a few larger portions but we love it here, staff are always super chatty, friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu each time we've been so far, big thumbs up!

Staying in Stockton on tees, found it tricky to find a healthy takeaway. Settled on this Italian. Good range of menu on deliveroo. Had sausage pasta which was a good helping and tasted good. Recommend deliveroo service over just eat disaster of previous evening.

As soon as I could reserve a table after lockdown I did. Being a frequent visitor here I was obviously looking forward to the food but was intrigued about the restrictions so thought I’d gear this review more to that side of things.Walking through the door felt like old times, Eamonn with his warm greeting showed us to our table. Offered us some sanitiser foam for our hands and explained that the reduced menu was ours to keep during our visit which would be discarded when leaving. Only 4 tables withdrawn he explained but it felt great. A little extra room to walk between the tables but such is the layout you didn’t feel like you were sat miles from anyone but also safe enough to not be near anyone either. The staff were superb (as was the lobster pasta). Fantastic service, there when you needed them but never fussing you. Only one waiter (to my knowledge) wearing a face mask but each to their own I say. Not an issue.No surprise that the restaurant was fully booked on the re-opening night such is the loyalty to Fellinis from its regulars.It felt relaxed and normal if ever that word can be used again in any context.Brilliantly handled by Eamonn and the team, credit to all during uncertain times for the hospitality business. visited numerous times and did not disappoint this time.we visited with our children and took advantage of children eat free until 6pm.the food for the children was plenty with a big half pizza and fries with a soft drink followed by a big bowl of icecream with all the toppings which went down very well.i tried a few new things grilled goats cheese with toasted pecans which was devine,my husband had mussels which were also excellent,main course was creamed coconut salmon which was superb,my husband and older daughter had a parmesan which was also excellent.all followed with a wonderful ice cream cheesecake beautiful combined with excellent prompt and friendly service from all staff.what an excellent restaurant,we have visited a few other local restaurants with various events lately and none can compare to the fantastic service and food at this restaurantthank you

Have eaten in Fellinis four times in the last few weeks! Each time, different numbers for various occasions. Every time, without exception, service and food has been exceptional,last night there were 20 of us and we all came away delighted with every single aspect. I can highly recommend this restaurant, which is celebrating it's 20th year!Not only is the food exquisite, there is something very special about all the staff.

I visited Fellini’s in Saturday 1st Feb with my family around 5pm and the restaurant was fairly busy, music was playing and it was a nice atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly but it did take a while to get drinks after we ordered them. The menu doesn’t have a huge selection to choose from and the food is very average for what you pay. I had been once before in July with my partner for his birthday and we both agreed that it’s not a place we would visit by choice again. Although we all enjoyed our time there, the food is definitely a let down for me.

Went to Fellini’s with my husband and three children on Christmas Eve. It was perfect. The staff are friendly and attentive. A wonderful menu with gorgeous dishes to suit all tastes. The Parmesan was quite literally the best I’ve ever tasted. My sons steak was fabulous and the pizzas were perfection. Seriously wouldn’t want to eat out anywhere else.

Been a few times now and has always been excellent. The pizzas and pastas have always been great and there is always a great range on the specials board. The staff are always helpful and friendly

Fantastic place and food.Booked a table for 3 during a visit home from Norfolk. Arrived early and was met with a lovely warm greeting and drinks in the bar. Staff informed us when the table was ready. Plenty of choice on the menu. Drinks topped up regularly. All the staff were engaging and helpful throughout our meal. The food was amazing. The Ribs and mussels were to die for and the Parmos for main are a definite reason to return. My first experience here but I will definitely be returning soon. A lovely atmosphere with top class service and food. Thank you guys for a great evening.

We booked a table for my mum in laws birthday. From the start to the finish it was a fantastic dining experience. The staff were attentive, the ambience relaxing and the food was delicious. I would recommend Fellinis of Middlesbrough above all other restaurants.

Called in for lunch yesterday, i ordered the venison from the specials board and can highly recommend it to others. The meat was perfectly done and the sauce, potatoes and other accompaniments were delicious.

Always perfect. 3 of us had lobster mac n cheese and it was perfect! Never a bad meal and can’t complain!

I dont often write reviews for restaurants but I feel I have to leave a review after visiting Fellinis for a rare date night with my husband x The food in Fellinis is always perfection but tonight it was a taste sensation . The lobster mac and cheese was delicious and one of the best dishes I've had in a long time . I also love the fact it has a 5 star rating for hygiene which is very important to me . Staff very attentive and atmosphere was relaxed and warming . Best restaurant by far in Middlesbrough .

Waited 40 minutes for a table booked before hand for party of nine, ushered upstairs to wait, while constantly asked do we want more drinks, waited fifteen minutes for the order to be taken,service very poor, and food although okay was poor value for money, would not return.

