Worst Chinese for miles around. Chips you could smash with a hammer. I've given this place a chance a few times, but it really is the worst Chinese food I've ever had.

Food good the two girls on desk taking orders not very good customer service and talks about previous customers when they leave not good

Absolutely disgraceful from Evergreen Chinese. We are loyal customers and order collection every week, 20-25 minute wait without fail. Past couple have weeks have been 40 mins but tonight we were told 40 mins and it’s taken 1 hour 30. Gutted we will never be ordering here again. Sort it out!!!!!

Had the meal for one plus portion of chips, plenty for 2 of us. We have had this many times but sadly this time we were disappointed. The beef was very chewy and the rice almost cold. Shame as never had this before. Put us off slightly tbh.

Absolutely applaud. Second visit in 2024 and gave me wrong items both times. Absolutely shocking. Need to take more care when taking orders.

I came last night and the food was the best thing that ever went into my mouth. The chicken curry is gorgeous and I can’t even explain how nice the chips are. Overall this Chinese will now be one of my family’s regulars! 5/5 from me and my family.

Went to this Chinese takeaway last night, the food was horrendous. The chips were warmed up and in general the food was rubbish. Do not even try this takeaway because you'll be wasting your money.

I tried this Chinese after lockdown，and now it's my favorite chinese takeaway. Staffs are patient. Food was excellent especially are barbecue ribs and chicken chow main，they are always on standard. Best chinese around without doubt.Nothing else needs to say，just order!

First time ordering from here and l was VERY happy with my order salt paper ribs was beautiful. not overcooked and inedible like a lot of places l've tried before.All food tasted very fresh.one of the best Chinese takeaways I've had in a while. will definitely be ordering from this place again.

Used to be the best chinese food around here but think they’ve changed hands as it was genuinely awful this evening. Duck was just fat and no meat and gave us stale prawn crackers. Won’t be ordering again

First time try here，it's amazing，bbq ribs，chicken curry and chicken balls are perfect. Don't need wait too long even on Friday night. Girl who takes order is kindly and helpful，great service.Must be the best Chinese in this area. I will definitely order again.

I've been using Evergreen since Oct 2019.... Back then I rate it 5 stars but now its just 1 star... Meals from here is like riding a roller coaster. Its like the lotto... If ur lucky u get a good meal otherwise in the bin it goes. Last night we were served with cremated prawn toast and rock hard warm chips :(... the previous wk they served us warm rice and old chicken ball so we had 2 put it in the microwave but I must say the chowmein was really nice... Like I say its hit and miss with Evergreen...maybe it time to widen the horizon and try somewhere else....

Used this for 25 years. Lately the owners that ran this Chinese takeaway for approximately the pase 6 years simply disappeared and a whole new crew of staff appeared. Suddenly the food and dishes were unrecognisable and declined to very low level of food that was disgustingly unatable. Do not pay your good ,hard earned money on this swill. My last order had under cooked beef and chicken that was still bloody. The smell from the king prawns was stomach cherning. I was so discussed i didn't even return it i binned the lot. I now frequent a excellent Chinese takeaway called Happy Gardens in Kingswinford. Their food is fresh and tastes delicious. DO NOT ORDER FROM THE EVERGREEN CHINESE TAKEAWAY!

I ordered crispy chicken but I was mistakenly sent a Cantonese style dish even though they tried to say it was my fault. I returned the Cantonese dish and picked up my original order. It contained no meat whatsoever. Just batter (I suspect this was done out of spite). My wifes meal was a tasteless, congealed mess that contained a teaspoonful of cashew nuts. Bring back the original owners because the new people have turned the place into the worst Chinese takeaway in the west midlands.

I recently moved to this area and have been looking for a good Chinese.... I research a few review sites (TA, google & Yell) and come up with mixed opinions so I decided to try for myself.... I was glad I did... I went there on Sunday... the place was packed which was a good sign...When it as my turn to place an order I had service with a smile. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and my meal was ready within 15 mins. We had an excellent Chicken Curry FR, Beef Chow Mein and 1/4 Duck...Just found my new local Chinese :)

Used this takeaway on and off for many years but haven't been for a few months. A couple of weeks ago on my way back from work decided to go and get my tea, on entering I noticed the staff had changed (that happens) ordered my usual and left. The food was OK but I did notice a change in quality but it was OK! I returned a couple of weeks later and again noticed different staff, after reading the latest reviews on T.A. the lady taking the orders seemed to be the new owner or hoilday relief, so I enquired where the very cheerful and helpful lady had gone who had worked there for many years taking our orders, to be told abruptly..... NO IDEA !!!! Then to be completely ignored. If you are the new owner then drop the attitude and don't treat your customers as if they are stupid, or you will find you will have no customers! Also if you are the hoilday relief, the owners need to return ASAP before there is no buisness to return to. What's the problem? Has this takeaway changed hands? Have the previous owners gone on hoilday? I was only asking, why the secrecy? Again the food was OK but not the usual quality. My rating is not based on the food but on the attitude of the new owner/holiday relief.

