Farmhouse Cafe & Deli in Wiltshire

This was by far one of the best breakfast this year! Everything was so tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff are absolutely lovely, really friendly people and the café is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend.

First time visiting today. Food was tasty but I don’t think it was value for money. The toast wasn’t toasted at all, it was warm bread which was disappointing. For £6.95 I personally wouldn’t say this was value for money. I ordered a Diet Coke which was advertised on the menu but they didn’t have that, they offered Pepsi Max instead which was fine however it was poured from a big bottle. I’d expect a can or a glass bottle as I don’t like the idea of a drink I’m paying for being from a bottle that has already been opened….

Found this little gem as we were walking around Calne. Lovely and bright as you walk in. Greeted with a cheery Hello. Great selection of cakes - looked all home made. Great selection of coffees and teas. Hubby had the sausage roll which was huge ! He had brown sauce with it. I had toasted tea cake and hot chocolate. All lovely. Great price for what we had. Great selection on the menu to cater for either lunch or just a snack. Loved all the plates and teapots around and the beautiful mirrors

Food is very good, generous portions, service is generally friendly, good value for money. Can sit inside or out, a good place for breakfast.

i entered this cafe at 9:20 with 2 customers sitting. 2 waiting for take out meals i stood and waited and waited being completly ignored by not only the chef who walked past me behind but also the lady behind the counter .GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!!! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DIFFICULT would it have been to say"GOOD MORNING I WILL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY¬ so i left just to let you know i am part of a group of 24 gents who often in the area for a good breakfast THANK GOD we will NOT be coming to YOU ever after my experience today! your loss our gain

Spent nearly £5 on two pieces of cake which were the worst I have ever eaten. My second visit/purchase with no improvement. So will not be going back :(

I had Sunday Lunch at farmhouse I went for the roast pork the food was lovely cook to perfection.and the staff are really friendly and I had coffee it was lovely. I also bought apiece at carrat cake for my friend. She said it beautiful and moist. I really like here

We were passing through Calne and as the eat out to help out government offer was on we looked up on the .gov website and decided to try this place. Much better than just cafe food and we all left very happy. Great portion sizes, great value, central location. If you need to eat and are nearby then try it out. Looks can be deceiving and the food they serve would happily be served in any country pub.

WE visited here over the weekend, it was very busy but we felt so safe, tables well separately placed, the tables were clean and we saw them cleaning the tables, menus and chairs after ever person left. The toilets were very clean as well. The service from the girl at the counter was excellent, she told us the buzzer system to help serve food and drink safety and also asked us to sign in for track and trace. We had a breakfast and a homemade pork and apple burger. Both were delicious and very good value for money. The sausages on the breakfast were just excellent. We then finished with ice cream. This ice cream has to be the best I have ever tasted. Purbeck I think it was. Not had it before but will have it again when we visit.

My partner and I came here for breakfast. Everything was very reasonably priced and good portions. The food itself was average but nothing wrong with it, and for a relaxed breakfast out or a quick refuel stop it's perfect, especially for the price. The best thing is their very clear Covid safety guidelines/social distancing measures. We sat outside and felt very safe the whole time.

The staff were very friendly and the cafe was clean. The sandwich I had was bursting full of flavour, it is probably one of the best ham and tomato I have had for years (not to mention the cake which was oozing delicious unhealthiness). I am looking at going back tomorrow...I have wanted to go in for 9 years but never made it - now I have I want to keep coming back.

So first time at Farmhouse Cafe and not impressed, wanted a cold drink and most of the options on the menu ain’t available, sorry but don’t advertise what your not selling, so in the end ended up with a latte the total opposite of what I wanted. Food ordered and received in good timing, food wasn’t bad at all partner had breakfast and I had French toast with bacon and syrup. Food is good just shame about drinks

My husband and I popped in today for a quick lunch whilst killing a bit of time. I had an omelette whilst the hubby went for an all day farmhouse breakfast. Well what can we say?!? The food was fabulous, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We have popped in before, but this visit really stood out. It was one of the best omelettes I have eaten in a very long time and the flipped egg made my husbands day. The staff were really attentive and couldn't have done any more, so thank you very much, and we will be back very soon.

I remember this from long before it became Farmhouse Cafe and it still holds up just as well in my eyes as it did before I moved away. Lovely lady behind the desk, who was very helpful recommending me a cake (which was a fab recommendation! Try the spiced ginger cake!!!) and delivered top notch service with a smile. Nice varied menu, and a great selection of syrups as well for coffees and hot chocolates other than the basic caramel, vanilla etc. Another really good note, they use and sell local produce for their food, which is a highlight!!

The Farmhouse Cafe is a wonderful, community-focussed eatery that is well worth a visit! There is something for everyone on the menu and, together with the warm and friendly service, should be your venue of choice in Calne (Wiltshire.)

