Wonderful shop with a huge range of fresh and delicious food. Could spend a fortune in there

Very well run, good decor,clean.

On our way down to Devon we stopped for a break and to get some food. Usually everything is 5 star. Got to the till to pay and noticed the strawberries was not looking good. The lady said to take some from another box. The second person at the till said they have had a lot of complaints about the strawberries. Why didn't anyone take them away. How many people got home to find the bad state of them and had to throw expensive strawberries in the bin

Stopped here on the way back from holiday to pick up some veg. 2.80 for a cauliflower which was no better than Asda. Checked the broccoli this morning all yellow bits on it. Off to marks then

Like many travellers we were not there for long but it is one of the larger farm shops. We just got sandwiches but there was much for the souvenir hunter etc.

Nice clean environment, good quality food, have had food at the cafe twice and both times it's been great. Polite and friendly, helpful staff. Much more spacious and relaxed than other services recommended.

We cannot understand all these recessions. You are completely ripped off here! Everything is way too expensive and when I look at the plates of food... everything looks soggy and overcooked (mass production) and I don't even want to talk about the coffee prices, it's an outrage! 1 star for being very clean and 2 for the fact that there are enough clean toilets for the masses of people.

First visit. Absolutely fabulous. Very clean. Staff so friendly and courteous. Will be back.

Brilliant lots of fresh stuff a bit pricey but if you like it fresh you won't mind

Wasn’t great. We were looking forward to food that wasn’t the usual fast food from services, unfortunately it wasn’t to be. The ordering was straightforward but the food looked nothing like the picture. I ordered the Brie & bacon toastie, which in the picture looked really full & appetising, however my toastie had what could only be described as a couple of shavings of Brie & only a couple of fairly overcooked pieces of bacon. The only thing that was in abundance was the marmalade chutney 🙄my kids meals were also much smaller than pictured & very disappointing. As someone else wrote, I don’t mind paying premium prices so long as I get food that matches that. This was not.

Bad behavior makes you feel like he is pushing you to eat. If you don't give them a tip, they will put a commission on your bill, but the food is, frankly, nice.

Stopped here on Saturday morning, extremely busy, used the self service to order the coffee, long wait and feels very impersonal now. I have stopped here before and liked it but not anymore. Coffee was expensive and not as nice as last time.

Beautiful rest stop! Food was tasty and fresh. Pet-friendly, handicapped accessible, and clean. Gas was priced a little high, but overall, a great stop.

This shop has very fancy local and international products, anything from groceries, delicatessen, butchers, to house products and clothing. They have tasty cakes, and I particularly love the chocolate and salted caramel cake, it never disappoints. The quality is very good for all the products we have purchased.

Really lovely place to visit! Although a bit expensive, the quality of food and veggies are premium. Everything we bought lasted a lot longer than food bought from your local lidl for example. The meat also taste different and a lot fresher! They also have very nice bakery section. Must visit!

Stopped on the way home to grab a bite to eat. Service from the smiley young lady behind the breakfast counter was amazing, just a real shame that your bacon was left under heat lamps and like tasteless chewy cardboard……

The building and the concept is terrific but sadly the food and the service is mediocre at best and overpriced. Very happy to pay £15 for a meal with a soft drink but this really was disappointing.

My breakfasts here are always absolutely spot on. Great place for a meeting too. Unlike any other services, this is actually a nice place to be. Friendly staff too.

Large, clean, lighted parking lot, shower, toilet, you can't pay with a SNAP account, only Visa or Mastercard! 23 pounds and 5 pounds back for coffee, food, etc...

First visit was awful. 2nd visit to give the benefit of the doubt and it was closed! Not everyone travels at day time hours. I won't be back.

Great place to visit. For us, it's a one and a half hour drive, but it was well worth the journey to go there. Lots of produce, to choose from...Nice place to eat out at too.

We visited Southbound service driving to Devon 4 days ago and today popped in to Northbound driving back home. Very impressed with both services: Freshly baked all sorts of bread and deliciously cooked meals. Unfortunately the prices in the Farm Shop are astronomical: an aubergine would cost you 6 times more than in Lidl. We could not find any prices for the cooked food apart from 2 daily specials. Regardless to this, we had to eat, so we were pleasantly surprised when we weren't charged a fortune for a cottage pie and a lasagne. As well I was given for free a sticky toffee pudding (because I had a daily special). All three dishes were absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. As well, we could not stop ourselves from buying focascia bread for home. All the staff there are very polite. Will we stop at these services in the future? - YES without hesitation

Had some food after a long journey from the north east and it was fantastic. Not sure what farm supplies the shop but it all tasted super fresh and delicious!

Lovely place, but I don't know who decides the prices but they are shocking compared to my last visit.. Tea 3.15 for mug not a pot 4.15 for a flat white, brownie 3.95 for a little square and so on, you seriously need to sort those prices out, disgusting the way you're treating 😑 people coming in....

