We’re from America and have had very fine food during this trip, some expensive, some not. Farmer J was a wonderful surprise for us with its quirky, wholesome delicious selections. The food and friendly service is exceptional. I had harissa chicken with crisp lettuce and a lovely kale slaw with feta cheese and a yummy sauce on top of it all. I would go here again and again, especially for the price.

This woman called Maria, a self confesed ''manager for 6 years'' went so hard on me for asking for salad instead of chickpeas that it made me cry. Made me cry becvuase of impotent, was having a really bad day and i have been a client of farmer Js around the city for many years, brekafast lunch clients, they are always happy to accomodate requests and I considered myself a valued customer. SHe was adamant that they never make adjustments when i always made them! I litterally introduced the whole office and over 30 people go there on a daily basis. I was such an advocate for this brand! This woman is revolting and should NOT be customer facing if you want to keep any local customers. If this company intends to keep an unhinged manager like this, she should be at the back washing dishes if she can manage to do that without insulting anyone. Feel sorry for anyone that has to work for her. Never again, Farmer J, never again.

the food is very delicious and tasty, everything is good cooked and fresh. the salmon tastes absolutely great. I definitely recommend this place!

Good options for field tray to mix and match with your main, base and sides. More filling than it looks and a great way for a quick lunch / dinner.

Just the best place for healthy filling food in central London. I had Harissa Chicken, rice, veg,choc brownie and Kombucha for the very reasonable price of £12.95. This morning a bacon roll and coffee for £5.95. I work here weekly - so will def be back. Good priced decent food.

Ordered the steak and it smelled terrible - like it was off...very unappetising! The staff assured me this was normal and reluctantly offered a replacement dish

I've been having the same lunch for 6 months now. I always order Harissa Habibi chicken, purely because it's tasty and the chickpea salad was full of chickpeas which is good for people with high cholesterol. This salad has now been changed and although it's called green chickpea salad, I had literally 10 chickpeas in it. The rest was cucumber and croutons, which overpower everything. Very disappointing and looks like I will have to lunch somewhere else.

Went to farmer J at St Paul's with my granddaughter before a visit to the hospital we had the chicken which was awful it was full of gristle and skin, there was no where stating that this was not chicken breast. I ordered one of the dressings and I felt very rushed by the member of staff so I just picked a green one which was like a pot of oil when opened absolutely disgusting. Needless to say the food went uneaten by both of us would never ever go to any of farmer js again yuk yuk yuk

Its taste good and is fast but they are really stingy on portions. There is no standardized serving size so sometimes you get a tiny portion other times you get a small portion but you never get a generous portion.

I'm a regular at the Finsbury Ave branch given the proximity to my office, and the lunch-hour service is terrible. The staff is extremely rude, they yell at you and make you feel scared to even say anything other than a word, which makes me feel anxious and so uncomfortable and it is really not what I need on my lunch break or at a place where I go to get food. On top of this, the portions have become smaller and smaller every day, the meat portions have become tiny, especially the steak, and it leaves you feeling not satisfied, so you have to go and have a snack in addition to what is already an expensive lunch. The portions have become so small that I now don't really want to go here for lunch because it feels like it's not worth the money I'm paying in any way. Very sad to see a place with a great idea and purpose like this lose customers because of rude customer service and stingy portions.

I've been to London for 4 days and the 1st day I went to Farmer.J by accident and it was a beautiful Surprise: staff very welcoming, genuine food and variety of choise! I went there in the next days, too. Highly recommemded! Cristina of Italy

Came in to grab a coffee, and its actually has a sour taste... would not advise to anybody and would no go there again myself

I am a regular at Finsbury Ave/Broadgate branch and the service today was just horrific and this was not the first time but the worst so really felt compelled to share this! This is the first review I have ever done in my life, so that says enough. I hope the owners Jonathan and Ali read this because I like their recipes and philosophy. First of all, several of my colleagues stopped going to Farmer J because the portions are getting smaller and smaller every day and the service is plain rude! One of my colleagues who asked for one more small piece of avocado in her kale salad was told to pay £2.50 extra! Alas, if I have to pay extra I will (even though the salads are v expensive around £13). The staff is very rigid, and refused to change the base of the salad when I asked for a different base. I was happy to pay extra for that but the lady started to argue with me. I didn't accept this behaviour and only said: "Is this really how you want to treat your customers?" Well that was that as she refused to serve me, practically chased me out of the store! She said: "we don't need you or any of your friends/colleagues"

Extremely terrible at Canary Wharf Jubliee mall. I saw the salad portion was very little, barely a teaspoon portion, so I requested him to add little more such that it’s the right portion as per portion size on their paper plate. He started arguing with me, and then fighting , and personal comments like we don’t care if you regular,you go find some other place, this is what we give. I am no beggar here to get your food, I am paying premium prices of £8-£9 for your portion. It seems like they don’t care about customers or service. The food and portion size is getting crappy by the day. You waste so much good at the end of the day daily, but you want to fight with customers for adding a little bit extra. Extremely rude and belittling behaviour by the staff. My point is you charging a premium, and if a regular customer is requesting to add like a teaspoon more, how can you afford to argue and fight with so many others customers in line. I see now why they have such bad reviews.
