Great food. A half hour to an hour wait but worth it. Desserts and drinks a little expensive. However, the best burgers ever!

I'm not lying when I say it's the best burger I've ever had. It tasted soooo good! We did have to wait around 25 mins because it was busy but the atmosphere of the place was very cool. The fairy lights, the music, the chilly summer night. It was a perfect experience. I will definitely be coming back here.

Exceeded expectations ! What a beautiful spot to enjoy a delicious burger ! The burger and fries were super yummy, high quality ingredients and tasty af! Red wine was also lovely. Vibe is super chill and beautiful being surrounded by nature. Would highly recommend if you like burgers and nature !

Tried to visit here 3 times over the last few months only to be told they have stopped serving/run out of burgers/fryers working intermittently which puts them over their frying time apparently. Really frustrating, especially as we live 25 mins away. Nothing posted on their socials either to let you know before you set out that they aren’t serving. Prepare to be disappointed unless you go early. It’s a shame, the burgers are incredible, they just don’t have it together.

Fantastic quality burger in a delightful location. Couldn't ask for anything more. Yes, there was an hour wait but it's completely worth it, grab a drink and your burger will be ready before you know it. Second best burger in Norfolk for me (After Bun Exchange in Norwich.)

We have tried to go three times. The first time we arrive and were told they had sold out of burgers (around 7:30pm). The second time we try again. We look up closing time which is advertised as 9pm. We arrive at 8. They tell us they are not taking any new orders. Ok one last try… our third and last visit… at 7pm, it will be at least a one hour wait if not longer. I would not bother wasting your time visiting.

Drive all the way there for them to be closed on a Thursday (a day they advertise being open). No apparent reason, just closed. Not good!

Lovely place to visit sitting with with the wildness of nature all around. Yummy burgers & chips. Didn't have room for ice cream so will have to go back. Will definitely be back.

The burgers were incredible (best burger in Norfolk I think!) and they were extremely attentive and helpful regarding some allergies.

What's happend since last year?!?, used to be a fat cow burger, now it's a flat ferret burger!. The new chef hasn't got a clue. What a shame.

What a Gem. Some of the best Smash Burgers I've eaten in the middle of a wild flower meadow. Very reasonable prices, very friendly team. Everything cooked to order. If you are passing and see the 'The Fat Cow's sign, you really shouldn't drive past without checking it out. Fantastic.

Excellent burgers and fries just outside of Fakenham. We visited at 7pm on a sunny Thursday in July. The car park was full when we arrived, which was a good sign but did mean that we waited an hour for our food once ordered. The burgers were perfection, meaty, rich and perfectly balanced with accompaniments. The fries were equally excellent - skinny, crisp and salty. There was a decent selection of alcoholic (beer and wine) and non-alcoholic drinks. Everything was very fairly priced for the quality of what was on offer. There was ample seating on picnic tables(some undercover) and dogs were welcome. Seek this place out and you won't be disappointed 👍🏻

Well this is a little gem. When I found out we were doing a burger van in a field for dinner, I didn't have great expectations. But, possibly the best burger I've ever had later, my mind was changed. Ice cream with brownie bits was delicious too.

Read the Rave reviews. (No bookings taken) Rocked up at 7pm on a Thursday night only to be informed at least 55 minutes wait for a Burger. When asked if there was anything else we would like, I was slightly perplexed as they only do Burgers .🙃On the flipside plan, B was a Fantastic Thai restaurant in Fakenham Taste of Thai . This does get five stars.

Idyllic location and great ambience. Really friendly staff too. But most importantly, amazing burgers! Plus, super ice cream treats too. Just one word of warning - you really need to visit by car and there’s plenty of parking but its very difficult to walk to as there are no footpaths along on that area of the Fakenham ring road.

