Britannia fish bar in North Norfolk

Pre-ordered and paid online. Just then went and collected at time stated, really nice and easy. We had fish and chips, 2x cod and 2x haddock. Fish was a really decent size, even the medium ones, large were like whales! All cooked to perfection and we demolished what we could, although we had to leave some as it beat us. Nice fish and chip shop, definitely worth a visit if in the local area. Will be back next time we are holidaying around these parts.

As a pescatarian, the Britannia Fish Bar is the only place in Fakenham that doesn't cook in beef dripping. So thank goodness it serves great food. The chips are especially good, creamy in taste and a mixture of soft and crunchy. The veggie burger wraps are excellent too when I don't feel like eating fish. The staff are friendly and start to recognise you, which is nice. A great takeaway!

Sorry guy the fish was lovely but them chips are horrible no idea what the potatoes are but they taste disgusting, somehow managed to be under cooked & burnt all at the same time When you first opened your chips were really nice then you changed to them steak cut abominations

Amazing chippy...went in Saturday night on way back from coast , great welcome, fish ready to go, potato fritters available and best prices around here by some way. Good quality and fresh...thanks guys .. will be back

Not been for a long time due to moving home, but drove through Fakenham, so we just had to stop. We wasn't disappointed, the quality & portion size hasn't changed and all at a fair price too. Loved it. Thanks.

Very friendly staff. Excellent chips, and loads of them! Chips were boxed up too, so really handy when in the car.

Stopped by here with only 30 minutes until they closed. We were a bit worried as we had originally stopped at another one close by and they were supposed to be open but were not. These guys were awesome. Didn't show any complaint at us walking in when we did, made delicious fresh fish and chips and had one of the better curry sauces we have had in a long while. Food was delicious and fresh, service was friendly and very fast. Restaurant has a couple 4 seater tables which when we entered were empty. Lots to choose from on the menu and pretty good prices! Would recommend.

Very tastey chips - Getting to add your own salt and vinegar was a great bonus too! Veggie spring rolls were basic but nice (sweet chilli, peas & sweet corn) good amount of onion rings as well

The best fish and chips in Norfolk.We travel from Swaffham every week and the fish and chips are always excellent,freshly cooked and a good size portion.Very friendly service.We look forward to our visit and everything is superb.Highly recommend no one should be disappointed.The owner and staff are a credit to the shop.

We've been staying nearby and wanted to place an order for 10 of us. The menu is on their Facebook page and we phoned an order through in advance to pick up at a specified time. I collected it and they had it ready bang on time. Really friendly guys and very helpful. This place is great as we had vegetarians in our group. Another local chippy we asked at, fry everything (including the veggie burgers 😅) in beef dripping. Britannia is perfect for mixed requirements.

Well I can say that other fish shops in Fakenham do not need to worry about this one just had cod and chips not good ! Cod was dry and not very fresh chips were smal, bits and under cooked