Overpriced and disappointing quality. I bought a steak and ale pie that was all veg and gravy, one tiny bit meat in the whole pie for £5.95. Tasteless! Stingily filled sandwiches and very bland vegetarian options. An absolute rip off! My advice: make and take your own sandwiches for the road.

Stopped here on our way to Bath to use the restroom and grab some lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We had expected it to be just like your regular service station but it was far from it. It really had a natural vibe to it all and the food and restrooms were of great standard. Spacious, clean and had a fair bit to do.

The best cakes in the area and delicious ice cream, other products are also of very good quality, this is definitely my favorite service. Whenever I'm nearby, I always visit there

You can't call it 'Mac n cheese' if there's little to no cheese involved! Please sort it out, cheese is cheaper than meat! AND you're a Farmhouse stop...everything else makes it the best stop in England.

Two bacon rolls = £13. Honestly! No butter. Not toasted. Tepid. Roll tasted old. No garnish or tomato. Terrible dry brittle overcooked unsmoked tasteless bacon & unlikely of good provenance. I'd pay it and not complain if it was quality, fresh and lovely - like you get at Baffle Haus for eg. Absolute rip off outfit sorry as have had better at 2 star hygiene truck stop vans! £8 for two coffees on top. So disappointed. Never again as value is not an abstract concept unrelated to quality!

Tried chocolate cake and ice cream, both great taste and locally made but extortionate prices given they are made not far from site. I bet same products from half way across the world would be half the price

It was early on a Friday evening....the hot food was average and overpriced....and Owen and his colleague, whilst making my coffee, lacked integrity and dcency in their conversation making me and my family very uncomfortable. The whole experience was disappointing

Nice and modern shop with a lot of great quality products. There’s also a cheesemonger, a patisserie and a deli inside. So many local products and things from all over the UK. The prices are quite reasonable too.

Head & shoulders above any other service station I've been to. Farm shop is quite expensive though

Oh my goodness. SO NEEDED this. Food to please many 'fussies' like me. Absolutely delicious. You can't resist temptation. Yumminess and good for you, too. What's not to like? Xxxx

Lovely clean toilets, food a little expensive at £6 for a toasted cheese and bacon sandwich to go and little bits of overcooked bacon made it a big disappointment 😞

The best service station I've been to in the UK, for sure. It's not cheap, but food and products taste/feel quality so you largely get what you pay for.

Always a nice place to relax and eat. Highly recommend this place.

There is an outdoor terrace for the cafe with tables and chairs. This is the lake beside the terrace. A lovely, peaceful oasis on the M5 - my favourite motorway services. I always stop there for lunch to and from Devon. The food is good, local and ‘home cooked’.

Whilst the atmosphere and facilities at this services is second to none, I personally don't believe the price of many items is wholly justified. The farm shop is stocked with a plethora of different locally sourced items; from clothing, to toys, to alcohol. All of which seems to be of a high quality, however the price tags are not for the faint of heart - if you are looking for a high end, luxury services experience then do consider stopping here.

If only every service station provided this quality of food and service. So much better than all the rest. Good value, tasty food - the steak and ale pie with mashed potato, peas and gravy was excellent. Loos spotless, in fact the whole place spotless. Design of the building is fantastic and allows you to truly have a break from driving. My only suggestion, request - please will they buy up more of the shoddy, lacklustre, overpriced service stations out there!

Always stop here, south and northbound. Food is good and the shop is even better 😋

We stopped here yesterday around 8:30am, we had a bacon roll and a sausage and bacon roll and it was cold and bread was stale. Very disappointing.

An impressive selection of meats, cheeses, alcohol, condiments and other non-food items to choose from, at fairly reasonable prices considering its a farm shop inside a service stop. I would like to return to try different items next time!

We just had takeaway sandwiches and cake. Monday lunchtime’s me. My wife and I were both disappointed with our sandwiches. I had cheese and ham baguette but the baguette was too dense and chewy. My wife’s tuna and sweetcorn on granary bread was dry. We each had cakes and they were ok but nothing special. The courgette and lemon was dry and crumbly with a very sweet, sugary topping. Was not moist as we would expect. The chocolate and cherry tiffin was nice. We stopped at these services due to their reputation but were disappointed with these particular choices.

Do not cater for celiac sufferers. Is gluten free food but cant guaranteed cross contamination . Very dissatisfied

Hmm. Stopped for the breakfast ☕️🍽 £13 for 2 sausages, scrambled eggs, 1 black pudding, a small ball of bubble n squeak, baked beans, 1 cold slice of toast and a coffee. Food was lovely but not really value for money. Toast was cold, I know some people like it that way so I guess that's 50/50 🤷‍♂️ Service was lacklustre, nothing like the TV series. Last visit we walked around the nick nack shops (which was a while ago to be honest so I'm happy to be corrected) and was disappointed at how much of the stock was from China and elsewhere and all available elsewhere at much lower prices. I was really expecting to see arts and crafts from local manufacturers and artisans. Hopefully that's changed now, I didn't think to look today but next time I find myself in there I try to remember to look and I'll post an update. Outside, I only spotted a couple of EV chargers but there was work going on close to them so hopefully more to follow. Plenty of parking and it was clean and tidy considering the weather. Would I go back if I didn't need to? Based on todays experience, I'm afraid it's a No from me.

