We were seen to straight away by Ella who take a drink order which were the pornstar martini and a lychee and rose martini and they looked as good as they tasted the food was also impeccable served by Matt had great table manners and was very polite. Friendly and welcoming staff on arrival. Staff were patient and accommodating and service was quick, minimal waiting for a large party. Juan was very attentive and friendly too! Ella also ensured we were settled and catered for.

Lovely place and we come here often. Popped in for drink and garlic bread . Ordered medium glass of wine. Served large and more expensive wine than ordered. £14.33 for Pinot Grigio 🤷‍♂️Staff lovely but ..

Service was wonderful, but seems to be a weird thing where you don’t automatically get offered a child’s menu if you come in with a child. I saw others after us and it was the same. Which was really odd. Otherwise food was wonderful and the waiting team were attentive (and didn’t have any issues providing said child’s menu just seems policy not to offer it). Also only glass available for children to drink out of.

Ordered a Chicken Caesar salad which came swimming in dressing, therefore ruined. A lone diner in the restaurant ate like she was eating from a dog bowl, lifting a bowl and continuing to lick its contents, whilst being lairy on her phone shouting and swearing. The poor couple next to her trying to have a romantic meal to no avail. Not ideal and waste of money

The food is good but not outstanding. The price is not in line with the quality and service being offered. We arrived at around half 5 and the place was pretty much empty. There was no friendliness from anyone and everything felt very mechanical and light touch. Staff seem unhappy, but that’s just an observation. Some in the group ordered seafood and scallop risotto. The food arrived within a reasonable time but without the scallops so the waiter asked the chef to fix it and ended up bringing 4 scallops on plate, one for each risotto. As an apology we were offered 3 extra scallops which was a bit bizarre considering we were 4 people ordering the same thing. Desserts are charged at £10 each which could be “tolerated” if it wasn’t for the fact they are micro sized. Not ok. Throughout the meal it felt like the staff was disconnected from the customers and when asking for their help, we always had to wait long periods for someone to notice us. It would be understandable if the place wasn’t so quiet. At some point, the maitre d realised we needed help and shouted from the bar (5/6 meters away) “do you need anything” which seemed a bit rude. No one asked if we were ok, if the food was good or if we needed anything which again could be understood if the place was packed. My overall thoughts are: if the experience is average, don’t sell it as a fine dining experience, it causes disappointment. If you want an exceptional Mediterranean dining experience you have better options in Knutsford. Would I go back? Definitely not.

I’ve written a review of Gusto before but I want to tell you again that to me, this is an ideal venue for couples, small family get-togethers or business lunches (if they still exist!). I’ve realised that they tweak the menu once in a while, which keeps me coming back for more… I like their veggie options (although I’m not a veggie myself)…. Salads really good if you want something fresh and crisp. It’s a noisy place with kids being welcome which I really like. It’s great for people watching, especially if (like me) you’re quite boring. We always get a warm welcome; there’s a bearded chap called Juan who I like a lot; knowledgeable but quiet and keen to get the order right. Anyway, I think you get the drift… I like this resturant a lot. Thanks for reading.

Juan always looks after us when we dine at Gusto Knutsford. Service is always super quick and Juan always remembers that a member of our family has a gluten intolerance and advices accordingly. Juan is always so welcoming and friendly and we love returning on a regular basis.

Me and my wife went for a meal tonight, the restaurant is lovely, the food was amazing, and the staff were fantastic, Lidia couldn't have been more attentive, and the Sticky Toffee pudding was the best we've ever had!!