Everytime ive been to this restaurant you are made to feel welcome and just like another customer in a long line.Food is always well presented and tastes amazing,would highly recommend this restaurant for a more personnel and quitter evening.

Always treated as an individual and the owner and staff take care of you. Try the lobster pasta, the cod Mussels Ina cider cream sauce and the Roasted Lamb. To die for! Had especially good service from Barry and Paula.

Fellinis always provides delicious food. We have visited the restaurant for many many years and it’s still a favourite of our families. We often use the takeaway service as well which is recently on deliveroo. The restaurant are very accommodating and give such a good service every single time!

Last night we went for my 70th (and James's 6th) birthday. 5 adults and 7 children (from 1-15). The food was lovely and the service was friendly as it always is. Excellent value and we thoroughly enjoyed our special occasion. Thank you everyone.

Can't fault today's visit, staff are friendly and welcoming. We went with 2 adults, 2 kids. Shared a garlic bread for starters, slightly oily but plenty of garlic. Had the lobsters spaghetti and was delighted with the amount of king prawns and lobster meat in the dish, not too Spicey. Husband enjoyed parmo, and the kids enjoyed their meals. Decent portions sizes. Would definately return.

Today my colleagues and I visited Fellinis for a planned lunch with 24 six and seven year olds. It was our class trip with an aim of giving the children a memorable,and in some cases, new experience. Prior to our visit I spok at length with the owner who shared our vision of giving the children a special experience. All our dietary requirements and special needs were met and we were made to feel as though nothing was a problem.

Hadn’t been here for awhile but will definitely return very soon. Delicious food( lobster pasta and seabass )great wine and lovely service. Would definitely recommend

A rare chance for me and my wife to have some ’us’ time away from our two young daughters meant one thing, Fellinis meal and drinks.

Hi all we were there for a party and there was around 14 people, it was a set meal of 3 different starters, main and sweets for £20. the starters where ok ??, for the main you could also get a steak for £6 more, there was 5 of us got the steaks with chips i ask for a medium cooked steak and the rest asked for how they wanted there steaks cooked. When the steaks came all of then where all cooked the same well done where every, very hard to eat, also chips where not chips but fries small than MacDonald's. the sweet was the best thing, a ice cream, also do not seat near the door as this is always opening and closing and is ferry, ferry cold.

I am a regular at Fellini’s but never leave a review. I have to say I have been coming to Fellini’s for 18 years and have never had a bad meal. The service and food are always excellent. I often come for an early evening meal with the girls, sometimes with family and young children and, as tonight for an evening meal. You always feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. At tonight’s meal they had run out of the wine I ordered and so gave us an alternative free of charge. What brilliant service. Keep up the good work

Popped in for tea, was very very disappointed to pay £8 for a micro-nuked, sloppy lasagne ...no garnish, nothing but a bowl of slop! Have to say, worst meal I’ve had for ages and will never return

This place is amazing. My works leaving party and the hospitality and food were top class!! Seafood linguine tasted Devine and full of seafood. The staff were so helpful such a lovely night. Highly recommend x

Well I hadn’t been for years so thght id give it a re try. It was ok. I thght it was over priced and thght the menu could have been better. Also felt the waiter or manger was rushing us out as it was 930. Clearing the tables. It was ok overall but I don’t think I wld go back. The lady in reception was lovely tho and very polite

I have been eating for years but I will no more. I have recently discovered through a past employee that the owner keeps all the tips. As someone who has been a waitress I know how much of a difference tips make and to find out that the people who provide you with the experience get none of them disgusts me.

Me and my parter dropped in hoping to get a table, it was a Saturday night so understandably it was busy. We got told the waiting time but got assured we would be seated as soon as possible. We got offered nibbles while we waited and sat upstairs in the bar area (very pretty with a beautiful view). The owner got us seated very quickly, the service was faultless. My favourite place in Middlesbrough to eat, the lobster and prawn spaghetti is amazing. 10/10

Service very good. For a Wednesday evening the place was quiet with only 3 tables of customers that included ours. The restaurant next door was very busy and I know why, the lobster dish, mac and cheese as was the lobster and spaghetti was cheeky and very fishy tasting. It advertised queen scallops, which were no bigger than my thumb size. When I complained the waiter said it was all fresh and the scallops were frozen that’s why they were small. So, it was all fresh yet the scallops were frozen? We won’t be going back.

Fellini’s is our favourite family restaurant in Middlesbrough!

Fellini's has been open since I can remember, I've had probably 20+ meals in there and never had anything other than absolute quality. We were here again a couple of weeks back, the lobster spaghetti starter was incredible as always, and the Chicken San Francesco is still a 10/10 meal. Bit of lemoncello for dessert. Lovely.

