Best curry ever had manger and stuff top people

Excellent evening meal on a wet fakenham evening. Very friendly staff and waiter. Our meals were excellent and we will definitely return.

I always give a second chance , sorry but it was tasteless !!

We were staying in a B&B nearby and we were recommended by the owners. When we got to the restaurant, we were met by the owner who showed us to our table. The service was outstanding and the food was even better. It seemed that nothing was too much for the staff. A very difficult table of 7 came in, and even they didn't get the staff rattled. Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Would highly recommend this place.

I’ve only used this place once…I won’t be going back. Food was very bland, the curry sauce was so watery & tasteless. Probably the worst Indian takeaway I’ve had. Complete waste of time & money. Sorry I don’t like to give bad reviews but on this occasion there is no option.

Excellent service and delicious dishes of food that's not only fresh and tasty, but actually piping hot too. Nice atmosphere, friendly people, a lovely place to spend the evening.

Probably the worst takeaway ever the meat was tough as old boots the nan bread was stale and not fit for human consumption and eighty percent went in the bin so be warned

The food came on time. They had lovely staff , polite and friendly. The food was tasty full of flavour . I would definitely recommend and go there again.

Got a takeaway. Food was very average. One curry was inedibly spicy, another curry was just bland not spicy enough. Pilau rice and garlic naans were poor. Not enough raita. The only really tasty thing was the tandoori king prawns. Staff were rude on the phone and it was an hour and a half wait, but then when we arrived we still had to wait 10 minutes. Only accepts cash. Won’t be going back.

The takeaway at this Indian restaurant left much to be desired. The food was disappointing, with dishes overcooked to the point of losing their flavors. Additionally, the distinction between a plain naan and a Peshawari naan was virtually non-existent, making the menu's variety seem misleading. The inconvenience of only accepting cash, despite having a card machine, added unnecessary hassle to the payment process, creating a sense of inconvenience for customers. Overall, the combination of poorly prepared food and payment issues detracted from what could have been an enjoyable meal. Luckily we were only on holiday. If this was our local Indian we’d have to move house !

Onion Bhajis were like cardboard, dry and flavourless. Vegetable curry was the worst we’ve had, full of oil, watery and flavourless. Chicken and lamb dishes were overcooked and dry, everything tasted like coconut. Biriyani flavourless. Would avoid FAKEnham tandoori.

Had a great time first ever time eating in an Indian restaurant and wow it was amazing highly recommend, have had many take aways but this was far better.

Had takeaway from here and have to say it was absolutely average. We had butter chicken, tikka masala and lamb masala and there was absolutely no flavour or spice it was almost Italian tomato sauce only all it tasted of was coconut. Order was also wrong with a wrong item placed in the bag and no bread with the chaat. Lucky only here in holiday as if this was the best rated Indian around then we would need to move house.

Very, very good food. My chicken madras was perfect, fairly hot but not excessively. My wife was very happy with her sizzling chicken tandoori. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. If you love Indian food, you must visit.

Very disappointed as the last takeaway from there was lovely. This was dreadful. The Bhaji was like eating uncooked flour, tough inedible outside, think it was cooked earlier and reheated. Vegetable curry was watery and tasteless. Biriani had no flavour like eating plain basmati rice. Naan was doughy and only half cooked. We’ll go elsewhere in future.

We were accommodated, seated and served in a very acceptable time frame. Food fresh and tasty as always.

Visited the restaurant at 6.30 on Friday evening. Requested a table for 2 . Informed in a very condescending manner if you haven’t already booked it will be at least 8 o clock . Looking around the restaurant every table was empty apart from one . Asked about a takeaway and told it would be at least 1 hour. We decided on a takeaway , ordered and paid and left to return in an hour . When we returned our order was already for us . The restaurant tables were still only occupied by 2 groups . The other tables empty. Are you a restaurant or just a takeaway? As for the food . Bland and tasteless . The hot dish was no different from the mild dish. No taste whatsoever. Naan bread doughy and undercooked. Don’t waste your money or time in this place. Very disappointed.

never eaten in but the takeaway we had was awful and bland, 5 pieces of chicken and watery tikka sauce, king prawn madras was also very watery and hardly any prawns which were not king prawns at all

Quick, good service, but food lacked flavour and was a bit disappointing tbh. Hotter dish was as mild as the mild dish, sauces didn't have any depth and felt rushed

Coming from Birmingham, we know curries really well so were sceptical whether Fakenham Tandoori would hit the spot. Glad to say it was excellent. Naan and balti was amazing. Very friendly staff with tonnes of experience (38 years we were told). Would recommend to anyone.

