Friendly staff, good price and excellent food. Location is the best but plenty of parking not to far away.

We had to take our car for a quick repair job and had an hour to spend in Portslade. With two children and a dog on a very hot day, we needed some breakfast and a drinks. This little cafe was the closest. I wasn't impressed by the outside, it didn't look very nice but we only had an hour and we were all hungry. What a delight it was to find the food was far excelled the 'Greasy Spoon' exterior. It catered for vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and had gluten free options as well as the normal bacon sandwich. Even their website doesn't do it justice. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The prices were so good that I'm going to go out of my way (by 60 miles or so) just to try a different dish next time.Even the children really enjoyed their food. If you ever stop in Portslade, near Brighton then give this cafe a go.

Easily my favourite bar ever. JYD is a diamond in the rough. Exuding effortless cool they host stunning music, performance, serve great food and have an amazingly friendly, cosy environment. There is always something amazing happening there, be it art exhibitions, crazy game nights, comedy, music, spoken word and so much more. The staff are knowledgable, helpful and superbly cool. Reminds me of a time before corporate consistency and money ruined all character and charm. The coolest place to meet or chill at any time of day.

Hired out the basement venue for a 21st birthday. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. The whisky selection is second to none and staff knowledge follows suit. I honestly couldn't recommend this place more. If you like whisky or cocktails and a friendly cosey atmosphere then definitely visit Cut Your Wolf Loose.

I can't begin to put how great this place is in words. Well, actually... I can. This is a delightful and exquisite little place with smoothies so beautiful that they would launch 1,000 ships, akin to Helen of Troy - which is quite handy, as it is nestled in the Brighton Fishing Quarters. A great range of drinks and food snacks. Caring, friendly and engaging staff and owner. I love it and you should pay a visit, if you happen to be in the area. A bonafide gem!

As joyless a place as you can imagine. Incapable of taking feedback. Look at every criticism their business receives.
