Falafel House in Oxford

This place is honestly has the best food I've ever tried I strongly advise people to go pay them a visit in the Gloucester Green Market where they recently moved. Service was also outstanding great place 👍.

I was very happy when i found out that the falafel house is now in the gloucester green market from wednesday to saturday. I’ve tried out most their foods and i’ve enjoyed it very much i’ve never had something better than this.:)

The experience of the halloumi and spicy potato was great. My female (admittedly loopy) friend was it tears with the taste of it. She is still raving about it and says it was the best lunch she has ever had. To be honest it was very good and served with a smile. We will be back. The food in Oxford is by and large overpriced and not great ,after all it is a tourist town. I'm glad we found this very good value , friendly place.

Fantastic falafel wraps! We wanted a quick bite to eat whilst wandering around Oxford and picked up a wrap each from here. I had falafel and baba ganoush and my partner had chicken and halloumi. Both were super tasty!

Before I discovered falafel house, i was a lost and broken man but when i looked into bossmans eyes I saw the light and knew falafel house was gonna change my life. The service is breath-taking: bossman always gives you a smile, shares a joke and delivers really fast with a scrumptious wrap. No words can describe how tasty the food is. I would highly recommended the falafel and chicken shish wrap as i would have to admit it was better than most of my sexual experiences in life! The atmosphere is orgasmic and erotic because bossman delivers not just with the food;). All jokes aside, A GREAT PLACE WHICH NEEDS MORE CREDIT AND RECOGNISITION! Big up bossman keep grinding and getting those Ps

Super fresh delicious wraps. A wrap for £5.50 feeds me and my partner. We go for falafel, spinach, baba ganoush, and halloumi, we're vegetarians. Always super friendly and efficient, a total bargain for the quality/skill.

I go here once or twice a week nd they're friendly and always remember my son's name. The food is delicious, iv had a few different wraps, kofta is my favourite!

Had a bike ride from Stratford up on Avon to Oxford , googled for Falafil and this came up. Nice FRESH and frendly service, falafil are fried when ordered. Not just falafel but other options are served, ask for Haloumi chees wrap, brilliant. I am vegetarian and this was just what I was looking for.

As a local I have come here dozens of times and am always exceptionally impressed with the service and the food. I am a vegan and this place caters to me wonderfully The staff are lovely to regulars and new customers alike. Even on busy days the service is efficient and the prices are reasonable in my eyes. One downfall perhaps is the cash only under a certain amount, but this is only a minor inconvenience. A must if you're visiting Oxford/are a local!

My boys and I have one of these almost every time we’re in the centre of town - excellent shawarma and cheap at £3.

Tried this takeaway on the way back home, had Falafel Wrap was surprisingly good, had other options too, with spicy sauce and veg staffing, it did not much time to prepare as well, will try other stuffs

We had a falafel wrap with hummus and all the trimmings and a plain burger. Both were excellent and full of flavour. The guys were really friendly and the service quick. The falafels were great and moist and the chilli sauce not too hot. Brilliant indeed and very cheap.

The falafel and hummus wrap is absolutely divine - really hot and delicious! My only complaint would be that it is pricier than Najars, and on a cold day there is nowhere to sit. However, apart from that, I would thoroughly recommend it!

Words cannot explain how good this falafel is! Who knew that hummus, falafel, salad and pickles in a grilled wrap could taste that good.. Oh and not forgetting their signature falafel sauce! I mean truly :) Seriously if you’re a fan of falafel get yourself there! We were only in Oxford for 24 hours and we visited twice!

Simple food done brilliantly. First discovered this place 20 years ago when I moved to Oxford. It’s still my lunch of choice when I get into the city. Falafel wrap, salad, pickle and extra chilli with chilli sauce. Tasty food done brilliantly!

Fantastic Falafels...best in Oxford, have been coming here every other Saturday for two years with my 3 kids, never had a bad wrap....highly recommended!

La comida siempre es fresca, es reunido ante sus ojos y verá axactly lo que te están ofreciendo. Aunque el exterior puede parecer como que se ha visto mucho de la vida, la higiene de los alimentos aquí es impecable y mucho mejor que en muchos restaurantes.

I've eaten millions of felafel and this place is up there. Lovely people serving and delicious and cheap.

The falafel's are fresh and tasty, worth a visit for a quick snack. Plenty of variety on offer and reasonably priced. Great for vegetarians. Would definately visit again if in Oxford.

El falafel es inmejorable (mi favorito es con hummus y batata harra) y el servicio es rápido y amable. No me sorprende que no se pararían desconcertados por los puestos de comida de moda y más caros que surgen en Gloucester Green - tienen una formula ganadora que es simplemente: sabrosa comida sana a buen precio con una sonrisa!

A quick, inexpensive, healthy and tasty lunch. I always go here when I need something to eat in town. Felafel with potato and baba ganoush is a firm favourite.

Great food vendor, great for vegetarians, inexpensive and very tasty, fast, friendly service. It is a shame that it closes at 7pm. Would be much improved if open til 10pm

El mejor falafel que he tenido. Todo se hace en frente de usted por el personal muy amable. Los precios son muy baratos y la comida es muy abundante. Es una visita obligatoria si estás en el centro de Oxford buscando un bocado rápido.

Great price, great service, great food. Lamb shawarma is delicious but nothing can top the falafel and hummus wrap.

