I'm 61. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Lovely food from the set menu. Particularly enjoyed the fish and chips. One of the barmaids/waitresses pulled the wrong beer for my first pint but I had it, as I was going to have that beer later; these things happen. Not cheap, but worth it.

What superb food and well priced. The fish and chips were as good as I have ever had all our party enjoyed their food. We were served coffee in the garden on a beautiful day. I can heartedly recommend this place

My husband and I have been here before and enjoyed it so chose here to take my parents when they visited from Somerset. Slight delay with my husband's dish which we were informed about in advance by our excellent waitress. Delay was minimal. The food was superb! Best pork chop I've ever eaten! We all had different dishes for starter and main and not one of us could fault anything. Too full at the end would be the only negative! Thank you all for making my parents' visit that bit more perfect! There was also the same lovely atmosphere I've always experienced here. Want to return as soon as I can!

This is not pub grub, this is not bar food, this is not a burger joint. This is a restaurant which serves absolutely superb food. The staff, the presentation and imagination of the food, the superb quality is outstanding. We came away having had a wonderful experience. Well done to you all

Absolutely excellent meal for a group of six, myself being coeliac. I have no worries coming here and have had a delicious fish and chips( the only place where I eat this as I trust them). The deserts were excellent and every meal was priced on the ‘Specials’ list where we could choose a two or three course lunch. Two courses were plenty. Service was excellent too.

Fabulous place, food is always excellent (have been at least 50 times !) just keep going back. Have girls nights and couples nights and family nights! Staff are lovely too! Have recommended to lots of people. Never left a review before but felt I had to having read a derogatory review that just doesn’t befit the place!

This was our second visit after a local recommendation and did not disappoint The chef clearly understands fish. Our food was beautifully cooked and presented, staff were attentive, friendly and efficient and the whole experience was faultless. I would definitely recommend this pub if you are looking for fantastic food, and great value for money.

I usually only go on trip advisor to leave good reviews but after several very poor experiences at this place I decided to share them. Dropped in at around 12:00 for a coffee with a friend and - despite ALL the tables being empty - we were told quite bluntly that there were no tables available and they couldn’t accommodate us. No attempt to jiggle things around or suggest sitting at the bar etc. As I mentioned, this was not an isolated incident. Several times previously I have been there on a Friday night when we were told it was last orders and we needed to drink up - before 9pm! And on another occasion one of the staff actually started washing the floor around our table well before they had called last orders. Don’t like complaining as a rule, particularly about local businesses, but this place is so consistently unwelcoming and unaccommodating that it has really annoyed me! I won’t be giving them any more chances.

We were attending an event at nearby Avoncroft Museum on the Saturday evening, staying nearby and looked for somewhere to have dinner on the Friday evening. We arrived a few minutes earlier than booked and received a warm, smiley welcome and shown to our table. The wine list and menu were already on the table, so we were able to choose quickly. Service was swift and attentive throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious and worthy of a Michelin star and we sent our compliments to the chef. We will definitely be back in the summer as we saw they have a lovely garden, just right for summer dining and drinks with friends. Well worth a visit.

First visit to the Ewe & Lamb and it was absolutely fantastic. Service was excellent, drinks were great and the food was some of the best I've eaten in a very long time. The beef wellington was absolutely first class. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the food and all of the staff we encountered were lovely. Well worth a visit but make sure you book as it's busy!

Had lovely 2 course lunch, beautiful menu, lots of choice we had the chicken in a spicy sauce with coriander rice, it was so lovely Followed by panettone bread and butter pudding - service was friendly and just right. Been here lots and never disappoints

How great to come to the Ewe & Lamb and be greeted by longstanding staff. Food is consistently good and a reliable choice for our meet up yesterday.

My friend and I use this venue to meet up on a regular basis and never have any complaints. However, this time we did notice a reduction in the portion size of the main dish and, in fact, it was not particularly hot. Also the tart was not as good as it normally has been, so marked down this tiime. Hopefully back to normal when we next attend

We visit this pub annually on our way home from Cheltenham Festival and every time we have had a lovely meal. I am GF and there are a good range of options for me which if you are GF you will know is a blessing. The food is beautifully presented, tasty and good value. The staff are friendly, the pub is stylish and the service is timely. I would highly recommend eating here.

