Falafel Mama in Croydon

Very nice, but 15 minutes for a falafel pitta takeaway is way too long! It wasn’t even busy! I would avoid if in a rush a lunch time!

Just got the classic pitta falafel and it was very tasty, i recommend the optional spicy sauce. Good value for the amount of food you get. Friendly staff in central location. Recommended

We order online couple of times the food is packed with flavour ! We never been to the actual store but i guess we gonna pay a visit soon

Very tasty! Bit painful watching the staff make the falafel though, they have a very relaxed (stroudie) approach… that said they are all very friendly. Looking forward to my next visit.

El falafel más delicioso que he probado en mi vida: favores ligeros, esponjosos y frescos. Podría ir todos los días, pero estoy fuera porque cada vez que he estado he esperado entre 15 y 20 minutos frustrantes mientras el servidor flota muy, muy lentamente, en cámara lenta, aparentemente ajeno a las colas que se forman afuera o los minutos. pasando a medida que desaparece la hora del almuerzo de todos. ¡Acelere un poco y volveremos por el mejor falafel de todos los tiempos!

Good value delicious falafel with yummy salad and tahini dressing stuffed to bursting. vegan too. Great view of Stroud sitting upstairs.

A little jewel of a place - unpretentious, honest, & delicious falafel with houmous & salad in half a pitta for under £4. Delightful sitting area upstairs for impromptu chats. Worth a return visit.

So been here three times, mainly for a quick bite/lunch and each time the falafel pitta combo with amazing little fresh salads / tahini/pickles of which you can put into your pitta yourself have hit the mark - for those adventurous with spice try half a teaspoon of the Naga chilli sauce - boy oh boy hairs come up on the back of your neck but this stuff is addictive. Lovely friendly stack and great vibe/atmosphere to this little place

Called in here and was optimistic to try something new and was impressed massively by the price and freshness. We ordered a mixture from the menu and it was superb. A breath of fresh air all round. Well done team.

I go there semi regularly and the food is always great. It's bordering on expensive, but considering the quality and the fact that there isn't really anything like it nearby means it's just about worth it. They've made a couple of changes recently so that some of the free extras now cost money (like the delicious green salsa/zhoug), but you still get a lot of choice.I'm not a fan of the drinks they sell though, they're understandably from a more ethical source, but I've tried each of the cans they sell and they all taste like cheap knockoffs of proper drinks.The only other negative is the opening hours - closing at 4pm means there's no chance of visiting on the way home from work.

This place serve up DELICIOUS falafels with so many amazing toppings,sauces and sides. If you're in Stroud, be sure to pop in. There's a queue for a reason! Lovely staff too, thank you for a lovely lunch!

Una pita llena de falafels grandes y gordos, tahini, aderezo de cilantro, humus y ensalada. También hay una barra de ensaladas adicional con encurtidos y salsas para terminar tu pita. Recomiendo un poco de la salsa picante si te gusta un agradable hormigueo picante en los labios. Sin embargo, solo un poco, ¡es potente!También obtuvimos una olla de aceitunas y ajo, que acompañó las pitas perfectamente. Alrededor de 6. 50 para una pita completamente empacada. Do yourself a favour and stop by for their half pitta. Plenty for lunch and pile in the complementary pickles for extra flavour. Homemade lemonade is lovely. Bit scrappy on the decor but the falafel makes up for it.

One of the best falafel dishes I’ve tasted. Arthur regularly chokes on the beetroot, but that’s his fault. Any more expensive than £6 and it will turn into an occasional treat rather than a regular lunch though.

A bit slow to get served but well woth the wait - falafel is crunchy and tasty with great salad extras - on the side bar are very good extra picles and peppers to add the extra zing I need - great!

I’ve have visited Falafel mama many times and very much enjoyed the delicious falafel, they were £5.00 and this is the most I’d want to pay. I have have Falafel elsewhere which were equally good but around £4.00 which is average to pay. They are now £6.00 at Falafel mama and this is too much to charge for reasonably cheap to produce street food. I hope to see the price return to a still healthy profit making £5.00 and then I will continue to enjoy this fab food.

We've all had falafel. We might even think we've had 'the best falafel'. But these really *are* the best falafel, augmented by the delights of the chilli bar. The kids love them. You may have to fight for space, and they can be slow to clear stuff away - oh and get a box, or you'll make a mess - but these are the BEST FALAFEL.

The Falafels were most delicious, all ingredients were very fresh and plentiful. The staff were happy go lucky, down to earth and very professional. Outstanding on all fronts. Kudos!

I’ve always hated falafel as it’s usually dry & pretty disgusting! So when my wife said let’s have lunch at Falafel Mama I was against it.

Can't fault it. Reasonable value, fast and friendly service and well stocked pickle bar. Always enjoy it.

Ok so I am not THE expert, but I grew up near an Israeli Falafel House in London, ate the best Falafels in Berlin and Paris when I lived there, and have always searched out these yummy babies wherever I go. This place has special soft pittas (apparently brought specially from London) and the falafels themselves are a perfect balance of spicy and herby, not too dry, and combined with the fantastic salads and the best pickles, it's all just mmmmmmmm. GO if you like one of the best street foods available!

Great food, a mix of pitta with salad and falafel or salad boxes, all freshly made and delicious. Lovely staff and a really nice cafe.

Came here two days in a row while i was back in Stroud which says something about my experience!

Fresh and tasty falafels, with lots of salad and delicious sauces. Either in pita bread or loose. I also recommend the home made lemonade. Not open in the evening, so make sure to get there in time.

What a treat to have in Stroud. Having lived in the middle east for many years, I love this place and the food is really good.

I often visit Falafel Mama for lunch with friends or for a takeaway lunch break. Everyone that works there is friendly and welcoming. The falafels are really good and freshly cooked to order. My favourite part is the self service salad bar which you can use to dial up the flavour, there are some really nice home made extras which you can add to your meal inclusive of the price. The only part which I'm not too fond of is the large amount of red cabbage and salads that come as standard, to be honest it's all a bit wet and flavourless. If I was you I would just order a falafel with hummus and add your own peppers aubergines and pickles from the self service bar, however of course this could just be me. Be sure to give Falafel Mama a try if you are in town.

Love dropping in here for falafel salad and one of their home cooked cakes. Great value for money. Friendly quick service and lots of healthy options. Have no hesitations in recommending.

I recently tried this cafes falafel pitta and I was blown away! It's all cooked fresh to order and you can select which salad bits you want in your pitta. Also you can have it without the pitta. Everything is Vegan which I think makes it so good. There's also lots of choice of sauces my favourite being the spicy mango.

Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Me and all the lads loved it. Definitely recommend it. Made the whole weekend worthwhile.

Great to across this place when looking for a sandwich in Stroud. All they do is falafels, and they do them well. Lovely chopped salads, flavoursome but balanced (i.e. not too strong) humous, tahini and optional pickles. Fast friendly and clean in a small but light shop right in the centre of town.

Best falafels I've ever had and good value at £5 for a box. Fantastic home-made pickles and sauces on the side. Lovely staff, lovely space. Wouldn't have minded my box being a bit fuller with salad though!

This is very convenient and healthy fast food. Tastes great and not expensive. Nice to sit upstairs and watch the street below.

This is how a little café should be run. Do a few things, but do them well. The menu is simple (falafels freshly made) in different size portions and with various salads. All fresh and tasty. Very helpful with enquiry about allergens.
