Great addition to boundary rd. the staff are friendly and helpful, the menu is varied and the mezzes to share are great . We ordered different meat dishes and all were very tender and cooked to perfection. It’s byo so always a bonus

Wow! Honestly wish I had been to this beautifully decorated Persian restaurant in Portslade. I ordered the Jooleh Torsh. Chicken breast pieces cooked to perfection in a delicious pomegranate sauce. Portion sizes are also very generous. We had Georgina as our waitress and she was excellent. Prices are reasonable. I will be returning very soon. Thank you!

Daughter went at the weekend loved it so we had takeaway last night. It was delicious, lots of food and well presented. Definitely eat here again.

This is my go to Persian restaurant. The food was so tasty and succulent. I have eaten Persian food for over 40 years and this is up with the best. The staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Brilliant. Loved every bit of this place. Food was amazing, the meat so tender and tasty. I had the mixed grill and could immediately eat it again. Service was good, the girls serving were lovely, friendly and attentive. Bring your own booze, which is great as not only can you actually drink your favourite wine/wine, beer it keeps the bill really reasonable. Lovely pudding too, generous baklava. Cannot wait to visit again. Yum!

I would like to thank all the staff tonight for looking after our table of 18. You all did a phenomenal job. I ordered the Joojeh Torsh which was cooked to perfection. Looking around the table everybody else’s food also looked absolutely exceptional. The place has a wonderful atmosphere and the way the food Is presented is a work of art. Many thanks to the lovely waitress who very kindly took some photos of the group of us together. I would very highly recommend to everybody! Many thanks again to the staff!

Ordered the lamb shank, started eating and although everything appeared to be cooked, what I ate was ‘fridge’ cold. Touched the centre of the shank, which felt like it had just come out of the fridge. Mentioned it to the staff, who said they would resolve the issue, same shank came out, reheated to right temperature but less than what I started with. No offer of goodwill, only apology from waitress. Dubious that I would go again.

Great Persian restaurant. Food was excellent, tasty and good value. Smoked aubergine dip was excellent. Mixed grill was lovely, tasty and plentiful. Chicken shish? was lovely, tasty. The spicy sauce as recommended by the waitress was excellent. All served with rice and or chips and salad. Plentiful portions. Excellent value. Bring your own alcohol. Was really busy. Recommend booking.

This Persian restaurant is our favorite place to eat. We always come here whenever we crave Iranian food. My family loves it here! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is consistently great. The prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants of the same kind. Came here for a meal and the food was fabulous. Great tasting food, really fresh. A few of us are vegetarian so tried a couple of the veggie mains which were both lovely. A perfect place to go for sharing food, because you will want to try everything on the menu!!

First time here and very, very pleased. The service was excellent. All food cooked to order and wonderfully presented on steel trays. BYOB, with no corkage charge, however soft drinks are available

Absolutely lovely place, beautifully decorated, great staff. Delicious food, smells lovely too! Rosewater and saffron ice-cream was a real hit along with Baklava

Another great evening at Fanoos. Had prebooked as we were a party of 7. Had starters of aubergine, hummus and chicken wings. The accompanying bread was very fresh and absolutely delicious. Mixture of kebabs with rice, chips and salad for mains. Cooked fresh and very hot and tasty. Bring your own drinks which makes for a very reasonably priced meal out. Great atmosphere and beautifully decorated for the season. Staff are some of the most friendly and helpful in town. Highly recommended when in the area.

Met up with friends , party of four. Food was excellent as had ordered starters and mixed grill. It’s a small restaurant with a family run atmosphere. Stayed from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. And were welcomed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a wonderful evening and will definitely return. Highly recommended for couples meeting up.

We are never disappointed with Fanoos. Consistently great food and a lovely local atmosphere. Always made to feel welcome and the meals are delicious. We just have to say that when we visited last night, our waitress was called Katie. Wow what a breath of fresh air for someone so young to be not only courteous and polite but also she was so articulate, funny, engaged in conversation and was an absolute joy to be served by ! What an absolute asset and credit to Fanoos. We wish her all the very best for the future and hope that we see her there again soon. Well done Fanoos. What an amazing restaurant! Have had to cancel on 2 previous occasions due to family circumstances but went along this evening to a warm welcome & amazing food. Service was exceptional, food was excellent and this will now be my ‘go to’ restaurant for the BEST Persian food in the south. Thank you so, so much!

Can't beat the food, it was terrific and the service by the waitresses were very good. Only thing that spoilt it was I had asked for a specific table configuration on a couple of pre-visits as there were 10 of us which seemed to be an issue for the owner. When we arrived for our meal, we ended up having to move the tables ourselves. The owner did come over and help but to be honest, it should have been done before we got there. Apart from that everything was wonderful.