I have been visiting Falafel House for so long that I can't exactly remember how long that is...they have always been great, friendly guys knocking up tasty and filling wraps. I like the meat ones, but my favourite is the eponymous falafel. Freshly cooked falafel from a mix made fresh daily, good wrap, great veg, fresh in house made humous and tahini. Great value too.

little gem in oxford offering delicious and natural, fresh ingrediantays ask for the toasted halloumi and kofta wrap with tahini sauce you will enjoy it and it will blow your socks off and if you are reading this review then tell the owner the wrap is #dankdank.

This place was in a nice little square and the prices were very reasonable. The wrap was a bit on the smaller side but a very good deal for the price. Great for a bite at lunch. Would go back =)

I've been going to this fantastic stall for years - the food has been consistently excellent every time, although I've only ever tried the falafel and potato wrap!

Great little stop close to city centre and in the middle of the Oxford market. This is an easy stop for students and tourists passing through. The garlic and Chili sauce is great and the food is well worth the price (which is still cheap!!!)

Quick and tasty food served by lovely people! Really great to have something freshly made at such a good price. Also lovely to find somewhere with multiple vegan and veggie options!

I didn't have high hopes for this stand but the reviews on Tripadvisor were so good that I decided to give it a go when my other half got some fried chicken from another stand on Gloucester Green. The first time I got a falafel and halloumi wrap which I loved - the halloumi was freshly fried/warmed, the falafels were freshly fried, the salad was crisp and it was all freshly assembled, with friendly service. Overall it was good quality, especially for the location, and good if you're trying to find a reasonably healthy but tasty option in Gloucester Green. The next time I got the falafel, halloumi and spinach, but I didn't enjoy that as much as I thought the spinach had too much turmeric, which overpowered the subtle milky taste of the halloumi. I'd definitely like to try a wrap with the baba ghanoush as well.

There are 4 kiosks in this location but these guys, in my view, serve the best food. Strangely, these guys don't serve chips with their wraps and sandwiches (unlike the kiosk at the other end) but I still get my shawarmas from here as they make them better.On second thoughts, it's better not to have chips on the side.

Situated on George Square (off George Street) which is in the town centre. I've been going here for years - the food is always fresh and tasty! Staff are friendly too. I would personally highly recommend the hummus, falafel and potato wrap for vegetarians and chicken shish for meat lovers.

ate here twice! this week. Halloumi wrap, with spinach and the other time with chicken (same price each time). choice of salad items, sauces, well wrapped. fast, friendly service. reminded me that food on Gloucester Green doesn't have to cost £5 for a meal

I've been frequenting this stand for the last couple of years and I do not have a bad thing to say. Hands down best falafel in Oxford, they also do great grilled meats and have all the trimmings. The staff are extremely friendly and remember you after your first visit. Go eat some street food people!

We were looking for a quick lunch and having eaten out the day didn't fancy another sit down meal. We stumbled across this place and are both massive falafel fans, it was just what we fancied!The man is friendly and the van had a constant stream of hungry lunch-ers but he remained nice and chatty whilst preparing orders.We both had a falafel and potato wrap with all the salads, it was delicious. I've eaten a lot of falafels (my festival staple) but these were some of the best I've had. He forms and cooks them while you wait and you pick which salads you'd like.It was good value and worth a visit!He does some meaty things too if falafel is not your thing.

Simple, street food falafel with a good range of fillings for a nice warm wrap to eat on the street. You get what you expect. Not the most best falafel wrap I've had but pretty good.

My go to place if I've missed the bus and feeling peckish. Great tasting freshly made food, quick and great value. Really friendly people too, always happy to chat while they serve you.

I stopped by for lunch in March 2015.A wrap with hummus and freshly made falafel was made for me within 5 minutes. I could choose my salad options and also opted for the chilli sauce. The wrap itself was delicious with a nice crunch coming from the falafel with a delicate hint of heat from the chilli sauce.£3.20 was the cost which is reasonable in my opinion.

Love this place. Great vegetarian selection of falafel with humus, salads etc.We often stop by for a bite to eat which we share with the pigeons!

Yummy food, worth a look if in a hurry. Ok the surroundings the hut is in may not the best. Not the fault of the owners though.

I have been eating here for many years, and when I have a craving for some simple Middle Eastern food in the centre of Oxford, this is the place. It's good that the food is fresh and made for you, and i like having a kick from the chili with the falafel.

If you want a fabulous wrap, on the go, this is the place!! The proprietor is so friendly and makes the wrap exactly as you like it. We have taken several visitors there and it is always one of the "Oxford highlights!"

to me its a great clean place to have a bite,..one of the smallest bites,sandwiches in town...........and one of the most expensive.

Fabulous falafel, humus, and halloumi in a wrap with salad. Chilli sauce? Quick, healthy fast food. Make sure you get an extra napkin or have somewhere to rinse your fingers though!

Lamb kofta, my total favourite here, which I eat nearly once a week! Also, I feel that - for a quick bite to eat at lunch time, it's great value for money.

I can't believe I don't eat here more often. The owner is friendly, the falafel is cooked to order, and you can have it with spinach, houmous, halloumi or baba ganoush, garnished with salad, onions, pickles etc. It's super-fresh, nicely prepared and balanced, and all round the best fast food snack in Oxford. LOVE IT. Highly recommended. Takeaway only - it's a kiosk.

I am a vegetarian and the host was very nice to service me a falafel roll at closing time. he also suggested that i dont mix onions as it will disturb the flavour. Nice roll and i gues the other non-veg are as great as the veg roll. :):)!
