Went for a birthday meal with the family, sadly it was a total let down. The food was average at best. Carbonara was ok, but the lasagna that was ordered was disgusting, the pasta was burnt to a crisp and the inside was lumps of grizzle and tomato, it was just awful. On to the service or lack of it, We were seated quickly and orders taken. We ordered drinks which took an age to arrive, we were half way through the starters when they finally did. After the mains arrived that was the end of the service, no one came over to ask if we were ok or food was ok, no offer for further drinks, no offer of a desert menu after we'd finished the mains, so after waiting for a while we got up and left, couldn't get out of there quick enough. We paid as we left, even then no question of was everything ok. To add insult, there was a service charge on the bill which I only noticed when I got home. Outrageous! There are so many options in Knutsford, go elsewhere

A most enjoyable meal had at Gusto Knutsford with my husband , been manny times before but this was the 1st time using my Platinum card and it’s just as advertised 40% off and a free bottle of Presecco . What’s not to like 😁🥂

Food was nothing special but service was horrendous, we were four people and had to wait for an hour to get our food,and because it was a week day it wasn't even busy. Never go back there again.

Food was questionable, Seabass fillets very small compared to other Restaurants in the chain. Tuna steaks past their best with slimy texture. One of party felt ill all night after having the Tuna. Don’t bother with the cannoli, I asked if they were freshly made and was told they were. The shells had come out of a mass produced box and the pistachio filling only had a few crushed nuts on each end instead of mixed into the filling. 12.5% service charge automatically added.

We had a great lunch for a joint celebration, the staff were attentive, the food was great and we felt like we could have stayed all afternoon. There was no pressure to vacate the table and we all had a great time- including the kids making their own pizzas.

Really great all round. We walked in about 9pm and they were able to accommodate us, didn’t feel rushed to order either which was nice. Menu had a lot of choice and all the food was excellent. Service was friendly and cheerful Would recommend and would go back

Lovely meal last night, food better than when on holiday in Sorrento!! Ahmed our waiter was excellent. They didn't have many customers for a Friday night but I feel this may be due to their midweek offer!!

The food was amazing!! I asked for my steak blue and it was more medium rare but it was still tasty as anything so no actual complaints. Well priced and really friendly and attentive service. Lovely clean restraunt, 100% would recommend.

Lovely meal for 6 in full restaurant on Saturday evening. Everything was perfect , especially the service from Juan who ensured that our guests were well looked after in every respect. Outstanding service!

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere - the pasta was 🤌

Food was lovely. However, the sea bass was extremely small. The big problem I had was there was a waiter there that had no clue what he was doing and kept bringing other people's food to us. Then, when the bill came, it had a 12.5% service charge already added plus a £2 charity donation charge on. We told them to give us a new bill with the service charge and donation taken off. When the new bill came, they still had £1 charity donation on it. It is an absolute cheek of them to automatically add these charges.

Visited for my birthday meal. Ordered the fillet steak and the meat was clearly rotten. When we raised our complaint to the management we were told that there was no possibility that the meat was bad and continued to quote their food storage and safety protocols to us. He suggested maybe it was the butter! The manager gave us the impression he believed we were after a free meal. Disgusting food & disgusting service

We've recently joined the platinum club and been going fairly regularly. My daughter absolutely loves the kids menu and really enjoys making her own pizza at the table. The Sunday roast is delicious, with the carbonara coli cheese being an absolute winner. The staff are always very friendly and efficient.

Gusto's has been one of our preferred restaurants in recent times becuase of the high quality food, friendly service, great atmosphere and prime locations. For the first time yesterday we came away disappointed in the quality of food at the Knutsford restaurant. It should be obvious but pizzas need a decent amount of topping especially tomato and cheese, skimping on these basic ingredients on all 3 pizzas resulted in them being dry and boring and pretty inferior. The other Romesco salad dish had also suffered in both amount and quality of the ingredients with only a thin layer of topping around the rocket base. So with all mains 'downgraded' it cannot be attributed to a one-off. We will try elsewhere next time and hope Gusto's can recover.

A very nice Italian restaurant in a beautiful town. The building is gorgeous inside and out which is usually a good sign that the food will be the same and it was. One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back 💯

Had a really nice Sunday lunch here. I thought the price was really good, but the portions explained the cheap ish price. Very small. However it was very tasty and the team were very good.

I honestly can't think of anything I'd knock about Gusto. Perhaps (ridiculously) the portion sizes? But they're designed to encourage you to have a starter and a dessert, as well as a main. But the food is really excellento.

