Having discovered Anna Purna two years ago, it is now a weekly "take away" staple in our household - I do apologise that it's taken so long to leave a review!. I cannot put into words how utterly amazing the food is, being a Veggie I've always struggled with what to get when ordering a curry, but discovering AP's "Paneer Khursani Masala" I simply cannot order a curry from anywhere else, noone does a dish like it.. it is utterly amazing, slightly spicy, slightly creamy. I have even turned non-veggies onto this dish & even they say they wouldn't look back and order a chicken dish now!! You can tell the food is homemade, always arrives hot and fresh. Another must is the Garlic Naan.. I'm sure it comes with a disclaimer online due to the amount of Garlic used, which always gives me a good chuckle?! Unfortunately it doesn't last long enough to take a picture to show you all, but please trust me this is 10/10!!! Had friends round who (as part of their order) got Peshwari Naan (never usually order this online due to the fear it has raisins in it, this one didn't!!!) and spicy onions.. which were also amazing! We've never had a bad experience here, and everyone who's tried it though our recommendation hasn't had a bad dish either!! Please please please if you're looking for a good curry try Annapurna Gurkha Restaurant!

best restaurant in kirkcaldy 💯 incredible food. would absolutely recommend, the place was empty when i entered, which is such a shame as the place is miles ahead of all of the food places in kirkcaldy (no shade xxx) i really enjoyed the vegetable curry and my friend absolutely necked the annapurna special. 5 stars. flawless food

Just had a takeout tonight ordered through an app which was late, but the food more than made up for it. Ultra tasty, fresh and not swimming in ghee. Really delicious.

Chicken makhani and machhi pokhari (fish dish) were both amazing. Fish quite hot but beautifully flavoured. Huge portions. Delivered when requested.

Delicious food! I have had food from here many times and it is always fantastic with so much flavour. It is obvious that care is taken in preparing and presenting the food. I would definitely recommend.

As good (or even better) than when we were last here (which was over a year ago). I worked in Nepal and the food here is as good as the best I had in the country. The welcome, the food and the ambience are excellent. It is worth noting that every time my wife and I have eaten here there have been a number of local groups also dining. This says a lot about how good it is.

This is my go to restaurant in Kirkcaldy! Food is amazing. The surroundings in the restaurant are quite basic but the staff are lovely.

We had a home delivery for 6 people. We had all ordered different curries, rice's etc..everything was really delicious, really generous portions, lots of chicken/lamb. The vegetarian paneer dish was also wonderful. Complimentary poppadoms and dips. Really couldn't fault anything. Great service, great food, good price. Highly recommended.

A spontaneous evening meal with colleagues was made more delicious by the food. Wonderful flavoursome home made chutneys made the popadoms pop. Lovely mixed starter - Rich and tasty main courses with big portions. A great find in Kirkcaldy, where good eateries are few and far between. Lovely, attentive staff who made sure everything was as we wanted and then kept a watchful eye without unnecessary quizzing... Well done and thank you.

Got a take away from these guys this evening. We'd walked 21 miles and were knackered. Speedy delivery. Very generous portions. Stunning flavours. Tender meat. Don't over order! Really great service with wonderful food. Perfect recharging of our batteries.

Delicious food for good price, I think. I didn't have to wait long for my order. I could tell the food was prepared by experienced cook. It was as spicy as I like it. Was neither too hot nor cold. Looks good as well. They keep the place clean, which is extremely important to me for any restaurant. I wish all places were as tidy as this one. Very friendly atmosphere and decor details in gurkha's theme, like some himalayas mountain pics on the walls.

Intimate but enough room between diners. Great selection of Gurkha dishes, a couple of Indian draught beers on offer. A selection of wines and spirits. Great food and good portions. Reasonably priced and a good experience.

We had a party of about 20 people on a work night out. Food was great and service was exceptional despite having to deal with a large number of people. Definitely coming back.

Takeaway is always superb and plenty of it. Best takeaway in Kirkcaldy never once been disappointed. Customer service is also excellent and always arrives on time.

Wonderful food and even better welcome and service. A super-friendly restaurant serving genuine Nepalese food as well as standard Indian fayre. The breads are the best I have tasted outside of the Indian sub-continent and Middle East. It seems a shame that so many people choose to order from home rather than enjoy the welcome, but each to their own.

Magnificent food. Beautifully spiced and balanced on any palate. The menu is extensive and covers everything you could desire. Having had takeaway on a number of occasions we went in for a meal and we're doubly blown away. The food quality and flavour are excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Verdict, top marks for eat in and delivery!

Best Indian meal I've had in fife. May look uninspiring from the outside but the quality of the food is immense. You are never disappointed going for a meal here.

If you like Indian cuisine then you will not be disappointed with a visit to the Annapurna! By far tge best indian around. Service at times can be slow but definitely worth the wait when your meal comes. The staff are always pleasant and the cost is reasonable. Never been disappointed

We looked at the reviews and they don't do the place justice this is the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to the place dosnt look the best but the food was amazing with large portion. Cannot rate Annapurna highly enough. It is THE best nepalese/indian food I've ever had. The service is top notch and always with a smile. Highly recommend you try their restaurant, you won't regret it.

