Etci Mehmet Steakhouse in Liverpool

We came for an late lunch at 4ish, didnt realise there was a lunch offer on till 5pm. 2 courses for £15.95. We had Hummus and Turkish sausage to start, which was delicious, and we both went for the mixed kebab, which is an extra £6. That was amazing. The lamb was so tender, literally melted in the mouth. We couldn't finish our meal and they gave us a box to take it home, which we finished later on in the evening! Really good service, staff were very friendly too.

first of all, when you sit down at the table you notice that the chairs are very dirty, the staff very unfriendly, I ordered the food which is too expensive in the first place and secondly I ordered two of the most expensive steaks and I asked for one medium and it came overcooked and dry, peppercorn sauce as they call it, it didn't even taste like peppercorn sauce (very bad taste ), the overcooked rice was more like a mash and without any vegetables... I gave a steak back because it was overcooked and I told the manager to give me a mixgrill instead, but what can you see, even after half an hour the food didn't come, when I asked the manager why the mixgrill didn't come , he said that he forgot...during our entire stay no one came to the table to ask how the food was or if we wanted anything else...very disappointed for the prices (higher than at a reputable restaurant)…. Also when we ask for the bill they try to charge me for the steak I give it back, luckily I take time to have a look over the bill and I see it…..I don't recommend 3 out off 10

Absolutely awful experience. It was my hen do night we had a table booked for 11 people for 7pm, we got there at 6 45pm and there were no tables available. They told us to wait as they will figure something out even though we had a reservation and everyone had also paid a deposit. We were only sat down at 7 20pm and this was after they brought in tables from outside for us and there were still people from our group that were nearly squashed between tables to try and fit in. We ordered our starters and mains and the starters came fairly quickly however we waited for our mains for over 1hr and every time we would ask someone for updates on our meals they would say 5 more mins and they would then dissappear for like 10 mins come back and say another 5 mins wait. The food was amazing and the fireshow was stunning however I would not recommend this place for a larger booking or for an important event as it might end up being ruined due to the waiting times and the unprepared staff. We ended up not having any dessert from here and we went somewhere else due to all the issues experienced.

We had a good time. Staff were really helpful and looked after us. The meals were very good and good value. The music was very loud. We did not leave a tip as they add a service charge onto the bill. The negative, I ordered a bottle of still water and was charged £8 for it-it was tap water in an unsealed bottle. I thought restaurants cannot charge for tap water

I have tried their branches in Birmingham and Manchester. I was glad when I found the restaurant in Liverpool. Food was good, the only issue is the shoulder arrive cold. The service was good, thank you Younes for your nice service 👍 He tried to help all custmeors with smile and love.

Basic at best to be honest. Food quality is definitely not reflected by the price. I opted for the mixed kebab. Chicken was really dry but the lamb was ok. Wasn’t terrible but for the price they charge I would expect better. I also paid £12 for a starter that elsewhere would have cost around £7. Staff were polite but really passive aggressive at the end swiping a google review card on my phone and standing over me to give them a better review. This is a clear attempt to falsely rate the restaurant better than what it is. Below average at best tbh.

The staff are quite welcoming and lovely, however, this was the second time I had a horrible food experience. My first experience and second were lovely. Good food, a little slow with the sides, but it was okay. On my second last visit, my steak was cooked rare. It was so rare, it was tough to chew, in fact, it was so rare, it wasn't actually that warm in the centre. However, the manager assured me that I had no idea what medium looked like and I must be wrong. My partner insisted we give it another shot. So we returned. My steak, this time, was done well. However, my partner's steak smelt and tasted rancid, with a horrible aftertaste. Again, the kind manager came out and informed us that this wasn't possible, our two tongues must be wrong and that the steak was perfect. We didn't pay for her steak, nor should we, it wasn't really eaten at all due to the fact it tasted horrific. Decent waiting staff, silly manager and hit or miss food.

Foods very basic. Frozen tesco fries, steaks are very average and music is very loud where you can barely have a conversation. Ca’s here as toros opposite was closed but toros is miles better.

Competent Turkish style food, a bit on the pricier side for Liverpool.