Have never been there before. Found online as midway between my son and I to meet for lunch . Delighted to have discovered a new venue. Decor, staff, ambience and food all excellent Nearby Avoncroft museum to be discovered at next visit as arrived just too late - last entry is 3pm.

Small portions, even our 10 year old son said so - tasty but a slight bit bigger would be more in line with expectations

Sunday lunch is exceptionally good, but you must like your beef medium rare! The alternative belly pork was delicious and perfectly cooked, one of our party had the fish from the regular menu and this was also excellent, the dessert menu was varied and delicious too. Service was excellent making for a lovely meal

Excellent food, well above pub grub. Specials menu offered great chooses without being over expensive. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Spectacularly nice food at a great price! Try the pulled pork scotch egg….divine!! Inside the decor is also very nice and cozy. Staff very friendly too.

The two adults really enjoyed their breakfast, especially the eggs benadict which was so tasty. The two children ages11 and 9, who can be a bit fussy were not so happy. The younger one thought that when she cut into her Lincoln sausage it was not cooked as it was pink. It was perfectly cooked, but she still refused to eat it. The older one does not like streaky bacon, she prefers back bacon. All in all we would go back in a shot minus the children.

First time we have been for breakfast. It was delicious, but the adults enjoyed it more than the children. The Eggs Benadict were really tasty, the hollandaise sauce was excellent. We would return as adults and not with our picky grandchildren. Friendly service.

Food and service were good I don't see the need to take £10 from a card for a no show when there were empty tables available. I would recommend but warn people of this practice.

The food was so well presented and the flavours incredible! Not often every starter and every main course has us all swapping plates to try! All this, and some incredible gluten free options for my coeliac daughter - a great find and will definitely be back!

A nice warm welcome upon arrival and shown straight to our table. Service was prompt and friendly and the food delicious and well presented. The only small negatives (and they are small) were that the empty glasses were not taken from the table when new drinks arrived and the ale I was drinking had run out at 1.30pm. This could be a supplier error though and no fault of the establishment. In all, a very enjoyable meal.

The food was lovely. We had roast chicken lunches plus a veggie roast which was delicious. Puddings were all round lovely especially the eton mess. The only comment I have is that the battered halloumi was a bit large.

A very enjoyable Sunday roast. The beef was very tender and tasty as were the vegetables. I have never had a bad experience here, always reliable for food and service.

Fabulous night out with friends. The food was absolutely amazing. Such a variety and so tasty. Staff very friendly, even though it was busy had a lovely vibe and the time inbetween each course was perfect.

Excellent set menu. Good value for money. Service very good. Table staff friendly and accommodating. Had an issue with a dessert and couldn’t fault their attentiveness and desire to make things right. Lovely evening.

Booking the table it was not made clear that the only menu was a fixed price menu, very limiting. The starter and main were poor in size and taste. The only positive was the dessert for two. I normally frequent the Ewe & Lamb on a weekly basis. Food is normally very good and menu selection is very good. Dissapointed with the valentine experience and cost. Will not be making the same mistake next year.

It was an enjoyable evening but the service was a bit poor and the food wasn't cooked fully.

We came for our Valentines meal - which we enjoyed - however there are a few points which made it less than brilliant. We were put in the conservatory which is lacking in atmosphere and warmth and felt like a bit of an add on. The staff were polite and helpful. However, having mentioned I am a vegetarian I was promptly served Nduja butter. I had to ask if it was meat, and of course, it was. My starter was delicious (!!), the main was pretty lacklustre though (ricotta pasta in a tomato ragu), and being the only vegetarian option on the menu, I was stuck with it. The bottom of the menu did say “ask for vegan options”. I asked about them and was told there isn’t any - not brilliant really. We had our puddings to go. I would come back, however I would want to sit in the pub part. Thank you.

We have just got home from the most wonderful three course meal which was delicious and served by great staff and l would give it Five stars at least . What a wonderful experience and one l would do again at a heart beat .

The Ewe & Lamb is an ideal venue for meeting up with friends; walking the local countryside or just enjoying a refreshing drink. Highly recommended.