Not your typical motorway service station. Very pet friendly. The bread and cakes are fantastic. None of the usual big brands.

Really amazing stop. Something new and different. Wonderful place to walk your fur babies, my beagle loves this stop. Food is beautiful! Shop has so much choice, it really feels like you've popped to the shop instead of a service stop. Facilities are clean. There is accessible bathrooms as well as large family room including changing table and smaller toilet for the smaller people in your family. Attached photos are of the shop. I know there are a lot but it gives you a glimpse into what they offer. Definitely recommend this stop! A***

The vegan bakery range 😍 Also have vegan pie's, sandwiches, wraps, scotch eggs! So lovely inside with a lovely seating area ....completely forget you're in the services 😂

We love calling in to your services on our way to Stroud. The shop is lovely and has different items to purchase including quality food to take out. The food in the Restaurant was wonderful and always has been. However we were shocked of how the Restaurant side was.The chairs were scruffy and the number of tables that had not been cleared was unbelievable, never have we seen the Restaurant in such a state before. There were lots of food on the table and on the floor which obviously had not been cleaned up. We will still come again as we do love the Services you offer but I think the staff ought to take a bit more care in cleaning the beautiful eating area.

Great food, fantastic produce in the farm shop. Pleasant staff but simply not enough of them. We visited for food and the flatbread stand was understaffed - ingredients ran out and the queue of customers had to wait for someone to run to the kitchen for more. Secondly, the hot drinks area was understaffed with only one person making drinks. A large queue built up and the order screen had all gone red due to the long wait for each order. Tables remained unclean for prolonged periods.

Always stop at this service station when heading South. Food consistently good, tasty, served hot and service quick. Nice views from indoor and outdoor seating areas. Staff pleasant especially the slightly older lady who clears the tables. There is always something to temp me to purchase in the nice quality shop both edible or none edible. Plenty of parking and clean toilets. Well worth a visit.

I love these services especially the choice of locally sourced food and drink but I didn’t give it 5 stars because of chap who was the drinks maker on the left hand side cafe. He made a hot chocolate for a young girl before mine, practically through it across the counter with no lid on chocolate sloshed everywhere, no apology the poor girl had to ask him for another cup to put it in. The flat white he made for me was the worse flat white I have ever had. It was weak and although flat whites have minimal foam this had none and I had to pay £3.50 for the privilege!

Expensive food that's not great for what your paying! Not a truckers or family stop.

Lovely services, lots of choice for meals. The gravy and pie was particularly nice. There is lots of chocolate treats and truffles. Plus a pond if you want to sit outside . Would recommend.

Absolutely lovely place. Clean, spacious surroundings. Delicious food. Knocks spots of any other services I've been to and the fact that they donate to really good causes makes it even better. Why go to anywhere else?

I was travelling south bound last Wednesday and decided to have a look after seeing the recent TV series. I bought a slice of lemon cake to take out and it was absolutely fantastic. Light, moist and delicious. 😊

Made a special trip to Southbound, after watching the TV series, to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Dirty cafe floor, tables dirty & not cleared, windows looking out over lovely pond filthy! No cakes left at 2pm!! Coffee luke warm, but couldn't be bothered to queue up again for replacement. Clearly not enough staff. Really, reallly underwhelmed, as was expecting great things, as really enjoyed series.

Lovely place to eat with great views and walks with a massive pond in the middle with Lovely cenery. 6 undercover seating at front near entrance,great for people to eat their packed lunch or relax with a cold drink or have a coffee. Baby changing. Hot and cold food. Eat in or take out. No mcdonalds or KFC here though if kids want that

Disappointed. Ordering off a screen instead of talking to a person. The cheese and ham baguette looked lush on the screen. Half the size in real life :( This used to be our favourite services. Happy helpful people but now they are all robots behind a computer. Might as well have gone to McDonalds..

Great example of how motorway services can/should be. The Farm Shop is incredibly well stocked and represents very high quality. You do pay a premium for the high standards though.

This was my wife and i's first time at this service station/ farmshop (having seen it on the tv ) the place is brilliant and the food we got from the shop wasn't cheap but top quality and very tasty 😋 BUT !! I sat outside in the sunshine and my wife got in the queue for the food 🤔 here's why I gave 3 stars because of the waiting to pay my bacon & egg bap was completely cold! and I consumed it but it wasn't as enjoyable as it should have been ! if it was remotely hot !!! Now perhaps I should have complained 🤨but it's not the atmosphere/upset I wanted on my wife's day off from work 🤨

£5 for a small cheese sandwich, not even a meal deal. All the bakery just on show for people to cough all over and flies to land on. Plus nearly £3 for 1 croissant. Walked straight back out, go somewhere else unless you want ripping off.
