Amazing food and super fast delivery!

I have been coming to Everest for a long time and left great reviews all the time, but sadly not this time and rang up to complain, a simple little thing of removing the vegetables from the biryani sauce ruined the meal especially when they made the decision to do this and with no reduction in the price of the food, a costly mistake as we will now find an alternative restaurant.

Called the restaurant after ordering to ensure that they would supply the salad as per Just Just Eats app. Told by a make they no longer provide the salad but since it was on the app they would. No salad provided!

Really good food and big portions!

Everest inn I have had a few deliveries from this restaurant, but was very disappointed with my meal tonight, think they must have changed chef as my biriyani was far to spicy, no veg in sauce which has always had in before, don’t think I will use again so so so disappointed

In our opinion, the best restaurant in Dunfermline. Great food and staff. We don't get to visit as often as we would like, due to moving out of the city, but whenever we get a child-free night, we head through to the Everest Inn for a great curry. Highly recommend! Hope to see you again soon.

Another excellent meal at Everest. Great choice of dishes and quality first class. Service as always friendly and personal. Came with our son who decided he would try some different dishes than he usually orders. He so enjoyed the ginger and honey chicken, and said the Kathmandu was superb! As always my husband had his favourite Jalfrezi, and I went for the delicious North Indian Garlic Chicken. Presentation always perfect. Highly recommend to everyone.

Excellent food, good quality, full of flavour

We were staying in the area just for the one night and went to The Everest for dinner. We booked on their website which was easy. The staff were very friendly and explained some of the dishes that I had not had before. The food was superb. Tasted really fresh. I can highly recommend coming for a meal if you are in the area.

Used to really enjoy my curry’s from the Everest but the last 2 I’ve had now have just been really watery and bland! (Tikka masala and Balti) Don’t know what’s happened cause it used to be really good? Don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again now which is a shame.

Excellent food but getting a bit expensive now

Tonight is the last time I will order from here again. Every business has misunderstandings and mistakes happen it’s common. However tonight I received the wrong order before the driver told me it was wrong it had already been paid for at the door, then put on a plate so he told me to keep it and he would speak with the manager and find out if we had to pay for it and come back. Which is totally fine we were fine with paying for it. No one showed up, 2 hours later I receive a call from a worker to say the driver said we hadn’t paid for any order at all, I correct him and said it was definitely paid for. He put the delivery driver on so I could speak with him and I have never received worse service the driver sat arguing with me asking how was it paid for when it was the wrong order in the first place. He still argued with me further then said wait and I’ll check again. Worker comes back on to say there was a misunderstanding and I told him I didn’t appreciate the rudeness from the driver after he had made the mistake, and couldn’t even finish my sentence before he hung up on me. I could literally hear him put the phone down and when I called back he said the line cut off on my side. Worst service I’ve ever received, driver wouldn’t even apologise the attitude was appalling

Best Indian and Nepalese restaurant in Dunfermline. Great food and very friendly staff. I recommend the Indian chilli garlic. It's absolutely delicious.

Good Indian and Nepalese curry place with lots of options. I had a paneer skewer then vegetarian coconut curry, and my partner had chicken. The naan breads were large and tasty. Only downside is the music seems to be on a short repeat, so you'll hear the same pleasant track multiple times.

Prawn starter was battered not cooked in butter as was stated on the menu. Chips stone cold as was one of the main courses which also had some traces of rice in the carton like it had been scooped out from the buffet rather than cooked to order. Chicken pakora had no batter on it.

A very nice restaurant with very helpful staff. The food was delicious. Loved the aniseed flavoured chutney at the start to go with the poppadom. The best garlic chicken flavour ever. Many thanks for the lovely food.

We love the food from Everest and it's our go to restaurant when we want Indian or Nepalese food. The service is good, the staff are always very friendly and helpful and the costs are reasonable.

Another fabulous meal at our favourite Indian Restaurant. As always a warm friendly welcome from Bomika and Jamil. I decided to try one of the new dishes 'Chicken Chettinade', my husband sticking with his favourite Jalfrezi. Both were delicious, along with our usual starters of poppadoms, bhajis and pakoras, they never fail to please, washed down with another favourite the lovely Merlot from Chile. A Saturday evening, the restaurant very busy, but they always have time to give their customers great service and attention. ***** thank you to all staff and not forgetting the great Chef.

