Served by a lovely lady Donna and couldn’t remembered the other women’s name but both were so lovely. Food was brilliant, will definitely come back!!

I only bought chips last night, and they were luke warm and hard. I was looking forward to them but I feel fobbed off!

Actually disappointed at this point. I have been a relatively regular customer for a while and at this point I'm going elsewhere the portion size for a large chips is shockingly small. For a chippy it's just a joke for you to skimp on chips of all things.

Got 2 battered sausages which were soggy. 2 portions of chips one with cheese which were barely warm the cheese hadn't even melted at all! The curry sauce was like jelly. Absolutely awful awful awful. Will not be returning.

Terrible chips cold peas so dried up not one drop of pea juice and small portions plus they forgot to put sausage on chips sausage and gravy. This used to be a good chippy would never recommended now worst chippy tea ever had

Gone down hill big time! Awful, rude staff! Went in a couple of weeks ago, no other customers in the shop and was told I'd have to wait until she'd finished ordering her McDonald's delivery. Just been back tonight, ignored whilst the staff had a conversation about shutting the door an hour and a half before closing time, to stop customers coming in. Wanted a battered black pudding, heard the girl frying say "no chance, takes too long". Then was told that they weren't defrosted by the girl serving. I'd suggest getting some staff that actually want to be there, have better attitudes and aren't turning customers away! Won't be returning!

I love this chippy and the food from their is brilliant but the reason I'm giving a 4 star what I don't like is how they have items on their menu such as half rice half chips half curry sauce and they don't even have rice like what's the point of advertising it on your menu when you don't have that particular product it's dumb anyway hope the manager reads this

Best fish and chip shop there is in my local area. The food is delicious at very reasonable prices and the staff are very loyal and friendly. Even though there were times when I had to wait for quite a bit as I do understand that at certain times the staff are extremely busy dealing with a lot of other customers and they got to me as soon as they could. I have been going to this chippy from when it first opened and have not had any problems at all. Definitely would recommend and keep on going there as a regular customer if I say so myself.

Food was alright but a bit on the cold side, due to the girl who was serving too busy talking to a lad that had just walked in the back door, she had been out to petrol station for drinks but never washed her hands once when coming in and out of the shop, she may have had her hair in a bobble but it was that long it was hanging everywhere. Now I'm going to mention her really bad attitude, asked her a question about my food and the reply was "yeah why" with a look of disgust then tried to have a laugh about some scraps and again she said " well its alright for free" and then in front of all the customers" i dont want to be here i feel like going home " to the lad next to her. Its a shame as its a good chippy and today has definitely put me off going again due to her making me feel uncomfortable,

Bit poor friday evening, had pre ordered but they had forgotten to cook one of the fish when I got there, when I got home with the food the fish looked like they had been battered with a steak hammer. Very pale chips, not quite cooked, a bit hard. In 2 minds now whether to bother going there again, not the best friday night tea

The blonde woman who works during the day has a bad attitude and over-frys the fish. All in all the meal was very poor today, dry chips, I counted19 chips in the box, staff standing round picking their spots. If I see the miserable blonde woman at any time in the chippy I'll walk on by. I will only go back in there when the pleasant and better fish-fryer is around.

I'd been going to King Kod down the road for a while, but decided to give Evans a go after paying about 8 quid for fish and chips. I wasn't disappointed, been there every time since!

Food good but always have to wait longer than normal for food.

Good size portions and Great prices all round. But specific specials menu offers meals such as "The Cod Eye" which is exceptional value for money. Majority of Staff lovely and friendly which always makes it pleasurable experience x

We got a small fish and chips meal, a jumbo sausage meal and Chinese curry sauce. My wife said the fish was amazing. Couldn't fault the food at all. Service was fast enough along with being friendly. Will be returning

Due my daughter being in hospital and my wife staying in with her I thought for ease I'd grab some chips rather than cook for me and the son, well I only wanted chips not killing of covid!!! No masks on and a customer leaning over the counter with no mask on as well laughing and joking with no covid screens up and the 2 people only sign on the door is very poor to see and to top it all the staff need to take a lesson in customer service too, talk about rude, no thanks I'd rather starve that put my life at risk of catching covid!!!

Just stopped at Evans Fish and Chips. I was greeted by two very friendly servers, who took my order and made it perfectly.. Some places don't do gravy... Some places put gravy, salt and then vinegar..this place does it right..vinegar salt and then gravy.. And what a taste the food has..!! The building is clean and tidy, good selection of drinks available and reasonably priced.. I can't see how they're going to improve from here, so a thoroughly deserved 5stars..

Regularly drive from Blackpool to go here because its the only chippy I know of that still does turkey sticks (when in stock) and battered spam! It's always good, better than any of my locals by a long way.

Love the dinner time special . Very cheap.2.20 had the fish another evenings delicious. As I dont likely lot of chips I tend to only get these on a lunch time as theres just enough . All the food is good x
