Been a while since visiting this pub. And can say not disappointed! Looking for somewhere cosy and relaxing to eat. The service was amazing very friendly staff. And as for the food amazing!! very generous portions had to wrap some to take home which wasn't a problem. Definitely recommend

Friendly staff, had to wait to pay the bill but everything else fine. Very dog friendly which always makes me a happy customer

Great staff, very friendly and chatty

A slightly peculiar pub. From the outside it offers traditional country pub promises, but the interior is a bit more early 80's hotel. However, do not be put off as once inside the staff are warm and welcoming. A small but good selection of hand pulled ales will appease the beer connoisseur. The real jewel in this pu s crown is the food. A good selection of everything as well as daily specials. Friday was burger night and it did not disappoint. Two home made burgers, salad, bacon, brie and a garlic mayonnaise was the double stack burger I went for and it was huge and all together delicious.

We’ve been for a quick tea tonight I had a salmon salad WELL for £15.95 it was shocking it was basically a bag of salad with a small slice of salmon and partner had steak pie and chips was like a child’s potion. Well not visit again!!

It was very nice, we were part of quite a big group so it was understandable that things we harder than a family of 4 etc The food was lovely but the portion was quite small, and it was warm not hot. The atmosphere was a bit boring nothing really going on, needed some music playing at least. But overall it was lovely and the food tasted great. Would recommend

Have had a couple of meals now since moving locally last month Really good food, we had the trio of lamb, salmon and steak in our group Everyone gave 5 * Julie the landlady is running a nice village pub, all staff and locals friendly too

Good unfussy pub, great menu, good service, though sometimes you have to wait for a member of staff to appear from the bar in the other half of the pub. Try the salmon sizzler, but make sure you have the appetite for it.

Only popped in for a drink while out on a little random drive from wrexham will definitely go again lovely atmosphere felt very welcome staff and locals are real nice

I had the steak pie with rock hard pastry, (probably microwaved I was told); but packed full of steak in a lovely gravy, with delicious chips like I haven't tasted for a long time anywhere and a welcome carrots and peas on the side. I'd eat there again and take the steak pie again more than likely.

Ten of us went for dinner at the Farmers Arms last night. Both the service and food were absolutely fantastic!! I had sweet chilli chicken sizzler, with wraps, dips and rice and it was fabulous! I was trying to be good and resist the desserts, but when I saw the pavlova, I couldn't resist! Crispy delicious meringue flavoured with vanilla, covered with lovely soft Chantilly cream and then  fruit and sauce on top. I think this is the best dessert I have had in some time. It was marvellous!!

Walked here from the canal and welll worth a visit. Very friendly staff and very dog friendly as well. I didn't have a meal so can't comment on on the food other than it looked nice! If you're looking for a rural, friendly pub - you've found it.

We went today for lunch it was very nice, but the room was cold!! Only ones there reason being i would imagine the web site said open 4 00 and they were open 12 2 30 very nice sizzling lamb chops, beautiful, mash broccoli

What can I say, Wow ! We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch today. Nice warm greeting, clean well presented table. More than enough choice on the menu throughout. Our meals came hot and generous portion, well presented. Thank you, we loved it ❤

Honestly we go to quite a few cheshire pubs. We're looking for a place for dinner on the way back from Shrewsbury. Service was really attentive, good value for money. Really solid portions. Great with the kids. Pie and chips was awesome. Nachos incredible. The cajun sizzler x2 was fantastic. Thanks for a lovely evening and suprise how lovely it was.

Absolutely wonderful. 7 of us have just had lunch. The size of the meals was fantastic, the taste was delicious and the service was second to none. Highly recommended.

One of the best meals I have ever had. Fantastic menu, piping hot and great portions. All staff were very friendly, helpful and very professional. My grandchildren (10 & 8) love going to this pub because they're treated well by the staff. Will definitely be returning

This has got to be one of the friendliest and most welcoming pubs we have been in. We took out 5 dogs with us. Staff were great the locals were so nice came and chatted with us. Made to feel like you belong. Great beers 🍻 the food well it was amazing. I had pie and it was a large slice of home made steak pie 🥧 with chips n peas and gravy. Hubby had steak cooked to perfection... All I would say is make sure your hungry great value excellent food. Can't wait to go back in Oct/Nov time... Thank you so much for an excellent experience xx

Great place, a hidden gem to be truthful, you are very unlikely to accidentally find this fine establishment as its hidden away in what seems like a totally different world although only minutes away from Nantwich..... I look forward to my next visit

Not been to this pub for over 30 years since a teenager and my friend and her parents used to live on the estate across the road. Lovely to see its still going strong. Good menu and specials board. Nice selection of drinks too. Luckily weather was good so we sat outside sk didn't see restaurant area, but bar was nice.