Very hard to rate this place fairly, we were a party of 20, organised by my daughter in law for my sons 40th birthday. I confess I am not a big fan of pasta, so I decided on the rib eye steak, we were Waiting almost 90 minutes before food was being served and although beautifully cooked and tender my steak was very small and the potion of french fries would hardly cover a tablespoon. I had to remind the waitress that I had ordered a peppercorn sauce, she apologised and returned with a miniscule sauce boat that resembled dolls house crockery. At £6:15 for a pint of lager was very expensive when the same drink is served for £4:90 at the Ring o Bells. Furthermore they added a service charge to the bill. I think it was overpriced for what people were served .

The food was authentic and delicious at this Italian restaurant. I loved the rich flavors but smaller portions of their dishes. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, but the music was too loud for my taste. The service was friendly, but not very attentive. It took a long time to get our orders and our bill. Overall, I enjoyed the meal, but I wish they would turn down the volume and speed up the service.

Dirty plates, poor quality food, just horrible

Good good but very small portion of crab pasta for £20. With one glass of wine each, one course and service charge £60. Service was disinterested at best. Nice venue.

They didn’t honour the 50% off food as I wasn’t a member for more than 24 hours as they said it was in their Ts&Cs. I emailed to tell them the 24 hour rule is not clear on their site and they basically patronised me saying that I didn’t see it. I showed them screenshots of my ‘journey’ it was never mentioned anywhere. I also never asked for anything back I just wanted to let them know it’s not clear. Only to be told I didn’t see it. i still don’t know where it says that. But it’s ok! Piccolino has it too and they honour it as soon as you download their app!

We really are blessed with this restaurant in Knutsford. Consistently good food and wine! Great team and always a great time! Highly recommended!

Service was excellent location excellent a few young children in there very loud food was OK my pizza had to be reheated but wife's lasagne was excellent

Food was excellent (I had the scallops, pork and honey roasted plums), I had the best non-alcoholic margarita I've ever had, and the place was buzzing on a Wednesday night because they were offering 50% off so atmosphere was great. Service was however a little slow. First they couldn't find our booking, then our table was booked at 8pm and we didn't get seated until 8:25pm, some of our sides were forgotten about and we struggled to order more drinks and pay, there was also a long gap between starter and main. Overall still very good and I understand it was busy.

What can you say about Gustos that hasn't been said before? Love the setting, the food is great especially the pizzas :-) Staff are superb -- all round excellent experience!

The best restaurant in Knutsford. The food was excellent and we had such a lovely waiter who couldn't do enough for us. We've been here about 5 times and it gets better every time.

Really nice place, with great service and great food. It was a bit on the expensive side, but it's almost Christmas, so we splashed out.

We went for a works Xmas party (14people)and they catered very well for us.

Atmosphere depends on where you are seated and the time if day. Service was ok but we couldn't find anything that excited us on the menu so we had a drink at the bar and left.

We have dined here many times and usually it's alright. We don't expect the epitome of Italian cuisine as after all Gusto is a restaurant chain. However I feel it is fair to expect a certain standard for the price and service charged. Pate starter was OK but a tad dry with no accompanying chutney or sauce option. Lasagne and ragu pasta mains were quite small for the price charged. Dessert was.frankly a joke and not as expected. However the service was the worst we have ever experienced at Gusto Knutsford. Reception was fine and polite. Unfortunately the waiter with a dark beard and balding (no offence intended re appearance)was vacant in expression and unwelcoming. We.felt an inconvenience to his day. We declined the service charge and asked for a lemonade to deducted, which was ordered but wasn't provided. We feel he wasn't paying attention or not interested. However, as we were leaving his face lit up like a Christmas tree when two younger ladies at the next table were ordering their drinks etc. Lastly the staircase to the toilets needs as a minimum a repaint ,it is very poor and smells of stale cooking oil. Please don't ask me to reach out to gain more info as this should not have happened in the first place. Probably won't bother again.

Fantastic service and delicious food!! The humous starter was very tasty and the buger/fries was spot on!! Even though we were stuffed, we shared the brownie dessert and this was melt in the mouth. Will ve back again no doubt about that.

Absolutely lovely place. The cocktail I had, 'Cherry and ameretto' something was absolutely perfect. On this occasion, we didn't eat, but the food that came out near us, looked and smelt lovely. Can't wait to visit again.

I am very disappointed about gusto. I booked two weeks ago for a roast dinner at 4pm for my birthday and wedding anniversary. When we got to the restaurant, the waitress said they had sold out. We left the restaurant and went somewhere else. Terrible service. Thank you to the Bontanists down the street for saving the day.

