This is my favourite place for a bite to eat in the area. There are some good vegan options. I usually pick the Vegan Shawarma (soy doner kebab) which comes with salad, pickles, tahini-fenugreek dressing and pitta. I would also recommend the hot chocolate and the plum loaf. It has a nice relaxed atmosphere and is altogether charming.

If you scroll down you can find a review of a person who struggled to find help but for me it was the opposite. Greggs was closed so I popped in here instead for my post gym meal. The staff member couldn't hear me and kept having to ask me to repeat, and then there was a lack of synergy between the two so they were both having to ask. One customer went to sit, she also was being chased with questions :/ come on..... Then when I wished them a good day as I left, silence. I suppose we both got what we wanted but not exactly the friendliest, warmest, or cheapest place. When it came to paying the lady even forget to put in the payment I had to say 'It doesn't say anything' Eating the croissant now, and it is lovely I give it that. But a Small capucinno and a croissant for nearly £6? Doesn't seem very worth it to me.

We tried EZ & Moss for the first time last weekend after reading some great reviews and we weren't disappointed! The food was fantastic, really delicious and tasted fresh. My meat eater husband enjoyed his veggie meal so much, he said it was one of the best brunches he's ever had! (He had the green potato cake type things with poached eggs). The coffee was amazing and we shared one of the juices too, which was lovely and very refreshing. The staff were rushed off their feet, but welcoming, friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that it's a little bit pricey... But then again, I guess that is what you pay for quality in somewhere like Islington.

I love EZ and Moss, the staff are warm and friend and the space is hygge. I love the french toast, granola and breakfast dishes. This is my private place to go and chill out. I love my coffees and my single shot flat whites are made perfectly with a matcha muffin.

Small single front with a cat logo. Fairly priced, affable helpful staff. Simple metal and wood chairs and tables with the option out on the pavement of Holloway Road if you dress up warm. Excellent selection of tasty snack and some more substantial meals with a good selection of coffee which for us came filtered. We understand it can get busy but it was comfortably laid back and we had an easy time. Great place to bring children of all ages, grandma, your mates or just sit on your own with a book. Liked every aspect of this place. Nothing fancy, just take a break.

There are a few great coffee shops in Islington and this is certainly one of the best. The flat white was very strong with very creamy froth. The espresso tasted strongly of liquorice and was a great drink.

I came here for breakfast and have visited before, they do great food even if overpriced. Their gluten free cakes are nice and more expensive than most places. I ordered a coffee and the older lady who served me asked me which I would like and I asked her which would she recommend and she shrugged her shoulders so I then asked her to give me whichever is strongest and she didn't know which one was the stronger tasting one! At this point I was getting flashbacks in my head of the McDonalds coffee adverts and at the same time thinking "it's 9.30am, I just want a fe***n coffee" so I just pointed to any! The coffee was really good I'll give them that but the service could be better. If you're offering special blends then you should know what you're selling and more importantly tried them yourself to be able to offer a recommendation to your customers.

EZ & Moss has been around for a few years now and was one of the first new quality places on the lower part of holloway rd. Offering delicious middle eastern inspired vegetarian fresh fare - think ottolenghi. The two owners have made the cafe a quiet sanctuary on the always busy holloway rd, serving an ever changing menu of vegetarian based dishes as well as cakes, teas, coffees and juices / smoothies during the day. Whether for breakfast or an afternoon coffee and cake EZ & Moss have you covered. Pop in and say hello!

Very lovely to have tried another independent veggie cafe in London. The cafe was beautifully decorated, it provided a comfortable vibe for me and my cousin. We both had the EZ breakfast, it was purely delicious! The scrambled egg was one of the best we’ve ever had!! It was lovely to have a different version of the typical vegetarian breakfast. Also the orange juice is AMAZING! Definitely worth the price, it was one of the best I’ve ever had.