The food was really tasty and good, we ordered Paneer Khursani Masala, Dal Makhani,Vegetable Samosa(St), Naan, Rice and Mango lassi. I can recommend friends & family and vegetarians. Everything was perfect 😍

Got a delivery and arrived bang on time and piping hot, the chicken jalfrezi was especially delicious, the nann was perfectly done and as for the 2 sauces that come with the starter is amazing, very nice meal indeed will definitely be ordering again 😋⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always a pleasure visiting here. It's not much to look at from the outside (or inside for that matter) but what counts is the food. Always delicious, we've never had a bad meal from here and even though they removed our favourite spicy paneer starter from the menu they happily make it for us. We've taken guests here and no one has ever said anything bad, our go-to in Kirkcaldy when we want to eat out.

This was my second time here. The first I had the lamb shank which was amazing. This time I had the chicken tandoori, which had a rich spicy flavour and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Can't recommend this place enough.

People from asian background wound not like foods we had like biryani, tikka etc. it tastes weird. Though the service and atmosphere is very good.

Food was great, once it eventually arrived. The restaurant was very busy and it was a Saturday evening, but we waited over an hour for our food. Now, I understand that when it’s busy it causes stress for the waiting staff, but during our wait no one came to explain or apologise, no one asked if we’d like another drink. When we (politely) asked what the problem was the waitresses were clearly annoyed, discussing our table and looking over. When they brought us a second drink, I thought we were getting it tipped over our heads! Still, all’s well that ends well, I guess, but I would say some customer service training wouldn’t go amiss.

My friends and I waited over an hour for our food. The staff ( women) were rude, with a “couldn’t care less attitude “ . Displaying mockery to our group. Whilst leaving the restaurant we walked around the back of the building to where we had parked. To my disgust, there was a white van man collecting food orders , smoking inside the vehicle. Health and safety should visit the premises

Ein super süßes uriges Familien geführtes Lokal. Sehr einfach eingerichtet aber das Essen ist sehr lecker und absolut zu empfehlen. Wir hatten einmal das Madras Curry und einmal das Tikka Masala dazu gab es ein Chili Nan und eine Portion nepalesischen Reis. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen. Auch das Preisleistung Verhältnis ist optimal.

Truly good curries and sauces. Annapurna has all the usual Indian dishes, plus some Nepalese dishes and a selection of foods from the northern regions of India. Hearty portions without being wasteful. Service was very friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable, too. My only complaint was the loud ringtone of the restaurant's phone; the restaurant received many calls for carry away. But the food and service were lovely.

Cosy place, very friendly and efficient service, great food. Everything was good and we like spicy food so weren't disappointed. We had a delivery service last July and ate in the restaurant this time. Both superb options. We will definitely return next time we are in Kirkcaldy.

Staying in the area overnight for a funeral the next day, we drove into town to have a look for an indian or asian restaurant. Glad we found this one. We do enjoy Nepalese cuisine, but this was outstanding! Quite plain inside, but comfortable. Quiet, since we were early in the evening. Easy parking across the road, friendly welcome from our helpful waiter, extensive menu too. We shared the lake fish starter, which was delicious, as were our mains. Good value too...Highly recommended!

Ordered a takeaway 16sep told would be 45/60 minutes...phoned after 20 minutes late arrived 55 minutes late and tried to charge more .NOT IMPRESSED. a hame really because our favourite takeaway food is very good, but need to improve delivery times or we won't be continuing our custom.

50/50 this one. The Chicken Makhani was just like tomato soup! No shine from what should be ghee/butter. Not even close to what a proper butter chicken should taste like. Expected much more from an award winning establishment. The Kukhura Khursani Masala was good though. Was packed with flavour and would recommend that dish. Pakoras and chutneys were decent enough. Nan bread also good although would prefer them in a brown bag so they don’t go soggy. Maybe they have other tasty mild dishes but to fail to prepare a pretty standard butter chicken concerns me. Also the price was a bit much for a takeaway for 2 at just under £40! There are other options in the general area who offer decent enough curries at almost half the price, it needed to be special to justify the extra cost and for me it didn’t live up to the expectations set. Good service but a mixed review on the food unfortunately.

One of the worst indian takeaways i have ever had the food was all cold most likely because the delivery driver didnt know where he was going! Now for the taste of the stone cold food well it was the most bland tasting indian takeaway i have ever tasted in my life on there page they big up the garlic nan well i had a plain nan and a garlic nan and you couldnt tell much of a difference a slight hint of garlic at best, half it ended up bin going out to shimala today for a nice indian to make up for it

Very welcoming! High quality, authentic Nepali food (I frequently worked in Nepal and so feel able to comment authoritatively), As we are just visiting the Fife coast we will only be able to eat here a few times but if this was closer to home I would be visiting regularly.

This is a bit more expensive than most places in Kirkcaldy but it’s worth every penny. The food is amazing and the service is efficient, friendly and discreet. Always come here when it’s time for a treat

Just ordered a home delivery prawn was cooked so much could hardly see them chicken was dry chips under cooked . I've been into the restaurant and the home delivery isn't the same value for money £29 it's a discrace the food was of very poor quality .I will no longer get a home delivery cheap and nasty . Can't criticize this place on anything. From start to finish the place was crowded "I noticed a works night out" but still didn't stop the great service we got. The food was full of flavour and generous amounts too. I will certainly be going back...

Some of the best food we’ve had in Scotland. We had two appetizers and two entrees and it was plenty. The food was well spiced and the lamb in particular was perfectly cooked. So delicious, we couldn’t believe how quiet it was!