Waiter didn't come over as often as they should have to offer drinks, had to wait a while to get the attention of staff for the bill amd the wait time seemed longer than usual but food stunning 11/10 and great atmosphere

Absolutely amazing food. The sharing platter has the loveliest of burrata, really creamy. The lobster bisque on the ravioli very tasty. Service was a little slow but it was very busy. The acoustics due to it being busy and loud makes it difficult to hear the person across the table from you x

Food, which was Ragu and Carbonara was not great at all. Both dishes were very dry, minus enough sauce, bacon etc. My own dishes truly outclass these, according to my husband. Very small portions also. Not a place I would visit again. Staff were polite.

Dinner in Gusto tonight. The service was great and we had a fantastic waiter but the food was truly disgusting. The main course was tiny and stone cold. Really disappointing.

Beautiful restaurant. 5 star food and service every time. Fillet steaks are the best we’ve had. In addition, recently had a poor meal elsewhere and called in Gusto on the way home just for dessert and coffees. As ever, completely reliable, top notch food and staff were welcoming and lovely, which saved the evening. Somewhat pricey menu but 100% worth every penny. Never had a bad meal so recommend to anyone and everyone.

Me and my girlfriend came here as we were having a spa break over the Easter bank holiday, I was quite torn as all of the menu sounded great but I ended up going with the carnivoro pizza. I’m glad I did because it was potentially the best pizza I have ever had! Drinks were great and my partner really enjoyed her mushroom pasta as well!

Had a take away, garlic bread, Caesar salad, zucchini fries. The Caesar salad had two flies in it and it was warm, so threw that away, the garlic was so spicy like for some reason my little girl wouldn’t eat it and I then had to cook something else for her, and the zucchini fries were soggy but that can’t be helped I guess in a plastic container. Very disappointed, but mostly by the flies in the salad as it’s happened a few times, I don’t understand why the salad isn’t washed thoroughly, I really do love a Caesar salad but I can’t enjoy it at ease from gusto’s as I have to keep checking for flies, that tend to blend in with the dressing.

We decided to try it out for lunch as we've not been before and had some time whilst the dogs were at the groomers. A few things weren't available which was fine, made it easier to chose. However, the starter finally came and was tasteless. (Partner had scallops and I had the king prawns), luckily waitress brought some chilli flakes over. Then, an extremely long wait for the mains - you expect some speedier service at lunch but this was slow even if you'd been in for an evening meal. It finally arrived (55 minutes after we came I'm to the restaurant and 5 minutes before we had to go). Oh god. It was bland and dreadful. My partner had the tuna steak which he usually loves when we make it at home but not here, I had the sea bass and it wasn't anything more than flavourless and mushy. No crispy skin, no real texture. Veg were just tasteless except for tomatoes that had been pickled or something, quite nice. Potato gratin was OK but it's hard to screw up potato in creamy, cheesy sauce. We had the tenderstem broccoli with chillies and almonds on the side, which we both usually love anywhere we go. It made me want to cry - still cold, dry and hard with almost zero flavour, like it barely been cooked. The bill of £95 (£10 service charge) was obscene for what we got. Spent way less for much nicer meals in other places. Won't be going back.

Amazing food, nduja pizza and pork gnochi were fantastic and the service was spot on. Amazing espresso martini too, well worth a visit and a great Italian restaurant.

Where do I start ,Gusto restaurant in Knutsford highstreet is simply a bucket list venue ,the food here is sublime the staff are always very professional the atmosphere is upbeat with a warm feel ,you don't need to be Mr or Mrs D Beckham to dine there but if your lucky you may just see them there it is visited by many "famous folk" pick your times and good luck 👍🏻

We ordered three ribeye steaks and they came out looking like they were boiled, no crust or browning. The Chef needs to go back to culinary school. Poor.

A surprise 40th birthday party was held here for my god daughter, and I think there was 15 of us in total.Other celebrations were being catered for too, but despite Gusto being extremely busy, the level of service and quality of food was exceptionally good. I would recommend this Gusto if you're looking for a quality restaurant in Knutsford.

Being ignored from the moment food arrived till the moment asked for a bill. No chance to order desserts or more drinks. Whereas the restaurant was less then half full on Saturday late morning

We’ve always loved Gustos in Knutsford, however our last experience wasn’t as good as normal. The service wasn’t as good as in the past. There were 4 of us at the meal and a service charge was added onto the bill at the end which seemed quite steep. Gustos main website states that a service charge is added for parties of 6 or more, so cannot understand why it was added to our bill. We always tip and tip well, but I find it really frustrating when a charge is added and we’re being told how much to pay.

Good food and service. Atmosphere is amazing. Need to do prior booking before you can go there.
