Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere, staff and service. From the moment we walked in - on rainy November morning at 0830 - we were made to feel so welcome. Ordered omelette with bacon and sourdough - will definitely set me up for the day.

Great little cafe. Beautifully decorated and the workers were just wonderful. Exceptional service and the yummiest food! Authentic home cooked meals. The staff went above and beyond, turning the music down for my grandad who has hearing aids in. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this cafe.

A warm welcome, great coffee, delicious and filling food cooked fresh (so there might be a wait but totally worthwhile) with plenty of choice. Also home baked cakes and brownies. Manageable for mum with a rollator and disability access bathroom. We really appreciated that they turned the music down for dad and his hearing aids too, not that it was super loud just it made it hard for him. We came in summer and sat outside before, this time cosy inside. Thanks so much! When we're passing Poundbury again we'll come back!

Only the second time to this fabulous little cafe. Would love to come more often but we live too far away. Genuinely home cooked delicious food, very friendly ladies that run the cafe with a real passion for their trade. Decor and ambience is great and all spotlessly clean. Service with attention to detail and a smile.

What a lovely little cafe, stunningly decorated. It felt like home. Met by a warm greeting from the hostess and instantly felt comfortable. Menu is different from the usual offerings and the food was fantastic! I had the Nourish bowl which was packed with a rainbow of different vegetables and a very tasty chicken breast. My husband had the Brit and Boer breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed. Portions were generous and the food all appeared freshly prepared. There is a great selection of deserts and even some Gluten free options. We tried the Melktert and the Orange polenta cake which were delicious. All in all we had a great time and look forward to returning soon.

Had the most amazing lunch today at Fable and Food with my daughter and her baby. The pulled lamb salad bowl was fabulous with chargrilled aubergine, courgette, sweet potato , flatbread and so much more. Beautifully fresh salads and the lamb was sensational! Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu as it all looked delicious 😋

Always enjoy this cafe. All made from scratch by an ingredients focused foodie so not the cheapest but worth the extra I would say. Excellent crunchy sourdough, fun menu choices and generous slices of delicious cake (my fave is coffee) made with actual butter! Lovely teas and coffees too.

I’ve been staying with friends in Sherborne, and tonight we fancied fish & chips. As this establishment took card payments I decided to order from them. Rang to check & got superb phone service from a team member, who took my order & collection time. As I ordered three cod, I was asked if I’d consider haddock. A brilliant bit of selling, so I changed my for to a haddock and didn’t regret it one bit. Upon arrival, it was continued great service & excellent customer interaction with us & existing customers. It’s so rare to find such great customer service, especially coming from London, where it can be very hit & miss. Our food was superb, freshly prepared & looked great too. Portion size was brilliant (a large chips feeds three! Well it did for us). I also ordered two pickled eggs, a wally & two sides of mushy peas (which I don’t normally eat, but tried it & was dry pleasantly surprised). The chips were not soggy in any way, & the batter on the fish was outstanding. Light & absolutely perfect; the best I’ve ever had! I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone, on so many counts, not least on service, food quality, freshness & price! When I’m back in Sherborne, I’ll be returning without question & will tell everyone about how good this place is! Many congratulations to the entire team, seen & unseen!

Stayed here in August 23. Lovely accommodation, spacious and clean. Vikki and Martin are both very helpful. Really relaxed atmosphere. The children loved playing in the games room and the communal garden. We might even come back for another visit. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

The waitress was really polite and efficient and coped well when somebody is front of me, an impatient and perhaps a little rude customer was speaking. I was impressed. The hot chocolate was good. I went there to meet with a tutor and, although there was a friendly buzz of chatter and sounds, it was quiet enough for me to be able to listen to the tutor. Thank you.

It's good to know there's a vegan restaurant in Lyme Regis. It's good, affordable, run by a cheerful cook, and is conveniently situated on the short main street, not far from the sea and the sea and close to the gardens that overlook the beach.
