Farrington's Farm Cafe in Bath and North East Somerset

AWFUL SERVICE!!!! Rude and disrespectful. We will not be returning to farrington. We haven’t been for very long time because the service is always a bit off, but we thought we would be give a chance. But sure enough it let us down AGAIN!! We will go to other cafes that are welcoming, friendly and respectful. Which are not far away from farrington. Farrington appears to be friendly little family run business, but it is actually not that it’s a large group that clearly treat their staff badly and it shows.

We loved the pumpkin picking, we have visited before. Had a great couple of hours here choosing pumpkins with the children and then carving them. We did stop for fish & chips, the chips were fine, the battered sausages were overcooked and inedible. Apart from the sausages we had a lovely day. The kids loved playing in the straw play area as well.

My friend and I visited for the Gert Lush cream tea, kept meaning to and we eventually did. It was absolutely delicious, staff are lovely and friendly, looked after mainly by Sandra, we thoroughly enjoyed our selves and going again before Christmas. Excellent value for money, even had to take some home, boxes supplied.

Absolutely shocking food from the “ chip shop “ if you can even call It a chip shop. Frozen chips cooked through awful taste. Sausage cooked and then dipped in batter not that there was any batter on it all for nearly £20 is laughable.They need to learn the basics again of fish and chips and the lady cooking needs some time off to maybe crack a smile horrendous avoid if I was you.

My daughter and I arrived at 12.30 . We were shown to a table and given some menus , then we were ignored. Two other couples came in after us . They were seated and then the waitress came back and took both tables orders . After waiting 1/2 hour , we walked out . Appalling as I work in a Farm cafe and would like to think this would never happen . Even if we are busy , you always get your drink very swiftly.

Best coffee, worth the wait! Thanks to Dawn and the staff for looking after us. We will be going back for lunch, as the food looked delicious.

We went to pick sunflowers and decided to some brunch. Staff were amazing and so friendly and the food was lovely too. We had a walk around all the little shops on site and brought some food in the farm shop. Highly recommend

My friends & l have been going to Farrington for years…we always enjoy the meals…but special mention must go to, waitresses ( & waiter) .Sandra, Sally, & George they are always welcoming, friendly & professional, we look forward to seeing them each time …..will continue to recommend to others 🤗

Recommended by our son and not disappointed, breakfast was excellent, the best we have had by far and we have had a few ! Quality ingredients cooked exceptionally well, served hot, which is a bit of a rarity and the yogurt served with the granola was delicious. To add to this a 20% discount Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays if you are over 66, what’s not to like. Will definitely be visiting again.

We visited for coffees and visited the main cafe. The cafe was noisy and uncomfortable. The chocolate brownie very dry. Coffee was decent. Service was friendly and effective

This a wonderful friendly café where you can be sure of a friendly welcome, all the staff is very interactive with customers, nothing is too much trouble, there is a varied menu with a good selection of hot or cold drinks and a wide variety of cakes. Great value for money especially on Tuesday to Thursday when pensioners get 20% discount. Plenty of parking would thoroughly recommend.

This place offers some really tasty food but it is on the expensive side. We visit here around once a year for the cafe and shop.

Always fabulous. Great atmosphere, caring, careful and super friendly staff and lovely food, whether coffee and cake (try the Midsomer Nortie!!) or full breakfasts. Always our go to place when in the area. We will miss it when back in Australia!

I had my baby shower booked here yesterday 27th, the ladies who served us were very accommodating. Lottie greeted up and had set up a table for 20 for us. We were allowed to put up a few of our own decorations too and bring our own cake too.. she asked us if we wanted any drinks to start and what time we would like the food to be brought out. The food was amazing. We had ordered from the main menu and had gurt posh afternoon teas.. Not one complaint regarding the food from anyone. Lucy also came out and was serving us with any extra drinks and was there at the end when we had time pay in separate transactions.. she made this run smoothly. Nothing ladies made our experience very warm and welcoming and we couldn’t fault our time her.. thank you ladies and thank you to the guys in the kitchen for catering for such a big group ☺️…

We had an excellent experience at Farrington's. We received a warm welcome and the top service was provided through out. The lunch menu is well varied with has lots seasonal dishes. I went for the pork belly and it didn't disappoint. Couldn't recommend highly enough. We'll be back again!

Lovely place all round. Lots to do! Shop and cafe linked together is great. Also have a great play barn for the kids. Chip shop is also on site, providing varied dishes! Definitely worth a visit if you are in or around Farrington!

Always a lovely visit to the cow shop! Staff are always smiley and so welcoming. Food is always fresh and hot and they are very good with gluten options, always helpful with options.

Had an amazing afternoon tea in the farmshop cafe after spending a couple of hours painting in the pottery studio . Served by Sandra who was just lovely and couldn’t have made the visit more perfect ! Definitely will be revisiting very soon.

Always have the best time when we come to farringtons. Food is always great all homemade. And the kids love the softplay. And outside space. Always recommend to friends!