DO not purchase food at this Chinese takeaway! It saddens me to say that after 24 years that i feel compelled to write this review! In the years i have purchased food from here it has changed ownership once ,that9expressed,were excellent at all aspects of running a thriving food business. Approximately three months ago i went in to collect my food order and as i usually did i struck up a conversation with the lady owner .She informed me they were having a few weeks off and not too worry as they had employed staff to look after the business and maintain the same top quality of food. On my next order things were beginning to show signs of the food quality deteriorating as my chicken coating was burnt and my egg fried rice was soggy and mushy. The next few orders were worse and each time i did return these but the straw that broke the camel's back was on my last order which consisted of a dish consisting of pork that was clearly raw , chicken that was grizzly and chow mein that was very greasy making the lot unatable. When i returned this order the woman,whom was supposed to be a temporary employee for a couple of weeks,actually laughed at my complaint,i informed her that the food quality was unacceptable and that after all these years i would not be doing business with them in the future. It appears that this business has chaged hands ,it saddens me that the previous owners could not have told the truth that this was the case. Bye, Bye Evergreen!!!!!

Called tonight for a late Chinese on the way home, seemed friendly on the phone, they advertise that they close at 12, phoned at 11:41 saying I’d be there in 5, arrived at 11:50 and when asked if I could have a simple pot of curry sauce added on was met with an eye roll, stoney silence and a general feeling that I should have felt guilty for giving more money to the establishment 10 minutes before advertised closing time by the lady on the desk , also the shutter doors came down as I was leaving giving off the feeling that they never wanted me there in the first place, have used this fast food service for 15 years plus and have never been made to feel this way before said closing time, I suggest the lady in question changes her customer approach changes as it could possibly lose first time or regular customersVery rude, wont use it againCheers love

First time visiting this takeaway and I was very disappointed! We had friends over and after collecting the food, there was a main dish missing. Went to fetch the Chinese curry which was supposed to have mushrooms in and there was one mushroom in the whole dish! They did give us the extra rice to compensate but feel very let down as when we got back the rest of the food was cold. Noodles were not great either. No menu online so had to order without knowing the price or meal deals. No delivery option available.

As the title says. I just wish they would deliver as sometimes I can't be bothered to collect. Apart from that it's one of the best around

Really nice food and friendly service....just wish they would deliver. Closed on Mondays. Open 6 days a week. Reasonably priced. Varied options available.

We have only been using the Evergreen quite recently and the food we have tried is very nice, the chow mains are a tad greasy but they contain plenty of meat. It’s a very popular takeaway as it always seems busy.

Generous portions and good tasty food, reasonably priced. I go regularly. Well recommend it. Really busy at the weekend, I don't think I am the only one who likes it!

My wife collected herself a Special Chow Mien on Saturday night, having looked forward to it all day. It was the worst meal she has had from there, we have used it for a few years, but maybe time for a change

Had friends over my usual takeaway was closed. My friend suggested evergreen has he only likes there food. On the other hand won't be ordering personally my self again. Ordered sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style (with pineapple etc) I received a breaded chicken breast with a tub of sweet n sour sauce. Ordered some salt & pepper ribs which were overly spiced and couldn't be eaten. Ain't be returning!

Best Chinese takeaway in the area. Used to live nearby & moved about 3 miles away. Have tried others in the area, but there not Up to the same standard. Fabulous food. Good value for money. Been going here for just over 5 yrs. wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic the service is brilliant, very quick the lady that takes the orders is so pleasant always smiling, and the food is brilliant would recommend to family and friends

Had a couple of takeaways from here now, food is always very good, the only slight criticism is on a phone order for collection they say 15 minutes and ends up being more like 25 minutes but this is only a minor criticism, if ordering on a Saturday night just add 5-10 minutes on top of what they tell you

La comida no es el mismo en ningún otro sitio!! El servicio es rápido, la relación calidad-precio y la comida sabe increíble. Sin duda merece la pena probar si eres local. La única desventaja es que no valen.

Este lugar regularmente. Nada de flash, pero el servicio es rápido y la comida es muy buena. Yo a veces tengo la carne mezclado curry que me llena. Toda la carne está bien cocinada. Nunca tuvimos una mala comida para llevar desde el evergreen.

We have had a few takeaways from here. The staff are friendly, the food is good and well worth the money. The choice of food is the normal favourits, but some of the specials are very good.

Myself and my daughter had a takeaway from here it was disgusting the chicken wasnt cooked properly and some didnt seem like chicken at all, it also tasted very salty, we will definitely bot be eating from there again.

Curries don't carry much flavour according to my husband and the sweet and sour sauce always has a metallic tang which is very unpleasant. Wouldn't go back in a hurry. Have now found a much better alternative take away.

Had chinese take away from Evergreen this weekend and the quality of the food was excellent. Although it's my local, I hadn't used it for ages, but I will definitely be a regular from now on! The portion sizes are very generous, staff are friendly and didn't have to wait too long.

Friendly staff and yummy food. My son loves going in there to see the fish under the counter and the lady behind the counter is always friendly with him and gives him a lolly. The food is nice and a decent price. The place itself could do with a touch up, but it's a take away, not a restaurant, so that is unimportant.

I think they must have been under new management because normally when phoning in an order you are told a time to collect and is normally ready when you get there.On this occasion you just joined the queue so no advantage in making a telephone order.

I have been using this takeaway for a while now and i can honestly say it is the best artound. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. Give it a try you wont be disappointed!