We had the most superb burgers here. This place is such a gem. It was super busy, so there was a wait on food…but what could be better than sitting in a wildflower meadow, in the evening sunlight, with a beer, listening to chilled music? The special burger and fat blue were superb, the chips were to die for (the right amount of salt and crunch) and the soft serve desserts were 🤪 Thoroughly recommend and will be returning

WHAT A SETTING! 😍 We went on a Saturday evening around 6pm as we went sure how busy they would be - it was just busy enough that there was a lovely atmosphere and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. We love a simple menu - generally it means the chefs value quality over quantity and that’s exactly the case. We had the Fat & Blue, Fat Gaucho (special), fries and a Berry Softserve. The burgers were juicy and so, so tasty! Fries were tasty and the softserve finished off our meal perfectly - even our Pup enjoyed a bit! The setting is just perfection on a sunny day! Such a fantastic place with an abundance of wild flowers surrounding you as you eat 😍 plenty of parking and lots of consideration for recycling. Staff were so lovely too! Hopefully we can visit again soon!

A great setting with a festival type vibe. My partner had the Fat Cow and loaded fries and I had the Fat Cow with Bacon and fries. The burgers were spot on, well seasoned and very tasty and the bun, salad and sauces accompanying the burger were also bang on the mark. The fries were delicious, crispy on the outer and exactly how fries should be. The service was very quick as well, highly recommended! I just wish I had taken pictures.

We saw a sign on the road whilst heading to Norfolk on holiday. We'd had to divert due to heavy traffic so this wasn't a way we'd been before. Hallelujah for road works! We popped in a couple of days later and had what can only be described as the very best burger ever. I'm a burger connesieur and have eaten them the world over. The previous best was the "Black Iron Grill" in New York. This knocked it off the top comfortably. The menu is limited as it should be, these guys know their burgers and know what works. Every mouthful was heavenly. It helped being in a wildflower meadow in the Norfolk sunshine with really friendly staff but would've been equally good in the rain with grumpy staff throwing the burger at me. Cooked to perfection, you taste the quality beef and every other ingredient in it. Nothing overpowers anything else. If you like burgers and are in Norfolk, please go, your mouth will thank you for the rest of your life. Heck, I might drive up from Hampshire just to get one! So, so good.

Would have been the usual 5 stars that Fat Cow deserves, best burgers I have had anywhere in Norfolk, but their fryer wasn't working and a burger without fries is not the full ticket!

The best burgers in Norfolk served by the most loveliest of people. Why not have burger and chips in the rain ( under a gorgeous tepee tent ) with a beer or a glass of wine and scrummy ice cream to round it all up?!! Perfect.

Popped in after seeing a random sign off the main road. We were in need of a stop off with our two young girls who needed to stretch their legs after a long drive. Had a drink (quality beer), cawstons pop (quality pop) and soft icecream for the kids. Cracking background music and lovely chilled atmosphere surrounded by meadow like grass. I could have stayed all afternoon ……. Will be back to try the food which looked great. It’s a cracking place and would highly recommend.

The husband said "best gluten free burger (especially the gf bun, because normally they're sh1te) I've eaten in a very long time." My bbq special (normal human) was bloomin delicious. Just high quality beef burgers done with skill. Straight up fries or loaded fries. Ice cream sundaes and cold drinks. All set in a wildflower meadow. It appeals to a wide demographic. We'll be back for sure on our way to or from the coast from Norwich. Thank you.

Went on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Best burger I've had in a long time in a lovely, laid-back setting and delicious local beers on offer. My kids are weird in not especially liking burgers, but they gobbled theirs up. One of them is coeliac and she was brilliantly catered for. (Veggie options available too) Fries were a little salty side.

Food is great… if they have any! Three times and they only had food once. Turned up 1 hour 30mins before close and sold out at the start of a bank holiday weekend. Great but make sure you go at like 5pm to actually eat!

No better burger in Norfolk. Fat and Blue burger is my favourite. Sunshine and beautiful scenery makes the whole experience.