This place is amazing!!! Taken my little ones to the Playbarn as I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place. There is just sooo much to do, you can make a day of it here.. From the outside farm, outdoor play area, the shops, restaurant, fish & chip shop… it’s like a little village 😍 My boys absolutely love the playbarn inside, the soft play is huge & so clean. The food is incredible too, really good portion sizes and value for money! The staff are so friendly and helpful, will definitely be returning again and bringing some more friends along.. I will be recommending this place to everyone! Thank you Farringtons!! X

What a fab experience my daughter and I had today when we visited Farrington for gert posh tea. Food was great. The 2 young ladies Libby and Sandra that served us were lovely. Definitely recommend

Booked for Sunday lunch at 12. We used to come here often but whilst the food is good we have found the service really gone downhill since it became table service. Many times we have been seated to never have anyone come and take our order even when we have reminded staff we were there. I’ve walked out of there on several occasions after waiting for over half an hour. So we decided to give it one more chance. We turn up on time on Sunday to be told they were running late because they were still doing breakfast. The lady who sat us said we could place our order and have our drinks if we were prepared to wait for the food. Yes fine we said. However 15 mins later when the girl came to take our order she said she couldn’t take our food order for another two minutes and also that there were many people in front of us waiting to order so she had to take their food orders first. Now in the normal course of events that wouldn’t have bothered us - but experience told us we were lucky to be served once and we had no confidence that anyone would come back and take our order for food. So we left and went elsewhere. We will not be returning. The farm shop part is nothing compared to what it used to be either. Very disappointing from what used to be a great place to eat.

Lovely lunch both having gluten allergies they were very adaptive for us which I very rare and lovely. Our waitress Sandra was very lovely making sure we were catered for even changing our order when we realised they could alter the menu for us.

Hello, well as you’ve asked, it could definitely have been better. When we initially sat down, we noticed that almost all of the cutlery was dirty. It was not simply that it had water marks from the dishwasher, but that the forks in particular had dried food stuck to inner parts of them. My knife also had a large lump of dried food on it. It seemed to us that they had been either washed in an overloaded dishwasher or that the wash programme was too short. The breakfast meals that we had were of good quality but the steak breakfast had to be returned as it was so overcooked as to be inedible. We asked the waitress to change it and she said she would but that there were a lot of orders and we may have to wait. My view is that we should have been prioritised, which in fact the chef seems to have done. The second steak was cooked as we expected and tasted very good. Unfortunately the waitress remained fairly miserable throughout but the waiter and other waitresses were very polite and helpful. I am not in the habit of complaining and I realise that the waitresses are not paid well. My dissatisfaction with Farrington cafe lies with the plethora of dirty cutlery and overcooked steak. We won’t be returning in the near future.  How was your visit to Farrington’s?

Recently went for Sunday lunch for step daughter’s birthday, they have a 6 week old baby, and it was freezing cold in there. Didn’t feel like there was any heating on at all. I had the roast beef bap, but wished I hadn’t, there were 2 very thin, very cold, slices of beef, surely it should’ve been warm, more rocket than my rabbit could eat. Definitely not value for money. The service was good, but didn’t make up for the poor food

Great steaks terrible cakes I normally drive from Bristol to get my steaks from the farm shop. 2 steaks normally cost £70-80 each time. They are always great when they trim the exposed dried meat. Sometimes they don’t. I got a cake this time I was there and it was really dry. I politely asked for a replacement and I got a No. turns out it was my family’s tastebuds fault not the bakers fault. Never mind. I’ll just have to find somewhere else to buy my steaks now.

I went to the farm shop because I like to support small local shops. I got 3 packs of frozen pork ribs and was gutted when I was not able to use them because of the pungent smell of the meat. I got fresh meat at this shop in previous shopping trips which was excellent but this was definitely disappointing. I got not answer to my email which shows a lack of care for the customers. I will have to find another farm shop.

Disappointed with the breakfast, only eggs available was fried, so no scrambled or poached!!! Worst pot of tea I’ve ever tasted. Suggest the manager visits Farleigh farm shop a couple of miles up the road to see how it should be done.

Extremely rude older lady at the entrance, blonde hair wearing short shorts, really not appropriate attire, and maybe needs a few lessons in the art of customer service. Amelia was lovely and accommodating, which was a breathe of fresh air, after such a hostile welcome from the other lady. Every member of staff from this point onwards were lovely, nothing was ever too much for Amelia, very hospitable. The food arrived very quickly and was enjoyed by all. It's a shame about our first impressions on arrival, as everything else was very pleasant. We would've scored five stars, but the first older lady let the team down! A lovely place to visit.

We had a lovely lunch at Farrington's Cafe yesterday (Sunday 15th Oct), the new Autumn menu is lush, and wasn't just "Sunday Roast" like everywhere else. Our server Sandra was fabulous, super friendly and helpful, and the food (Nachos with Chilli - mwaah!) and hot drinks really warmed us up. Place was buzzing with happy folk, a great atmos and a good vibe. Can't recommend enough.

We had a wonderful day pumpkin picking at Farringtons Farm today. A great family day out finished with a tasty, flavour-packed, bowl of homemade pumpkin soup! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Sandra.