First visit here for Sunday lunch, several friends have recently visited and recommended ti. Food was excellent, one of the best Sunday lunch's we've had out for many years.

Good, hot food as usual and friendly, quick service. Will come again.

Food was fairly good, although my main course could have been warmer. Our meal was made less pleasant by a lack of cleanliness, with food and napkins on the floor under the table. One of our party used the disable toilet facility which was found in a state of disrepair and was in their words, "filthy".

Myself and partner, came for dinner on Saturday night, food was excellent, service was excellent, But the one thing which we like when we go out for dinner, is not to be rushed, and we were definitely not rushed, we spent 3 hours talking, eating having a bottle of wine, Highly recommend, great value for the whole evening

Excellent meal went to celebrate husbands birthday . Friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Sat by log burner in the bar as we took the dog. As it was a nasty evening It was very cosy. A couple of weeks ago we had a larger family celebration in the Conservatory a lovely Sunday lunch with everyone thoroughly enjoying it.

Food was excellent and the service was seamless . Couldn’t have asked for anything more . The staff were pleasant and professional .

First found out about the Ewe and Lamb as a funeral wake was being held there, the buffet provided was delicious so I could only assume their restaurant food would be equally as good. Absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch every time we visit. Brilliant value for money at £18 per person. So much so, that we travel from Sutton Coldfield to the Ewe and Lamb if we plan to eat out for Sunday lunch. Nowhere else compares. Staff are always super friendly, drinks are reasonably priced and the flavours on Sunday roast (beef) are absolutely stunning. Have not ate from the main menu but would assume this is also very good.

We brought two family members who had never been to gthe Ewe and Lamb before. They were impressed with all aspects of the pub.

Always great food here. Lovely surroundings and I can take my dogs into the bar whilst I eat. What's not to like!

Everyone really enjoyed their food. I had the vegan option which was one of the best vegan options I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Menu choices were a bit random. Too many fancy flavours with each meal.

My own dish was probably the best tasting plate of food that I have tasted in years, but all 3 courses were excellent. Had been cautious about going back to the Ewe after a couple of not so good meals in the past, but so glad that we did.

The portion sizes were better than for a previous visit the only problem was it was uncomfortably noisy.

This is a lovely place to eat - great social vibe. There is a fantastic choice of food - something to please everyone. Eaten here on many occasions and never been disappointed; the food is always delicious. Service is friendly, without rushing or pressuring you. It's a great place to catch up with friends, and has ample parking spaces too.

Lunch with friends and ordered from the 2 course set menu. Amazing food. We all thoroughly enjoyed the starters and mains. Too full for desert. Great service.

Our first visit of 2024 was for the early evening 2 course meal which was superb. Great choice on the menu and the food was beautifully presented and top quality. Service was excellent and all in all a lovely experience.

A disappointing start to lunch when all six of us arrived together and were told our other friend was already at our table. Nothing to do with us. The quiet table we had asked for had been given to someone else. We were then given another table right in the middle of a crowded noisy part of the pub. Otherwise the meal was good and price was reasonable.

Magnificent roast beef great presentation and lovely service.Always the same high standard.Our 'go to' place.

Very well cooked and tender roast beef with accompanying vegetables, tasty gravy and an oversized Yorkshire pudding. Presentation was very good. Desserts were really lovely. Service was professional. First time here, but we liked the ambience as well as the food and service and we will definitely return.

Good service, excellent venue and great food. The chicken Caesar salad was out of this world, the best had and the steak delicious!

A lovely venue with friendly staff and good choice of menu. I meet friend here once a month and neither of us feel inclined to change the venue - we have different tastes but can always find something on the menu to suit us both. You can eat quickly or take your time - there is never any hussle to get you out.

We came on an early weekday evening just after New Year. We were surprised how full the car park was at such an early hour. However, we did get a table and Lily the dog was allowed in the bar. I had been here just before Christmas and liked the haddock fishcake with curry sauce. I had that again with a soufflé to start. I will always have a soufflé if it is on the menu. Both dishes were good. Service was friendly and efficient and there was a roaring fire in the grate. My partner and I are pescatarian and we do like to go to restaurants that are dog friendly. I usually find something I can eat at The Ewe and Lamb. This was a good experience in a well presented pub.