Came for dinner with a friend on an early Thursday evening in June. Food, service and atmosphere just as good as on our first visit. Planned another visit with a larger party soon. Highly recommended. Just a short walk from Portslade station.

Superb experience. Great value, Food, service and setting were all excellent. Friendly and professional young staff in particular Olivia who was incredibly professional, attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming for a young waitress. Nothing was too much trouble, The food was delicious and authentic. Amazing koobideh and aubergine. Bread was fresh and delicious. This is currently a BYO alcohol restaurant which made it even better value. Our meal came to £35 for two! Ran rings around the last two restaurants we had visited in terms of service (and those were £140 and not as good!) Thanks Fanoos. Brilliant night.

Another excellent meal from this outstanding Persian grill in Portslade, near Brighton.. The owner, Korush (?) and the waitress, Olivia, provided great service and my friends were so impressed. Best place in the neighbourhood

A decent eatery on Boundary Road specialising in middle eastern food.

Catching up with friends, in a family group or any scenario. Children welcome. Our food was beautiful. We will be trying some recipes at home now, but will be sure to go back when we are back next time. Food was well priced service was really warm and friendly. The best we have been to in a long while. What a shame it is not on our doorstep! Sadly 2 of our party had eaten more than we should have earlier in the day so we took some home - and it was still fab the next day!

Great little Gem!! Amazing food & super friendly staff!!

This is a bring your own drinks restaurant. We prebooked. The warm welcome we received on arrival was lovely. Great menu and great food. I had hummus to start followed by a chicken kebab with rice and salad. Highly recommended. Worth going out of your way for. Only 5 mins down the road from Portslade station.

Tasty and flavourful Persian food. We went on a wet and miserable Thursday evening and were given a warm welcome by the owner and his trainee server. Generous portion sizes and good vegetarian option too. Bring your own is a great option these days. No problem with parking after 7pm if driving. Will definitely be returning and grateful to have this great little eatery in our vicinity.

Absolutely delicious, well presented and tasty food! Everything on the menu is absolutely divine! I am half Persian myself so I am extremely fussy and have been coming here for about 3 years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Please keep the standard the same everything is delicious! Me and my family went to Farnoos to try it out. We had excellent food and the customer service was great. The food was fresh and there was nothing to complain about. We would definitely be coming back and I would recommend this to everyone.

Warm atmosphere and delicious kebabs

This was our 2nd visit to Fanoos and definitely won't be our last. The staff are lovely, even when we delayed our table by an hour at short notice. The food is wonderful, generous portions of expertly grilled succulent chicken and lamb, plus perfect chips and rice. Love it.

Popped in today and was served straight away. We both had a starter and a main course. Everything was cooked well. Chicken & Lamb we’re both very tender and very tasty. We will be back

Fantastic place to enjoy amazing Persian food. The atmosphere is relaxing and the authentic music makes you feel like you're on holiday. Really recommend the hummus and halloumi starters; the finely chopped salad too. Mains are platters of delight. With BYO, it's lovely to have your favourite wine to accompany the 5 star food. Lastly, the staff are polite and friendly and give you all the time you need to enjoy your visit. I will be back again with friends soon.

My girlfriend and I have only been here a couple of times and we absolutely love it. It's on our doorstep, and everything about this place is fantastic. The service is always warm and welcoming, and the food is excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Best Persian food in the Brighton area by far. Great value for money. They even give you a free bottle of wine.. You can bring your own alcoholic drinks and they supply you with glasses. The fish was amazing.. Cooked on real charcoal to perfection as we're the jucy lamb chops and the kebabs and the rice was so light and fluffy you could blow it off the plate served with an excellent, freshly prepared, crisp salad. Spotlessly clean and great atmosphere especially in the wonderful covered pavement seating area with exotic coloured cloth draped "ceiling" background music and heating should it be a chilly day. I have been back several times as have other people I have recommended. Had to book last visit so phone before you visit to avoid disappointment.

Fanoos does very good takeaway food and it now has a semi-permanent covered dining area on the pavement. The ambience was quite casual, the staff were great, and the food excellent-portion sizes are very generous. Fanoos doesn't have an alcohol licence so bring your own bottle (there's no corkage charge, just a very reasonable 10% service charge).

Great food, reminded me of my childhood in Iran. Staff very friendly... but try to avoid being seated at the small table in the centre of the additional covered outside space - everyone has to pass by you on one side or the other & it feels like you're in the way. I understand the need to get in as many covers as possible but I would remove this table. Otherwise this additional space was great with sufficient heating. Would certainly return on the proviso of not being seated at the same table.

My first Persian meal and a huge success. We ate in the conservatory area at the front. It had a high ceiling and was not cramped. The service was attentive and friendly. Note that this is a BYO restaurant so plan ahead if you fancy a drink. The food was superb and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