Beautiful Sunday lunch. Tasty beef and fresh veg presented so differently. Excellent value and can recommend. The only disappointment was we couldn’t eat a further course! (There’s always next time 😀) Small point. Please update the prices on site.

A good traditional local pub serving a good range of beers and excellent home cooked food. We had the Sunday roast which was one of the best I have had in a pub or restaurant. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding to die for, beautiful tender beef and a good selection of vegetables. The puddings were amazing. Lovely home made Bakewell tart and a huge pavlova with home made meringue. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back.

Great local pub with friendly staff and a quiet and safe atmosphere. Solid range of beers and wines available at reasonable prices. The bar area is traditional with a roaring log fire, pool table and plenty of seating at tables and the bar. The restaurant has quaint cubbyholes along with larger tables evenly spaced and didn’t feel crowded. The food on offer is the normal fare for a good country pub and it’s always tasty and served in a timely fashion with a smile. There is more than ample parking and outdoor seating. All in all a great little pub with great staff and dining options.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. One of the nicest roasts I've had in a pub. Roast spuds and Yorkshire puddings are often the let down but this was all as good as I could manage at home. Excellent!

Had meal today I had lasagne which was hot and very tasty. My mother had Liver and Onions with mash and peas and carrots. It came literally swimming in gravy which was tasteless Presentation was not good at all. Needless to say my.mother picked round it and left it. The waitress was very pologetic and kept saying sorry you did not enjoy your meal. When we came to pay they did not charge for the Liver and Onion meal which I thought was very decent of them. We have been here before for meals and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Think it was just one of those days when this meal did not rise to the occasion.

We both had excellent meals,young lady waiting on was lovely,we were really made welcome,We will be back soon.

Had Sunday lunch here today for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really good, traditional home- cooked food, served nice and hot. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money! Have booked a pre- Christmas lunch and look forward to returning again soon.

Called at the farmers last night thought I'd get my tea I was surprised when they brought the meal it was big it was lovely and the service was second to none very friendly staff oi enjoyed it thank you the farmers for a first class meal

A true gem of a local pub..with great restaurant and a big dinning area Chris on the bar counter was very friendly and she made me feel immediately welcomed. I decided to have a meal and sat in the local lounge area with my pint of White Rat, a Yorkshire cask ale and looked through the menu. A burger was beckoning so I went for the Farmers Arms "steak burger" and it was very good. Overall a warm and friendly pub with great staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Thanks Chris for a very enjoyable experience and well done to you all ! Pity I live so far away otherwise I'd make it back here often...

Great pub to park up go for a walk then come back for a refreshing pint. Great beer we both had fantastic sandwiches served by fantastic staff. We will be back to sample more food and beers.

Food is fresh and cooked to perfection. Pleasant staff. And well priced.

Food is always amazing and great value, one of the best in the area food quality wise. Now under new management and back to its best, food is once again superb, staff are great and the beer in in good order too. Well worth visiting (have the cheesecake if it's on!)

Always enjoy a meal here. Excellent menu and service. Nice drinks selection. Once you have had the sizzler lamb chops it's hard to order anything else. My nephew enjoys the burgers too. Great for families or couples. Love it ☺️

Great, I was worried they'd be too busy preparing for Ravenfest to open their kitchen, but it turns out they're very popular. I can see why, the food, beer, and service were all excellent.

What a meal, best chicken and mushroom pie I've had for a very long time. Large portions (too big to have a pudding!), good value for money. Definitely worth going

Had a meal with my daughter and granddaughter on the 15th I found the food to be very nice and good generous proportions and the staff where lovely will definitely go again

Been meaning to write a review for ages. Can't fault the food at the Farmers. It's our local and we are so lucky to have it. Since taking over during lockdown, Julie has brought the place to life. It is impeccably clean, ladies toilets are always fresh and welcoming with an "essentials" basket. As for the food.... I have to admit, since lockdown 3 eased we have probably averaged a meal once a week at the Famers and between my husband and I, we have literally gone through the menu! We cant fault a single meal, always hot, cooked perfectly and served with a smile and friendly chat Our favourites are fish and chips, lasagne, sizzling fajitas and burger with all the trimmings. Oh and we always share a portion of halloumi fries for starters! Puddings are incredible although I am usually too full for one but I have had little tastes of the enormous strawberry pavlova and cheesecake, both beautiful. Credit to the chef and long may he last! My only request is that some alcohol free prosecco is stocked as I really dont always want to drink and so sometimes I find myself just on soda water!

It was a quiet Sat afternoon in the pub and we hadn't been before and thought that it wasn't very popular. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and the service (Helena?) was excellent. 👌