Called in for coffee,delighted that the two flat whites were pipping hot,and served with a smile. Lots of regulars having drinks. The menu looked very comprehensive and gluten free options are available. Cakes and ice cream on offer. Will certainly try their lunch time menu.

We hold our business networking meeting at the cafe every two weeks at the cafe and they are amazing. They look after us very well, and make my life easy when booking and ordering the food. The food is really good and the portion sizes are just right.We always get a smile and the team now know our coffee orders off by heart, what service is that!.

Food was OK I had 2 wait a bit of time chips was horrible only the second time been in don't think I be having chips again sorry and having 2 hear another parent shouting at kids has put me off

This Amazing Café is one of the friendlies cafés I have been in for a long long time ,The food is exquisite ,cooked And presented beautifully ,The staff are All friendly and polite ,You can here them laugh out loud From Time to time when you’re eating ,which tells me how content and happy they are to work There together ,Also has a wide range of pickle jams and cookies which are also all home-made and delicious ,I can’t Praise the café highly enough absolutely amazing ,a very happy customer

Great little cafe with a good range of cakes, pastries and hot food. There is also a small selection of deli products available to purchase. We had breakfast which was good value for money and serviced hot.

Great place to get coffee, tea & cakes, or a lunchtime meal of home baked Pies and Pasties, etc. There is a seating area outside where you can watch the world go by. Veryb friendly service.

Not impressed with the breakfasts here...either normal or veggie..they were more like child's portions.. The toasted teacakes were cold so had to send them back.. Cutlery dirty mugs dirty.. Not the best at all. Toilet don't lock..!

The food was fantastic and the service was great! We had a table of ten and all food came out warm and perfectly cooked!

Nos visitó en el día de la bicicleta de calne satisfacer. El lugar estaba repleto de ciclistas y motociclistas de todas las formas y tamaños. El personal era muy amable y acogedor. Mi jamón, huevos y patatas fritas era caliente y delicioso. Mi marido tenía una hamburguesa y patatas fritas, con local una ensalada abundante y variada, incluyendo arroz y sabrosa ensalada de papas.

El café estaba caliente y tenía un sabor encantador. El personal es educado y servicial. Los productos parecía bien vale la pena el precio ofrecido y bien presentado. El personal debe usar guantes cuando manipule la comida y los pasteles parecía muy rico.

Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast here this morning nice and hot and not badly priced at £4.95 the staff are friendly and accomadating and everything was cooked to order

We have been in a few times now for Sunday breakfast and found it is cooked well, and tasty. Highly recommended.

Paramos aquí para tomar un café y un pastel hace unos días. Por desgracia, el capuchino que apenas sabía de café pedimos atall/muy débil. Nos sentamos fuera, pero todas las mesas había ceniceros llenos de colillas y con colillas de nuestra mesa era muy wobbley y no arrancadas. La camarera vino a tomar nuestra bandeja, cuando aún estábamos bebiendo café y había un trozo de pastel inacabado en el plato en la bandeja y ella no dijo una palabra, ni siquiera preguntar si habíamos terminado este, que nos pareció bastante desagradable.

Estábamos en un recorrido y a algunos de los pueblos. Paramos aquí para el almuerzo. Toma asiento parecía en el extenso menú fue a la barra a la orden. El hombre tomó el pedido, me preguntó si me gustaría mi café con leche de tamaño medio o fuerte, muy inusual a preguntar que era un bonito gesto, p. Mi marido tenía coca cola Light. La comida salchichas, puré, arvejas, salsa, parecía muy bonito, dijo que era bueno aparte de las pieles de salchichas duras... diciendo que este ser a veces las salchichas de la carnicería local las pieles pueden ser duras. No comer carne, así que tuve la ensalada de queso de cabra caramelised, que tenía un gran trozo de queso de cabra con ensalada mixta, incluyendo lechuga, pepino, tomate, Esmirna y nueces con aliño de vinagre de una. Me lo disfrutamos la ensalada inusual.

We were heading for Costa when we had a change of heart and decided to try the Farmhouse Cafe instead. I'm so glad we did! Excellent food and great value. Thank you!

Had a really nice Sunday lunch here. We had roasted pok worth a glaze of honey and sage. The meat was tender and the homemade Yorkshire pudding were the biggest and best I have seen. The vegetables were fresh and potatoes really crispy. This for only £5.25. It was presented like a meal in a top class restaurant not a cafe. We decided to have a toffee apple cake and chocolate brownie to finish which were homemade and really lovely. The service from the gent in their was excellent and he was really friendly. We will be back.