I ordered poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and which cost £8.20 *sighes* surprising how much 2 eggs and a piece of bread can cost. The cafe itself was alright, the staff weren't overly friendly. Two other customers had arrived and ordered after me however I had waited 20 mins for my breakfast and they had somehow managed to get their food before me which wasn't great. Thankfully I wasn't in a rush but it all adds to the review and experience. Wouldn't rave about this place, it was average, like any other small 'quirky' cafe!

Even my friend who is not a vegetarian herself has enjoyed her full of protein brunch with eggs and avocado! Came for late Saturday brunch and the place was busy but relaxed and not crowded. Staff were happy to answer my questions and service was quick. Was a bit disappointed there was no wholemeal bread for the french toast but it tasted so good I can't say I regret it! The fruit on top was fresh, the bread soaked up the batter very well, and the presentation was lovely. Will be back another time for the mushroom omelette which, like the french toast, can also be made vegan ;)

The staff is smiley...but:Despite the high price of products, I found out that so little can be done by the staff in such a long time.Paying £6 for a toasted sandwich with ONLY mozzarella and waiting 20 minutes to have it served is highly unsatisfying. My friend ordered an expresso which was brought to our table 15 minutes later, despite seeing FIVE staff members behind the counter. An extremely loud background music made us leave the place earlier than planned. Is's too bad, because I read positive comments about this place and I really wanted to try it, but after these two occasions, I doubt I'll ever go back.

Been here a few times and food is always nice but absolutely overpriced. I mean £3.50 for a piece of toast if you are allergic to gluten is just not cool. Have visited this coffee shop several times. It is basic but pleasant - coffee plus cakes and pastries. However, what stuck out on my last visit was how slow the service was. This is one of those places you don't want to recommend because you want to keep it all to yourself. But that wouldn't do them justice. We end up here at least once a weekend. There are so many regulars you start to recognise everyone. The service isn't the fastest, because that's how it should be! They make each coffee with care and precision. The food is all vegetarian and vegan with special attention to gluten-free, they make their own almond milk and cakes and treats. This could easily feel a bit uppity but it just doesn't with them. Great simple decor and always a great soundtrack. Free wifi, power outlets.. but most importantly, the best french toast you've ever had in your life!

This is a cozy cafe. On a chilly afternoon we were fortunate to be tucked in the back corner next to the heater. The service we received was friendly and prompt. We ordered two quiches with green salad and one Americano. The quiches were flavourful but everything in and about them was soggy. The salad ingredients were overdressed and not fresh. Portion sizes were small. Our bill was £14.60 which was expensive for what we received. We were disappointed and won't be back.

Out I went, for a thoroughly intense knees-up with Janto, Chunger and Big Mervyn. After drowning our sorrows with Big Merv’s inheritance from his deid Mam, and ingesting some lighter fluid avec workerman’s glue, we headed to The Joker for a knees up. First in, Chunger got in the pints which were all exceedingly tasty and helped wash down the acrid tang of glue at the back of my throat. It was only after Janto repeatedly and brazenly kept impersonating a couple on a date next to us, by doing the young man’s lovely, soft posh accent that things really got funny. ‘WHAT IS SO FUNNY?’ He boomed. ‘Please let’s just leave, these men are savages and I think they’re on something, they’re out of their heads!’ said his date. We laughed some more and Merv said, too right, we’re out of our heads on good times, and also a heavy dose of my deid Ma’s dosh. ‘You sick freaks’ intoned the gent. ‘You think you’re so funny!’ It was then that Chunger stood up and roared with the strength of a hurricane into his own pint glass - ‘I AM TRYING TO HAVE A LAUGH. MY FATHER WAS NOT VERY NICE TO ME’ We fell about the floor laughing and ordering more pints which flowed as fast as the beautiful currents of the Arno. Things became decidedly ugly when I took a gulp of the young gent’s gravy which was on his plate, but Big Mervyn settled accounts by leaning on the man’s shoulder and whispering a few sweet nothings. Overall, I had a cracking night and the craic was 90 as we Ho Ho Ho’d all the way home with the young couple’s umbrella which they very kindly gave to us, as well as £50, which was very generous.