Took my daughter for her birthday meal. It was fantastic, can not fault anything. The staff went above and beyond for my daughter's special evening. Good tasted fabulous. Ended with a traditional Turkish tea.

My eldest son chose this restaurant and given the fact my husband and I thought we knew everywhere in Liverpool, we were slightly nervous! It was absolutely beautiful. The staff were incredible and the food just as good. I would highly recommend you get the steak, it comes with quite an experience which really makes the evening feel a bit different. In the heart of Bold Street, Liverpool, we popped in for some deserts and we were very impressed. The baklava was delicious and fresh, which was accompanied with Turkish tea which is a great pairing. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Ambiance in the restaurant was cosy and inviting.

Nothing special, the lamb was reheated and defo cooked from previous days. The rice was not tasty at all and the bread nothing to do with Turkish cuisine. Disappointed from the automated answer as well.

Me, my partner and our 19 month old visited here on Saturday. The food is not great, very overpriced especially for what you get. The atmosphere is great as well as the service but it seems this is all they focus on. If you select one of their special steaks then they will provide a show with fire. It wasn’t safe especially when the restaurant isn’t very spacious and there were babies close by including our son. We won’t be returning.

I have always wanted to give this place a go after seeing Instagram @the_scouse_ghetto_gourmet review the place. My partner and I tried their lunchtime menu, and we were not disappointed at all. You could choose from the main menu, but the lunchtime menu was great value for money, and the portion sizes weren't reduced either. I had the Turkish sausage with Turkish bread and peppers, and my partner had the hummus with Turkish bread. For mains, we went for the Turkish meatballs and chicken hanging kebab. Couldn't fault the food. The service was great, and as mentioned before, the price was great. Would definitely try this place again, but off the main menu.

So. The experience here was a weird one. The positives are: The staff are amazing. Our waitress kayleigh was so sweet and the manager Bortu was super attentive. Additionally the fire show was quite nice. The negatives: 1, The place was far too loud. It was incredibly hard to hear the person sat opposite which was disappointing. 2, the food was slightly disappointing. The rice with my steak was hard, there was an ungodly amount of balsamic and mustard......?? on the carpaccio. I've never heard of mustard on a carpaccio... with such a high amount of sauces, you couldn't taste the meat. Out of 5 people. The 2 people who got the meat skewer enjoyed there's. The other 3 did not

Lovely food and great atmosphere in this restaurant. Good range of Turkish food- not just your typical kebabs. Well worth a visit. Had a few minor issues with service but the food more than made up for it.

Great welcome all staff looked very smart and very friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and presentation was good. Drinks overpriced but didn’t bother us no alcohol. Only negative was when we arrived music was background Turkish tunes, but then it was hyped up, volume...

The waiters were very kind and proactive. The food was very tasteful, One of the best kebabs we have ever taste. Hand made, very good quality of the meat. One of the restaurants’ meals, spicy king prawn was an increndible starter 9.5 out of 10 Highly reccomendable.

The food was pretty good but it is about 50% more than the 5+ other Turkish/ Middle Eastern restaurants on that street for smaller portions and isn't much better quality if any. Most other tables got a show with fire but they didn't with our table even though we ordered some grilled dishes. Just plonked a cup of dry ice down after we were already halfway through eating. Tried to take our plates away while we were still chewing and they had food on them 4 times then rushed to get us the bill without offering any more food (dessert) which we did actually want to order. It was half empty so it's not like they needed the table. Had to chase up on drinks so was nearly finished by the time the 2nd set arrived and they didn't bring 2 of the first. Baklava was nice and a big portion (though for the price it should be) but the showy cutting didn't actually cut through it and we weren't given knives so it was a pain to eat especially from a wooden board. After all that terrible service and inflated prices they had the cheek to add a 10% service charge which we were clearly unhappy with and they made us feel really awkward about getting it removed.

First time visiting Liverpool restaurant and it won’t be the last. The atmosphere was wonderful, the music just right and the staff very welcoming. If I didn’t know I was in Liverpool, I would have thought I was on holiday, a lovely authentic vibe to the place. The food was good quality and very tasty. We loved the flame cooking of the steaks and the entertainment. A lovely evening experience.
