Chips were ok but not chippy chips ,crunchy chips ,cod was tasteless,battered sausage horrible. Won't be going their again.

Worst food l have ever had! Tasteless food!

Visited after 9pm mid week for fish/chips, where most other places were closed. Staff were happy to cook what we required. Decent portions and fresh fish. Will Visit again.

I ordered of the web page and they took my money but now it’s been an hour and a half of it saying awaiting confirmation. I tried calling and nobody picked up. It says they’re open online but I can’t contact them

Pizza tasted like it had curry sauce on not tomato!! There was no tomatoes mate!! 👍🏻

I only purchased 1 regular portion of chips, but despite the fact there was no other customers in the shop I had to wait 10 minutes for them. The chips looked ok when I opened the box but they were actually inedible. Very tough and chewy. The only thing I can imagine is that they were old chips reheated? Definitely something not right about them, I threw them in the bin. How can a chippy be unable to make chips? Very odd!

What on earth is this?! The chips are brown, barely any cheese (it's a mesely amount of chips too), barely any batter on the burger and soggy underneath!! To top it off they originally delivered to wrong address! We want our money back but I doubt we will. First and definitely last time! Oh and we had to wait 2 hours from order to delivery

This is the latest name for this business, which has always been a fish and chip shop since I was young. I had chicken nuggets and potato wedges on the latest occasion, very nice. Have had cheesy chips too on a couple of occasions, very nice.

Very good, the prices are not high, and the taste of the crispy fish is great

Utter rip off charging 5 pounds for 6 shop bought chicken strips i knew there was something fishy going on the way they was talking under there breath i threw them on the floor i was so mad

This Takeout has had 6 different owners that I can recall over the last 9 years. The last owner was probably the best but he only owned it for a very short time and sold to a person who owns another outlet in King Street. I decided to try tonight and was disappointed. Chips were under cooked and for a regular portion they were small in number. This fish (cod) was tasteless and the batter was very wet. Not impressed but my cats were.

Asked for a sausage and got a spring roll never going there again

First time ordering and was extremely dissatisfied with the food I received. I ordered via Deliveroo, 1 minor error was that my large bottle drink was forgotten but this was just a small forgivable error. However the rest of my experience topped that off. Chicken was slimy and soggy, even flipping a piece over looked like it had rot underneath. What I ate (which was not much) had an overwhelmingly salty taste, so much I couldn’t taste much of the meat. The batter on the chicken had the consistency of wet, gritty newspaper. It was not pleasant and left the majority of it. The ‘famous’ potato surprise was something that I was excited to try out after hearing about it in the media a few months back when FCR first opened. Sadly this was not to be. And for it to be claimed as a ‘family recipe’ and a ‘specialty’ is a bit of a lie unfortunately, and should be ashamed to be classed under as those statements, especially as a family recipe. If I was served that during a family meal, I would rather take a running jump off Yarmouth pier than eat that. They were undercooked, dry and inedible, and once again another item of food which was over seasoned. It should be famous for one reason only, you can probably get the gist of that from my previous statement. Overall a very poor experience, I have had my fair share of bad takeout experiences over many years but this one has unfortunately made top of my list. With slimy and salty chicken, to the ‘famous and special’ potato based item on their menu, the only ‘surprise’ I got was a terrible evening meal and a few pounds down (both in weight for the lack of sustenance this evening and monetary value). I would most certainly not order from FCR again, and I wish them good luck for their future.

Brillaint food brillaint service great staff worth to go if want a overall good quality meal

Was my first visit tonight and was very happy with service received. There was no fish (I was late tbf) and the guy fried me up some fresh cod, the chips we're fresh too and gotta say the chips were some of the best I've had from a norwich chippy in a while. I'd def go back!

The food was cold ☹ chicken tasteless, onion rings chewy, mushy peas, baked beans and curry sauce runny. The only positive was quick delivery which baffles me as the food was cold so must have been sitting in the restaurant for a while.

we bought fish completely tasteless. spare ribs raw. order kids menu scary. chips without salt and look ugly. i will never buy food there. very tasteless and did not bake. very very bad food. never recommend

Very welcoming and lovely chippy

I visited this new chip shop on Saturday afternoon because they were open before the other chippy's on the Aylsham Rd. The owner was a very friendly man making me feel very welcome. I ordered Haddock and chips and a curry sauce. I had to wait for my fish which is fine because it was freshly cooked. My meal was very tasty and would recommend others to try them out. Only thing I'd change was make the curry sauce a little thicker, but the flavour was very nice!