The food as always was amazing. But the service was very very slow. 40 minutes between courses. Surprised as there was only 2 other tables dining.

We popped in on a Sunday eve quite late. Had a good atmosphere. Staff were great. Food came out quickly and was very good. Would definitely return.

We made a takeaway order at 21:30 on a Sunday evening, after a very long day, and the staff were great! The food was amazing, the best balti I've ever had! Even added some little extras for us! Which was so kind. Price was more than reasonable, and service was fantastic, adhering to covid rules! Will definitely go again

Very disappointing meal. Lamb Makhani claims to be cooked with almonds. Peshwari naan claims to contain sultanas and nuts, it tasted only of sweet coconut. Neither were true. Lamb Makhani sickly sweet. Chana had little spice or flavour. The cost of the naan was taken off the bill. No reduction for the Makhani. We were told they serve no nuts because of allergies. We have no allergies. If you don't serve nuts, remove nut dishes from the menu. Overall my partner cooks better curries at home.

They kindly fit us in on our first visit on a busy Saturday night. The food was amazing, a true taste sensation. The staff were attentive and polite, shook our hands as we left and opened the door as we exited-real service. Can't fault this restaurant and the staff. Can't wait to return!

Food was quite good, had the Bhuna but tasted a bit plain, Peshwari Nan mostly sugar and coconut, no sign of almond or sultana. That being said good value and quantity.

Been here a lot this month and never been disappointed staff are very nice and the food has some amazing taste. Had chicken korma with coconut rice which tasted amazing and one of the best ones I have had so far. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes Indi

Food is really good and staff were really attentive and efficient. We really enjoyed our visit.

The service is good and the staff are friendly but the food seems to lack a bit of authenticity, it's tasty but a little bland and date I say, over commercial. Having said that there is a very extensive menu and an excellent choice for vegatarians.

Great food and atmosphere. No complaints, good service

My first time at this restaurant and I'm really upset I didnt discover it sooner. I enjoyed every single morsel and my husband said it's as good as any he used to frequent in London. The service was nice and relaxed, the cleanliness was outstanding and considering how hot it was outside the coolness of the room was a very welcome relief. I would recommend this restaurant to Indian and non Indian lovers alike as there is something for everyone

Another pleasant meal at the Fakenham Tandoori. The aromati. Smell and taste of the pilau rice and the creamy khuma. Right down to the fresh crispy perfect pompadoms. This place gets it right.

Don't listen to that absolute ponce Jamie Smith he is an absolute garbage human being who likes leaving negative reviews for no reason, the absolute slimy cretin is tarnishing the great reputation of this tandoori, of which I have been going to for 7 years.

Absolutely horrendous food I received my food after an 1 hour and 20mins and when I received it one the meals was wrong and it was cold as well never going there again DONT GO!!! Doesn’t even deserve 1 star

I was so impressed with this waiter Sterling as he was very helpful and cordial and is a big reason for why I give this restaurant 5 stars, this young man deserves a raise, the food was also the best I've ever tasted

I had a spicy chicken (not very spicy) dinner here a few weeks ago and it turned the contents of my digestive system into a pressurised liquid before I’d even left the restaurant. As none of the others I’d dined with suffered the same affliction I was convinced to come back last night for another try. I had a vegetarian meal as I was wary but still spent last night waking up for repeated visits to the toilet. 2 of the other guys were feeling poorly today and I have since heard another of our crew was ill for 3 days after a visit. I wouldn’t eat here again if I was paid handsomely to do so. This restaurant needs a visit from a health inspector.

Very nice Indian meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The food was well presented, tasted delicious and hot. I enjoyed the Chicken Tandoori and Meat Biriani I had. An enjoyable evening. Would recommend a visit if you are in the area.