Amazing family restaurant. We love to go here as a family. If it's just going out for tea or an occasion. The staff are amazing and the food is out of this world!

Lived here all my life but only just got around to try Fellini's. Service was excellent as was the food. I felt mildly embarrassed for having a parmo in an Italian restaurant but it was just what I needed at the time. Would definitely recommend.

Had the smoked haddock risotto, food did not take long to arrive and was delicious meal with reasonable portion and well cooked fish.

We visited just before Xmas and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was really good. 3 of us had the fish specials which were superb and 1 had pepper chicken which again was good. Service was good. We will be back again soon.

Been here a few times and had always been excellent. The food has always been good from the pastas, pizzas to the fish and steaks. Staff always helpful and friendly.

We were greeted by the manager upon arrival - who seemed pretty lovely - and seated + served almost immediately, there was a large selection of meals(including vegetarian and childrens options), and after eventually settling for the cajun chicken, i was impressed above and beyond with the quality of the food! alongside the disabled access, beautiful bar + floor layout, practical space upstairs, friendly staff, general aura of the place and wonderful service i would absolutely return!!

Went for a birthday and it was fantastic. I honestly think it’s the best seafood in the area. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I loved the atmosphere and will definitely be returning soon!

we came as a party of 5 on a saturday night, we were seated and had our orders taken very quickly, the staff were kind and welcoming, the atmosphere was lovely and we had a wonderful time over all. although we didn’t need it, i noticed great disabled access and facilities, the whole place just seemed like a nice place for all groups to visit!

Haven't been to fellinis for many years,after crying because my ex had ordered me duck and I couldn't eat it (I could hear the ducks from the park opposite).

We were a party of 7 adults and 2 babies and caused on Monday lunch time at 12:00. There was only one other table in the restaurant however when we arrived it felt that we were not welcome as we had not booked. We ordered from the main menu and despite this we were advised that the babies with us could not eat free as the board outside had indicated. Food was mediocre and you could not hear yourself think due to the loud music and disco lights. A truly disappointing experience not to be repeated.

Fellini's has always been the benchmark in which I've judged other restaurants, and I can safely say it's still o e of the best. Excellent food, interesting menus with lots of choice and enticing specials, great service and a friendly atmosphere. Nothing more to say really, I have never been disappointed.

I used to come here regularly but I moved out of Linthorpe a few years ago so it had been a while. I got lobster spaghetti as a starter and chicken sanfrancesco and both were 10/10. Drinks are a little expensive (£7 for 2 orange cordials) but the food is absolutely top drawer.

Visited on a Saturday evening around 7pm with my parents (in their 70s) who love this place. In the past I have found the service a bit rushed at Fellini's but this time it was great. We were given a choice of tables and when I explained we wanted to take things slowly as we had lots of catching up to do we got exactly that - leisurely drinks, never hassled to place our order, and 20 minutes between courses as we had asked for.

We started with garlic bread while we decided our meal choices. We then began with a "sharing" dish of tempura prawns for three people and we fought over who would have the last one ! -The prawns which can often a be bit rubbery were just right Main courses and desserts varied amongst the group but all were announced as excellent - my own salmon and asparagas Fettucine was probably the best I have ever had. All washed down with a bottle or two of a very good Picpoul de Pinet. Noisy perhaps but great atmosphere and we will be back here again in December for one of their popular live music nights.

This was my first visit to Fellinis and I will definitely be back! We ordered the potato skins with garlic dip and the spicy ritzy chicken in panko breadcrumbs with honey mistard. Both were absolutely divine! For the main course I ordered the lasagne and it was also really nice. The wine here is also spot on. Nice atmosphere, the tables aren't jammed dead close together, and quietish music in the background. Would definitely recommend. 2 starters, 2 mains (including a huge parmo), 2 medium glasses of wine, and 2 large cokes for just under £50. Not bad at all

Excellent quality food and friendly efficient service. Would recommend this restaurant for couples and/or families. Well worth a visit.

I have eaten in Fellini's many times and never get tired of this restaurant. It's like a cosy blanket, very welcoming. The food is second to none, you know your going to get great food before you go. The seafood is always fresh, and the pasta to die for. Service is good. Would recommend to anyone!

The food is devine. They have a fantastic selection of authentic italian cuisine with delicious fresh sea food as well as a wide range of vegetarian suitable dishes.

Two friends and myself went for lunch for the first time last week. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and taken to our table. The service we received was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were beautiful especially our desserts which were out of this world. We will certainly return!

We eat here a few times a year. My dad lives in Boro and it's his favourite place to eat out. I can see why.