I never thought I would write a review on trip advisor. However I do feel that this cafe is worth it. We want in here as a family of 4 and had lunch. We were visiting as we live away. We ordered a all day breakfast which was full of quality ingredients and very nicely cook. My parents has the cottage pie, they said it was one of the best they had had in cafe for along time and I had a homemade Mexican tomato bean soup which was full of flavour and really nice. We had then to have some of their lovely cakes. We had a malteser slice, toffee apple cake, carrot cake and a cheese scone. All were a delight. The service was really nice and friendly and it was also very good value. They sell some lovely jars of jam and chutney as well. A really lovely cafe.

Came on the morning of 23rd April. I came with a friend and my 10 month old son, we were greeted by the most lovely lady who happily pointed out where I could find a highchair, she smilled and waved at my baby which he loved. I was told the menu was on the table and I could order at the till. At the till I asked the lady if she was alone? and with a smile she told me another member of staff would be starting soon. I couldn't believe how smoothly things were running with only one member of staff on duty! she was amazing. Our barn breakfast was delicious and came out after a reasonable time. Also had the cheese scone and a rise crispy square both were mouth watering. Cant wait to come back! I hope that lovely lady gets recognised for having excellent customer service. thank you.

We visited here today as a work party for breakfast, we ordered a selection of bacon rolls and breakfast. The service was friendly and very helpful. the fresh bread was very tasty. The butcher sausages on the breakfast were excellent. The coffee was perfect as we were offered medium roast and strong so we all could have what we liked. we will be back when we need to meet again. we would recommend this to all of you.

We visited here for lunch, we had to wait to be served at the till but we did not mind as the staff really seem to like what they did. They were very friendly and helpful. I had a pasta dish and my friend had a breakfast. The pasta was tasty and well cooked. The breakfast was great, the sausage and bacon were lovely and good quality. We finished with a lemon cake and a shortbread which were homemade and were lovely. We will be back for a Sunday lunch one week. Very good value and a really nice proper cafe.

Went to the cafe for dinner.we had ham roll and a tea the roll was very nice and the staff very friendly

Went with my dad brother and a friend ordered two teas glass of water(no bottled water in a coffee shop?) a round of toast a ham sandwich and a slice of cake the toast looked ok however the cake was dry and the ham despite amazing bread was terrible all fat and the tiny bit of meat was extremely dry so despite only coming to 9.90 the lot would recommend looking elsewhere

We came here for a breakfast and won't be going back. The service was slow and not very friendly and it expensive. That would have been fine though if the food was good but it was horrible. We had cooked breakfasts - a barn breakfast and farmhouse breakfast. The only nice bit was the tomato. The sausage was very tough and dry (like it had been cooked before and microwaved so the skin goes hard and separates from the meat); the slice of toast was barely toasted and came on the plate covered in tasteless, pale baked beans so you had to eat it as mush rather than toast. Yuck. The hash brown and black pudding on the farmhouse breakfast were both soggy and the bacon was very flabby. Two gross breakfasts and two hot drinks for £15! Money not well spent

Popped in at lunchtime for a bite to eat and a cuppa. We had 2 baguettes I had chicken tikka wife had bacon and brie. Both were very substantial with a salad and tortilla chips. I was so stuffed we had to have our 2 pieces of carrot cake to take away. We had that later and it was soo good. Probably the nicest cake I have had. To sum up its clean got very friendly staff and good reasonably priced food. why waste your time going to the over complicated national concern opposite for bland overpriced food and drink when you can come here ?

As much as I love coffee shops with all of their fancy drinks and cakes, I love a good old cup of tea more. There are some early mornings when only a cup of tea and a slice of hot buttered toast will do! This place fits the bill. No frills and drinks with fancy names or loud music or energetic staff, just the owner with his teapot and bread knife. And usually the company of a couple of elderly ladies chatting over their breakfast or a workman enjoying his bacon butty. The toast is always from a fresh loaf of uncut bread meaning it is always thickly cut. And because it isn't too busy early on your order arrives quickly without a fuss. The lunch menu is full of home-cooked meals which look and smell delicious, although I have to admit I haven't tried any of them. They are a good price and appear to be substantial. There are a good range of cakes and breads that are sold in the cafe/bakery, but I believe these are bought in rather than made on the premises which is a shame. Baking is a dying art form and we lost our only 'proper' bakery some years ago in Calne. However, there is a range of jams and chutneys that are sold in the shop which is a nice touch as well as other gifts. It's great to see that Costa have some competition and that this place seems to be getting by. It would be nice to see it a little busier, but people are still swayed by bigger chains. Pop in and give them a chance. Your pocket will benefit.

This opened against the odds opposite costa and it seem always to be busier that the name that shall now not be mentioned. I always go to the little shops rather than the chains as they need all the help they can get. This was a great place. A really good range of cakes, fantastic coffee and it sell a range of gifts and jars which really give it an edge. I had a breakfast which was really tasty with 100% pork sausages and really thick bacon and free range eggs. My partner had a soup which was nice too. we will be back and yet again it was really nice with great freindly staff.