Consistently one of the best places I’ve ever ordered from. I live in the west of Scotland and come back east for family gatherings and always look forward to an order from here. The food is absolutely superb- none of the bland and cream-added dishes, everything is very unique and totally delicious. Might actually be my favourite in Scotland…and this is my second curry night of the week! Thanks folks, well done.

We have been customers of Everest for many years both as sit in and takeaway. The food is always delicious, portion size is generous, and you always get a warm welcome. Tonight we had a takeaway of chicken jalfrezi and North Indian garlic chicken, which were cooked to perfection. What more can I say! - Love love love, thank you!

I've had better frozen tikka masala from a supermarket, totally tasteless, wouldn't have known what i was eating if i hadn't made the order myself! Chips were dry and cold, rice was nice 😏First time I've ordered, sorry won't be ordering again, 🙁 Hate to leave negative reviews, but I've never tasted a chicken tikka so bland....... 😒

Definitely one of the best curry houses in town for takeaway. Delivery times can be over an hour but we try to take this in to account when ordering. Never had a bad curry from this restaurant, however some of the sides are not so great in comparison to other curry houses. Chicken pakora can be quite bland and small portion and naan bread also small in comparison to other places. Will definitely continue to use this place in future

Take away for us tonight.... and wow what a meal. Don't know the name but it was 34 on the menu. Lamb melted in your mouth. Curry hot and spiced with mixed bay leaves, cardom and others. Vegetable rice was amazing with fresh veg that was actually al'dente. Cooked to perfection.

Always amazing!! Visit here as a family regularly and always have an amazing visit. Not only is the food 10/10 but service is always amazing, workers always so friendly and chatty😊 always recommend when people are looking for somewhere good to go for food! Big thanks all round!

We have used this restaurant a couple of times in the past and we're very disappointed, a family member was there a few weeks ago and said it was delish so we thought we would give it a go. Our food was ready really quickly but as before the food was disappointing, very bland and not very nice.

We've been using this restaurant for take-aways and also eating in for a number of years now. I can honestly say it has the best food....we've never been disappointed! The staff are very friendly and helpful and they highly deserve the awards they've been winning recently!

Very short notice booking on a Friday night, not been here in a long time, 10 years or more maybe, Wish we hadn't waited so long, it's hardly a wonder they have won awards last year!, very very nice full flavored dishes, old classics on the menu but I like to try chef specialties, my wife had the fish while I had a lamb dish (hundi) ...both cooked to perfection and all served with a friendly smile. great staff would highly recommend this little restaurant.

Absolutely delicious and generous portions. By far best the Indian in Scotland. My family and I have been coming for years and are never disappointed. All the staff are super friendly and look after us very well. A must visit!

Excellent once again! Have eaten and ordered at the Everest Inn for many years. Jamil and the rest of the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent and they have a good understanding of good allergies with the menu being clearly marked for gluten etc. Would highly recommend!

Had a few takeaways from here which were really good, this was first time eating in. Service was great, beer cold, house wine good, food was absolutely fantastic. So many places pack their curries with loads of onions or peppers to pad it out, Everest gets the spicing accurate and gives more meat & better sauce, which really makes the difference. Will be back!

Visited the restaurant this weekend with friends and once again the food was first class. Even got the chance to sample a few new dishes. Remains our go to place for a curry.

We have been going here for about 13 years as a couple and family of four. It's a fantastic restaurant and completely deserving of all the awards they have won! Top quality and always welcoming.

We had lunch here with my family. The cuisine maintain high standards. I highly recommend it. They have introduced several new curries that are quite delicious. If you never had himalayas chicken there you should definitely give a try.

Been a customer of Everest for many years. Always held it in the highest regard, until recently. They may boast award winning status, but details matter. Recently not been able to read orders and accurately fulfil, even though requests plainly written. Not a one off. Clearly attention to detail in kitchen poor and not able to satisfy orders accurately. Sad really. Aside from this, there is an obvious reduction in portion sizes. Probably to address price rises and maybe reduce costs/minimise price increases. Generally food is top notch, but customer service has massively gone downhill. Always held in such high regard, but not what it used to be and now choose to go elsewhere. Sad.

