Family Cafe in Suffolk Coastal

We ate breakfast at this delighful cafe twice during s recent visit to Felixstowe and loved it both times. It is best described as a tradition English cafe, good food that is cooked to order. We had a full English on one morning and a bacon/sausage bap then next. Good portions, hot and tasty, what’s not to like? We will return next time we are in the area

We love this cafe and always come here when we visit Felixstowe. The lady who owns it is so lovely, has the best smile which she always greets us with. We're made to feel very welcome and the food is great, hearty food, cooked perfectly with good sized portions. Prices are really good but it's the service with a smile that sets this cafe above the rest.

Love this cafe! Lady who works there is lovely and always greeted with a smile. Excellent full English breakfasts! Lovely poached eggs! Generous portions that we keep you going all day!

Myself and 3 friends were staying at holiday park not far from here and after having a cold, disappointing, overpriced meal we tried the cafe. Wow what a fantastic choice. Better food, proper sausages, perfect eggs, Heinz beans, hash browns, bacon, all hot.HP sauce, Heinz Ketchup. Friendly family run. Highly recommended 👍

Once again a good English breakfast for a reasonable price. Very clean café with the kitchen in view of the diners. Good service.

Nice to find some old British favourites so good, Liver and Bacon with gravy and vegetables also apple pie and custard good size servings for a moderate price.

Haven't been since covid began and missed a good breakfast but now back to normal and only the furniture has changed. Food as good as it was before covid also the addition of a card reader.

Lovely people, friendly, the place is clean and the brekkie is lovely. Today was my 2 nd visit and I will visit everytime im in Felixstowe. Highly recommend

Down to earth cafe just off the beach at undercliff road parking outside, great food at very reasonable prices lovely staff and very clean premises I have been going to Felixstowe from Reading and have been going to the family cafe every time and the quality of the food is always superb I wouldnt go anywhere else its fantastic. Nice little cafe to go to. Food is good and you do get your monies worth. If driving ??it can be a pain for parking near. But well worth the walk.

Lovely welcoming cafe. Breakfast can be one of the set options or pick n mix. Lots of menu choices for brunch or lunch. Very friendly staff. My breakfast was lovely.

Back again for Sunday lunch and this time chose liver and bacon with veg. and of course lots of gravy, followed by apple pie and custard. Very good value and lovely people serving you.

Popped in and decided to have a breakfast, the hash was slightly overcooked in oil that was too hot and needed cleaning, sausages had little flavour and were over nuked, burned my mouth a tad on them, the cup of tea was flavorless slightly coloured milk and was scoldingly hotter than molten lava, being from Yorkshire I like my tea to be brewed, rather than have the bag stirred around for 10 seconds, the eggs were cooked with too hot a heat as well, because the edges were brown and frayed, and the yolk was toying with the idea of almost being cooked. I may be being a bit critical here but it's an honest review, in general it could have been cooked with a bit more care, rather than being boshed out, there are better breakfasts in the town, and better value for money, as a cafe goes I would put this one as completely average based on the one dish I had.

Having lived in Felixstowe and been to most cafes for breakfast this one beats them all. English and some Turkish as well, we will return to try the Turkish. Service very good with happy faces serving you. Cleanliness spot on with the kitchen in open view. Food just look at the pictures and the breakfast comes with free tea or normal coffee. Best value we have found. Well behaved pets allowed and parking outside or just up the road.

We visited the Family Café for lunch after a walk along the sea front - it's not far from the pier and amusements, It wasn't too busy for a Sunday lunchtime, and the ambience and service was friendly. The food arrived promptly and we were all very happy with the experience. We'd definitely consider returning.

Lovely staff and when we went the food was amazing. We had a full English and a roast dinner and really couldn't find anything to complain about.

We have been to the family Cafe on quite a few occasions now. Food and service never fails to impress. The menu is well varied from light snacks to a full meal including all day breakfast (one of the best I have ever had and extremely vgvfm) including desserts. The meals are always very hot & very tasty, lasagne, shepherds pie, gammon etc. This is one of the best cafes I have had the pleasure to eat in. I am moving away and will certainly miss this little gem... Good luck for the future

Me and my wife discovered this little gem last year. We ate there every day of our stay. We have come back again this year and it's just as good. Good food good prices and very friendly staff. We will be eating here every day this year. Best breakfast I've ever had.

Basic cafe, good value, friendly, they know what vegetables are. Open everyday. Please publish your opening hours though.

After having a few days of having not so good cafes around here, I came here to check it out, for a very cheap price I managed to get a great breakfast which was well needed!!

It was raining and I had left my car for a full valet and needed somewhere to eat close by. I wandered past a row of shops in Undercliff Road and almost walked by this cafe but, just in time, I saw the Under New Management sign. In I went and got a nice welcome at the counter. Having looked through their menu containing all the old cafe favourites like All Day Breakfast (meaty and vegetarian choices), a good selection of coffees, sandwiches & baps, jacket potatoes and some surprising deserts. I opted for the Liver & Bacon Mash & Veg for £5.50. A big plate full arrived with lots of liver, lots of bacon, lots of onion gravy as well as mash & veg. It was delicious and warming. It brightened up a cold, wet day. There's also choices of Turkish lunch and Turkish soups. It is great to see a little cafe get a gastronomic uplift. I certainly will add this cafe to my Felixstowe eating destinations.

Had lovely food here today, the only place along the sea front that would let us bring our little dog in, lady who served us was very friendly, cafe has had a make over with new management it's a no frills, clean, large choice on menu will definitely be going again, thanks