Now this is a real 'MUST' if you are in Norfolk. It is well worth the visit. An outdoor 'restaurant' in a field. This was truly the greatest find on our trip through Norfolk. They make the best burgers I have ever eaten. We were totally amazed at what they could produce out of a small food van. And they even have toilet facilities.

We found them on the way from Cromer, fantastic spot with delicious food. Highly recommended!!

Gutted as didn't even get to try due to an 'at least an hour' wait time!!!! Beautiful setting and fab idea but please work out a way to avoid such high wait times as we would love to try Fat Cow but unrealistic to have to wait so long for something that's a guaranteed order and that's a burger 🍔 🤣🤷‍♀️

Some of the best burgers around in a gorgeous setting with great music. Unfortunately served by staff with an attitude verging on rudeness. Also wine and soft drinks served warm, not hard to get some ice from Morrison's. Really dissapointing.

Siting outside eating a great burger, what's not to like

I had the Fat & Blue, hubby had the Fat & Bacon. Both were delicious! Fries were a little on the salty side but not bad. Love the atmosphere here! With the music, the picnic tables and string lights I’d love to eat here after dark. We’ll be back.

We met some friends for Saturday lunch, was fairly quiet so no issues parking or having to wait. Food is nice, had a double bacon and cheese burger with loaded fries. I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 as I think with how much you pay, they could be more generous on the portion sizes of chips and size of burgers.

Great Burgers and location was fantastic, on a summers evening you can't beat it. It's a bit pricy for Hamburger and chips but for an occasional experience it's worth well worth a visit. We'll be going again next time we are up that way.

Best burgers ever! What a brilliant idea, we've been on holiday for a week and were thrilled to find this gem of a place. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very cool with the tents, seating and lighting. It's lovely to support local, forget fast food Burgers this is the real deal.

Some of the best burgers and ice cream I've ever had, definitely worth the wait. There was plenty of seating, and the place was packed for a Thursday night. However, make sure to get there early as waits were ~90 mins by 7pm.

Google directed us through the back entrance, I realised and was trying go back, by the mean time one of the staff came out and treated us in rude way instead of directing to the right direction. Shocked from the man’s behaviour. Spoiled the whole experience. Humble request to the owner, please put a note on the back gate “entrance through the next gate” or mark the accurate location on google map.

Our Granddaughter didnt want to go because she "only likes McDonald's". However she finally conceded that this was her best ever burger and is now a big fan. The carnivores in our party also enjoyed the burgers. The Halloumi burger was a huge slab but would have been much nicer as thinner stacked slices or sticks to brown more surface area. Personal preference but...... Great place to take the kids

Been meaning to visit for a couple of years, and today was the day! So glad we did, the food was amazing, the burgers so perfect, they were careful to make sure the order was spot on and the field was truly beautiful with all the wild flowers. Will be back soon :)

Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Juicy, meaty, lovely sauce, great size portion too! Chips as a side are a must, and finish off with some of the ice cream - the strawberry one is the best! We nipped in on a Sunday and at least half the tables were occupied so was a nice busy atmosphere. Highly recommended and worth visiting if you are in the area - you won’t regret it!

First look at the sign as you drive past makes you think "burger van". It is, but a whole lot more - in a wildflower meadow, with a tent and seating area, and truly fresh and innovative burgers and ice cream.

Delicious juicy burgers and scrummy soft serve, we had a blue cow & a fat cow burgers followed by a fruity cow and silly cow ice cream. Lovely place to chill and get a full belly.

Superb place for a seasonal burger in a flower meadow. Excellent atmosphere for young children and dogs as they can't really go wrong. Food was excellent though I would say a bit pricey but I guess £12 for a double bacon cheeseburger (no fries) is where we are now. I would say I was disappointed in the portion control as I collected my chips (£3.95) I noticed that someone else's chips were far bigger though it was the same side. Our portion was bordering on small, especially for the price. Paid on card and lots of seating, all outdoors except a few under a canopy.