Very quick delivery , food was ok ! After paying cash with £50 note I’m still waiting on my change coming back as the driver had no change ! 1hr 30 mins and still no change . £18.30

Often order from Everest when it comes to Indian and Nepalese food. Never let’s us down, always on time and the food comes fresh and flavoursome. Highly recommend in the Dunfermline area

Food all looked and smelled amazing but unfortunately all 3 curries we got were very bland. Portion sizes are okay. Chips are chewy as if they've sat cold and been reheated a couple times. Samosa got mixed reviews, bhaji was okay.

Chicken was good, but 3 stars as sauces tasted like creamed tomato soup, with slight changes for each dish, including the paneer side dish. (Not delish mango sauce I've had in other restaurants) Both starters were just big chunks of flavoured chicken. Tasted fine, would make good sandwichfiller, but strange starters. Full sugar cola, not the ordered diet coke, so that's binned.

Always great fresh food. Bring your appetite though, generous portions.

I had a takeaway tonight and it was the most tasteless Indian meal I have ever had. Nan bread terrible and tandoori mix was missing everything!! The sauce was like something that had been frozen then heated to be delivered. I will definitely not be buying here again

Absolutely disgusting and unable to eat! As soon as the box opened all I could smell was lentil soup, and funnily enough that’s exactly what the Chicken Korma tasted like. Chicken was also bland.

Friends took us here and we loved it. Menu is slightly different from the standard Indian Restaurant. Of course this has a Nepalese twist and you can taste the difference. Absolutely delicious. The honeyed chicken starter can't be missed. The Katmandu curry is mouthwatering brilliant. Next time we are in Dunfermline this is where we will be heading.

Used to like Everest. Chicken Pakora always came with salad and sauce. There was no salad and sauce this time. What’s the point of pakora without sauce?

Delicious food! Service was very friendly and they helped quickly and well despite the crowds. We had a starter with spiced potatoes, papadum with different sauces, chicken tikka masala and shashlik lamb, all good. Read some negative reviews about the food in advance, in my opinion unjustified.

Very nice indian / tibetan dishes, nicely spiced, friendly staff, decent prices. Despite arriving way later than announced (due to travel delays) and only minutes before kitchen closing time, we were offered to order whatever we liked to take away. Although we had to have dinner in a hotel room (which was of course not the restaurants fault), we really enjoyed our meals.

Worst indian takeaway ive ever had, more flavour in a packet of ready salted crisps chicken tasted like it had been stored under the chefs armpit for 3 days, dry chewy and rank - although youd probably get more salt from an armpit than any of the food we got. Bland. Peshwari nan, equally terrible Irn bru was good but warm, probably the only thing that kept the chips warm. Should of had a micro meal instead

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our carry out tonight. 2 kormas that tasted like lentil soup. Maybe the other food is good, but won’t be back. My partner never ate hers it wasn’t good. £30 for 2 kormas, 1 x rice and 2 x nans. I hate leaving bad reviews, but it really wasn’t good

Had take-away, but you can also sit down. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Difficult when ordering over the phone, the food wasn't ready after the specified time and it was very chaotic, but we said the food was great.

We originally meant to go to dhoom because it was closer, but they closed their kitchen 45 minutes before closing, which was really not pleasant. So we called Everest and they still sat us, and that was so fortunate for us. Everything start to finish was spectacular. The papadum was so perfectly made: really crisp with a light hint of salt and no stale lentil taste to it, and the sauces incredible. I had a spicy Nepalese curry that was unbelievably flavorful, and they even accommodated my special request to have both chicken tikka and vegetables, so it's made exactly how I love and was the best I've ever had. My partner and my son both got the chicken tikka masala which was the best I've ever tasted in my life and even the cheese naan was just perfectly made. Everything we had was simply at another Level: this included vegetable pakora and samosas as well as the ginger honey chicken bites that I simply have to figure out how to try to recreate l. This will be now our go to spot for us and I'm so glad we found it.
